I went to see Gina at Salon Nyla for a haircut. She's so kind and professional and she did an excellent job with my hair. She listens to what you want and makes you feel truly cared for. Her haircutting skills are so good and I left feeling great. I highly recommend going to this salon for a haircut. I will also add that the salon itself is immaculate and comfortable. I will be going back regularly for sure!

If you’re looking for a place that gives great perms, look no further! I love perms, and this is my fifth time getting one. I always make sure to read reviews and look at photos before booking an appointment, so if you’re doing the same, I hope this review helps! For context, I’ve had a few perms in the past that didn’t turn out great. Sometimes the curls were too loose, some strands stayed straight, or the curls fell out within hours after the perm. These experiences made me anxious about trying a new place. Then I met Jennifer! She’s the sweetest, kindest hairdresser you’ll ever meet. During our appointment, I felt truly listened to. I told her I wanted a tighter perm because my long hair tends to stretch out after a few weeks. I showed her some pictures, and she exceeded my expectations! Jennifer was incredibly meticulous, spending a lot of time on each rod to ensure every strand of my hair was curled perfectly. My hair is thick and long, which made the process even more challenging, but she handled it with patience and a smile. She put in 227 rods over the course of five hours, which was no small feat. Not a single strand was left uncurled by the end. Beyond her technical skills, Jennifer was so thoughtful. She took the time to teach me how to care for my perm and even showed me a new trick for diffusing my hair. At the end of the appointment, she trimmed my dead ends just because she wanted me to look my best. Honestly, Jennifer was a lifesaver. I have a really important event this month, and I’d been feeling anxious about my appearance. She worked wonders with my hair and gave me the best perm I’ve ever had. I’m so glad I found her! I’ll definitely return to Jennifer for any future perms. If you’re in the same boat as I was and decide to book with Jennifer, I know you’ll be in great hands! First time having my mullet permed and I will never go anywhere else. Jennifer did an incredible job. She takes pride in her work and it shows. I needed to do my hair asap, have it colored and have the bangs fix before a wedding. And this place took me in right away, even having them start an hr before they open up! Jennifer did an amazing job on my hair, I had it colored rose gold after having the other ladies help me pick out the right color for me. She did an amazing job on the whole process of it, making sure my hair doesn't get destroyed. Everyone was very friendly and warm, would definitely come back to have my hair retouched or for other services they have! I really love my new hair!

Employees have always been nice and helpful when I've gone in to buy products. However, the hours of operation on Google are incorrect. They're not open on Mondays, according to their times listed on their door.

I've been having my hair done ayy Salon Nyla for a year plus... I'm a resident of the building in which it's located - RussellvillePark, so it's very convenient. But, ALL of the hairdressers are very good, and over always been very happy with the haircuts, simple shampoo and blow dry, and today work my hair color - yes, I do that to hide all the gray! Thank you, Jen for today, and all the other 'do's'...!

I can't speak highly enough of Jennifer. She squeezed me in as a walk in and completely changed my look. I had always had a hard time with my wavy, straight, frizzy, difficult hair. She is the first stylist to bring out my curls, gave me the best bangs, and got my entire head to be fully curly. No more straight hair in the front and curly in the back. She's super friendly and genuinely a great person. If you've got some curly hair needs she's the stylist I'd highly recommend.

I didn't even know this place existed so close to my house. It is connected to Russellville Independent living, but do not let that deter you from making an appointment. Crystal is awesome! Quality cuts and color!

I needed a haircut so badly yesterday. I honestly meant to go before the quarantine. When I finally got around to it, well I knew it was time and so grateful that it was time. I wanted to go because Salon Nyla was very sleek-looking and and literally a hop-skip-jump from home. So I jumped on MAX, our light-rail system, and was there within minutes. Following their posted rules, I knocked at the door and was let in quickly. After a consultation with Crysall, my stylist, about the high and low points of my hair, I sat down and let her get to work. Then, with mask on, I was shorn very stylishly and happily. Salon Nyla followed all the rules for cleanliness. I felt that Crystal really listened to me about what I wanted; sometimes I don't always get that impression from stylists, but Crystal not only listened but got it. We had fun together talking and laughing as well. She checked on how I was doing throughout the haircut. I would have to say looking at the results of my haircut I was very pleased. Please be sure sure to book a session with Crystal. I left knowing I would be back.

I have curly hair and specifically went to see Gina after reading some other reviews from people with curly hair. She was friendly, easy to schedule with, her prices were great, and I love my haircut. I'll be going back for sure.

Great place! It has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and they were able to accommodate me as a walk I. Bang trim immediately. I've driven by this place heaps of times and I am so glad I went. Krystal did my trim and she did a great job. I am super pleased with my bangs, she is meticulous and professional. I usually drive almost to St. John's to get my hair done because I've had one too many bad experiences and don't trust my hair with many people. I am so glad I found this place and will be coming back in the future! Thanks guys!

I went in for my first post covid haircut. This was a new salon and hairdresser for me. Pamela took great care of me. She listened to what I was looking for and did a wonderful job on my locks. My husband loved it. I will definitely be going back.

I went to Salon Nyla for a hair fix. I got the Ombre/ Fantacy color. It is exactly what I was looking for. Crystal is an amazing artist, and an amazing person.

Nyla has been cutting my hair for over 30 years now so clearly I won't go anywhere else. Not only does she do a great job, but everyone there is so nice and helpful. I've had services from manis and pedis to facials and they've all been fantastic. I continue to go to Salon Nyla even though getting there is now a long drive -- it's worth it.

I booked a 1 hour massage, a 1 hour facial, a mani and a pedi. The massage therapist was late. My massage ended up being 45 minutes. My facial was next. It was in the same room. After waiting 5 minutes (it's now 10 min after it was scheduled to start, she came in and started rummaging around for stuff. It didn't start for 5 more minutes and ended 5 minutes before scheduled. So yes, my hour facial was 40 min. My mani and pedi were rushed. It did not feel like a spa experience in the least. I may as well have been at Walmart. The techs were all very nice, but I did not leave feeling pampered in the least. This was my first spa experience in Portland and I will not be returning there. I work too hard for my money to get ripped off.

New favorite salon! Gina is awesome! She nailed the color and cut. She gave me all her personal attention and triple checked to make sure every single gray was covered. Awesome place. I highly recommend this salon and definitely recommend Gina she was great.

This has been my go-to salon for almost 2 years now. I love Adele. She has excellent Aveda product knowledge and takes great care of my hair. I take my 8 and 4 year old sons to see her, too. She is very patient with them and fun to talk to. It's a full service salon with nail service, massage, waxing, etc. They take walk-ins but reservations are best because the salon is in the lower level of an aging care home and the little old ladies like to look their best.

Salon Nyla gave me a wonderful experience from start to finish. I was a first time client at this particular salon, but I have been to other Aveda salons in the past. I was lucky enough to have Gina to help me figure out what coloring I wanted to do with my hair as well as a haircut. She was extremely knowledgable and walked me through her thought process the entire time. She was incredibly friendly and the conversation flowed naturally, which can be hard to do when meeting for the first time. I had a very late-in-the-day appointment, but I never felt like she was rushing through to finish and go home. We were there almost an hour and a half after closing time, but I never got the impression that she was even remotely annoyed. She did a beautiful job on my hair and I will certainly be back for my next appointment.

I went to Salon Nyla for a cut and color. Gina did a fabulous job and I've received compliments on my hair from strangers and family. The salon is very clean and stylish and the people are friendly and helpful. I'll be coming back again.

I love love love Anna Marie! This would have been 5 stars if a) she was still there, and b) they would have helped me to find her instead of acting like they had no idea who she was. Customer service goes a long way, just saying. 4 years living in Portland and she is THE only person who knows how to cut my hair right! I was super disappointed to find out she is no longer at Nyla, but I found her at JC Penny Salon in Clackamas! I will follow that girl anywhere! I had gone to Anna Marie about a year and a half ago. She was magic. So much so that I didn't need a hair cut for 6 months! When I tried to schedule with her again they gave me some other girl who cut my hair, but I was not a fan. I tried making an appointment yesterday with Anna Marie, but they claimed to have never heard of her (check the reviews, people who love this place love it because of Anna Marie). They made it seem like she had never worked there. I had to super sleuth and go on to this salon's facebook page (where she was heavily represented a year ago) to try to track her down. I found her at JC Penny Salon in Clackamas! And my hair looks epic! Thank goodness for Anna Marie, not so much for the lack of customer service here who was no help. I would have continued to buy my aveda supplies here, but now I want to help them as much as they helped me. Not at all

Crystal did such an amazing cutting my damaged curly hair- plus her and everyone else there was SO sweet! I will definitely be coming back.

This place is over-priced. The pedicures happen in the same room as where they wash clients hair. They charge $50 for an "aromatherapy" pedicure and the "aromatherapy" must be something to do with the salts they toss in the water at the start plus the scented moisturizer at the end. There were very few colors available to choose from, and the bottles looked old/were half empty. I've paid less and gotten the same overall quality of work at equally clean and organized places, but with more colors to choose from. My pedicurist herself was nice enough, but she seemed very, very stressed out. One receptionist was friendly (when I booked) but when checking out the other receptionist spent her whole time on the phone while processing my payment. I felt like the front desk was doing me a personal favor by acknowledging me. I'm really not out to be obnoxious but $50 is A LOT of money that I put aside and I expect a really relaxing, fun experience and a lot of colours to choose from. I also noticed that they had a sign up next to the desk asking people to review them favourably on google if they had a good experience. Not generally a good sign. My guess is that the employees are fine but the management is a problem.

As a first-time customer, I am very happy with the cut and color/highlights that Nyla did. She is friendly and her salon is very clean. I also really like the full line of Aveda products that are for sale. Oh, and promptly after my visit, I received a postcard for $30 dollars in savings and a sweet follow-up note from Nyla. Great customer service and styling services. Refer a friend and receive $10 your next service. You can't beat that.

I just had another fantastic 90 minute massage by Amy. Everyone there is very nice and happy to be of service. I have gone to lot of places in Vancouver, Portland and Beaverton. This is by far the best.

I have been going here for a number of years and I find that the prices for us older folks is very good and the hair cuts are very good for us Gents.

Again, one star because 0 stars in not an option. The space is dirty. Most of the employee are unprofessional. The services are way over priced for what you get. I had a manicure from the shakiest girl ever! My nails turned out terrible. There were tons of air bubbles. I could have done a better job. I paid for a 30 minute massage and only received a 20 minute massage. When another employee confronted my masseuse, she said, "It's my last day, I don't care." And that basically sums up the mentality of most of the employees. If I could do it over, I would not set foot into that salon. I suggest you don't.

What was suppose to be a relaxing day turned out to be a nightmare. It was the most stressful day for the girls and I. First, they are all clueless and make things up as they go. They say they are a full service salon but they don't know half the stuff they are doing. My pedicure was the worse one I have had ever!!! The girl that did it didn't even know how to put the white tips on correctly and told me it would take 10 minutes extra. Well, she actually rushed through it and took 10 min total to do it all. She skipped so many steps such as cleaning my nails and even the leg massage. After all that, they rushed us through the hair and make up. Lets just say I can do a better job with both my hands tied behind my back with my eyes closed. I looked terrible and had to redo my whole make up when I got home. If you are smart, go somewhere else, this place will put a dent in your pocket and a bad taste in your mouth forever. Pros: NONE!!! I would give NO stars if that was possible Cons: Very pricy, clueless receptionist, in-experienced workers who don't care, rude...Just don't go here, you will regret it.

Well I was a bit worried because of all the negitive reviews I read but was told by a good friend they are not true-go and see for yourself and guess what This is the best hair color and cut and just what I wanted. The consuItation made me feel very comfortable. She was listening and really cared about what I was looking for. I had a whole afternoon. Walked in and receved a special discount on a massage and facial. They were excellent. Staff was friendly and professional. It was clean and everyone spoke english. It seems to me on the reviews that most people are quite judgemental. I'm so glad I listened to my friend. I love this place and will return.

Just had the greatest Swedish massage ever! So relaxing, perfect pressure, very accommodating. Only change would be a quieter room/atmosphere, lots of background noise.
