"Salsa Limón is a newer, family-run chain serving up Mexico City-style street food, with locations in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Austin. Order a few of their carne asada tacos with one of their homemade salsas—the mild tomatillo is packed with flavor, and the habanero will have smoke coming out of your ears like a cartoon cat. If you stop by from 2-6pm during the week, you can add on a margarita during Happy Hour. " - emily smith

"This Fort Worth institution is unique among these entries. At its several locations, including Sundance Square, the food reflects the tri-regional heritage of co-owner Ramiro Ramirez. His parents are from Oaxaca and the Rio Grande Valley but he’s from Mexico City. Those influences are evident in the El Capitan taco, a crisped flour tortilla packed with carne asada, a netting of melted Oaxaca-Monterey Jack cheese, a heavy-handed shot of pickled cabbage, and onion and cilantro, of course. If you can’t schlep to Cowtown, drop into the Downtown Dallas branch, Flor de Mayo, a sweet little thing complete with trompo." - José R. Ralat

Google
A great spot for tasty tacos with plenty of options. What I really liked is that every taco has both veg and non-veg protein choices, making it super easy to customize based on what you’re feeling. The food was flavorful and satisfying, and I really enjoyed their Jamaica Fresca—refreshing and the perfect pairing for the meal. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving tacos with some flexibility in choices.

Solid tacos from a fun and bright place. We tried a variety of tacos (asada, barbacoa, pollo, pork) and we all really enjoyed the El Capitan version with a cheese skirt on the shell! The margaritas were pretty good as well! Would love to return when it’s warmer out to enjoy on the patio - and don’t forget to order the Queso and Chips - absolutely delicious!!!

Google
Salsa Limón has never been a very affordable option but it’s always been damn tasty. Lots of things have changed over the years, but as long as they keep pressing those burritos, I will return. Milo, the face of ownership, represents his product well. It’s nice seeing him out and about the town, reminding people that much like himself, his restaurants are fun and best enjoyed with friends.

Google
This place was a happy surprise. The food was delicious. We had the Tacos/rice and beans plate. Everything have a good flavor including the rice. The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere very jovial goood music too. We had no problem with parking, because we use the free parking garage. I would definitely go back the next time I am in FTW.

Google
I went to get a to-go order because I don't eat meat so I drove to this location because I love the grangero tacos and mushrooms tacos I use to go to the one downtown but this location disappointed. They didn't make my tacos right by the time I got home my tacos were missing the Avocado.

Listen to me, and listen close: If you do anything in this life, get the mini bean and cheese burrito at Salsa Limón. The photo does not do them justice. It is one of my favorite things to get in Fort Worth. They melt the cheese on the tortilla, then add the bean. It’s phenom. We have ordered many things here, and always go back to the mini bean and cheese burrito. We literally get them once a week haha. Their rice is great too and you can’t go wrong with chips and queso. We also like their quesadilla. I enjoy their tacos, but I obviously have an obsession with another item on the menu. You’re welcome for my love letter to the mini bean and cheese burrito. Have a nice day.

Love their Torta, the bread is so soft, light, crispy and yummy. Lots of vegetarian options

My wife and I drove in from out of town to spend Easter weekend with my oldest son and his family. My younger son flew in for the weekend as well. My oldest son and his wife suggested that we eat here for dinner last night. The reason for the poor food review is because both my wife and younger son woke up during the night with diarrhea and vomiting. They both ate a burrito. Anytime you come away with diarrhea and vomiting, the food was either tainted by someone or the food was spoiled or the kitchen is not clean and the food was contaminated. Either way, the result isn't pleasant. It should be noted that my son and his family have eaten there without incident.

Yelp
I recently had the chance to try two different tacos at a local restaurant - one steak and one chicken. I have to say, the chicken taco definitely stole the show. The steak taco was good, but the chicken was just bursting with flavor and had a perfect amount of juiciness. The seasoning on the chicken was incredible as well. The ambience of the restaurant was charming. It had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, making sure that everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, I would highly recommend trying the chicken taco at this restaurant. The combination of the delicious food and lovely atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu in the future.

Yelp
I've been going to this particular location a lot lately (I generally go to the one near River Oaks). They've added new items to the menu and they're fantastic. Being a fan of chilaquiles they did not disappoint (I ordered mine without beans). I've tried them with multiple proteins and you can't go wrong with any.

Jetrina M.

Yelp
I went for lunch with friends after visiting the stockyards in Fort Worth. They have happy hour after 2 pm on weekdays and we ordered $5 margaritas that were very strong! Happy hour also comes with chips and salsa (I think with a purchase of alcohol but might also be without). I ordered the Al pastor taco and the carne Asada El Capitan. The al pastor tasted like your typical street taco. I was a huge fan of the El Capitan version because it comes with a layer of cooked on cheese that was delicious! There were also up to 6 different sauces to add on tacos/chips and they all had a unique flavor. Overall a solid taco place! We parked on the street, not sure if there is dedicated parking.

Yelp
Off top i go here somewhat often and i like the food but when im not hungry i get the $2 bean and cheese burrito and it came in a burrito size tortilla right. Then wtf is this? Why they gotta take my bean and cheese burrito to a taco size for

Christie N.

Yelp
Got good fast fast breakfast tacos to-go on a weekday and for a reasonable price. I enjoyed one with potato & one with bacon on flour tortillas. They have a few choices of salsa and I enjoyed their red hot sauce. Very friendly service. We have catered breakfast tacos for work before and really enjoyed them then too!

John C.

Yelp
Salsa Limon is an intriguing place with a unique and tidy decor. They serve great margaritas and refreshing Michelada beer. Our burrito was a bit bean-heavy, but the tacos, with their crunchy cabbage, offered a refreshing contrast. Overall, it's definitely worth a second visit to explore more of their menu.

Dorian J.

Yelp
We were walking down Magnolia and I saw that this place had all day breakfast, so we went in. We chose to scan a QR code and place an order which they brought to the table. The table number is listed right underneath the QR code. The restaurant was very clean, including the restroom. There was a microphone set up and I learned that they were having karaoke. We sat outside on the patio. The food did not take long to come and it was good. The jalapeño margarita was a 9/10. I would come back here.

Kevin R.

Yelp
Absolutely love the food here. It's delicious and consistent amongst all of their locations. Fair amount of seating indoors and some outside if the weather is nice. Despite coming here during the lunch rush, the food came out really quickly.

Irving O.

Yelp
Last time giving them a chance. Its convenient location does not warrant the terrible service and mediocre food. After ordering many dishes and receiving unattractive, measly portions; I am unwilling to return. This place benefits from an unwarranted good reputation. Don't risk having a terrible experience, skip this place.

Gustavo R.

Yelp
Salsa Limon is hotter than dancing salsa with jugo de limon squeezed into your eyes in the Texas heat! Burrito w/ Pollo | 8.4/10 Great burrito - felt hearty! Just every-so slightly smaller than a chipotle burrito for reference. Rice & chicken were fantastic. Burrito held up well! Pro tip: I'd highly recommend getting some of their sauce. Their sauce is boss. Get a clue, hoss, and jump on that sauce! Horchata | 7/10 A little on the sweet side, but still good! & cheap for the amount you get (see photo - a large cup) We will be salsa-ing our way back to this delicious spot again!

Brian L.

Yelp
Been here twice since they opened: Large menus and they always seem to be open. Kitchen is clean, staff is friendly, food is amazing. I would totally recommend the Trompo tacos!

Mike F.

Yelp
I wouldn't call this fast food, but it's really good food served fast! Friendly folks, great service, nice menu, and a divey casual vibe. Look forward to another visit!

Lauren S.

Yelp
Amazing service on cinco de Mayo. We had drinks, queso, and other food. It was tasty hot and fast. Love this place so much!

Lori G.

Yelp
Delicious Breakfast Taco Popped in for a quick breakfast and definitely enjoyed my taco. I chose the potato, egg, cheese & avocado taco. It was $3.75 plus tax. It was brought out hot and fresh to my table. There were four salsas to choose from, I mixed the mild and medium and LOVED the combination. The taco was full of egg and my add ins, but I wish my potatoes were cubed and seasoned. It was more of a simple mashed potato with some crispy bits. It still tasted very good, but cubed homefried potatoes are my preference. The wait time was short, the restaurant was clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend Salsa Limon!

Sebastián A.

Yelp
From a person who has eaten Mexican food all his life.... This place is delicious! Forget Fuzzys tacos. Forget Torchys also. This place is fresh, fast and best of all...delicious! New place in my list and a new resident to DFW.

Reigh E.

Yelp
Salsa Limon is great for a quick counter service lunch. I had chips and queso, 2 tacos, and a fountain drink for like $15. A little pricey- I don't think the quality is bad but it didn't have me begging for more or licking my cardboard boat like some taco places do. I think it's a great setting for a casual lunch/drinks with friends. I do really like the atmosphere. This was the magnolia location and it feels bright but still being full of charm and character. Of the two tacos, the pastor taco was way better than the chicken. They have Mexican colas, instead of coke/Pepsi/etc. I would give the food a 3.5, ambience a 4. I can't speak to drinks to judge those but I've heard good things.

Jaq H.

Yelp
The tacos reminded me of California. I was expecting the barbacoa to be spicy, but it was not very flavorful at all and definitely not spicy. The asada and pastor were great. The spicy margarita was delicious. However, the food was a little pricey and the music was ridiculously loud. My husband and I were forced to sit outside to enjoy conversation, which I didn't appreciate because it was cold. Next time I'd order to-go.

Yelp
Salsa Limón: Delicious Mexi Vibes! Craving Mexican flavors? Salsa Limón has got you covered! With mouthwatering tacos, flavorful salsas, and refreshing aguas frescas, it's a Mexi delight. Don't forget, their online ordering and pickup are super simple. Indulge in a tasty fiesta at Salsa Limón!

Melanie M.

Yelp
This is my boyfriends favorite for breakfast. Portion sizes are large - good bang for your buck! I usually cannot finish two tacos so I get one. Tacos are always grilled to perfection and the ingredients are always fresh. The perfect place to go after a big night out - cute seating as well and very fast service.

Lisa J.

Yelp
I had Salsa Limon back in 06/07 and totally forgot how amazing their tacos were!!! ! The pickled cabbage totally stepped up the taco flavor game, don't skip it!!! The Limeade was so delicious, left craving more. I'm hoping they sell this by the gallon!!! They have the best guacamole around!!! I had two tacos and I was full but I wanted more, could have easily eaten 2 more. You won't regret eating here!!! Several sauces to choose from, mild to spicy! They earned a new forever customer!!!

Marina V.

Yelp
Nice location, inside interior also pretty decent, very clean, i would say pretty nice atmosphere. I ordered breakfast and beef taco, the taco bread was so soft, inside ingredients was so perfectly matches and makes the taco so delicious. Service was super fast. Definitely come back.

Frank J.

Yelp
Salsa limon is a good taco location. The tacos are moderately sized and are about 4 dollars for each. The el pastor is very flavorful and I really enjoyed the bacon and egg breakfast taco. I actually preferred the latter. There is a wide variety of sauces and there is a great and spicy habanero sauce which goes with any taco. Recommend you give the location a try!

Jay A.

Yelp
Great service and really fast. The margaritas were FANTASTIC. Enjoyed the atmosphere/vibe. We'll be back.

Gail S.

Yelp
Great tacos and queso. Counter service was fast and easy. Food came out quickly. Parking lot behind the restaurant. A great lunch spot!

Marli M.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch to use a gift card we had gotten as a gift. The place was small but bright and cheerful. Sadly the music was so loud that we could hardly have conversation, which seemed odd for a quaint restaurant in the middle of a sunny day. My husband and I got pastor tacos and they were small street tacos, but were full of fresh and wonderful flavor! We also had chips and queso which were quite good. Chips had a great crunch and queso was mostly white and mild, but again flavorful. My friend had a beef quesadilla which she said was very good. We will return soon to try drinks and more on the menu! Parking was a little tricky but they had a lot in the back that worked well for us. Food came out so fast!! Also they had good social distancing and ability to order on tablets which I appreciated.

Deb L.

Yelp
Love the location on White Settlement and in west 7th District; this was my first time going to Magnolia and it was great. We got there late (after 7:30) and it was practically empty. We got our food super fast and it was delicious.

Estela Z.

Yelp
Love the food options, bar is great. Add an egg on a bowl meal. Always clean. Service is good.

Oscar O.

Yelp
Best tacos in Fort Worth! Must order El Capitan. Welcoming environment. Great location!

Dana H.

Yelp
I love this place! Perfect any time of day for a cute sit down experience or a quick bite to go. They serve bfast all day and have the best sauces. I recommend the pastor tacos and a tajin rim on your margarita!

Bill K.

Yelp
Good street tacos. I prefer the chicken to the Al pastor. Food is always out quick. The habanero salsa is a must try!

Robert M.

Yelp
Didn't work well for me. There are so many better restaurants in this category, the food was skanky, and overpriced. I almost gave them a. Extra star for the clean bathroom (men's rooms get hammered) but it was flushed when there was nothing to dry my hands. The chips were nothing special and the quest was about average. That was the top food of the meal. I had two of their premium tacos and was underwhelmed with how small they were. The barbacoa was a putrid piece of meat that poured grease out of it. The pastor was a bit better but still very slimy. Basically nothing was added to the meat and tortilla that I could taste. The cabbage was just bland.

Teakila H.

Yelp
Best thing hands down As you may notice I couldn't even wait I haven't sat down or able to get a before picture go get you one or two ... One for now one for later ,because YOU WILL DOUBLE BACK.

Hannah N.

Yelp
My nieces swear by Salsa Limon and this particular location so we stopped in today for a quick lunch. It was easy to get to and they even have a parking lot in the back. The place is not big but had several seating inside and also a few outside. I got the barbacoa burrito and it was delicious. There was an adequate amount of meat and loaded with rice, beans, cilantro, and onion. My burrito came out nicely toasted but my nieces' were not. They have different salsas that you can serve yourself with a sign indicating the spicy level. The habanero sauce is so good as was the jalapeño one and even better when combined together. I also like the self serve fountain drink station. We also ordered chips and salsa. The chips were thick and crunchy and the salsa had a good spicy kick to it. My nose was running and my mouth was on fire but I loved every delicious bite. Service was ok. Not friendly, not rude. The food came out quickly. It was not busy when we came in but definitely picked up by the time we left. I would definitely come back!

Jenny B.

Yelp
Food was good, energy was great dinner was off to a great start and then it all came to a screeching halt. Music blasting in our ears and everyone having to begin shouting just to say something to the person right next to them. I watched this kid probably only 7 years old cover his ears and ask his parents to leave which they packed up right away and left. That wasn't the only table that packed up and left either. I watched almost all the tables around us leave. About a minute later we decided to do the same. We didn't even eat all the food we had gotten. We had to grab a to-go box, leaving cocktails behind. They sure know how to clear a restaurant!. It would have been nice to have known before we ordered the entire vibe was about to change. All of this happened at 8:22, so not like we were hitting late night hours. BTW- the above was written by my 11 year old who was supper annoyed Salsa Limon ruined the nice dinner we and those around us were having. It was for karaoke that was scheduled to start at 8. The DJ turned herb back and played with her equipment while she cleared the place.

Ebony E.

Yelp
Service was good. Food was okay nothing to rave about this meal can be done at home ... but if your sting with kids this is a very safe place to try out without breaking the bank ..

Justine A.

Yelp
My son ordered bacon breakfast tacos. Got home no bacon on them went back had to talk to two people all the guy did was throw some bacon on the now cold tacos. He said they just did it didn't apologize or offer fresh tacos. Terrible customer service. Won't go back. They have gone way down hill. It's too bad I used to love salsa limon it's too bad.

Nick L.

Yelp
Amazing. Best Mexican I've had in Fort Worth. You should definitely make this a go to.

Tom B.

Yelp
Horribly slow service. Prepare to be ignored until someone decides to take your order. The food is good. A bit pricy, but that's the norm in this newly gentrified area.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Margaritas are bomb!! Food was great as always!! Restaurant was clean and service was great!

Francis B.

Yelp
I just got my burrito, which I usually get. This time I have to say that the rice was under cooked. Disappointed because the burrito is the only thing I get from there.

Nasir P.

Yelp
To-Go order review: Service was fast and simple. The breakfast barbacoa tacos are ridiculously good. I've been to a lot of places, big and small, and I think these are some of the best breakfast tacos I had. Great mixed with the "red" sauce for a little kick. The carne-asada tacos I had were a little more on the dry side, but weren't over-seasoned as some places tend to have them. Two breakfast tacos are filling, but if you're going for lunch I'd recommend probably playing it safe and getting three as they're on the smaller side. For those who really like spice in their life, the orange sauce isn't to be taken lightly.

Anthony W.

Yelp
Al Pastor burrito was alright; wish the meat was juvier and had more seasoning. Michelada tasted watered down. I would go back to try something else on the menu before making a final decision on whether i'll be making future visits.

Kendall S.

Yelp
Salsa Limon! I love you. So happy to have one on Magnolia. First of all, it's so cute. Bright, colorful, simple, and festive. The staff is super sweet and they move fast, you get your food so quickly. I'm a big fan of their refried beans, you guys. I don't know what they do different but they just taste special to me. So good!! And of course I can eat their street tacos all day. I usually get steak! They've also got burritos, rice bowls, tortas, and breakfast. I recommend everything! The food has always been fresh and delicious for me every visit. Salsa Limon has a full bar, too. Try the Rumchata, please! I like to get a screwdriver, mimosa, or Bloody Mary..

Hannah H.

Yelp
TACOS I absolutely love Salsa Limon! Their tacos are so delicious, as is the salsas. This location is so cute and trendy inside, there is a very chill vibe. The only thing I would criticize would be the employees lack of enthusiasm, they are polite but not very outgoing. I will continue to go here for my taco fix though as I work only about half a mile away.

Sarah G.

Yelp
love the chips, salsa, quesadillas, margaritas, and karaoke on fridays and saturdays!

Katie R.

Yelp
The best tacos I've ever had. I can't stop thinking about them omg. The El Capitain was soooo good and pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a taco. Margarita was good if you like sweeter margaritas.

Tim W.

Yelp
Bomb tacos. This is a great addition to this local mini chain. Table seating a breakfast counter and a bar counter offer options for seating. The aqua frescos are always fresh. The salsas are amazing just like the other locations. Parking is easy unlike most places on magnolia Easily one of the best taco places in town

Sheela Y.

Yelp
Tacos are always good and come out quickly. The $8 margaritas are, however, a rip off. The 16 ounce cup was filled to the brim with ice and so little margarita! What a waste of money. Also not sure if there was any tequila in that margarita. Save your money and stick to the tacos.

Marlo B.

Yelp
Great location, great food, & great staff! I was with a group celebrating my sister in laws birthday! We sat on the patio and enjoyed several margaritas (the seasonal w/ Jarritos orange & the sour). I ordered the Salsita salad w/ chicken, chips & rockamole ;) , and a Mexican Coke. The salad was refreshing. I love that it's served in wood bowls. The guac and chips were so good. The chips were perfectly salted. And of course the Mexican coke was even better with the food. This restaurant is super trendy and Perfect for Instagram photos ;) I will definitely return to try the tacos.

Krista R.

Yelp
I haven't been to Salsa Limon since it left University and 7th street until recently. Went to Maggie and the el capitan didn't disappoint. I like this location though, it's way bigger than University and 7th.
