Houston’s 17 Best New Brunches, November 2024

"The artwork is as vivid as the offerings on Salseria’s menu, which includes a range of Mexican plates like birria tacos, chicken and waffles, Mexican burgers, and Fruity Pebble pancakes that are equally delightful for adults and kids. Don’t miss its vegetarian-friendly offerings, either: Diners can find figs, blackberries, kiwis, and orange slices in acai bowls topped with fruit sorbet and granola." - Brittany Britto Garley, Marcy de Luna

Went there with my family, absolutely LOVED it. Not only is the food absolutely delicious but it is visually stunning. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, i was surprised that it's not more busy, a definite MUST to go.

I stopped by 1 day on my lunch break. The day was cold so I initially wanted their caldo but decided to try something different. I ordered their Avocado torta. Presentation was nice, food was good and delicious. The young lady was attentive and service was great. I'd definitely return to try other menu items for sure.

🌻🍓🌮If you’re in the Friendswood area, you have to check out this charming and authentic Mexican restaurant that just opened at 2920 W. Bay Area Blvd., right at the corner of 528! 🌮🍓🌻The place is vibrant and beautiful, and the food is absolutely delicious. We tried the street tacos, shrimp cocktail, and strawberries and cream—everything was fantastic! They also offer an amazing brunch, so be sure to explore their menu! We will definitely be back!!

Food is good. Love the quesabirria and quesacamarones, chips and salsa, and my husband enjoys the birria ramen. That being said, the service and friendliness depends on the staff. I’m a regular customer, however was told on 10/6 the rice and beans didn’t come with the quesacamarones when it says it does clearly on the menu and I’ve ordered it previously, but it was a Sunday and I was by myself with my children and didn’t feel like pressing the issue. I think that particular waitress was new, but she was rude to me and my children. On 10/17 my husband and I had lunch together and I mentioned it to the regular lady who is usually there most of the time and she said they’d talk to that staff person, as they’ve received multiple complaints about her. She doesn’t know the menu, is rude, and just not a good server, having to ask multiple times for a box, etc.

I was a little disappointed with the dishes. I guess this is what authentic Mexican street food looks and tastes like. The street tacos were small, but hubby said the meat was tender. My chicken enchiladas are made with shredded chicken breast, not much seasoning, but tender. I do like my enchiladas with some cheese sauce or enchiladas sauce. These enchiladas had none. Overall, it was dried. The roasted potatoes and carrots needed some seasoning. It was bland. I do like the appearance of the interior, bright and clean. The Dia de los Muertos mural adds a nice touch to the restaurant. The walk-up window to place the order is cute. We may return to try different dishes with our kids.
