Maneet Chauhan is Eyeing a Sylvan Heights Restaurant | Eater Nashville

"Located at 4001 Charlotte Avenue in Hill Center Sylvan Heights, the former Salt & Vine was a bright, open wine bar and restaurant that served shareable plates but closed earlier this summer after just two years, reportedly unable to survive the capricious tastes of Nashville diners. Industry tipsters say Maneet Chauhan and Morph Hospitality are planning a new venture in that space; an update notes a lease has not been officially signed yet, and another tipster says the new restaurant would offer fast-casual Indian street food." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Salt & Vine Locks the Doors Today | Eater Nashville

"I’m saddened to report that Salt & Vine, the Sylvan Heights restaurant, will end restaurant service with a final day of operation on Wednesday, June 13; food service will not continue, but the attached bottle shop will remain open indefinitely and will run a close-out inventory sale beginning in July until all their bottles find homes. Owner Mattie Jackson Selecman wrote that “our hearts break” over the premature closure, thanked supporters for two joyful, rewarding years, and offered no explanation for the shutdown or what’s next for Selecman and chef Rahaf Amer." - Erin Perkins

Krista was great! We did feel bad for her because she was the only person working on the night of an event. There were technical difficulties with Singo, so we started over an hour later than scheduled, but her and another employees did all they could with what that had.

Great place for a date night! The wine selection has something for everyone and the charcuterie board was delicious. (They have a huge selection of Texas craft beer as well.) Customer service is on point!! We will definitely be back!

They have really good coffee and the place is pretty neat. There are tables and chairs outside under some gorgeous shade trees. My family and I love it. You can even buy little bags of food to feed the baby highland cow and the tiny little pigs out back.

Great environment and salt of the earth owners! If you can come check this place out. When the wife and I want to get away, this place makes us feel like we’re back in the Texas hill country. We love it.

I'm afraid to write something nice because next time we go, there may not be a seat left. But seriously, this is such a great hidden gem and right here in Old River Winfree. Cozy adirondeck chairs with fire pits at each table. All under a beautiful oak tree. If you love wine, they have a plethora to choose from. They also have a nice variety of beer but most people were drinking wine. Buy it by the glass or bottle after free taste test, of course. I'm thinking we found some new friends and a casual place to relax. Music was played at a decent level, that my wife and I could still talk without yelling. They even had a young, up and coming music artist singing her debut, live. Her name is Claire McNair. She was so good, I immediately bought her CD. Be sure and stop by. Please leave me a seat.

It is definitely a new hangout! The ladies who work there are so friendly and helpful. I love the cozy atmosphere there. The charcuterie board is YUM!
