Saltwood is one of my go to lunch spots! The salad bar is top-tier and you can’t go wrong with making your own custom salad. They have high-quality selections for your base as well as toppings. you also have your choice of protein between beef, chicken, and shrimp. They are very cautious about cross contamination if you were to have allergies and all of the proteins are well seasoned. If you’re in the area, definitely check out the salad bar lunch. It’s a deal that can’t be beat.

Saltwood Charcuterie & Bar is located inside the Loews hotel, and my experience there was a bit mixed. For dinner, the dining section is closed off, and it relocates to the bar area near the hotel lobby, which can be a bit confusing at first. However, once you find available seating, a server will come to assist you. The burger I had for dinner was well-cooked and quite delicious, though the overall dinner experience felt average. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet was fantastic. There were so many options, including a made-to-order omelette bar, and everything was well-prepared. I really enjoyed breakfast much more than dinner, and the staff was notably more attentive during breakfast service as well.

Google
I love their salad buffet during the week. My salad was soo delicious. I really love the fact that there is complimentary parking for the first 2 hours with validation. The staff is soo nice. All the ingredients are very fresh and rich. I was very impressed that the salad was truly endless and the drinks kept coming… all for $22 which is a still. The price was a killer. I will definitely be back soon. Btw they do not weight the salad and you can choose from 3 different proteins: shrimp, beef and chicken.

Google
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is upscale and gorgeous. You get UNLIMITED salad for $20 with super fresh ingredients and tons of options to switch things up. They offer steak, shrimp, and chicken for protein, and everything was delicious. The drinks were great too! Friendly and helpful service made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back!

Considering the fact that it's in central Atlanta, everything was great especially for the price. Stephanie on the phone was informative and kind. Entire experience was wonderful. In room dining option was good as well.

Google
Mostly great! Hubby and I came for both breakfast and then dinner at the bar. Breakfast was the strata and the parfait that were both quite nice. There is a breakfast caveat at the bottom to avoid at all costs! Dinner at the bar was good! Casual and better than standard bar fare. Hubby had the Margherita pizza and I had a new pimento cheese sandwich. The stand outs were the bread in both. Often that us an afterthought but not here. Amazing! I added tomato to the pimento cheese sandwich which was needed as it is rich. Tip: if you like your fries with some color, ask ahead for them to be crispier. Item to AVOID AT ALL COSTS: The grits at breakfast should not be legal in the state of Georgia. Watery, no fat or seasoning. Wimpy to be honest. Really, just take em off of the menu as they aren't doing this establishment any good. On an up note: shockingly the smoked gouda grits at night were PROPER. Stone ground, fatty, cheesy. Perfection. I am confused: same kitchen and two different grits? Please serve the p.m. grits in the a.m.

Located inside Loews Atlanta, this hotel restaurant offers a great all you can eat brunch with omelet and carving stations. It has a great charcuterie array of meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, and vegetables. The staff are very friendly. Very good food and once designed and managed by Chef Olivier Gaupin.

Google
Dined at Saltwood twice over Thanksgiving. The bartender was properly versed, resulting in well made cocktails. Lots of hits: the Korean wings, the summer salad, and the Monte Cristo. As well as some misses: the crab cake with Cajun hollandaise and the deviled eggs. Views of midtown were beautiful. Would definitely consider visiting again.

Yelp
This review is for the salad bar only: 5 different kinds of mixed greens, dried fruits and nuts. Big variety of dressings, bread etc. Many of the items were unique and interesting. The chef toss your salad with your choice of protein which was large chunk of steak, chicken right in front of you. Chocolate chip cookies were also delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, calm and stylish. This quality for under $20 is great value for money and very satisfying. I will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Amazing!!!! I stayed at the Loews Atlanta for my birthday. As an American Express platinum member I was given a food credit. I chose in-room dining. Tbh I have NEVER had dining in a hotel as delicious as this. I've stayed in the Waldorf & the fairmont hotels too. I chose the steak & frites, rose wine glass & a margarita pizza. Everything was mouth watering & amazing! I will definitely be back for my next celebration!

Yelp
While a bit pricy (to be expected, it's in a Lowe's hotel) it's an incredible experience. Their service is amazing, especially at the bar from the bartenders. We celebrated my birthday here and they made it super special!

Yelp
Saltwood is located inside the Lowes' Hotel. If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can easily miss the hotel entrance. The hotel sign is not easy to spot and Saltwood does not have a restaurant sign either. The hotel entrance is to the left side of Cafe Intermezzo, which sits on the corner of Peachtree Street NE and 11th Street. I believe there's a more prominent entrance if you're entering via 11th Street. Parking: No free parking that I know of... I walked here from work. Food: I came here for the salad bar which was GREAT. For a fixed price of $13.50, you can create your own salad! I came in extra hungry and forgot to take photos of the salad bar *facepalm* So from off the top of my head, here are some of the selections: Salad Base: Romaine, Spinach, and Cesar Toppings: Jalapenos, onions, bell peppers, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, cheddar cheese, corn, carrots, mushrooms, quinoa, sprouts, boiled eggs, various nuts, and dry fruits. Sauces/Dressing: 6 different dressings and various types of vinegar across the top of the salad bar (easy to miss if you don't look up) Sides: Cornbread and banana pudding. Cornbread was kind of dry for me, but not bad. Meats: Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp! You can ask for any combination too! The shrimp was very tasty. The steak varies - some slices were cooked well done, others were medium. Service: Good. The lady that mixed our salad was great! Otherwise, we didn't interact much with anyone else. If you're looking for a quick lunch spot, Saltwood is a great place to go!

Yelp
Day 1, the hostess abandoned a line of 7 people. A seperate hostess returned to advise patrons waiting it would take 35-40 for our food. Why you ask...no clue. It was a terrible way to start the morning breakfast experience. Day 2 was much better. Pleasant, prompt service along with an enjoyable breakfast. Saltwood is located inside Loews Hotel, offers a full restaurant as well as bar area dining experience. For breakfast: Gluten free English muffin, fresh fruit, coffee, healthy cold pressed juice, sliced avocado. All a la carte per my request & I appreciated that. At the bar the service was stellar. Peter does an awesome job remembering guests, drinks and working the room efficiently if not for him this rating would definitely be a sokid 3. I tried fried avocado for the first time...interesting combination; decent but didn't knock my socks off. The side salad was satisfying. In-room dining offered a tomato soup that was pretty good. Signature cocktails & champagne did not disappoint. Oh, the bar nuts are roasted in-house upon requests; nice touch. ~Christy

Yelp
On yesterday, I had an opportunity to dine with some coworkers and my boss for Admin Professional Day. Saltwood is located inside the Loews Hotel in Midtown Atlanta. Upon arrival, we were able to valet park at no additional charge. The restaurant is located in the rear of the hotel. There were about 20 of us. It was amazing to see how the staff and the managers there were able to accommodate us. Saltwood is famous for their Upscale salad bar. Any and everything you could imagine was on the bar and because I eat SALAD with My Dressing, LOL. Every piece of the salad was amazing and I had plenty leftovers for today. So how it works, you head over to the bar and get a huge bowl and add whatever toppings you want and when you reach the midpoint or close to the end of the line, there was bread pudding and cornbread! Both the BOMB! They had a huge variety of oils, seasonings, dressings, toppings. It was endless. So the highlight for me was the oils. I mixed the garlic oil and blue cheese dressing and could have slapped somebody after ALL that GOODNESS! At the END of the line were the PROTEIN options. Chicken, Steak and/or Shrimp to add to your salad as the staff retrieves your bowl and toss it for you. I opted for the chicken and shrimp tossed inside with my salad and asked for a few pieces of steak on the side. I will most definitely be back. Thanks to the AMAZING STAFF AND Hats off to this amazing concept. Picture to follow. SYOY! onelove

Yelp
Like many others, I just ate here because we were in the hotel and I didn't feel like going out by myself while my wife was in a meeting. The waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. The food (standard American breakfast) was just ok. The eggs were good, not terrific like some other hotel restaurants, and the chicken sausage tasted funny. I was concerned that the sausage might have been bad, but it was probably the flavor because no stomach problems so far. (Updating this review: it's been a few hours since breakfast and their sausage has caused light to moderate food poisoning so far.) The decaf coffee seemed like they did a pour over or some sort of instant brew. Consequently, avoid the chicken sausage and either get the regular brewed coffee or don't drink coffee here. Like most hotel restaurants it was way overpriced for what u get, but half the cost of getting the same thing via room service and good for saving a trip out. It is not worth the food poisoning to get the convenience and service. There are better and more economical places to eat near by, but service is hit and miss in the area and so is food quality--so check Yelp and make sure to compare recent and older reviews to see if quality dropped. Cheers!!

Yelp
Came here because we stayed in the hotel and didn't feel like going out to eat. Excellent service and food was good. We got the American burger, French onion soup and the chicken piccata. Chicken was a little dry, but other than that good flavors.

Yelp
We came for Sunday brunch. They offer the same brunch on Saturday as well. The brunch is $30 & is overpriced for what they offer IMO. I've eaten at various high end and moderate brunch places around Atlanta, and the country, and the selection here is not close for the offerings and the cost. The tapas items sat under a light and were not the freshest by the time we got there around 12:30. The tapas items were the only lunch items that I recall. The made to order omelette was good. The desserts are basically continental breakfast baked goods.i wasn't impressed at all. The server was friendly. They don't validate parking for the deck. They only validate for the valet parking. We paid $12 for parking in the deck. ‍

Yelp
Outstanding Southern Caesar Salad with bacon, chicken, egg, and several other goodies. Finished off with the house special Earl Grey Old Fashioned, which was probably the smoothest I've ever had and is topped with a sprig of charred rosemary. Great touch!

Yelp
This place has a lot of mixed reviews, I think it is a great choice for a filling and healthy lunch. I only tried the salad bar, and I was very satisfied with both steak and shrimp. Veggies were very fresh, a wide choice of dressings, olive oil, fruits.. This place can beat up many choices around the area. It is usually very crowded weekdays during noon, hard to find a table. If you're there for salad bar, better to come early-ish. The only drawback is that salad bar is only open 12-2pm. They close it around 1:40ish.

Yelp
Located in the Loews hotel in Midtown, this bar is amazing! The service is top notch and the lobby bar is amazing! They have a great selection of bourbon and whiskey to choose from. Also have a lot of local beers from Atlanta as well. I was at the hotel for a couple of days and enjoyed every free minute in the lobby bar. Definitely worth checking out, if you are in the area!

Yelp
Usually when I lunch at Leow's, I go for the salad bar, but I finally got to try out Saltwood's burger bar experience that all my coworkers always talk about. Essentially, they have room for 8 at a long wooden table in the back kitchen where you sit facing the cooks as they prepare your meal. You order a burger (or shrimp po'boy) of your choice along with a dessert. I came on a Wednesday during lunch with 4 other coworkers. Just a note: this in-kitchen dining experience is ending in a month, so be sure to check it out before then if it interests you! I got the Saltwood burger with goat cheese and mushrooms and it was delicious. The French was also a hit, as was the shrimp sandwich and the Southern. It comes with your choice of regular or sweet potato fries, which are just standard. For dessert, I opted for the Bananas Foster-type dish which was unreal -- it comes atop 2 mini Belgian waffles sandwiching a scoop of vanilla ice cream and heavily drizzled with caramelly bananay chocolatey goodness (and of course, bananas). Super sweet and rich, but I couldn't stop eating it. The ooey gooey cake was also a huge hit, but a little too much for me. The in-kitchen experience was a little weird -- you're just in the kitchen which isn't particularly glamorous watching someone put burgers on a grill and prepare other food while the dishwashers work behind you. I guess you do kind of feel like VIP when you're back there though. I'm glad they serve the burgers outside in the main bar area as well so I won't miss out once they stop offering this experience!

Yelp
This little gem is located inside the Loews Hotel. You must enter through the lobby. We came here for brunch on Sunday. We made reservations and it wasn't needed. It was a dead. We sat inside but they do have a patio which would be nice to sit on. They have bottomless mimosas for $15. Worth it so get it!!! There cinnamon buns were amazing. It's like dessert before breakfast. I order the build your own Benedict with corn bread and crab cakes and they were delicious!! I think I would try it with a regular muffin next time but it was quite good. The only negative which I won't take away from is the food took a bit to come out. We were table a six so that's why it took a while but it was worth it because the mimosas kept coming. I'd come back for more.

Yelp
I came to Saltwood a little before the lunch rush to grab a salad from their self-serve bar. I could not (and still cannot) get over the value of this salad. $12 flat for salad + dessert, with no restrictions on weight?? Absolutely wild. Logistics: When you get to the restaurant, head straight past the hostess stand, take a left, and you'll find the salad bar in the back room. Grab a metal bowl, and start filling it up with lettuce, toppings, and dressings. You'll then swing by a station with proteins, where you can choose your protein and the salad will be mixed and put into a to-go container. From there, head back to the hostess stand you walked past earlier and pay for your meal. Options: I wish I had remembered to take pictures, because the better question really is what didn't they had. I filled my base with a mix of arugula/spinach/romaine, and then started loading the toppings on. I went with olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and croutons, but the options were almost endless. There were different types of cheese, grains (like quinoa), and even salts to add to your salad. I topped my salad with green goddess dressing, and then added a mix of shrimp and steak to round it off. Pro-tip: Ask the person who mixes your salad for a to-go box, and snag some dessert for later. They had bread pudding when I was there, but I heard they also sometimes have cookies. For the amount of food I got and what I paid, I would definitely make Saltwood a go-to lunch spot if I lived in Atlanta.

Yelp
Went to Saltwood on a whim since I have been hanging out nearby for a couple years now. The restaurant was not very busy, but it was a week night so I'm not too surprised. There was nothing special about the decor, but everything was clean and nicely put together so that was good. Food: The Saltwood Board was pleasing with a delicious assortment of cured meats and cheeses. The Blue Crab Fritters were disappointing as they had way too much batter and not enough crab meat to match. The star of the night was the Seed Crusted Salmon. I swear this was the most perfectly cooked salmon in Atlanta and the sesame seed crust added a somewhat umami flavor that I was not expecting, but was a delicious addition. For dessert I had the pound cake which was too dense and a bit dry, although the presentation was good. Drinks: The Classic G&T was quite refreshing due to the cucumber, berries, and rose petals. I also ordered an off menu Old Fashioned which was well-balanced. Service was good overall, and I enjoyed the majority of the food/drinks so I'll be back to try some other menu items.

Yelp
They allow you to eat outside by the bar in the lobby with full service menu. It's a nice place to go and people watch. We ordered Charcuterie for two. It was ok, but for some reason I expected more. (The main reason we came here was for charcuterie) The bread was thick and too hard. The meat looked like we got the last bit for the night. For dinner, the duck confit was on point. Delicious and savory. I must say that bartender was undeniably great. I forget his name I'm sorry. Blonde gentlemen. Makes a mean mocktail! Who knew cranberry, pineapple, ginger beer, and peach syrup could make you wish you were on in island. I love hotel bar/restaurants because they make it seem like your not in your city anymore.

Yelp
Location- in Midtown, in the nice Loews Hotel. 4 stars Parking- saw a public parking lot, and paid $8 since parking for restaurant-only was not apparent. 2 stars Service- did not get good seating but were easily moved to a more comfortable bench. Waiter asked what drinks we wanted but didn't give a menu until prompted. Waiter tried to take away my food before I could finish 70% of it. Waiter asked if we wanted check before we were done with food and even ready. It was awkward. Oh, and we got the wrong tea. Sunday brunch is rough, man. 1.5 stars Decor- lovely decorations, seating. 4 stars Food- smoked trout and potato hash. I love me some potatoes but this concoction was ok. Salad was fresh and had a light dressing. It came with fruits. Grits was bland. 2.5 stars. Interesting experience. Would not need to try again.

Yelp
Business casual bar located inside the Loews Atlanta Hotel. The have about a dozen taps on draft including macros, crafts, and local options. They have wide selection of whiskeys including scotches, bourbons, and eyes. I had glasses of Angel's Envy, Breckinridge, and Michter's. The bartenders were friendly and attentive.

Yelp
This place has some bomb breakfast. I stayed at Loews for the Masters and came here every morning and it was a major highlight of each day. I ordered the Southern Classic and the Fit Benedict and loved both. 4/5 because the service was slow at times.

Yelp
We ate here a couple of times because we were staying in the Loew's hotel this restaurant is in. It's a pretty typical hotel restaurant - decent food, but overpriced for what it is. I had the Belgian waffle at breakfast and really liked it, but it was $11 and it wasn't very filling. We also found the service kind of inattentive. Menu descriptions aren't very accurate either. My husband's meal was supposed to come with a homemade biscuit and they served him an obviously store-bought English muffin. When he asked about it, they claimed it was a homemade biscuit, even though it was obviously neither homemade nor a biscuit. My dish was supposed to come with "assorted berries" but all I got was a single strawberry cut in two pieces. Cutting one berry in half doesn't turn it into "berries" plural, Saltwood!

Yelp
I have forever loved the lunch salad bar when this place was Bar Eleven so imagine my disappointment when Bar Eleven closed for renovation, then the sadness that one of my favorite midtown lunch spots was gone forever, and then my ecstatic excitement again when Saltwood comes back with a very similar salad bar! What more can I say? Service here is great, the ingredients are the freshest, classiest ingredients of any salad bar I've been to, and the protein that tops your salad, whether it be beef, chicken, or shrimp, is tasty as well! I love, love, love their dressings that are made in-house. My favorite thing to do is to grab an extra side of their green goddess dressing to dip my chips in--homemade, fresh chips that are complimentary at your table! This place is probably one of the best kept secrets for a midtown lunch and for a $12.50 salad bar that includes bread and dessert, it can't be beat!

Yelp
We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. There was almost no one there when we arrived and just as few when we left. One would have thought that with so few patrons the service would have been great. No! We started off with the Charcuterie board but had hardly started it before the French onion soup arrived. In order to keep it warm we covered the soup with the bread plate. That should never have happened. Then to compound the issue my tagliatelle and my wife's mussels arrived almost immediately after that. I am not sure who should have done the scheduling for the food delivery but to have everything arrive so quickly was crazy. The table was so crowded and the food was getting cold!!! The soup would have been so much better had it been hot. I did enjoy the flavor. We did not have a chance to enjoy the cheese board as we were rushing. In the end my wife only ate a few mussels as it was not hot. The tagliatelle also was not hot. The waitress seemed oblivious to it all as we had asked her to not bring anything else until we had finished the cheese and meat board and the soup. Won't be back.

Yelp
Saltwood is truly one of my favorite concepts in Atlanta. I love that there is such a variety of offerings that they have for their patrons with the salad bar, burger bar, charcuterie, and dinner. I almost feel hesitant to write such a positive review because I feel like Saltwood it is not currently as well known as some other Midtown offerings. Most will pass this restaurant off as one of those overpriced hotel-lobby restaurants, but oh boy are they wrong. The salad bar deserves a review of its own, as it's an amazing work-day lunch option if you're in the midtown area. I rebuke all other salad bars - Saltwood has the real deal figured out here. However, I had a recent experience here, at the burger bar specifically, that was so special and absolutely delicious that I must share! The burger bar is an intimate experience with a 10-seat table in the kitchen where you will be greeted by the nicest chefs and servers imaginable. I was blown away with how attentive and friendly our service was... I wondered if I had somehow morphed into the queen of England just by walking through the doors. Onto the food! First, you get an appetizer of 3 different kettle chips (jerk, bbq, and salt and vinegar). You can snack on those while you peruse the burger offerings - I went with the French (where else am I going to get foie gras and truffle cream on a burger....) My mind was blown. It was a religious experience. I left it all out on that table with that burger. It's one of those burgers that you really have to commit to, as you might be elbow deep in some of the most delicous burger combinations that you've ever tried (i.e. it may be a little greasy and messy from the fried egg). I ordered sweet potato fries as well, however as I was essentially having an out of body experience with the burger, I didn't eat very many and was attempting (and failing) to avoid my post-lunch slump after my heavy but delicious burger. Just when I thought that I might get away with it, I remembered the dessert course - which you decide upon at the same time that you order your burger because each one is made to order. If I wasn't already in heaven, my body fully ascended when I took my first bite of the ooey gooey. This dessert is a perfectly moist cake, topped with coffee ice cream, topped with caramel sauce, topped with candied bacon. I mean. Perfection is this dessert. Needless to say, this experience is the best thing that you can do with $14, and I will be back to try all the items on the menu.

Yelp
Saltwood Charcuterie & Bar is located in Midtown, ATL and is easily overlooked as it's on the ground floor of the Lowe's Hotel in Midtown. It's surrounded by so many other dining options but this spot is quite nice. It's within walking distance and even more convenient if you're staying in the hotel. While I only came once for their dinner service, I had a great experience. It was empty, so the food and service came pretty quickly. The quality of the food, drinks and price point for their offerings were on par with what you'd expect for a hotel restaurant. While the food at most hotel restaurants is typically not the best, you honestly would have thought this was a stand alone. Great food, beautiful detail to their plating and they were very accommodating for gluten-free and other dietary restrictions. They have a solid menu to suit anyone's needs or cravings for the night. I'd definitely recommend eating here whether you're staying at the hotel or not.

Yelp
I absolutely love the salad bar. The variety of toppings is endless and for the price it is a great lunch option. I frequent this restaurant at least 4-5 times a month. Ask for Keisha or Julius! And the parking valet manager, Jackson is the best! Parking is FREE (validated) if you are visiting the restaurant ONLY. The restaurant is known for the SALAD! They do offer a menu that is a "burger bar". Primarily burgers, but there were 1 or 2 fish and chicken sandwich options. I love their fresh cut fries (regular and sweet potatoe). Overall great experience! Perfect lunch spot!

Yelp
Came here for a business trip and needed a quick bite. I didn't feel like going out, so I figured I'd try the hotel bar. What a delight! I had the lobster corndog and the pork belly skewers. The corndog was cooked to a crispy perfection and had tartar sauce on the side. The skewer was simply amazing! The glaze they put on it makes you want to order some to take home. The meat wasn't too fatty, as most pork belly is. I'd definitely recommend both apps! Also, the service Eric provided was friendly and personable. This is a great place to relax and converse over a good drink and great apps.

Yelp
Stopped in Friday evening @Saltwood for a cocktail and snack. Very nicely executed. Super comfortable lounge inside the Lowes, quite spacious. Shrimp Ceviche with Corn Milk: The meal was good, the portion was very sure to remind us we were paying for food in a hotel bar. The cocktail was AMAZING and sadly I do not recall the name, but it was cucumbery. Will re-order and review update Also, if you check out the planter in the hotel lobby, you will notice they grew Wheat Germ ...yes! So, thought it was plastic and pulled a strand only to realize it was a live plant. So, I ate it!

This was a good final meal in Atlanta. Wanted to try the Skillet Bread Pudding French Toast but the place is a bit pricey. Went with the Five Little Points instead, more for the money. Well worth it too. The Biscuit and Bacon were cooked ESPECIALLY well. It was so good and I was so hungry I only stopped to take the pic halfway through it.

Yelp
This review is for the bar area only. After dinner at a nearby restaurant we decided to visit the bar here because it was a Monday night we thought it would be not crowded and chill. We walked into a crazy amount of people at the bar - a bunch of people in town for an event staying at the hotel also decided to visit the bar! Despite the crowd, service was definitely not lacking. Julien (bartender) was very attentive and pleasant. At one point a glass was knocked off the bar and broke and Julien was immediately there to mop and clean up so nobody would get hurt. So while he was already serving a loud crowd he had to take a break to clean but he did so with a smile and was right back behind the bar afterwards. There was another bartender but Julien was serving us the entire evening. Both bartenders were hustling and the crowd was happy. The interiors of this hotel are elegant and simple and the hotel is very welcoming.

Yelp
This is inside Loew's Hotel. Had pork belly (2x) and octopus as a snack. Pork belly was pretty good. Octopus was ok. The pineapple and sprite drink was free since there's no alcohol.

Yelp
Great atmosphere but grossly overpriced. Went for Brunch on Sunday and the food was barely warm. The ambience was great. Two stars only due to the kitchen staff cutting up romaine freshly for us. Truly disappointed after weeks of waiting to dine here.

Yelp
I was here for a conference and could t fathom eating a bad sandwich so I ate at the salad bar and this is one of the best salad bars ever! Lots of different vinegars and oils ( turmeric oil and unusual vinegars for example) and the types of salads and toppings were unbelievable for $13.50! They have wheat berry, quinoa, shrimp and chicken and they they take the salad and mix it up for you on a big plate ! Definitely Will return

Yelp
We liked our meal here. It was a fixed menu due to the holiday, I couldn't have the soup because of an allergy so they whipped up a mushroom soup that was fabulous. The entire table had some and raved about it. I thought the Brussels sprouts salad had a little too much vinegar but my daughter liked it. We all had the smoked prime rib for our main course. We've never had prime rib smoked. We all enjoyed it but agreed it is not our favorite way to have prime rib prepared. The scalloped potatoes and asparagus were good. I couldn't have the cake for dessert but my family enjoyed it. It came with blood orange sorbet that I loved.

Yelp
We stayed at the Loews Hotel which is where this bar/Restaurant is located. I will say it was pretty packed and there was only one waitress but she was very humble and tentative as much as she could be under the circumstances. We ordered the "Crispy Fried Avocados" w/mole-cream dipping sauce. They were absolutely amazing! The dipping sauce is what brought all the flavors together into one delicious bite. I ordered the "Signature Saltwood Burger": eight ounce pattie (short rib/brisket blend) on a brioche bun w/sautéed mushrooms, goat cheese and a sunny side up egg on top. I ordered the burger medium-well but it was more like on the over cooked side so I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I would have liked to. I plan on going again and trying something else on there menu that they offer.

Yelp
Three stars. If prices were a bit lower and menu a bit more diverse it would be four. Service, ambiance, and food quality are all there!! I've been to Saltwood several times now - for dinner and then once for Sunday brunch - and liked it both times. This review is just for brunch, as I went to dinner some time ago and it seems the menu has changed since. Anyway, I went to brunch with three girlfriends on Sunday morning around noon. Saltwood is at the Loew's Hotel in Midtown, located in the lobby but tucked into an intimate corner behind the bar. At 11:45, the restaurant was quiet, but by 12:30 I don't think there was an empty table. It's well-decorated in a trendy industrial / farmhouse style (if that's a thing?). There are separate rooms as well as a small patio. Service is efficient and quick but not obtrusive. I believe the brunch menu is being updated, as we were given a look at five dishes and not the whole menu. We tried them all, though, and nothing was lacking. Of the current menu items, we tried the French Toast, the Shrimp & Grits, and the Spinach Salad. Off menu, we also had a bread pudding and a hash. Sunday's variety of French Toast was topped with fresh GA peaches. I don't each much in the way of sweets for breakfast but it was perfectly battered and cooked with a faint touch of cinnamon-sugar. The bread was pretty thin, but that just meant you didn't wind up with a soggy center of thick-cut bread once it was topped with syrup. The Shrimp & Grits was by far the highlight of the meal. I really hope this item stays on the menu. The grits were rich and creamy and not too thick. The Creole-style sauce was filled with julienned red peppers and onions, crumbled Andouille sausage, and a generous portion of enormous fresh shrimp (peeled - and without tails!). We literally scraped the bottom of the bowl for the last bites. The spinach salad was simple, almost too much so. Literally just what the menu suggests, this dish is simply fresh spinach with white quinoa, minced black olives, and a lemon vinaigrette. Ours also came with shaved Parmesan cheese. Everyone thought that it needed a bit more tart flavor. Maybe we got more of the oil in the vinaigrette than the lemon juice? Either way, it was nice as a delicate side but nothing too exciting. The bread pudding we had is not on the current menu. As I mentioned, I'm not a big sweets person in the morning - but I could probably eat the entire industrial-size pan they make this in. It's served in a small cast-iron dish slightly warm and topped with fresh whipped cream, which had started to melt into the pudding by the time I tried it. YUM. We were also served a breakfast hash of roasted diced potatoes and grilled peppers and onions. This came topped with four perfectly soft-poached eggs. They were so delicate that only two of the eggs survived the spoonride to our plates. Overall - definitely recommended for brunch in Midtown, particularly if you don't mind spending a bit more, or just don't want to wait for a patio table at Einstein's or Joe's.

Yelp
Saltwood is located on the ground floor of the Loew's Hotel in Midtown. With so many dining options around the midtown neighborhood, I like to walk around and try out all of the great restaurants. I've been to Saltwood three times now, twice for the lunch salad bar, and once for brunch. The salad bar here is the real deal, at $13.50 per person/plate, you get the freshest salad ingredients at your disposal! Because of my positive salad bar experience, I decided to give the brunch menu a go. Unfortunately, the brunch here at Saltwood was the most forgettable brunches in Midtown. We had the Eggs Benedict and Cachapas. While the cachapas were good, the pulled pork was a bit dry. The hollandaise sauce for the Eggs Benedict however was salty beyond belief. It had to be sent back but it came with the same salty sauce on the side, rather trying to fix what the actual problem was (the hollandaise). Our server LaKesha provided good service which made up for the mediocre brunch experience.

Yelp
I went to Saltwood on a recommendation from a friend who seemed to love it. I left with mixed feelings about this place. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly hostess. The server was also super nice and friendly. We started with a meat and cheese plate and some drinks. The charcuterie and cheese plate was absolutely fantastic. We got the spec, salami, Diablo (aged goat with chipotle spices) and Green Hill (creamy cow milk cheese made Camembert style). We also ordered 2 cocktails that we really enjoyed. The 75 South (gin cocktail with a round lavender & mint ice in it) and the Kentucky Old Fashioned (peach moonshine, served in large mason jar). Both were great (the 75 South the much better of the two) It was after the first course that things just went down hill for us. I ordered the Grassfed Ribeye medium rare, which came as a small plate on some roasted corn. I was at first surprised at the small portion of the meal, but if it tasted like heaven I wouldn't have cared. The problem I had was that when I cut into it, it was cooked pretty much well done. The server apologized and took my plate to get another one made for me medium rare. The second plate took over 20 minutes to arrive. My dining companion by this point had already finished his meal and cocktail. When I finally received the second steak and cut into it, it was cooked to medium well. At this point I gave up and just ate it. The server was aware of it being over cooked for a second time and apologized (and offered to get the manager, which I declined). All in all, the food tasted good, but the experience left me not wanting to return here for dinner. We decided that if we were in the neighborhood we would maybe pop in to get a meat and cheese board and some drinks, but that's about it.

Yelp
4.5/5 My friend and I came here for Midtown Restaurant Week for their $25 menu WHICH WAS NOT FIXED!!! We had the option of ordering an appetizer which could be picked from their "something to start," small/medium cheese board selection, charcuterie selection, or "blood, guts, and glory". The entree could be selected from their "carne," "from the sea," or "healthy" selections. This covers the entire menu.....which is so amazing. Parking wise, there are apparently 2 decks, 1 that they validate for and 1 that they do not. Sadly, we parked in the deck that they don't validate for (it spits out a little white ticket instead of a pink one like the other deck) AND IT WAS $14 FOR 2 HRS *cries* Service was wonderful! Appetizers: + Chilled tuna tartar ($10) - Comes with crackers and looks pretty tiny BUT IT'S SO TASTY!!! + Medium 4 cheese board ($12) - We chose to try the dancing fern, nickajack, green hill, and thomasville tomme. To be honest, I couldn't keep track of which cheese I was eating, but they were all good! 2 of them I really liked, 1 was fine, and 1 I thought was okay and didn't eat much of. They give you a pretty large portion of each cheese and it comes with walnut raisin bread, a blueberry jam, and honey. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Entree: Beware, the portions are tiny and the price is pretty hefty. + Red snapper ($14) - Fish comes out crispy on a bed of delicious veggies. Very tasty! + Tagliatelle ($18) - My friend got this. It was a sort of pasta? I tried it and thought it was okay, maybe a little salty for my preferences. Dessert: + Strawberry shortcake - Pretty good, though it comes with a peppercorn ice cream? It didn't taste super strange or anything, but not really my cup of tea. + Bread pudding - Pretty good and comes out in a warm ceramic cup, topped with ice cream. Overall, I had a really great experience here. However, I think this place is a bit expensive and that I thoroughly enjoyed myself mostly because of the restaurant week deal. I'd definitely come back for the cheese board on a normal non-restaurant week night, but probably not for the expensive entrees.

Yelp
Im so disappointed to come to the Lowe's and dine in there restaurant and leave the way we did. We made reswrvations and got sat rIght away, they sat us infront of a big party and I had a baby. We came for brunch and I was so excited as the menu for brunch looked very good. The buffet was so disappointing, 80% of the things were cold, there were scraps of bread pudding and I saw a cook checking on the buffet and let them know there wasn't bread pudding and she point how there was a bit left. The only thing that was good was the omelette station the lady was very nice. Our server was okay. I'm in the industry and I have been to the Lowe's in Miami and I would never step foot in this restaurant again. The chef and manatees should be disappointed in there team and embarrassed with the type of food they had out. I would not recommend this to anyone!

Yelp
I got the salad bar ( to go) for lunch. Very large salad and lots of options for toppings. Everything was very fresh and the staff kept the bar well stocked. I love that you get the option to add steak, chicken, and/or shrimp and they will mix the salad for you. When I went, around 12p on a Thursday, there was a very long line and was moving pretty slowly, which was my only complaint.

Yelp
The ambience is nice here for an after work more formal happy hour. The location is great for an after work appetizer or drink. The beer selection is good with many local favs but definitely not extensive. I had the cheese and meat board and that was a good mix to share. Overall I was fine with the ambience and meal. The meal didn't blow me away though considering the price point. The service is fine but nothing spectacular here either. Come here for a great after work place for drinks and appetizers. Not worth staying for dinner because the food and price point do not match Pros: Location, location Ambience is upscale or trendy Local drink selection is nice Cons: Food doesn't meet the price point but maybe you're paying for the location and ambience...

Yelp
While the salads themselves taste great (a favorite business lunch spot), I was super put-off by my last visit. I was under the impression that when you build your salad and plan on eating in, they would fit all they could on a plate and box up the remaining amount. Not the case. Instead, whatever doesn't fit on your plate the chef just throws away, right in front of you. Really? You could just throw the remainder in a to-go box, but instead you trash it? It felt a bit bougie to me. Also, the salad is the same price whether or not you get meat. I'm not sure that was always the case, but that seems a bit odd. Consider not wasting the extra food- you already make a killing.

Yelp
I dined here while in Atlanta for a trade show and I was completely delighted with the friendly and efficient staff (esp Shauna). I had the salmon and the charcuterie. The atmosphere is nicely dim. I will miss the Paradise cocktail as well as the caring staff. Thank you folks for making me feel comfortable away from home.!

Yelp
Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant for brunch during my recent stay at the hotel. Immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. My server immediately followed to explain the menu options. They have pretty nice buffet however I decided against. Ordered the omelette which was loaded with cheese, peppers, onions and bacon. The entree came with really delicious and well seasoned potatoes and mini bagel (or I was told by my server it is normally a biscuit). Coffee was good, and service was excellent. I was offer to take a coffee to go as well. I look forward to trying this place again.

Yelp
I returned to the hotel - see separate review(s) for hotel - and, since hotel was booked through Amex's Fine Hotel and Resort program, I found myself having dinner. The FHR program includes a dining credit for the hotel restaurant. Let's take a look at the differences from my previous review: 1) avoided Brussels sprouts and decided on the avocado toast. The hardened slice of bread was topped with fresh crispy and flavorful veggies and a thin spread of avocado citrus. Thin - zero taste of avocado - only tasted the citrus and veggies. A name change might be in order. 2) wanted to try the fried chicken (totally out of it at 530 on a Saturday dinner service). 3) next choice was special with today's fresh fish - out of that as well. Keep in mind that the menu is not one of many options..... 4) at this point, I ask the server what the kitchen might have available for me to order.....pork osso bucco was the answer. Ok. Pork was tender, lacked depth of flavor, and the local (lady peas) peas that were highly touted were interesting but sadly undercooked. 5) ordered a side of puréed potatoes to join the pork dish. They arrived in a cute cast iron serving dish - cold. At my request, another order was prepared (?) and brought to the table. Tasty, but lukewarm. A couple of positives: 1) service is friendly and prompt. 2) wine list has a number of decent wines by the glass Service - bar staff I give five stars. Decor - four stars Food/chef - one star. My experience: started with the burrata, it was good. They have fried chicken on the menu - sounded great. I attempted to order dark meet only (no white meat) and was told (indirectly from the head chef) that they pre portion the chicken, so "no go". I then decided on the duck terrine. It arrived with a thimble of mustard, cold toast, and missing the pickled veggies. Mediocre at best - they did bring the veggies after I ask. Opted for a side of caramelized Brussels sprouts and ask that they be roasted a bit longer - they arrived as deep fried "crispy critters" - no evidence of (as advertised) caramelized goodness and too burnt to eat. I would not recommend Saltwood, and would say that I would not return - but, I am a guest in the hotel so I will probably be forced to dine here again tomorrow for my Christmas Eve dinner --- yikes!!

Yelp
The decor is killer ! Loews is very cool but the food and service here very sadly is not good Stick with charcuterie and a cocktail and maybe your ok, but two things I ordered they ran out of and finally with a very limited menu my husband and I were both not happy with out dinners .

Yelp
Came for Mother's Day brunch. The food was great (we got the Benedict and the tacos), but like the other reviews said, our service was awful. We sat outside and the waitress barely came to check on us...even when waters and coffees were empty! They also don't validate parking for the deck, so there was another $8 down the drain. The salad bar is great, but that's about it!

Yelp
Decor =4 Stars Service = 1 star Food=2 stars Read the reviews before I booked the reservation and I thought I would try Saltwood for brunch. Brunch was HORRIBLE. Food was warm not hot... server didn't know his head from his toe. Took 15 mins to get drinks (restaurant was not busy) stay away!

Yelp
Not impressed. The staff took a while to get our order to us. Then when it finally arrived the eggs were cooked wrong for my friend. I was lead to believe that the bacon was included in my meal, but then received the bill for an extra 6 dollars for 3 pieces of bacon. Then processing our cards took another 20-30 min at least.
