Salty's on Alki Beach

A beautiful summer day with perfect weather and a short enjoyable peek of the blue angels flying around. Our server Chris was fun to visit with and his service was excellent. Food was delicious as always. We had the trio that included a crab cake, coconut prawns and calamari. Each was made to perfection. The atmosphere…well the views are unmatched. You cannot get a bigger view of the Seattle downtown waterfront skyline.

Went on a Thursday evening with friends and we had a very good experience. The service was great, friendly, and professional, always checking in if we needed anything. The food was really good although the chicken was a little bit dry and I forgot to ask for no cilantro. My fault. The atmosphere is really very special, given that they have one of the best views of downtown Seattle that you can ask for or find. The vibe of the people eating there was happy and vibrant. The desserts were really good and of family size! I would recommend this place for anyone trying to find either a romantic place or somewhere where you can go with a group of friends to have fun

Terrific views of the seattle skyline and super nice staff who accommodates all your requests . The restaurant made sure that my wife enjoys her birthday with a beautiful view table along with a personalized card and some confetti on the table . It put a smile on her face. They also got her a raspberry short cake at the end with a candle on top to help us celebrate her birthday. When it comes to the food , it was okay . The special salmon was well decorated and had a lot of interesting things on the plate but the fish itself didn’t seem fresh and felt like we were having cooked frozen salmon. The shrimp cocktail was nothing extraordinary and the clam chowder was thick and clunky. The drinks were okay, the rum cocktail was too sweet for my liking however the mock tail was decent Overall the food was a disappointment for us as we were looking forward to this place for a very long time but the service and the ambiance made up for it and i gave an extra star just for it. I will go to this place only for the views but not so much for the food.

The best seafood I’ve heard so far. You can never go wrong with the Wild King Salmon, fried calamari and oysters. The food was good and the service too - the team was very friendly and explained the details of every meal. There are of course halal, kosher and vegetarian options too for both food and drinks. The view from the restaurant onto the sea - breathtaking. I think we started off with grilled sourdough and garlic butter. I heard from my colleagues that the seafood chowder was amazing too.

The only highlights of the experience were the stunning water and skyline views. The drinks and food were largely underwhelming. We ordered grilled halibut and roasted chicken for the entrees. While the chicken was well-cooked, the sauce to chicken ratio was way off. The halibut was bland and lacked flavor. The grilled asparagus seemed more boiled than grilled. The coco prawns were decent. The drinks were disappointing: the Old Fashioned had many small ice cubes instead of a single large one, and the Mango Margarita was poorly made. However, the Manhattan was well-prepared. Overall, the food and drinks didn't justify the price.

We had the sable fish and sirloin steak 🥩, creme brulee, couple cocktails and a glass of wine. Everything was marvelous. Felt like we had good value. View is outstanding obviously too. Our server (Jake?) was absolutely great.

Visiting from out of town and wanted a special place for a birthday celebration and this was it! From the second we walked in, the staff was kind and friendly. The food was amazing! Crab cakes and clam chowder for appetizers and NY strip and salmon for entrees (steak had a lot of pepper on it but we managed) and a surprise dessert to finish things off! Victor was amazing! So kind and personable and made the experience even better. Plus, you can’t beat the view! I would say we had the best table in the house. Highly recommend!!

We recently went to Salty's for our honeymoon kick-off dinner and it was FABULOUS. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was going to be a good experience. We had drinks in the bar area while waiting for our table & the cocktails were delicious. Then we were able to get seated at a window table with the view of seattle - it was beautiful! The atmosphere was great, food was absolutely delicious, and our server Keen was PHENOMENAL. This dinner was probably our best experience ever at a restaurant and Keen was a big part of that - he made our honeymoon dinner very special & went out of his way to provide exceptional service. 100% recommend Salty's on Alki!

My wife and I had our 30th anniversary dinner at Salty's on Alki and we had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Emmarie made the dining very enjoyable as we found her to be attentive and very friendly. The manager, Mara, also stopped by to chat and congratulate us. Dinner was delicious and the cocktails were perfect - not too sweet. It reminded us to come back more often for a fine meal at Salty's on the West Seattle waterfront with a great view of downtown Seattle. Great job!

Dress code is a joke. I stressed over having something appropriate to wear as I was only in Seattle for the weekend and packed light. Turned out I could have worn anything. That's fine but don't say you have a dress code if you don't. Saltys spicy Mary was delicious but was advertised to have salted rim- it didn't. Scallops had pork bits which was not noted on the menu. Overall, although the food was good I found Salty's to be overrated and over priced.

Can't beat the setting Across from the Seattle skyline The food and drinks were great But our server, Willian, brought it all up a notch; he was fantastic, and fun, and attentive.

The restaurant is expensive but worth it (dinner prices $35-$50). 1. The service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive but not hovering over us. 2. The food quality was excellent. Exactly as you would expect from an elegant restaurant. 3. Ambience was perfect. Many tables have waterfront views. Nautical decor. Dimmed lighting and candles on the table, etc. Romantic and intimate feeling, even in a large room. My favorite dinner restaurant in Seattle.

Salty's was my go-to pick to celebrate my wife's birthday, as I was already familiar with their excellence from their Portland location on the Columbia River, and I wanted a romantic place with a stunning view of the Seattle skyline after sunset. In this, and (almost) every facet of our dining experience here, Salty's did not disappoint. I say "almost", because one thing rubbed me wrong that I would like to mention first, to get my one complaint out of the way before lavishing the praise this restaurant truly deserves, and that is this: things that are generally included with an entrée at other restaurants, such as soup, salad and/or bread, are all a la carte items here, meaning you *will* be charged for them. The bread is an obvious one, since it appears on the appetizers portion of the menu (and is *absolutely* worth the price, because it is phenomenal), but the soup and salad, which we were inquired/offered by our server, were not as obvious, so it was a shock to see them (and their prices) on the bill at the end of our meal. Caveat emptor. Sticker shock aside, the meal was worth every penny. I went with the New York strip steak, atop a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, and alongside a prosciutto-wrapped bundle of asparagus. Fantastic! My wife ordered the Lobster and Prawn Bucatini, which was similarly incredible, and made me wish I'd ordered it myself. These were accompanied by the aforementioned a la carte sides of a Caesar salad, seafood chowder, and that wonderful garlic bread and butter. A cocktail, a glass of wine, and a creme brulée to conclude made for an unparalleled, memorable meal. Service: impeccable. Ambiance: intimate. Luxuriousness: guaranteed. The view: spectacular. Yes! Yes! Yes! Salty's is the king of the sea. Seek seafood satisfaction nowhere else!

Had reservations with my family for a weekend brunch. Started off with the calamari and oysters, both exceptional. Calamari cane out with an aioli, fried to a golden crisp and seasoned well, oysters came out with a raspberry mignonette. I ordered my go to for brunch, a classic eggs Benedict. Surprisingly there were no hash or potatoes served with this, but it was just the right portions, I probably would not have been able to finish my food if there were any sides accompanying my Benedict. For my mimosa, the champagne tasted as if it were left at room temperature, rather than chilled, but that doesn't stop me from having another. For dessert we shared the white chocolate raspberry cake, which was delightful. Not too sweet, and big enough for the 4 of us to share. John our server was fantastic. Rumor has it they're going to start back up the weekend brunch's on Sundays.

Saltys has been a Seattle establishment since 1980. The patio views of the Seattle Skyline from its Alki location are unmatched and thus a popular place to take out of town guests during the spring and summer months. My family and I went to Saltys at Alki for weekend brunch. We made reservations in advance and were seated in the lower patio where there was less wind. This was my first time visiting Saltys, but my parents have been here several times before and said that the interior looks exactly the same as it did 20 years ago. Upon my first impression, Saltys reminded me of Ivar's Seafood House with its sea and sailing decor, but on a much larger scale with huge banquet rooms, large upper and lower patios, and lots of indoor dining space. They have heating lamps too for guests who don't want to get cold from the coastal breeze. Since my family went for brunch, Saltys had both breakfast and lunch dishes available. Since it was nearing noon, we all decided to order lunch entrees instead of breakfast. We ordered the GARLIC CHILI PRAWNS (+$28), the BLACKENED COD TACOS (+$29), the KALBI MARINATED BEEF SANDO (+$26), and the STEELHEAD BLTA (+$27). We also ordered a couple cups of COFFEE. The GARLIC CHILI PRAWNS were served in a tomato, cilantro, and lime oil sauce with some smashed avocado. It was served on a grilled baguette- think like a hybrid of bruschetta and pico de gallo. The prawns were large and juicy and paired well with the oil. However, it was quite a heavy dish with the bread and so I ended up just eating most of the toppings. The BLACKENED COD TACOS were nice and moist. It came with two tacos served in corn tortillas and topped with cabbage slaw and queso fresco. The cod though was almost slightly undercooked though as it didn't flake when you put your fork into it. The outside also was barely blackened. It also came with a side of bright red tortilla chips (which are definitely not naturally colored) and roasted tomato salsa. The chips tasted fine, but the roasted tomato salsa was too sweet for my liking and lacked the extra kick of heat. The KALBI MARINATED BEEF SANDO was basically a banh mi. The menu said it came with furikake fries, but when we got the sandwich, it just had their regular beer battered fries on the side- still good, just not what we were expecting. Of the dishes, this dish was the smallest as the baguette slices were on the skinny side and there wasn't much meat in between the bread. The STEELHEAD BLTA, in comparison to the beef sando, was GIGANTIC. It had two thick pieces of steelhead trout in between sourdough with bacon and avocado. It also came with a side of beer battered fries. If you're hungry and looking for a filling dish, this is the dish for you. The COFFEE was excellent- super smooth with no sour or bitter notes. I drank mine black, but my mom added some cream to hers. Both ways tasted fine, but it didn't really need the cream in my opinion. Service was wonderful. Our waiter, Ben, was attentive and came by to refill our coffee and water several times. He was also prompt to bring out our food within 15-20 minutes of ordering. Note that Saltys automatically adds a 4% surcharge per check, but 100% of the proceeds go to the restaurant staff. TLDR, the view was more spectacular than the food, but it was still an enjoyable experience. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

What a gem. Took the water taxi from downtown Seattle for lunch. Great food, service and great he outdoor patio views were the best. Seafood chowders delicious, as were the drinks.

I would classify this as a restaurant with a great view, mediocre food, and not-great service. We won't be back. Made a reservation for Sunday brunch and arrived on time. After we checked in, we were told to have a seat and wait; the host/hostess promptly forgot about us; we noted that they seated folks that came in after us that did not have a reservation. Dining partner checked in with the host/hostess 15 minutes after our reservation time, after seeing five other groups get seated, and 20 minutes after our reservation we were finally at a table. We requested a view and were seated at the second tier - view was good from this tier but not as nice as if we'd been at the glass. We had a lot of fun watching all the maritime traffic coming and going from the Seattle waterfront, but I had a pretty limited view and had to keep turning around to see what dining partners were talking about. The food was edible - which is why this is two stars - but not great. Both cocktails were too syrupy sweet and we used all the lemons that came with our seafood to balance them out. The fried trio of shrimp, calamari, and a crab cake got our hopes up - it was pretty good, crispy and hot with two very tasty dipping sauces. Caesar salad hit the minimum required bar for Caesar, but it sure didn't match the excitement of the description "artisan romaine, preserved lemon, buttery croutons, house dressing" - more like fresh but standard romaine, , crouton crumbs from a foodservice bag, reasonably good dressing, and ... being generous ... maybe the lemon was ground into the dressing? or waved over the salad? Seafood chowder was terrible - probably one of the worst we've had in Seattle - overthickened, gloppy and pastelike, all milk, flour, and the occasional potato, no fish taste, barely any bacon taste, not enough salt. It was truly mediocre. Fish and chips - on the bright side it wasn't drowning in batter and it was hot; but the cod was overcooked, tough, chewy, and greasy. Fries turned almost instantly soggy. We didn't enjoy the seasoning on the fish, either. I had the Cascade scramble "roasted forest mushrooms, roasted red peppers, asparagus, chive boursin cheese, grilled sourdough" and it was like watery scrambled eggs that needed flavor and salt, with boiled, not roasted, vegetables. if there was any Boursin in it, it was minimal. You know it's bad when you want to ask for hot sauce or ketchup (I salted generously.) Part of this restaurant's character is a massive pepper grinder, bigger than a baseball bat, that the poor waitstaff have to lift and grind over your salad. Yay, fresh ground pepper, but I would recommend regularly wiping down the bottom of the pepper grinder as it was looking a little ... built up. And then we sat our table for 15+ minutes, empty plates in front of us, waiting for the check.

I made a reservation here for my wife's birthday dinner. We were warmly greeted and led to a table with a great view that was decorated with a birthday card and some swag. Very nice touch! Our waitress was very attentive and even though they were pretty busy for a weekday evening, she kept our glasses full and removed empty plates quickly. I looked around and saw the attire for the evening was across the board. Some folks were very casual in board shorts and summer dresses while others wore business casual. No one looked out of place. We had oysters and calamari for our appetizers and both were fantastic! Shortly after finishing our main courses were delivered. I enjoyed the halibut and my wife had the cioppino. Both dishes were delicious and the portions were just large enough to leave room for dessert. We enjoyed creme brulee and really had a great time. This is a restaurant to put on your short list for a special occasion or just a great dinner. The views are spectacular and parking with easy to find just adjacent to the restaurant. Enjoy!

Came here for dinner on a work trip. This is such a great restaurant sits right on the water and would have had no idea about if a friend who is a local put me on to it. It was gloomy and a little rainy but I still enjoyed it. I'm sure on a nice day it would be beautiful. The food was delicious , service was great we walked in upstairs , went around the bar inside downstairs to the patio in the back and sat outside it was wonderful. Will come again next time I'm in town

Classic seafood dining in a waterfront setting with spectacular views of the Seattle skyline, Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills is a local institution in the Pacific Northwest. With two locations, one in West Seattle along Alki Beach on Harbor Avenue Southwest, and another in the city of Portland, Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills specializes in classic fresh seafood served in fairly large portion sizes. If you are a resident of Seattle, then you have most definitely been here, and if you are an out-of-towner like we were then you have certainly been hosted here. Arriving on a warm Sunday evening for a large family dinner we sat immediately thanks to the reservations we were able to make the evening before. Despite being such a venerable institution, at one-page the menu at Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills is surprisingly brief as it is separated into categories including To Start, Soup & Seafood, Entrées, The Butcher's Block and Surf Your Turf. To start, some in our party wanted to sample arguably Washington state's most familiar seafood entrée, their oysters. And their Freshly Shucked Oysters, which were three dollars an order and served on a bed of ice and with raspberry pink peppercorn and a wedge of lemon was the perfect way to start our dinner. For our main course, I ordered their Grilled and Glazed Alaskan Sablefish which was served with pork belly fried rice, and topped with shredded Napa cabbage and shiitake mushrooms, ponzu dressing and chili crisps. Others in our party ordered their Pan Seared Scallops, which was served on top of three saffron potato croquettes, and topped with a combination of frisée, radicchio, pancetta vinaigrette, matcha butter, and pomegranate molasses; their Grilled Wild Salmon which was served with a side of smoked jalapeño rice, and topped with grilled corn, sweet onion, fennel, arugula and bourbon stone fruit bbq glaze; their Lobster and Prawn Bucatini which featured a combination of sautéed prawns, Maine lobster meat topped with saffron cream sauce and pecorino, and their 12 ounce Pepper Crusted New York Strip Steak which was served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes a side of prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and topped with demi-glace. It wouldn't take too long for our food to be brought out as we took in the bayside view and vibes, but we did notice that there was not a basket of bread to be served. Once our food did arrive, there were some of the heartiest dishes that we have enjoyed while staying in Seattle. My Grilled and Glazed Alaskan Sablefish was the perfect combination of sweet and buttery as my fish was perfectly cooked and tasted as if it were a butterfish, and when paired with their combination of fried rice and fresh vegetables, this dish was the perfect Asian fusion entrée for the tastebuds. I was able to sample both the salmon and the scallops and they were both prepared so wonderfully that I expect all of their entrées are prepared with such style and substance. For our dessert portion of our meal, our server was alerted ahead of time that we were celebrating a special anniversary in our party and they were not only nice enough to pre-sign a postcard signifying the specialness of our meal but they gave our party a slice of white chocolate mousse raspberry cake with a candle on top to make a wish. I only wish this meal lasted longer as I can only imagine what it would be like sipping a handcrafted cocktail and one of their many Happy Hour items served in their pirate waterfront themed bar. With decently priced meals, I can see why Salty's Waterfront Seafood Grills has been thriving for four plus decades. May their legacy continue to grow and may their food continue to be so deliciously prepared for another four decades.

Ok folks - after what seems like about 5 years - the best brunch buffet in Seattle is back! Was overjoyed to attend Father's Day brunch this year as they start getting their season legs back. Found our way to the best corner table, and waited on by 'the blond' as she calls herself - a 20 year veteran of the institution. Drinks, hot towels, plate clearing all impeccably attended to by wait and bus staff. The buffet?!?! YOU WILL LEAVE LONG BEFORE YOU TRY EVERYTHING! (Unfortunately). Great Benedict's, carved prime rib and hams, oysters shucked on demand, piles of crab and shrimp, not to mention omelette and pastas made to order with lobster, scallops, crab and shrimp. Crème brûlée, hummingbird cakes, and probably....30 other deserts? Not counting the chocolate fountain. Still one of the best waterfront views, easy parking, and staff that are as happy to be there as you are! It's a little speedy, but I have ZERO REGRETS taking the family of 5!

Came for birthday brunch. The team decorated the table and added a birthday card welcoming the (81 year obirthday girl. Very thoughtful. The hostess was delightful - very warm and friendly. The staff was very attentive- our glasses were never empty and they checked in often, despite a full house. My sister said the reservation process went smoothly. Grilled asparagus wrapped in procuitto, with a warm aioli (nice touch!) Golden beet salad looked delish- the birthday girl gobbled it up. The egg dishes were prepared well - our server Lindsay (awesome service!) wielded a baseball bar sized pepper grinder table side. Burger and fries were good - it wasn't cooked to medium and the fries were not as hot as they could have been, but it was still tasty. The white chocolate mousse cake was light and fluffy, the key lime tart was on point - just the right amount of tartness. They complimented each other well, if you aren't able to decide, which was my mom's dilemma. Overall a nice Sunday experience. Bathrooms were clean, and plenty of parking/easy walking distance from the Seattle water taxi.

As many have said before, this place is top notch! We had Jorge as a server and he was very helpful and friendly. This is a great seafood restaurant and we took a water taxi to get there. FUN It is a pricey place, but you do get what you pay for! We were there for my 61st birthday! They did a great job of celebrating with us!

Came here for the first time. And even though we had a reservation it still took 20mins to get our table. Our server Cameron wasn't attentive, after he served the food he never came back until we started standing around looking for him. To get the check and a box to go. My sister never got a refill on her soda, luckily they gave us all water. Now the food so was so good. I ordered the Louie Louie salad and it was so big I couldn't finish it. My mother got her salmon and it was so good but she got so full she couldn't finish it. The place is nice I loved all the fish decor

The views of downtown are gorgeous here but we were sat at a table where the servers were closing out checks so it made things awkward for us throughout the entire meal. The food wasn't great for the price. Our server was nice though.

Always a good experience oysters are from the owners own farmed fresh served with a glass of bubbles is a wonderful pairing. The service is always top notch and you can't beat the water views overlooking the sound!

A love letter to Salty's and Chad, The service from Chad was superb. He was cheerful, knowledgeable with the menu and humorous. He would check in on us at appropriate moments, refilled our water, overall it was great to have him as our server. The food was amazing, there was nothing from what we had ordered that we had disliked. The catch of the day (we chose salmon) was divine! The drinks were heavenly too, we had ordered a huckleberry lemon drop and espresso martini. We were celebrating our birthday and was given a yummy cake. The hand written "happy birthday -Salty's" was SO sweet and the little happy birthday confetti. Everything was so well thought out and is truly thoughtful. The interior was interesting and the view of the waterfront was spectacular! Overall, we would come back again and the only complaint is that we must get Chad again!

This is a classic seafood restaurant with a few locations in the PNW, but this one is located specifically around Alki Beach offering excellent views facing the Space Needle and the Seattle cityscape. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch at opening (10am) just in case, and I was glad I did because it gets busy really quickly by 11am. Also, I am not sure if they actually honor table reservation requests, as I noted that down but they asked us in person on seating preferences, but nonetheless we scored a window table directly facing the Space Needle and the city! We got one of the best seats in the house, and that added a star in the books. Food and experience in general were 3 stars for me, given the price vs quality. We got half dozen oysters, crab mac and cheese, Alki trio, and large seafood chowder. The oysters were not too fresh and it is a bit fishy, so I wasn't particularly fond of it and a little disappointed given this is a seafood restaurant. The crab mac and cheese has generous servings of crab and is fairly rich. The pasta of choice was okay - it was a bit soft but still relatively al dente, and it properly soaks up the sauce. The Alki trio consists of a crab cake, calamari, and coco prawns. The crab cake is probably my favorite dish we ordered - fresh chunks of crab, though not purely crab as there is a little bit of filling mixed in. The calamari was also good, a little heavy, but still very delicious. The coco prawns has a nice balance of sweet and savory. The large seafood chowder was okay - a bit too thick, and there was not much seafood. I do like how the waiter brought out a huge cannon of a black pepper shaker that looks ridiculous but showy and entertaining. Service is okay given it is an American restaurant. Water refills were consistent, but the time to order, get the check, etc took a while even when they were not busy. Overall, I would only recommend this place if you want a somewhat touristy experience and to take people out of town for the views, but if you are in for a culinary experience, look elsewhere.

Booked a reservation online. In the notes, I asked to get one of the "better" seats in the restaurant, but for a non-busy Sunday, we weren't given a very good seat. So just for reference...not sure how much they look at the notes. 4 of us ordered: -calamari $19: good qty, but not crispy enough at all -steelhead BLTA $27: ok, but overpriced -cascade scramble: $18, ok, nothing special -exotic mimosa $13: standard -coco prawns $13: ok -belgian waffle $16: ok, pretty heavy -fremont lush IPA $9: ok, not many beer options -fish and chips $27: overpriced, fries were ok, but super soggy Parking on premises or on the street. Most people come to Salty's for the view...the food definitely needs some work.

The automatic 4% surcharge was disappointing. Other than that, the food and service were terrific. We started outside but moved inside because the sun went away. We had the halibut, fish n chips, scallops, sablefish, and a bunch of oysters. Too many amazing views of skyline while dining. I wish they would bring back their amazing brunch buffet every weekend. I definitely would visit more often.

Food: Excellent! My dining companions and I had the raw oysters, calamari, salmon salad, and cod with butternut squash risotto and everything was fabulous! I started with bubbly and we drank a red with dinner. Service: Laura is the best. My friends usually sit at the bar and know her from there, but since she was on the dining room floor that bought, we asked to sit in her section. She was terrific, very personable, and knowledgeable. Ambiance: It truly doesn't get better than this. Excellent views of the city!! The only critique I can possibly give is that the lit Christmas trees that were still up in February blocked the gorgeous view.

Loved our visit!! We sat right on the window and had an EPIC view of the city and Space Needle. Saw a few seals out in the water and enjoyed our menu selections from restaurant week. The oysters were fresh and the huckleberry lemon drop was incredible!

We decided to try salty's after reading so many good reviews, however I was pretty disappointed. I tried their habanero margarita, which was amazing. I also had their Cesar salad but I did not like it, it was too lemony and also tasted fishy. I also got the coco shrimp and I didn't like those either. Our server took great care of us though and made the experience a bit better. I won't be coming back but I'm glad I got to see the view from the restaurant.

Dining here is definitely more for the view rather than the food (which is not bad but also not out of this world). Dinner was quite pricey but the entree portions are large. Our table ordered the calamari, crab boil , chicken, scallops, and cioppino. My cioppino was ok, not super flavorful. We sat next to the window and watched the sunset which was beautiful. Our server (guy with glasses) was really nice.

The view of the restaurant always takes my breath away. I could sit and look at the city for hours. I bet it very romantic at dinner with a seat by the window. I was lucky enough to see the view when the sun went down and the city lights turned on. The food here is very fresh. I've got to the Portland location many times and this one blows it out of the water with quality of food. The crab was incredible and so were the oysters. The chocolate fountain looked like a piece of art, tucked next to the fire place. HIGHLY recommend branching here. Fresh food, incredible views and friendly attentive staff. The food it displayed beautifully and they have unique coastal sculptures all around the restaurant. The decor for the holidays was beautiful.

First, the pros: Good attentive service, great views of the bay and the city skyline. The cons: the food is extremely overpriced and mediocre. Also slow. We watched as the manager came out to each table to apologize for the slow arrival of entrees. Bottom line: Come here to celebrate a special occasion in which you want to impress using the remarkable view, and don't think of the pain you will be feeling the next day when your wallet is empty and cannot even remember the food!!

View View View View! Just go there for the most spectacular view of Seattle skyline! The food is probably more like a 4 star .. it nice, it fancy but the food for the price, maybe not the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to food! Service is phenomenal! It is what you expect to pay for the money you pay! They are all courteous, prompt and professional! Overall, the entire meal becomes a 5 star because of the view and overall experience the comes with the view!

A great place for special occasions or entertaining out-of-town guests. The views are incredible and the seafood is perfectly cooked. Highly suggest making reservations for dinners. I got the black cod saltimbocca during my recent visit and it was really tasty. The risotto was well seasoned and the a bit different while the fish was super tender. For appetizers, we got the calamari, tahoma clams, and halibut croquets which were all good. Portion sizes for entrees depend on the dish you order so I recommend ordering some appetizers to round out your meal.

Haven't been to Salty's in years. So the wife and I had a chance to escape and made reservations. The food is nothing like it used to be. Service was hood but food was lacking. Looked great but the flavor just wasn't there. For what it cost I would expect it to not be so bland. But we may give them another shot in the future.

The best part is this place has an amazing view. We came here with a party of 4 and didn't have to wait because it was before 6 pm. We had to do street parking because the parking lot is so tight together. The highlight of the meal was the crab legs and toasted bread that came with the clams. It was so fresh with herbs and butter already baked into it. We enjoyed the savory flavor of the salmon special with truffle risotto and chimchurri sauce. The truffle was not too heavy too take away from texture or the salmon. Wedge salad hit the spot on a hot day and we could order both blue cheese and ranch dressing. The sablefish was average with minimal flavor. The white chocolate cake was surprisingly pretty decent and just the right sweetness with a hint of cheesecake texture. We felt service was incredibly hectic due to us waiting to get extra plates or lemon and we waited over 20 minutes for our bill. For a place of this caliber and price we expected a bit higher organized service.

This was our favorite restaurant in Seattle. The view of the city is incredible. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. They sat us by the window, there were rose petals on the table, and there was an Anniversary Card signed by the staff. Needless to say, we felt special. The service and food were excellent. Our reservations were at 7:00pm, so we were able to watch the skyline as the sun went down, then the lights of the city in the dusk. It was absolutely stunning. Don't miss this one!

We made a reservation a week prior and requested a seating with a nice view. However, when we were seated, we were bit disappointed that we got a table further away from the window. Had to wait for 15-20 min even though we made the reservation. This is one of the best restaurant with the Seattle Skyline view. Service was great. Food was good.

Best seafood in Washington! We loved the lobster tail and will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend Salty's.

I spent most of my life Iiving in Seattle but moved away many years ago. I used to go to Salty's all the time and it was always excellent. I haven't been there for over 20 years but now that my son lives in Seattle we decided to celebrate his birthday there and see if it was as good as it always was. It did not disappoint! Everything was delicious, our server Cameron was great and the birthday details and window seat were top notch. Thank you Salty's for not losing your top notch quality!

Another Restaurant Week winner! Drinks at the bar till the table was ready, long wait, but ok, I had a espresso martini & a guava mimosa, my friend had a habanero + fruit margarita. Delicious! First course, we both got chowder, lots of seafood, pepper was definitely needed. Ordered the grilled sourdough and it was definitely a great add on! Mains, my sable fish and rice were outstanding, she was meh on her red curry salmon. DInner drinks I got raspberry cucumber something, very delicious, she got a flavored tea. Dessert we both got the chocolate torte, huge portion & delicious!!!!! Great service, amazing drinks, great food, last day of restaurant week. Minus a star for the wait (greater than 30 mins after res time) & the meh curry.

An adventure to West Seattle by water taxi lead us to Saltys. With one of the best views of the Seattle skyline, they also delivered on some great food and drinks. Our waiter, Gunnar, was incredibly personable and quick too. Highly recommend.

Salty's is such a special place to dine at for any occasion. I just moved to the area and wanted to celebrate by coming here and it was perfect, it might just be the prettiest view of the Seattle skyline. The food was pricey but it was soooo good, I could seriously eat the truffle risotto every day for the rest of my life. The halibut was perfectly cooked and tasted so buttery and fresh. We also got the seafood pasta and this one was really filling and had great flavor. The only thing I didn't like about Salty's was the weird service. We made a reservation for 7 to catch the sunset and we didn't get seated until closer to 7:30pm so we ended up missing the sunset altogether. Also, once we got seated at our outside table we heard a quite awful exchange of words between our server and hostess. Something about how the server didn't want the hostess seating any more people in her section. You could just tell the server did not want to be there and it showed in the service and kinda put a damper to the experience.

If you want an immaculate view of downtown Seattle across the bay, Salty's is the place just for you. It is a seafood restaurant, but for this non-seafood eater, it was a pleasant experience. There were not many non-seafood options but I went with the Salty's half pounder. This was a very good burger! The meat wasn't anything special. But the fluffy, buttery bun mixed with the Tillamook Cheddar cheese, raw onion, tomato, pickles, and mayo made an irresistible burger. I did leave off lettuce because lettuce is a waste of space on a sandwich and takes away flavor from other parts of the sandwich. Yes, lettuce adds crunch but what else? You can add bacon for an upcharge. Mustard and ketchup have to be requested. My picky stepson had the kids burger. After a few bites he told me this was one of the best burgers he had. The kids burger was just as big as the Half-pounder except without the toppings. As good as the burger was, the fries were even better! They were thick and beer battered. My party ordered the TKO potatoes as well. They are small potatoes with some kind of seasoning and served with Miso White BBQ sauce. I think they meant Alabama White BBQ sauce (Roll Tide!). My wife had the Salmon Caesar Salad. She enjoyed it. I actually tried the salmon and thought it was all right because it didn't taste like fish. My party finished with a White Chocolate Raspberry cake. The cake was light, fluffy, and let the toppings stand out. It might have been the best thing at Salty's. So if you are a non-seafood eater looking for a burger or dessert and wanting a view of the bay and Seattle, Salty's is the place for you.

I'll be honest, I'd never heard of Saltys. A group of us were in Seattle a couple of days before our Alaska Cruise and decided to Ferry over to Alki Beach. Once we got 'to the other side', there she was in all of her waterfront glory beckoning us to walk over and have dinner. Imagine this: 27 people walking up to the Hostess stand, on a Friday evening, without reservations and asking to be accommodated! THE HORROR that poor girl must have felt!!! The hostess calmly said she would have to check with the manager. Within minutes Manager Patrick came to talk to us. (I seriously thought he would say he couldn't accommodate our group and send us packing). Patrick graciously explained if we could sit outside and split into two tables he could set us up! We happily agreed!! The outside Patrick was talking about was an extra large clear event tent with the sides open to enjoy the gorgeous weather and views!! We were BEYOND thrilled with this set up! Our table's server was Chris who was incredibly patient with us (explaining and reexplaining the daily specials, answering a plethora of questions, taking our photos, etc). I enjoyed Oysters and the Salmon Daily Special. Hubs enjoyed Calamari and the Halibut Daily Special. All food and drinks were outstanding!! Everyone enjoyed their dinners. This incredibly special dinner stands out as one of our most favorite highlights of our 10 day vacation. Thank you Patrick, Chris and all of the Saltys team members who went Above and Beyond to take care of us! Cheers!

This place was such a nice find for when we visited Seattle. I'm always searching for unique or special restaurants in other cities and this place had a view of downtown so we had to go. We took the ferry across and that ride in itself is worth it due to the view of the skyline, so pretty. I recommended leaving in the daytime and heading back after sunset to see the city both standard and lit up. It was July so we sat outside and enjoyed the perfect weather and we even saw a seal swimming nearby. We started with coco shrimp, so good and I had a seafood pasta dish which was great too. The only reason I can't give it 5 is because there was a cargo ship blocking some of the view from the patio so the ferry ride had a better view. I was told it wasn't permanent but took away from the experience a little. The server was friendly and attentive. A great place to visit :)

The food was excellent halibut was cooked to perfection. The crabcake was delicious. Highly recommend this place and the best view in all of Seattle.

We went on a Thursday during oyster happy hours. Each of us ordered a dozen oysters. Flavor wise, there were not a lot of variations. The oysters were all local species from local farms. But it was very satisfying slurping those oysters without worrying too much about the $$. We also ordered sushi and some other food. Food was just okay. But the view definitely compensated. You could see the Seattle skyline from the restaurant. Out table was inside and there were some obstructions in the way. However, the overall ambiance was still very romantic and dreamy. Great dating spot for sure. It does get chilly at night. So make sure to bring extra layers. We asked the waiters if there were blankets that we could borrow. They didn't come back after a while so we thought they forgot about it. But they later returned with some blankets that they said they washed for us. Very nice people.

Let me. Just tell you, best ever! Best service, amazing food and amazing selection. My first time and was amazed. Every meal was amazing. Even for my 15 year old. Thank you for making our 18 year special anniversary the best!!!! Jenn was awesome.

This is for Salty's in SeaTac Airport. 1. Get the seafood chowder. It's the most amazing thing available in that entire food court area. 2. Get at least 1 oyster. I had previously never eaten a raw oyster, but the flavor with the raspberry vinaigrette, it was light, fresh, springtime deliciousness. 3. The halibut fish n chips was okay, not worth 40.00+ dollars though. The halibut was very heavy and solid so I was definitely full after eating it. The chips were very thin shoestring potatoes, not at all like the hefty British chips you might expect. 4. Eat the cake. Im not kidding. The quality of the flour they used is like a very very expensive wedding cake. Get the cake, eat the cake, take the cake with you. It was so good I dreamt about it twice since I got home.

One of the few places that paid attention to our reservation details and made arrangements for our birthday celebration. They set up a cute table and surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake. Dave was our waiter, and he was very nice and polite. We got the special chef's salmon dish, and it tasted so good. We highly recommend this restaurant. It has a great view of the city, and you can enjoy the scenery while enjoying your meal.

Wonderful ambience sitting outside by the water on a sunny morning. Started with espresso martini $15, coconut mango mojito $12, Brut $9 and guava mimosa $13. Drinks were great. We also started with a dozen of oysters on half shells. Menu says $3 each = $36. We were charged $45?? Perhaps 1/2 of the dozen was higher price but the server should have told us. The worst part was that the oysters were not tasty at all. Our entrees were 1. Fish & chips $27 2. PNW seafood scramble 3. Lobster roll special $38 4. Steelhead BLTA. Lobster roll was rich and delicious. Fish & chips was average. Both the Seafood scramble and the steelhead BLTA were very bland. The eggs in the scramble had no seasoning and the few pieces of shrimp and crab were also tasteless. We had high expectations coming here to celebrate a birthday. Service was good but the food quality certainly did not warrant the price point.

Despite that the best part was probably the crispy bacon & chocolate waterfall if you ask my son Service was great- even took pictures for us which was nice View cannot be beat And take the scones to go!!....
