"When you approach Salud’s mural-covered NoDa building, you get to pick from three doors. You want the one in the middle, and it reads: BREWERY COFFEE PIZZA ART SALUD. Once you go up the staircase, you’ll find yourself in a spacious taproom that feels like a secret, grown-up clubhouse. It’s a true community hangout in Charlotte that’s great for anyone, any time of the day. If you’re there in the morning, get a coffee and the breakfast crunchwrap with sausage, scrambled eggs, a crispy corn tortilla, and homemade cheez whiz, all wrapped in a griddled flour tortilla blanket. "NoDa’s Salud Cerveceria is an iykyk (if you know, you know) situation, and those who do are the lucky ones. It emanates a certain cool that can’t be manufactured. Although, maybe it’s the natural wine and funky beers that do the trick. This food is not so serious but hits the spot, like the weekends-only breakfast Crunchwrap and the pizza draped in white sauce, ricotta, and prosciutto. The house-made focaccia is salted and fluffy and is even better when dressed up as one of Salud’s sandwiches, which are delicacies meant to be destroyed. There’s a loungey upstairs, casual downstairs with craft beers, and a great, social side patio. This brewery and tap room is known for its wide selection of beers, but surprisingly has a standout wine list, with Slovenian pét-nats and effervescent orange wines. The pizza hits every mark, too. The Return of the G pie is topped with mushrooms, mozzarella, and zucchini, then drizzled with local honey. Locals know to grab a seat here before or after a show at the neighboring theaters.
