Samovar Tea Lounge

Very nice interior design, nice and clean bar. The service did take a while but it was worth it. Had a tasty duck breast sandwich (added egg). Not cheap, not too expensive, but really good food. The bartender was super nice and very quick.

Beware! You might pay more than what you see on their price list. Saw d price on d wall $7.70 for matcha latte shake. I ordered 1 at their cashier/ordering counter, they ask if its for here or to go. I say "for here", so that i could eat an appitizer too. The drink became $10! Never been to an eatery that charge such a huge difference and don't even see "fine prints" notifying about price difference.

It took 20 mins to be served just a cup of chai and a cup of coffee. It was Tuesday around 11 am, there were only 2 other customers who already got what they ordered and 2 waiting staffs, so it was nothing like busy at all. Chai was absolutely bland and tasted worse than Starbucks'. My mom said her coffee was tepid and flavorless. I wonder why it took so long to just get two cups of mediocre drinks. We were worried if we could get our drinks in time and had to ask for check as soon as it was served, and drank them pretty hurriedly as my mom's boarding time was pressing. We couldn't enjoy our drinks and time to see each other off at all.

A zen place to have a cup of tea before catching up with your flight.

The barista can’t even close the lid of the takeaway cup properly, and the latte spilled all over me. You can tell he is very unprofessional, a novice, but thanks to that, the spilled latte didn’t burn me. In addition to the under foamed luke warm temperature, the matcha latte tastes way too sweet. The other staff did apologise but the barista didn’t seem to give a damn. Standing there with a queer attitude. I felt sorry for the other staff cleaning up the mess of the spilled latte. Credits to her.

If -1 star was possible i would have given that. Today had turmeric coconut latte from this restaurant, ended up vomiting all the latte i had after 1 hr. I am a foodie and have had all kinds of best and worst foods, this is the first time I vomited. So, nothing much to say. Yes, cost was also high. Worst experience. Never ever again.

This is head and shoulders better than any other eatery I have tried at SFO (and that goes for pretty well all of them in International G and T3). I had an excellent avocado toast with egg and truffle oil on GF and a turmeric lemonade. Tasty, healthy and reasonably priced. They even had real salt and pepper grinders, rare in California let alone the airport. I will definitely be back
