Sam's American Eatery

Important: Get the Lavender Yuja Tea. It’s incredible. Sam’s is a cozy American eatery filled wall to wall with signed posters of all the shows to come through the Orpheum. The Hamilton themed menu was fun to see after going to the show. Drinks are a must here. They excel in every category. Food has huge portions and fun options. The fire chicken was indeed fire, and spicy too. Fish and chips were prehistoric in size. Bolgolgi beef tacos were a hit. Vegetarians: there’s multiple options, we went with the chickpea sandwich which was beautifully delivered and felt fresh.

The restaurant is really cool. I loved the decor and the energy. AND, you get a discount if you’re a member at the Orpheum! The staff was super friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the themed drinks to match the play we were seeing, plus they were really good. The food was pretty good too. Nothing spectacular, but a solid meal, just not apt of choices. Not necessarily a bad thing, just look at the menu before you go. I ordered the fish and chips, my husband had a burger. Both were solid. No complaints. Just not spectacular. However, they do have tater tots and that is awesome in my book. I love a tater tot. Would I go back, totally! It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite before heading to the theatre. You’ll love it.

Great location, especially if you're planning to see a show at the Orpheum and want to eat something beforehand. The place is very clean with a nice atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. If you're seeing a show, I recommend arriving 1:30 or at least an hour before to ensure you have enough time to eat. We waited 20-25 minutes for our food, which is reasonable for a weekend brunch. We ordered classic brunch menus: the plating was flawless, and the food was good enough (I know it's hard to impress with classic menus). However, their Americano might disappoint those who love hot, dark roast beans. Maybe there was an issue with their coffee machine when we went, but the coffee was very lukewarm. I’m willing to return and try their lunch or dinner menus if I'm seeing another show at the Orpheum.

Very nice eatery, less than 1/2 a block from Orpheum Theater. We pop in after shows for a bite. The menu has refreshing options. The staff & service wonderful. The atmosphere delightful. Call if you are going to a show to check hours as they vary depending on shows times. Can’t wait to go back.

nice atmosphere, cool accent designs. came in and was immediately offered water, never pressured to ordered, and the food was good, loved the bacon if you can find beauty in simple but elegant stuff , this restaurant does it pretty good in my opinion ( staff got some nice smiles )

We ate here for breakfast and absolutely loved the food. My kids had chicken and waffles, I had chicken sausage eggs benedict, and my wife had avocado toast. Everything was great, no complaints.

The best place for pre-Orpheam shows! You may eat along side some cast memebers (We did)! Food is fun and they incorporate the show into the food choices and drinks. Food was beautifully prepared. No Gluten free options so we had a unless burger and fish and chips. Burger was flavorless but looked great! Both our fries were cold. The drinks are fun and delicious. Yuzu tea was a favorite! Atmosphere is fun and have cast signed posters. I'd go again! Next show for sure! Make reservations the place is small but accommodating.

If you're going to the Orphium (I'm not sure why you would be in the neighborhood if you werent), this is your place. Warning, it's NOT that big, so if you can, make reservations. 5:45 is very comfortable for the show. Menu has been modified to the show currently at the Orphium, and is a fun read. While it's a "Diner", the food is varied, and has always been good.
