Sam's Club

Absolutely love my Concord Sam's Club! Although it has gotten busier in the last couple of years, it's still it's much less chaotic than Costco. Great meat department, reasonable prices for eggs and milk and a large bakery and produce department. Friendly staff and perhaps the best part is the ability to use the "Scan and Go" option to shop in-warehouse without using a checkout line!

Sam's Club is quite a distance from my home, but I make the 16-mile drive to get the items I need. The quality of the products is always excellent. The store is easy to navigate due to its well-organized aisles. Everything is reasonably priced, too. Just remember that you need a club membership to shop here.

Sushi My apologies for not taking a picture before, but it looked amazing! The staff is there seven days a week preparing fresh sushi 🍣! The label has the date and time packaged. This variety combo was perfect for my husband and I to enjoy after shopping.

The customer service at this Sam’s Club is ridiculous every time I come. I come during the week in the late mornings and there are always long lines. Long lines to check out that go extremely slow. Long lines at customer service that go extremely slow. I will never come here again. I lost my card in the store and was told that NO STORES ANYWHERE have cards. I have to download the app. Looks like I will only be going to Costco after this.

Sam's club is amazing. Their price of products is very competitive in term of quality. It is my first time shopping in the warehouse bit had a great experience. My favorite is the size of product is not too big not too small. Their online shopping website is fantastic. Staffs are hospitable. The only feeling that I want to improve the store is color. It is a corporate thing but I always prefer brighter color rather than a single tone here is blue. I'll have so many things to try at the Sam's Club. I hope sharing more groceries time at Sam's Club with others.

I wish there was more than one Sam’s Club in the Bay Area, but it is what it is. They have waaaaaaay more brands and items than Costco and the prices are better as well. You get price discounts on certain items if you save it in the app BUT you have to pay for it via the app, not in store. I’m pleased over all and will keep coming back

Huge parking lot. Excellent curbside service. In less than 5 minutes, they bring items to your car with a big smile. They put in your vehicle and say have a good day. You can find many different kinds of items and services in the Sams club. Sometimes they have a car key copy express with a very, very good Price. Almost half price. You can find tires and batteries, and oil for your cars. Many kinds of fresh fruits, fresh bread, snacks for kids and adults, gums, chocolate, soda, vitamin waters, and fruit juices. Other types of water. Fresh meat, Chiken, fish. Milk, yogurt, cheeses. One of the best service that have that I love it, is “ SCAN and GO” it's unbelievable. It make it very easy to purchase. You can choose anything else that you like, scan with your phone, and pay with your phone without staying Inline. You also have your recipe on your phone forever. I have been using Sams club since 2017. But, remember to check when you order fruits for pick up. Something they put bad fruit by mistake. I’m sure they don’t want it but, it happens sometimes. They also sell many items online with free shipping. Delivery is fast with two or three days. Most of them do not cost shipping. They also have a code for lunch and dinner. They have frozen food and cooked food ready to eat. They have clothes and shoes.

Online service for food sucks place an order at 213 went to pick up at 3 and still wasn't ready end up getting my order at 4 pm plus the girl the was handing out the pizzas was acting rude only with me and skipping my order I will never order here again

7/20/25 This is the closest Sam's Club to the Bay Area. Why the 5 stars? Affordable membership? Check. Snacks you can't find at Costco? Check. Mobile Scan Self Checkout? Check. Unique food court items? Check. I like Sam's Club. - @beebslikes

And this is only for the food court! The line was ridiculously long and man they took hellllla long! I mean you cant complain the prices still are cheap bust flavor is very mid! The workers all had attitudes they ran out of napkins and were getting mad at us for asking! On top of it all the soda machines had no flavor and out of sugar!

Sam's Club is the Walmart version of Costco, both have a similar big box concept. Because it's owned by Walmart, they promote their Members Mark brand of products. Their name brand food and products are generally good in taste and quality. My wife likes going here, they have some products that Costco doesn't carry like Horizon organic milk and Progresso canned soup just to name a couple. I appreciate that they don't make you buy a 24 pack of beers and products that you don't have to buy in bulk compared to Costco. The return policy is good as well. The reason I don't give it five stars is that they don't give you the option to order food at the register like Costco. Also, the staff checking you out is not nearly as friendly in general. That being said, the prices are great, and it's a good thing to have variety.

Literally my favorite store! The staff are always nice and Sam's Club always has new and exciting things. The store itself is way to navigate and very clean. With the scan and go app I can be in and out in now time. The prices are always great and the quality is high. Only issue is that I wish they had more of these!

I got everything I needed. Good customer service, today. Cupcakes and cake are priced great but order on the app for the best experience. Bakery staff is tricky sometimes. I prefer Sam's over Costco and I have both.

Sam's Club is similar to Costco. I really enjoy using the app to shop here. You can scan your items as you shop and then just leave without having to wait in line to check out. They have amazing quality meats. I bought boneless pork chops, which are super great on the grill or in the crock pot. Very affordable and super thick! Also, the NY Strip Steaks I purchased were of the highest quality. I tenderized them and seasoned with McCormick's steak seasoning & olive oil. They came out fantastically on the grill! The only thing to be aware of is that if you're using the app to shop (without checking out with a checker) you cannot purchase alcohol.

We normally go to Costco but just recently added a Sam's membership to try. And it had more than we thought. It definitely wasn't as crowded as Costco and we had to scan membership card for everything including food court and exit. But I liked the fact that a lot of their sizes weren't as big as Costco size. Selection was decent and we saw stuff (especially snacks) that Costco didn't carry. And this the kicker, the food court! More selection, cheaper since smaller but who cares. We got a slushy and pretzel. This would be a kid's reward if the kids were younger. Except this Sam's didn't have a gas station. Otherwise once kids are gone and you don't need Costco sizes, Sam's is a good and less stressful alternative.

Im costco member since 90's.. my cousin has a sams membership and I went with her, I like was in awe cause the variety is above costco... I ended up getting a membership and downloading my costco membership.... Since the gas duh

A great variety of general & special wholesale needs from A-Z which surpasses any CLUB stores around especially Costco & BJ's!!!! The staff is very friendly & polite as they serve you throughout the store. They also have a great on-line service with free delivery for the major Credit Card with the Super membership!! WoW what a super Club store

1 star do NOT recommend. This store is jam packed with people, items and long, frustrating lines. Trying to get in and out? It won't happen. I went in for one item and grabbed some food from the cafe. It took me an hour to get in and out, mainly because I had to wait for my food for over 20 minutes! I go to Sam's Club because I hate how crowded and slow Costco can be on the weekend. This location is exactly like Costco, down to the terribly crowded parking lot. Maybe this place is better in the morning during the week, but I highly recommend against going on the weekend.

Was not a big Walmart or Sam's Club fan for years, But during covid and now both are keeping the prices down. (by a lot) i don't buy kraft singles but i use it as a benchmark $9.83 for 72 slices at Sam's. Same at safeway $17.94. does Safeway need to charge 100% markup to make money? Giant tub of baby spinach 4 bucks at sams. same at safeway 7 bucks for half the amount of spinach and for that i thank the people at Sams and walmart, love you guys

Curbside is always fast and reliable. I've never had an issue with the correct products or amounts being correct.so simple and fast! Saves me tons of time ! DJ is amazing she so heartwarming and kind keep it up thank you!

This was my first time going to Sam's club and I must say it was a great experience. It wasn't as messy and crowded as Costco is and I was walk down aisles without getting mad because people are just standing in the middle of the aisle getting in the way. My favorite feature is that you are able to scan items on your phone through the app and checkout using the app and not have to wait in line, that's awesome! Unfortunately due to time I wasn't able to try out the food court but next time I will. Overall this was a great experience and totally worth the 20 min drive!

I am a Sam's Club plus member, I have received a lifetime ban on free shipping, because I shipped to more than 10 addresses. Two of my children moved during the year and I have sent gifts to relativies all over the country. A completely unrealistic condition with no chance of reinstatement. I will not be renewing my membership, there is a Costco on the other side of the highway.

Sams club renewed our membership by using a credit card we had bought something online. The website says they renew when authourized . We never did that. My son set up the account in 2024 paid with his charge card. We were in Arizona for 3 months. Friends we have in Arizona said they had a credit card charged for membership. "Oh yes that happens" gave them a refund but let them keep that membership. Now I'm trying to go in and look at my account. It says actually not sure what it says. Asked me to reset password did that. Tried to log in says this email address is listed for a different account. I believe they make it hard to manage your account so I can't see what's going on.

Isles were packed with boxes and food left in boxes in the refrigerators and freezers. Major concern, almost hit by the fork lift driver as he was on his cell phone driving. If anyone has had the experience of trying to check out. the self-check-out line was not supervised to help customers and trying the exit the store resulted in longer wait times

The online service is trash. I got a tv from them and it came damaged. They said they would send another and to return the broken one in the new box. The new one was also broken! Dead pixels all around the borders of both. So I returned them both and went and bought a tv at Best Buy. They have refused for two months to refund my money. They have their broke POS tv's back. Discover refunded my money when I disputed it but they have never refunded it. You lost a customer for life and I will advise anyone listening, forever, to not waste money at Sam's club!

Well I came to bring a Sam's club cart back as it was left on a commercial property I maintain A person left it in the sitting area and dumped the contents happens sometimes and I bring the carts back to the store usually close by and sometimes I get a bounty 12 pack of coke and some gratitude instead I was blown off by the greeters when I asked for a manager they wanted me to do all the footwork. Well after sitting guarding my tools in the back of my truck a couple ladies blew me off said I should have put it in my dumpster

They offer more "brand name" selections than Costco and I specifically love the "scan and go" from the app. They even have discounted items if you opt to scan and go. I also found that some items are even cheaper here... definitely their fresh fruits and veggies and most meat. Did I mention more selection? And not everything is in bulk, big servings. The only downside is location. Concord is the closest one in the bay area! I usually have to plan the trip and only go there once every 2-3 months. Their snack bar also offers more options, although not as much as they did pre-pandemic. They do need to have someone checking the condiments and supplies more often. The last couple of times that we were there, they were missing condiments, forks/spoons, and the same area was messy and sticky from spilled soda, which is not entirely their fault. People are just not conscientious enough to pick up after themselves.

I came in to Sam's Club to get a membership. But The line is long it wraps around to the corner into the battery section. So I stand I. Line to purchase a membership. As I'm standing in line, I'm waiting to see how long it's gonna take me to get a membership. It didn't take long at all so stop in and get signed up & Kassie & Kayla in membership services is very nice and knowledgeable about membership and anything you need in Sam's Club.

This is for the food quart. One word, Terrible. Get it together. Get organized. Cleaned up and better ran. I wait 1 hour for a Pizza that should have been done in 20 mins ago. What the fuck

They are great, and I enjoy shopping here way better then Costco. The customer service is so much nicer!

This review is regarding their Cafe. Management needs to spend time at a Costco to learn how to make the Cafe more efficient. 1. Employees are rude, constantly looked annoyed, are not organized and very unhelpful. They disregard whomever ordered first and just give food away to who they like. 2. Waiting 30 min for one whole pizza is ridiculous. Dominos is ready in 10 min. They won't allow you to have the whole pizza that was made for individual slice sale, even if you've been waiting 30 min and that pizza has already just been sitting there for 20 min, untouched. 3. What's the point of ordering on the app if it's no way quicker or faster getting your food. 4. I'm pretty sure Sam's Club can afford one more pizza oven to accommodate the pizza requests instead of letting paying customers wait an unacceptable amount of time.

I love Sam's club because they still offer polish sausage but then again since they've switched to a different hot dog, that's a winner too, the only drawback is the bun they use, it's too soft for my liking, I prefer a french roll instead. The other item I like is the frozen yogurt, I just get it and waiting until it melts and use a straw to enjoy a chocolate milkshake made of yogurt. I've tried their pizza before but I'm not a fan of pizza so no use in having me comment on something that I don't go out of my way to eat.

I am not sure what I think of Sam's Club. I am a Costco member as well and recently became a Sam's club member. Some pros of Sam's Club to Costco is being a Plus member allows for more flexibility while shopping (earlier opening times, free curbside and shipping). It's a little frustrating that Costco has not adopted these features and the scan as you go on the app is very convenient on Sam's Club. So these are definitely advantage for being a Sam's club member. The items sold at Sam's club are not always very big or club size, it's just larger than the typical but not as Costco big. This warehouse has a lot of items but sometimes, I feel like it's not enough. It can also be overwhelming at times. Parking here is very easy. I find the card check at the door is hit and miss. Sometimes, there is someone there and other times, there isn't.

Scan and go makes shipping experience quick and easy. No standing in lines. Upon exit, the staff make quick work of scanning your receipt instead of going over one by one. Had everything I need.

Sam's club!! Shopping is tricky these days with prices so high. I was really pleased to find the things at a bargain! Seems a lot cheaper than Costco amd I'm pretty sure that they are on most items! Check them out . The membership Is $49 not to bad (:

Never been helped in a grocery store by so many people but it was raj that takes the cake and ends shopping at all other grocery stores he happily helped and showed me how to checkout my own groceries and walk right out the door with my cart full and no waiting sams club just killed Costco and everybody else and I got the 2 percent cash back ! That's me and my new friend raj !!

I'm a new Sam's Club member as of last month! I've had a Costco membership for years which I love, and I couldn't really justify another membership but I just wanted one so bad haha! Sam's Club membership is $45 a year compared to Costco which is now $60. The pros to Sam's Club is that you can use American Express, I hate how Costco stopped accepting it. I found a deal online (Just Google Sam's Club Membership Discount!) I got the membership for only $19.99 and it came with a free rotisserie chicken and gourmet cupcakes lol. I've been to Sam's Club now pretty much at least once or twice a week. I wish it had a gas station at the Concord location but it doesn't have one. The concession stand is pretty good, they have more stuff than Costco, here they have soft pretzels, pizza pretzels, ICEE drinks, even pre-packaged sushi! I love how Sam's Club also let's you check-out on the app! no need to wait in line at the register! Just show the QR code on your way out the door!

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT/PROMOTION First , I received a promo from mail , just a $10 off total purchase... when we got there, it was NOT honored. I even talked to the managers, with a litany of reasons just for a $10 discount, can't believe the quality of customer care and satisfaction. Second, the food court. I was trying to buy just the hotdog sandwich without the drink ( 3 SANDWICHES). The cashier , kept punching with the drink , definitely a higher price than if bought without a drink. She told me that they cannot punch for the sandwich only it has to be with a drink , I have to pay for that price and I have an option not to get the drink... The list of the prices overhead then is misleading ! It shows the price for just the hotdog etc.., means that you can purchase just the sanwich.. I know this is not much , a couple of dollars difference, but where is the integrity? This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

I've come to this location several times, always on Sunday mornings. It's a much smaller store than other Sam's Clubs but I've never had issues during my visits. No issues with parking, employee assistance, finding what I need and checkout lines. It's like a Costco but not the same, many items are unique to Sam's. The prices are pretty reasonable and you can find items on sale monthly. I wish there was a lot more Sam's Clubs in the Bay Area, don't know why there isn't more of a presence of Sam's in Northern California but alas will have to continue driving here to shop at Sam's and take advantage of my membership.

The staff working the food court was amazing. They were all working very hard, with a great attitude, friendly and on time service. Hopefully they are paid well because they did not slow down not once the hour we were eating there.

First time ever going to Sam's Club and I was surprisingly impressed. We bought a membership for $45 a year through the website and decided to try it out since it was cheap. Pros: -Plenty of close parking and it's not as packed as Costco. -they have a "scan and go" option where you can just pay through your app without waiting in line for a cashier. They also have self check out line and a drive up! -some items are cheaper than Costco such as the salad packs ,fresh corn, fruits -I like how their packaging is not huge, esp since it's just me and my husband. Less food goes to waste. - store is not crowded at all Cons: -Limited locations in Northern California

A little bigger than my usual go-to. It felt clean and oddly enough, welcoming coming through here. The setup is pretty much the same. Everything was organized by category. What I did notice is that they have products my home Sam's didn't have which, I thought, was interesting. (Supply and demand play a factor, I'm sure.) Hubbers and I scored some pretty good buys varying from pretty much all the departments: meat, frozen, seafood, toiletries, etc... (our stay-at-home made-at-home Valentine's Day dinner all hailed from here!) But one thing I noticed: customers get products from one area and decide they don't want it, so they just leave it wherever they happen to be. (I saw a lot of misplaced products everywhere.) It's even much worse when it's a frozen product and you find it in the candy aisle. (I even witnessed a Mom decide she didn't want a cutlery set anymore and just dumped it in the soap section. And she did this in front of her three kids, like what kind of example is she showing them!) I find this completely irritating. And people wonder why some prices go up. I hope Sam's have staff going around to collect these out-of-place products to return where they belong. I used the scan-and-go option, so that helped make the trip go smooth. It was a good stop overall. Hubbers and I shall return when the need comes up.

Can never reach the meat department on the phone. would've been nice to know if items are in stock before hand Instead of having to drive over wasting time and gas. No one answers the main Customer's service phone. No wonder Costco beats them in performance!

The people this place has working are about as rude as it gets.. from employees ignoring you as you ask a question to 0 commutative skills.. it's crazy how people even have jobs these days .. ESPECIALLY in a customer service driven business..

Sam's club can't seem to EVER have eggs in stock and this goes for weeks at a time. It's ridiculous because every other store within 20 miles has eggs! I have gone to my local Safeway three times in the last month because Sam's club does not have eggs so there's no need to do any other shopping there which I normally do spending $400 each time I shop so they're losing that money from me because they can't seem to keep eggs in stock. Cmon Sam's get your sh** together.

I never knew I would be a big box kinda gal. Til I realized that I could literally get enough groceries to last a month on one trip to Sams! Now this place is literally a lifesaver. I love the fact that the aisles are marked unlike other big box stores who shall remain unnamed! The checkout is quick and the quick bites to eat are good and cheap! I haven't had a bad experience yet! Knock on wood! We even scored a floor model tv for half price!

This is about the T-Mobile booth staff, Evelyn, Stephanie and Josh. I have to say, The best service ever!!! So, I bought a phone from Best Buy and was told that I can hook it up to any network. Well, that wasn't case at all. I came into Sam's thinking I could just buy a chip to go in the phone from Mint mobile, but they didn't have that. As I was walking past Evelyn asked me if she could help me with anything, so I asked her about the pre-paid phone plans by Mint. She told me that they do not carry that, but T-Mobile also has that same plan if I wanted to go through them. Of course I want with T-Mobile, I have them already for my personal (new line is for my 9-year-old daughter) but didn't want to add anything to my plan at this time. Stephanie then asked me if I had the new phone with me so she could test the network and make sure the phone worked. They did test the phone, and everything worked and was good when I left the store. When I got home it stopped working saying the phone didn't have sim card when it did. I called the next day and spoke with Josh, who by the way handled me very well considering I was upset that phone stopped working. I went down there on my lunch and Evelyn and Josh were on it when I walked in, both knew I was on lunch and figured out what the issue was right away. The phone I bought from Best Buy and told by Best buy that I could hook it with any work straight LIED! Evelyn told me to buy a phone and just put in the sim card and should it work. Well, that's what I did, and ALL IS GOOD!!! I got the new phone last night, put in the sim and it worked perfectly! Thank you, Evelyn, Stephanie and Josh, for being so helpful and nice when I was going crazy!! 10 stars for customer service!!!!! and Thanks again!!!!

I have memberships to both Sam's Club and Costco. People always ask me why. Well, parking at Sam's Club is never a problem and the ease of Self-Checkout makes shopping a breeze. Now it seems like Sam's Club has revamped their Member Services area. It's much smaller. I was in line to do a return and it took over 15 minutes. Only one member service person working and one other person in line. Sometimes I feel like there is no sense of urgency with this store. So I wait patiently for my turn. I asked the lady if I could try the Self-Serve Return machine but she said it was on but on the fritz. However, the lady showed me how I can process a return in the future. Technology I tell you. Soon enough you'll no longer need humans. You scan your item and receipt via the camera behind the tablet. Once that is verified on the screen, you just need to input the month and year your debit/credit card expires. No swiping of your card is necessary. I assume if you paid in cash you will need to be assisted by a cashier. Also, Sam's Club offers one gallon of milk instead of two in a package, like Costco. Sometimes you just don't need all that milk. Am I right? And they carry different brands which makes shopping here interesting. Service could use some help though. They aren't as friendly or efficient as Costco. But they do just enough to keep me renewing my yearly membership. Like their pepperoni pizza...there's just something about it...

Great prices! Before I purchase I always check prices at COSTCO and today Sam's prices were lower on all items. Plus they deliver to my front door. Go check prices and save money. Yes I am member of both COSTCO Concord, CA and Sam's Club.

Meh. I have been a Costco member for years. This was my first time at Sam's in many years and I am still unimpressed. I thought I would be excited to try something different. It felt more like a warehouse Walmart. Yes, it had similar deals as Costco, but it just seemed lacking. There is a Costco just 2.5 miles away so I do not see the need to revisit this store anytime soon. There were 2 saving graces... First, they had a toothpaste and an Italian seasoning I have been looking for. Second, their food court had a different selection than Costco. But I would not use either of these to rationalize a Sam's membership.

Meh... definitely not Costco. Prices higher, less merchandise and no order to the madness. Pros: Better selection of batteries than Costco. Better selection of Vending Machine supplies of candy etc. Costco has none of that. Cons: Less tools LED bulbs higher than Costco Overall less stuff than Costco Food court is a real joke. Nasty stuff compared to Costco. I have had better pizza at a truck stop. Chicken nuggets were nasty, old, burnt, not hot. Really.... no wonder no one eating vs. Costco being packed. Spent $47, never spent that little at Costco

Nice large well stocked store and also unlike Costco you can find some items not in bulk ...their freezer section is by far better than Costco's with items like king crab ...can't beat the 28 dollar choice Tomahawk steaks at the meat counter ...this store is a bit out of the way for us but worth the drive
