Staff is a hit and miss here, could be more welcoming with a smile at the front. However our waitstaff is amazing and very attentive with a lot of smile. The Food/drinks …The fish and chips is so bland had to sprinkle salt and malt vinegar for me to eat it. The fries are meeehhhh. Chicken wings on a drier side and nachoswas a hit and huge portion. I enjoyed my OUT TO SAIL cocktail (Don Q rum, Disaronno amaretto, fresh juices) was delicious. Overall it’s okay but probably during Happy Hours.

Visited here early June. Really loved this brewery and their beer selection. The patio area is also a great spot. Specially the fire pits make is so welcoming and cozy. We had great customer service and were able to taste some of their local brews. Definitely recommend this place.

Chill brewery in Ghirardelli Square. I’d give it a 5 but the gorilla chips we had were very stale. Beer was excellent and if you like smoothie sours give theirs a go it was phenomenal. I also enjoyed the Broadway IPA and the Fog Hazy IPA. Prices were above normal range but solid beer nonetheless. Bartender was great and suggested local places to eat which we always appreciate!

The fish and chips are delicious, I imagine they use their own beer in the battering process, very clean tasting, good water makes good beer. The tartar sauce is traditional, less mayo more flavor… and hard to find in San Francisco… everyone wants to do their own little twist or spin… stick to the basics, tartar sauce and cocktail…. There may not have been cocktail, but the catchup is clean… so all I would have done is ask for some malt and horse radish… but I was happy with the ketchup. Coleslaw has great texture and nice light consistency, feels healthy… I’ll ask for more next time ;) Pizza comes out thin crust, lots of toppings… we did the meat toppings., cheese was well portioned, sauce is subtle… meat was the feature and it passed the test. IPA it’s great taste, doesn’t linger, great for pairing with food. More dry and hoppy than wet and fruity. Amber is full bodied, great sweetness close to a NewCastle

This was my sister and my favorite place we stopped to hangout during our trip. Fisherman's Wharf and the Pier was overpriced and not worth it for our food preferences. Stroll a little farther and target this place instead of elbowing through the masses of tourists (though - there are plenty here too). The brewery's menu was great for us and the drinks were fantastic. Cool building and the area has other shops to explore, as well as the cool Ghirardelli sign lit up at night for a photo opportunity!

My friends and I were exploring Ghirardelli Square before heading to a Concert. My boyfriend wanted to check out this Brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. My boyfriend ordered his usual IPA beer. I ordered the Golden Gate Breeze; it was okay. The first item that caught my attention was the fried chicken sandwich because of the Cole slaw. I enjoyed my burger; all I needed was some hot sauce. My boyfriend had the SFCo Smash Burger. Service was slow, but it was a busy day. The restrooms were clean; parking is available in the parking structure. Also, SF Brewing does validate parking, so make sure you ask for that before you leave. Great place to hang out and have some drinks :)

Have to say the beer is better than the food. It may be the most popular place in Ghirardelli Square but there for sure are better places to go here. The San Francisco Brewing Company is one of the city's popular ones. Pretty expensive for beer and food even for craft. You aren't getting a good value but it's not bad though. A lot of beers to get. It's what they're known for obviously. The beer is pretty fresh because they don't make a lot at a time. Even though it's good it's pretty expensive. It's about $9 a pint. That's a lot even for a craft brewery, which are known to be ripoffs. Best one we had was the West Coast Pilsner. This is made with Czech Saaz hops lagered 5 weeks. Makes for a great complex flavor. The food is okay but expensive too. It's about $9 for the French Fries. These are one of the few vegetarian options that's not crazy pricy. A vegetarian pizza is $23, fuck. There's also salads. Good beers even though these are expensive. It's better than the food, to be honest. The food can be pretty expensive for appetizers and pizza, and there's limited choices for vegans, but has a good amount for vegetarians.

We were visiting Ghirardelli Square and wanted to grab a drink. San Francisco Brewing Co. is conveniently located right inside with a shaded patio to enjoy sitting outside. I opted for a grapefruit option and my husband tried a lager. We really liked our beers! This spot was definitely busy on the Saturday we visited but we were able to snag a patio no problem. A few people had dogs with them and there were even families. Looks like they had a great menu of food options, though we didn't try anything.

For those craving something lighter yet equally satisfying, the Cobb salad is a standout choice. Crisp romaine lettuce forms the base, adorned with succulent grilled chicken, crispy bacon, hard-boiled egg, creamy blue cheese, ripe avocado, and juicy tomatoes. But perhaps the ultimate indulgence is the cheddar bacon tots. The tots were topped with generous portions of savory bacon and melted SFBCo beer cheese, These were my favorite of the night -- cheesy, bacony goodness that leaves you craving more. As for drinks, the SFBCo old fashioned was expertly crafted. The Evan Williams bourbon lended a warm, oaky depth, while the simple syrup added a touch of sweetness that balanced perfectly with the subtle bitterness of the orange bitters. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with plenty of seating options and attentive service. Mixed reviews here. Having visited probably 100 breweries in my lifetime, I've been to a fair share of good and bad - and this was kind of disappointing strictly in terms of vibes. My husband and I were exploring San Fran and decided to stop here to grab a flight before heading to dinner. When we walked in, midday on a Wednesday, it was dead. We were the only customers. The bartender made a snarky remark when we asked for a flight, which was odd. We're in the heart of a touristy area at a brewery we've never been to before ... getting a flight doesn't seem like a bad or unusual thing? Anyway, the beer was good - two of them were hard to differentiate but all tasted good nonetheless. The seats outside were a nice way to enjoy the beautiful weather. I wouldn't rush back to this place but would probably rather get their beer to enjoy elsewhere.

Great place to grab drinks, enjoy live music, and relax. It's located towards the back of Ghirardelli Square and if you're stopping by on the weekend -- just follow the music! You'll first need to check in with the host inside in order to get seated. Outdoor seating is based off a first come first serve basis, but there's several short and long tables surrounding the plaza. Definitely appreciate the outdoor fire pits as it can get pretty chilly in the city. Large selection of beers and drinks to choose from and if you're indecisive like me -- there's a flight option! We didn't order any food but their plates looked good and generously portioned. Service was quick despite it being a large open area. Our server Eric was hustling and bustling!! He checked in with our table immediately right when we finished our drinks.

Needed something to eat before grabbing some hot chocolate at Ghirardelli and decided to stop here. Luckily we did because the Warriors game was on and I was able to catch the first half while dining. The wait time to be seated indoors wasn't too long. We stood for about 5-10 minutes before being seated. It was crowded but not overcrowded. Lots of holiday cheer between the decorations, special holiday menu and diners wearing festive attire. They have a small variety of holiday drink specials. I sampled one of the peppermint rim coated beers which tasted like chocolate. It was good but I'm not a heavy beer drinker and so I opted for the spiked hot apple cider with whiskey. You can also order this w/o hard alcohol. They also have 4 liquor choices you can add. For my meal I ordered another specialty item. They had a thinly sliced flank steak sandwich with fries. I upgraded my fries from regular to parmesan truffle and was so glad I did. They were hella good! I would definitely order those again, preferably a basket full. The sandwich was ok. Reminded me of the ones I make at home. The place was loud but also family friendly. The bathrooms are gender neutral but only 1 stall each and the sink is on the outside of the stalls. The faucet was interesting as there is soap on the left, water in the middle and an air dryer to right. All at the sink.

It's a huge lively vibrant bar with lots of tables, big screens, fire pits, great beers, indoor and outdoor seatings. It's located in Ghirardelli plaza that can be conjoined with delicious chocolates Beer collection is amazing and variant. Try fries for sure, crispy hot no oily. Bartenders were so nice and accommodating! Highly recommending.

This place is so close to being SO good. They have really cool beers on the menu and a prime location with LOTS of seating, which is often hard to come by in SF. The reason for the 2 stars is solely the service, which says a lot. The bartenders were super unfriendly - they either ignored us altogether (the place was empty) or gave us snippy remarks when we asked basic questions (questions such as "what would you recommend?", which felt extra reasonable to ask given some of the beers there are super unique, like one brewed with nerds candy). I don't need the staff to hold my hand and hug me when I walk in by any means, but it literally felt like they were trying to be unkind, which made us uncomfortable. Disappointing.

My wife was telling them about a stout float (rather than a root beer float) and they made it! They gave us 2 mini sampler size floats on the house! The Willy wonka wild berry blast sour and Ghirardelli's chocolate blonde with Ghirardelli's chocolate sauce rim were so good! Pretzel was good. Didn't get to try other items but we would definitely come back.

Beer was OK-tried a high ABV porter that was a limited edition and I found it to not be worth the rather high price tag. Loaded tater tots were also just ok-not well done enough so they fell apart when we attempted to eat them. Outdoor space is great for relaxing and people/tourist watching.

It's entirely possible that the bartenders behaved this way due to it being towards the end of a very long day. We arrive around 7:45. My friend accidentally knocks over the glass of another. Annoying? 100%. We immediately offer to pick it up. The bartender currently working decides to decline our offer, and take it a level further by coming to us and giving us an attitude when he comes to pick it up. Completely ignoring the fact we had acknowledged our friend's wrong doing and tried to rectify the situation. We also tell those cleaning it up "Thank you" and "Sorry" multiple times. When he gets back to the bar several minutes later (he took 5 minutes to do a probably 30 second task. Presumably to try and be dramatic and make everyone feel bad for him) my friend who knocked over the glass asks for a few beers for us. The gentleman immediately picks up a horrible attitude and tells us he can't serve us due to us laughing and mocking them during the process of them picking up the glass. I understand there's some mean people in the world. But laughing at you all when you're cleaning up an issue we created? Be serious. He tells us to get up and leave. This, of course, after the entire ordeal. He waited to tell us this. He then calls for back up and a gentleman with a similar attitude tells us that they don't need our money and to leave. We never suggested they needed our money. It's almost as if it's something he has saved in the back of his head for moments where he tells people to leave. We leave and they cause issues with us on the way out. Consistently chirping at us, and having their coworkers follows us out. Insane situation that we could not believe happened in the moment. Especially due to us being cordial throughout the entire process. Had never been to SF Brewing, and fortunately I know it's not a place I will waste my money at in the future. If you're looking for a mediocre bar that in that area, just walk the few extra minutes and go to Applebee's.

Loved this brewery! They have outdoor seating with some heaters and little campfires if you're cold. We sat inside and they had a pool table and shuffleboard which was fun, make sure to bring cash for those. We were helped rather quickly, and our food came out fast! Deceptive 6% FEE Beware this restaurant charges a deceptive 6% fee and if you ask to take it off they will lie to you and tell you it's required by city law. It's not. If you do eat here, do not tip on top of this fee you're also being taxed on. This is one of many restaurants that prey on the ill-informed and tourists in San Francisco. Food is super mid and over priced. The beer is good and creative though.

This place is always packed since it's right smack in the middle of the tourist area, so we skip it when we're cutting through the neighbourhood. We stopped this past weekend just to check the menu for giggles and did a double take at some of the drinks (beers and sours brewed on site). We were going to skip over it sine we were on our way somewhere else for lunch but saw a sour beer with a nerds rim and a sour licorice garnish and you know when you think "I'll come back to it and have it later" and then it disappears and you REGRET? Well we decided not to regret so we went in just for a drink. It was BUSY and hard to get our order in but this was absolutely not the fault of the employees... except to wait a bit while they're juggling orders from dozens of people. We did catch a bartender's eye and got our drink order in, and it was quickly placed in front of us (yay!) The sour beer was amazing and exactly what I was expecting (sour beer, sweet and sour nerds on the rim of the glass, and absolutely delicious bit of sour ribbon licorice, thank you very much). My partner got a strange dark beer that tasted like coffee and he thought it was really good. It's loud and there's sportsball on the tv, but if you're looking for some good beers and don't mind how crowded and busy this place can get, it's worth it to stop in.

I recently enjoyed the marzen during the Oktoberfest, and it was absolutely perfect for me. The balance of flavors was spot-on, with a nice acidity that reminded me of the acidity found in a fruity light roast coffee--refreshing but not sour. The subtle caramel notes were sweet, and combined beautifully with the acidity that reminded me of a candy apple. It struck a wonderful balance, allowing the flavors to shine through without being overly sweet or bitter. It's definitely a beer that I wish was available year round.

We stopped in here on our last trip to San Francisco and we only got drinks, so I can't comment on the quality of the food. It was surprisingly quiet when we came, so we got served right away and we had very good service overall. The beer was unfortunately just middle of the road and it wasn't our favorite by any means. It's located in a good area and the food looks decent, so it's probably a good option if you're in the area and need some sustenance, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the beer.

Came here around 1pm on Saturday and sat in their lower patio. The lower patio is QR code service only so you order from your iPhone. The place is cute and they had live music and heaters. I appreciated that their food runners were kind and offered to turn the heaters on for us! Pepperoni pizza: good pepperoni but the middle of the pizza was super soggy and greasy - I wouldn't get this again Cheddar Bacon Tots: this was the star of the show. I loved the crispy bacon and beer cheese that topped the tots! I would definitely get this again!

This is a great place with an outside and inside sitting area. The drinks are good and the ambience is wonderful. We order the mussels which where so flavorful , with that high expectation we were eager to try the clam chowder I mean it's San Francisco that should be one of the top items in their menu. The location is conveniently in Ghirardelli Square, so it's a good spot to sit and drink after exploring Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Upon arriving, we were nicely welcomed and seated right away. Our server was very nice and gave suggestions on what to order from the menu for both food and drinks. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Imperial Stout was delicious, though I do think the presentation could've been a little better. The Marina Blonde Ale was light and crisp. But the French Fries with White Truffle Parmesan were amazing and a good pick me up snack in between lunch and dinner. Although the drinks were great, I do wish that the flight selection wasn't limited to a list. The ambiance is lively, with some fun activities to do such as pool and other games around the brewery. It doesn't get too crowded, and there's plenty of space for everyone to enjoy company and a good time

My boyfriend and I went here and it was really good! Best spinach dip I've ever tasted. We got the soup of the day, which I think was a broccoli cheddar soup. My boyfriend had an upset stomach, and that helped him feel better. Service was definitely different from other restaurants. We self served our own waters and got our own utensils and plates. We also had to put our card on hold to the waiter right when we got seated because they've been having issues with customers dining and dashing. It's understandable, though, so we had no issue with that. Ambiance was really nice. We sat outside because it was nice outside, and it was a great atmosphere. Would recommend to those visiting Ghirardelli Square!

We popped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon and found plenty of empty tables both inside and out. Folks were enjoying the sunny afternoon outside but we opted to eat inside near the cool dark wood bar. They have shuffleboard and pool tables too. The food was delicious! We had the artichoke dip and split the steak sandwich. The steak was so tender and tasty! My partner very much enjoyed her Strawberry Dream cocktail and the beer was quite good too. I had the chocolate peanut butter stout that comes with a "deep fried Twinkie" as a garnish. But I don't think that's an apt description as it was more like a funnel cake type dough with a yummy cream inside - way better than I expected!! I'll have to return to try the sours as they were out at that time.

Great place for food and beer. It's in Ghirardeli square, so lots of tourists and it's always busy. We still end up going there once in a while since the beers are great, service is friendly and food is pretty good. They also have live music during summer afternoons. Parking is a bit crazy, and expensive but that is expected given the location

Visiting San Francisco and while the other family members were napping, my daughter and I decided to take a walk and stopped in for a beer. It was around 3pm on a Friday and not very crowded. We took a seat at the bar. There were maybe 3 or 4 other guests so not busy considering they had 3 bartenders. Not once did anyone acknowledge or even say that they would be over in minute. They definitely saw us. We waited about 10-15minutes and a group of 4 people came in and were immediately greeted and served. I can't believe the service or rudeness. Definitely would not recommend to anyone else visiting. I am sure they will continue to serve people and be rude to whom ever they choose.

Surprisingly quick and delicious service for being in Ghirardelli Square. We were seated immediately. Granted we wanted to sit inside. I'd expect a wait for outdoor seating. The strawberry dreams cocktail was perfect. The fresh strawberry purée adds the perfect amount of sweetness. The pretzel which is one of the few signature items they have was a big sad. It tastes okay, but it was only half a pretzel considering the other half was thinner than a pencil. The fish tacos were so fresh and yummy I'd definitely get it again. The fried chicken sandwich, also another signature item, was average. Another unremarkable signature item. Overall, it was quick and filling. I'd say it's worth a try.
