These Bay Area Artists Marry Flowers and Food to Produce Stunning Edible Art | Eater SF

"I learned that the San Francisco Flower Market is a key source for florists like Pearl Holmes, supplying many of the seasonal blooms she pairs with fruits and vegetables as a sustainable alternative to floral foam. That sourcing feeds Holmes’s love of arranging whole tablescapes—treating food and florals as one unified arrangement—and results in whimsical centerpieces (pale, cut potatoes holding colorful buttercups or tropical “fantastical” tablescapes of sugarcane, papaya, ginger and anthuriums) that excite people by presenting everyday fruits and vegetables in a new, artful way." - Flora Tsapovsky

Google
It was absolutely worth discovering this place—they have a beautiful variety of flowers to choose from. The shop has such a great vibe, and everything smells amazing. My lady loved the bouquet, and the customer service was excellent—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We will definitely be going back again. Highly recommend 👍🌸

Google
Great experience going in and shopping around. Great selection of flowers and anything else you may need like vases, wrapping paper, ribbons, etc. Prices ranged from $5-20 per flower pack. Prices were not visibly displayed so you need to ask someone prices at each place which is kind of annoying but still a fun shopping experience!

Google
My jaw dropped when I entered their new location because tell me how, in San Francisco, we have the largest wholesale flower market in Northern California. They really outdone themselves with the space! First of all, to enter, you need to come through the parking garage on the Mississippi entrance. If you have a car, they do have a paid parking garage you can park at. Walk to the very back to find the entrance. They have public hours and badge-member only hours: Public Hours Monday : Closed Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 8am-2pm Thursday: 8am-2pm Friday: 8am-2pm Saturday: 8am-2pm Sunday: Closed Wholesale Badge Hours Monday : 6am-12pm Tuesday: 4am-12pm Wednesday: 4am-12pm Thursday: 5am-12pm Friday: 5am-12pm Saturday: 6am-11am Sunday: Closed Just to note: you need to be a small business owner or be with an organization to even apply for a badge ($175/year). When you walk in, it smells so heavenly. I honestly haven't been inside a building that smells so good before and they have hundreds of thousands of flowers! And also tools for flower arrangements, pots, etc. There are even huge refrigeration units you can walk into if you're looking for plants that are more sensitive to their environment (i.e tropical plants). And don't forget the upstairs! They don't have all their vendors yet, but when I went, there was a whole section for houseplants (including air plants!) and also a whole corner for orchids. I bought myself a beautiful orange orchid I never see at grocery stores and it was pretty tall too! For $20. I'll definitely be back here again!

Google
Great place to get fresh flowers. I came by to get a flower necklace (lei) for a graduation. The boxed leis are $35 and another merchant had non-boxed leis for $28. The selection between each stand is huge. We ended up getting a few bouquet of cut flowers also. Gerbera daisies were $10 a bunch and a tropical flowers bouquet was $15. Parking was $1.50 for every 15 mins.

Google
Sooo…heard a lot of negativity about the new location for the San Francisco Flower Market and I am glad to say they were all wrong!!! Beautiful location, easy parking and WOW the foower selection! Everything you need to have an amazing floral event, from wedding to birthday to random pick me up arrangement! As a flower grower I love seeing our end product in display and watching people’s reactions as they put it on their cart!…open to the public most days after 8am!.::if you visit San Francisco this is a must stop on your list! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Google
I went here to get flowers for my son who was going to ask his girlfriend to the prom. I was able to get exactly what we want and more and the folks there are very friendly. It's nice to support regional farms in our area directly. Aunt, overall the experience was outstanding. They have parking there for fee, and the directions are pretty easy to get there. I was in and out in about 15 minutes because I knew what I wanted but you could probably get pretty lost there. There. Are lots and lots of different stalls. They will wrap the flowers up for you but they don't have water containers or anything. So if you're driving from a long ways away, bring some water and a container or bucket for yourself.

Google
Quite the selection of flowers! Just a few examples in my pictures here. There is paid covered parking on site and free parking when available on nearby streets. Just a note: There are many separate vendors inside and some were closed by noon on Saturday, though the market is open till 2.

Ebed M.

Google
It is such a beautiful place and the flowers are very fresh and the prices vary a lot as long as one arrives at 5 in the morning Only with those that have a license after 8 in the morning it is already open to the public

Yelp
There are no prices posted, and the vendors act offended when you try to negotiate, which is rather hypocritical since they charge people different prices. I asked for pricing on a 5-stem bunch of peonies, and the vendor dithered a bit, acted surprised, then said, $19. I asked her to repeat herself, and she again said $19, to which the friend she was talking with blurted to her, "GOOD FOR YOU!" as if to congratulate the vendor friend for asking for such inflated prices. I offered $10, and the vendor said, "that is ridiculous." I said thank you and left. I went to Trader Joe's and got a 5-stem peony bouquet for $9.

Yelp
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! -- The new location that opened in January is stunning. So fitting for all of the dedicated floral sales persons who are helpful and nice. The range of options can be quite overwhelming. Unlike their former location on Brannan; this new state-of-the-art location boasts better parking, great ease for large scale purchases and even more organization among multiple sellers! Each provides great pricing for customers- whether you're a wholesale badge holder, or if you're just a regular-degular like me who's just trying to source inspiration. I've attached photos and a video to give you a sense of the vast collection- if you've never gone to the SF Flower Market, it's a must see and overloaded with amazing buys and so much beauty. A must see for all Bay Area natives.

Yelp
The Flower Mart just opened near my house, and I was so excited to visit their grand opening! It's the largest flower market in NorCal, with a huge selection of flowers downstairs and plants/orchids upstairs. The quality was incredible--healthy, huge, and stunning. The prices were super affordable too, with single-stem orchids starting at $16, two-stem at $20, and specialty orchids around $25. I ended up buying six gorgeous orchids for just about $100, which is an amazing deal compared to the $170+ you'd pay for a large arrangement at a grocery store. Parking in the garage is $5, so I recommend finding street parking if possible. The customer service could've been more welcoming, but the incredible selection and prices make it worth visiting. They also sell pots, but you might find better options online. I'll definitely be back regularly for orchids and to explore their flower selection to create my own arrangements. Highly recommend for affordable, beautiful flowers!

Yelp
This place is amazing! There are a lot of vendors selling all kinds of flowers and plants for a great price. We bought lillies and calls lily for under $25! They gave us a generous amount as well. I would definitely go back for their orchid plants which was under $10 for a big one.

Yelp
Flower market who is open to vendors early in the morning and regular people later in the day. However, try to get there early as most places close by 12 or 1pm. They have so many different types of flowers (some unique ones I've never seen before either!), plants and pots for sale! Prices aren't really posted but feel free to ask how much things are! The vendors are super nice.

Yelp
AVOID MIGUEL FLOWERS!!! Brides, BEWARE of Miguel Flowers! He absolutely ruined my wedding. I placed my order last week and even tried to confirm the day before -- no answer. I drove over an HOUR to pick up my flowers only to find out he never prepared them. My wedding is TOMORROW and I'm left with nothing because of his negligence. This isn't just unprofessional, it's devastating. Don't risk your special day -- Miguel Flowers cannot be trusted.

Yelp
I always love this place. The location has changed and it seems alot smaller but you can still find what you're looking for here. Everyone is friendly and it's always a vibe.

Yelp
This negative review is for Rafas Wholesale Flowers. I bought two bundles, a bundle of babys breath and some roses. When I checked out, the young worker rung up $37 and the line item being "custom item." I asked for an itemized invoice detailing each bundle and he suddenly dropped the price to $32.
google avatar

Vickie C.

Yelp
I wish they've a parking pay station upstairs so that shoppers dont need to repark to pay and exit the garage. Otherwise its a nice new flowermarket i hope more shops will open up.
google avatar

Pam L.

Yelp
This place is nice and new but I prefer the old location better. There aren't any prices at most stalls here and the orchids and plants are much more expensive than before. I came the day after Valentine's Day and a lot of the flowers were picked over and not the best quality. I will definitely come back during the summer to see if the selection and quality improves.
google avatar

Theya H.

Yelp
The new San Francisco flower market is smaller but still great. There's a great selection of flowers, plants and all things related to the two.

Joelene C.

Yelp
Best prices in town on graduation leis (half of what my local florists were charging), and it stayed fresh for days. Great selection!

Yelp
This is the best place to buy flowers in the bay area. Definitely get there before 10 am as they close at 11 am, well most of the vendors are packing up. There is so much to choose from and we purchased fresh roses that have a nice wonderful fragrance for $30. I was also able to get honeysuckle starter and some Peonies!!! I also picked up some cool driftwood for an aquarium as well as some succulents. I will definitely be back as the selection of Flowers was amazing. You do have to pay for parking but it is really convenient.

Yelp
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS 1 STAR REVIEW IS FOR RAFAS WHOLESALE FLOWERS ONLY!!!!** I was so excited to visit the new SF Flower Market location, I have been waiting to come here for a while. When I parked my car, as I started walking towards the entrance all I could smell was flowers! It was so refreshing! I was surprised at how huge this place was- it was basically like a Costco for flowers, every flower lovers dream! There are so many vendors, with such a huge selection of flowers - many varieties and also colors that you wouldn't be able to find at the store. Unfortunately I was feeling a little under the weather when I came here so I had to cut my visit here short, but not without buying some something of course! First, I purchased a beautiful blue glass vase from the Mt. Eden Floral Company boutique for only $8! it is beautiful, and now one of my favorite vases. Now fast forward to my unpleasant experience with RAFAS WHOLESALE - I have been really into Ranunculus lately, and saw that they had some beautiful colors available. Since they were close by the exit door, I decided to just buy from them. I chose two bouquets because one wasn't enough. When it was time to check out, the guy doesn't seem to be in a good mood - he was rude, didn't even say hello, and body language was just weird. I get it, people have bad days but don't take that out on your customers? The first thing he asked was "do you need a receipt?" I said no, and then he says "ok your total is $32." In my head, I'm like $32 for 2 small bunches of Ranunculus that I could easily get at Trader Joes for literally half the price? Like I said, I was feeling under the weather and just wanted to get out of there, so I just paid and left. I knew something wasn't right, so once I got home I looked the bouquets, and there were handwritten price stickers on them. One of them was supposed to be $9, and the other one was supposed to be $7, which totals $16. So basically he just charged me DOUBLE what I was supposed to pay!!! I'm so glad I paid with my debit card, because once I realized I was overcharged I immediately called my bank and disputed the transaction. I ended up getting my money back right away! This was a very unpleasant first time experience at the new location - shady vendors who overcharge customers are a big no no. Imagine trying to cheat someone out of a few dollars, only to have that money you tried to cheat me out of be returned back to me. Not only did you lose a potential returning customer (not anymore LOL), but you also just lost some business out of your own pocket. Thanks for the free flowers tho :) ! Beware/ stay away from the RAFAS WHOLESALE FLOWER vendor at all costs! If Dishonest vendors are not to be trusted, nor should they deserve business from innocent customers. FYI guys there are PLENTY of other vendors with much nicer flowers, who I'm sure do not try to cheat customers!!!!

Kayla S.

Yelp
I work directly across the street from the flower mart and am delighted with its opening. I've been a few times and it's a great atmosphere with a wide variety of vendors. Unfortunately my opinion about its operation has been tainted due to an encounter I had with Elizabeth the operator. She was extremely rude and kept interrupting me when I called with a few questions about the parking situation. I was not asking for any special treatment or changes, but simply inquiry about the parking situation, so the attitude was completely unnecessary.

Yelp
The San Francisco Flower Market is my all time favorite spot in the bay to buy unique and vibrant flowers to make my own bouquets for special occasions or to make my day! The shop owners/floral community is so sweet and always welcoming. Though more expensive for someone without a wholesale license, still reasonable for piecing together a bouquet of your own liking.
google avatar

Wanda W.

Yelp
Fast and great variety of flowers for any event! Especially if you are looking for single orchids or leis.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
If you love plants, come here! There are so many vendors to choose from, I can stay here for hours I try to go weekly if I can. Current hours open to the public are Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings, around 11-1pm. If you're a card member, you have more hours available to you. I'd check the website to confirm because covid regulations keep changing. Check out my beautiful baby plants below! They've grown a bit now and I still love them like the day I got them. The shop owner was very knowledgeable and friendly, like all of them are! They also came out a reasonable price thanks to wholesale plants

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Best quality flowers, good selection, prices may seem high if you buy grocery flowers, but non- commercial folks can do really well here as well. I have friends who split their purchases (you get many more flowers per bunch most people need.)
google avatar

Yelp
Anything for mom! Well.. a fresh bouquet and a fresh flower lei for mom form Soma Flowers. Anyone else's mom say "don't get me anything", then when you get them something they say "why did you spend your money", then the next day she's asking for all the photos you took of her so she can flex on FB? My mom too :) Kinda frantically drove to the flower mart (paid $3 parking), and ran into Soma Flowers after trying to find anyone that had fresh flower leis. This was so much harder than I thought, but I realize we're not in graduation season so.. Check the hours before you go because the flower mart isn't always open to the public. It's mainly businesses buying wholesale, but when the public can check it out on the weekends, it's like a candy store filled with all the plants and flowers you can think of. The ladies at Soma Flowers were so nice that they even threw on a stem of orchids into the bouquet saying "be nice to mom!" My mom loved the flowers and kept the flower lei for days.

Yelp
San Francisco Flower Market is solid. I went here recently to get my girlfriend a dozen roses. Lots of variety and good price. Besides flowers there are many places to pick up houseplants from succulents to cactus to everything in between. Recommended!
google avatar

Kristy L.

Yelp
Visiting the SF flower market has been on my bucket list forever! I came on a Saturday to purchase some flowers as a gift. Prices are very reasonable and all the flowers are all fresh. I purchased 24 stems of roses for $29 bucks! Quality and variety of flower selection is way better than what you would find at a local grocery store. The only trade off is you only get multiple of one kind. If you're trying to get an arrangement of flowers you'll have to purchase more flowers and arrange yourselves. Although there were maybe 1-2 places that had prearranged sets. Aside from flowers you can also purchase succulents and indoor plants. I purchased a mother in laws tongue plant for my house. The salesperson was super nice and have some tips on how to keep there plenty alive. Note, the market is only open to the public during certain hours. Certain stores only sell to cardholders as well.

Yelp
First time coming here to the flower market, and I love it! Although the guys that work there were not friendly, I asked a question in one of the shops, and he was so dry with no customer service. I want to come again and definitely learn how to shop around and where you get the best deal.
google avatar

X G.

Yelp
Came here in April 2021. Lots of rannuculus, ranging from $7-$15. Very beautiful. Suggestion: visit all the stores before making a purchase.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was so great!!! Went for my first time on a Saturday at 8:45am. There were definitely "enough" stalls that were open. So many flowers and plants to choose from. Definitely coming back, especially next time I'm hosting a party. Great floral variety!!!

Megan ..

Yelp
Wow! Someone recommended this place to me to get a lot of flowers at a good deal. When we first got there, we were a little confused as to where to go. But once we figured it out, it's amazing!!! So many flowers to choose from at great prices. Going to come here the day before my wedding to make all the center pieces so happy I found this place!
google avatar

Yelp
As of my rule of thumbs. If you want to get anything fresh. Get the fuck up early and choices are likely will be more. Don't get the hell out here at 11 am or 12 and bitch about why their fresh flowers are gone or why some vendors are already closed. They been here since 4 am opening for most flowers shop to shop before public. Also don't expect to hackle them for cheaper price when the vendors are already sale their flowers semi reasonable price. I mean I went to a retail florist on Union(Name is out since somebody is complaining) so you guys are gonna have to play guessing game. Tip: Go to BudStop. No matter how long is the line. Do not grow different plan because that's how I got in to this mess. What a waste of valuable time and money which by the way I never ask for a refund once!!! My own fault for walking in that mess. A shitty $128 bouquet that looks more like a 40 dollars bouquet....smh. I mean Trader Joe's have better selection of bouquets.Three times marked up is normal by the way. So yeah...I am going to stick with wholesale from now on or Budstop if I have no choice. I normally come here at 8 or 9 while their selection still in abundance. I know most of my favorite vendors and they recognize me. A friend works there so I got some insight. Sometimes I buy most of my flowers like big roses like David Austin cabbage roses, ocean song and some small like angel roses. I love lilies like Stargazer, Casa Blanca and some choices need to be seen throughout since not every week the lilies are the same as the week before. From what Stephanie told me that their prices ranging from 24 to 30 on most lilies and for roses I mentioned that is around 27 to 40 but that's special roses. Normal roses are from 18 to 24. Peonies are expensive out here in the west coast but not as expensive as what (once again you guys are shit out of luck with name) charged. Can you believe 18 for a stem? That's 90 for five stems with the marked up. Normally it's 18 bucks to 25 for five stems. Beautiful choices here but some week I came late and get whatever is left. I made sure that I walk around just enough to know what are my choices throughout before spending(also stephanie's advice). I do love that there are old men and some training young men working here. Some are grumpy as an old bat but shit if I have Karens bugging and hackles me all morning. I will be grumpy by noon too. They like ppl that smiles and down to earth. Not snobby person that buy things from them carrying around Fendi/Gucci/Prada purse and hackle them for what is already cheap in comparison to their fashion pieces. Speak to them like you would anyone and maybe you won't get attitude back. Keep that on Union or chestnut street. Places like this with hard working ppl. They don't need your shit.

Yelp
I prefer this location over Oakland, California. However since the flower market in Oakland is much closer to my home I would there if I am on a time limit. I come to this specific market to purchase graduation leis if I am unable to make them myself due to my hectic schedule. So for those who need a last minute graduation lei I would recommend this flower market! If you are also in need of other flowers to create a specific arrangement I would recommend coming here. Prices are reasonable. I would come in the morning because parking is limited. You may have to pay for parking as well before entering the parking lot.

Yelp
I was looking to DIY my wedding bouquet and flowers in March. The SF Flower Market was highly recommended to me by my Day-of-Coordinator and I am so glad I chose to go here for my flowers. The market is easy to find and plenty of free street parking is available at 8am in the morning. I got my flowers from North Bay Farm (lavender hoary stock, lavender alstroemeria), Piazza Wholesale LLC (white spiral roses), and Ortiz Wholesale Flowers (purple hoary stock, million star baby's breath). The vendors were all kind and open to answering any questions I had. When I mentioned to Ortiz that I was getting flowers to arrange for my own wedding, he kindly gifted me pink daisies and white spray roses, which ended being beautiful additions to my centerpieces and bouquet! I bought the flowers two days before my wedding and left them to take in water overnight before making the floral arrangements. They held up very well and opened up beautifully by the wedding day. SF Flower Market was affordable and had a huge selection of quality flowers to pick from. For bulk purchases, I suggest coming right when the market opens to the public (8am) and having researched what flowers you are interested in getting. I highly recommend SF Flower Market, whether you're DIYing for a special event or want to pick up flowers for a small occasion.
google avatar

Stephy L.

Yelp
Open to the public after 8am, we went to pick up some last minute florals for our wedding. The market has lots of different options but might be a little bit pricey for non-trade folks, which was fine because we wanted to pick flowers that were the right type and color since most markets have a limited selection.
google avatar

Yelp
My go to place for plants and planters! Last year I bought a birds of paradise here and now it's 7 feet tall! Great selection of succulents at multiple vendors: Most vendors have signs with the wholesale price and the retail price. For example, I bought a ZZ plant today. Whole sale price was $6.00 and retail price was $12.00.

Joonier Y.

Yelp
Amazing selection , great price, fun to browse all of the many varieties that I haven't even seen before ! Everyone that we interacted with was very nice and polite
google avatar

Corina M.

Yelp
Great idea but flowers are in poor shape at many vendors!Parking lot always a problem and schedule very short. They closed so early and we can't count on them when we wed to. We always need to have other options during the day if someone call last minute. Thank God we have contract with other local vendors. Not a really good experience, some vendors tried to take advantage of you and charge more.Just be careful.

Yelp
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. One of my favorite places ever. I've been a few times but each time it gets better and better. Weekends tend to be the times I go and I've heard less vendors are open so I can't imagine what it looks like on a weekday. Based off my experiences, I feel like the best time to go on a Saturday is 8am-11am in terms of least crowed and most vendors open. Sundays start a little slower and overall have less vendors so 9am-11am is better. The variety of flowers is unmatched. You can find anything from simple house flowers, to wedding/party flowers, to supplies needed for florists. Parking can be really difficult if you don't have a vendor badge. I've seen people get ticketed at 7am for parking on the street right outside the market so just beware!
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Such a lovely place to stroll around if you just want to be around flowers and pick up some for your home or it's also really handy for buying flowers if you need to make a bouquet for wedding or event. All the vendors we talked to were helpful and kind. Lots of different vendors selling flowers and also vendors selling supplies for making bouquets or arrangements. Parking is available and I love that there's no entrance fee unlike the flower market in LA
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
SF Flower Mart is AMAZING. I work in Soma and walked over on a recent weekday to buy myself some flowers. Wow. Even though half of the vendors were closed, there was still plenty to choose from and the flowers were beautiful! The prices are super affordable - I was surprised by how little I spent. Additionally, the Flower Mart smells wonderful. Even if you aren't looking to buy flowers/plants, it is truly a peaceful place to wander through! I will definitely return.
google avatar

Catarina M.

Yelp
I basically live here. Love coming here to buy flowers for friend or my home a lot better pricing than a florist. There's so many vendors to choose from walk around each warehouse for all your flower and plants needs. Make sure you check public hours they vary and limited. All other times is for badge holders only.
google avatar

Haylee A.

Yelp
So "wholesale" is important to remember when going here. It's not like a typical farmers market where ready-made bouquets are there for you to buy. It's more like a place to go when you want a certain flower in bulk, or need to make multiple bouquets. I wasn't aware of that, BUT it is super cheap ($5 for one bunch of flowers) and has a pretty good variety to choose from. I wish the flowers were kept a little more fresh, but I guess I can't complain for $5.

Aliyah G.

Yelp
My go to place for flowers the most gorgeous flower selection in the Bay Area. I wish hey were open Sundays though
google avatar

Mehrnaz H.

Yelp
My first time to flower mart, it is a beautiful place. But I was surprised that by 11:30AM so many places were already closed as they sell out all the fresh flowers for the day!! We still were able to get some good cut flowers at great prices. I was just surprised how the potted orchids were not reasonable compared to what I would buy outside. Also if you don't have a wholesaler badge, expect to pay about a 30-40% more at some of the shops. All together, a beautiful place to visit if you love flowers. Must try earlier next time.
google avatar

Alessandra T.

Yelp
I just want to buy everything when i come here! It's literally heaven. So much Beauty and i never want to leave.
google avatar

Lucia R.

Yelp
Caught them just as everyone was closing but luckily I found someone to make me a beautiful wildflower bouquet. Then I decided to pick up a "cheap" vase, which looked great and would have been three times what I would have paid retail. I would definitely go back again.
google avatar

Krishna ..

Yelp
One of the only SF landmarks thats alive! Still struggling to survive due to covid! So many vendors left! Help save this place! Its awesome support local !
google avatar

Anju J.

Yelp
Wanted to make some decorations at home for a festival and decided to check out the Flower mart. I went around noon and was fearing that most shops will be closed as other reviewers had mentioned, however to my relief 2-3 shops with a lot of variety of flowers were open. I was able to buy 2 dozen roses + 3 other kinds of flowers (a dozen each) for $35. The flowers were fresh and smelled so good. Parking was $1.5 for every 15 mins. They were taking preorders for Christmas and you can get a discount by ordering early!

Yelp
Don't waste money going to a florist! The San Francisco Flower Mart has many wholesale vendors and you will be impressed by the prices. I was on a mission to put together a few arrangements for our condo and a bridal bouquet. The SF Flower Mart did not disappoint! I bought 6 full bouquets of various flowers and greenery for $58. The same amount of hydrangeas alone would have cost that much at any florist. I am so pleased with the selection and variety! Vendors were friendly and accommodating. I am excited to go back for fresh flowers soon!

Yelp
I never knew that the flower mart existed. My friend took me here and I walked away with a orchid plant. Flowers are sold at wholesale cost. So much fun! I heard that if you have a wedding or funeral, or whatever, this is the best place to order your flowers from. They do have a parking lot, looks like it costs money? I don't know, we walked in.

Yelp
How did I not know about this little mall of greenery? Well I didn't, but now I do and it's pretty cool. The hours are kind of weird (earlier the better on weekends), but the prices aren't. You can get fresh cut flowers at cut rate prices, but I was here for the plants. Great selection and you can browse dozens of growers in one place. Since it was my first time, I tried to control myself and allowed the purchase of just a single tree. I'll have to go back for more, the four pockey-like sticks of my mangrove tree haven't quite satisfied my desire for green.

Yelp
This is like the flea market of flowers! We were in town for my Sister-in-Law's wedding and this is where she chose to do her shopping for her centerpieces, bridesmaids bouquets, and groomsman's boutonnieres. Flowers come from all over the world and are in many different shapes, colors, forms, and sizes. Some I was familiar with, some I haven't even seen before. It also helps if you speak the vendor's language(Chinese and Hispanic peeps got sweet deals) to knock a few bucks off your purchase. Know Before You Go: Hours: 10am-2pm, unless you got a wholesaler's badge, you have better hours to shop, sweeter selections, and don't have to pay for parking Peruse before purchasing: Look around, as vendors have similar flowers which may be better in quality and/or cheaper in price. Bargain and Barter: You'll never know unless you ask, we managed to save some money and the worse they could say is "no" Although they have a wide assortment, the more seasonal rare varieties need to be ordered WAAAY in advance. We picked up a seasonal white orchid that vendors only carry on occasion. Buckets and Jugs: a MUST if you're transporting flowers...We needed to drive back to Suisun, so have the vendor snip the stem ends, fill your gallon jugs and fill buckets enough so that the stems are submerged. This is a sweet place in the city for all your floral needs.....ALOHA!!!
