Happening sports bar offering drinks & American staples in a convivial, TV-enhanced environment.
"New Bar, a Los Angeles-based booze-free bar, is opening at 2181A Union Street by the end of March. The bar will offer daily tastings of 40 to 50 nonalcoholic drinks. Founder and CEO Brianda Gonzalez mentioned that a significant number of their customers are from San Francisco, making the expansion logical." - Paolo Bicchieri
"They’ve been open since 1934, though we suspect the throngs of 49ers fans showed up later. Like its name implies, the San Francisco Saloon always has plenty of Bay Area transplants at the bar, but this lively sports bar is a guaranteed good time no matter what team you root for." - Kat Hong, James Montgomery
"We’re not sure what it is about this part of town and bars for LA’s biggest rivals, but San Francisco Saloon is a spot for all things 49ers, Warriors, and Giants. It’s a big, dark bar on Pico that, outside of game times (when the Saloon basically becomes the Bay Area), is a neighborhood spot that plays ’80s rock, serves a solid burger, and has affordable prices that you don’t often see in LA. Sit at the bar, get a burger and a beer, and chat with the bartender about what this part of Pico was like in 1988. There’s also a parking lot out back, which is always a plus." - Brett Keating
