The 17 Best Pizza Spots In Rome 2024

"San Martino makes a pizza called Super Mary that will turn you into an anchovy evangelist and haunt your dreams the second you leave Rome. It has an ultra-thin crust slathered in tangy tomato sauce and comes topped with briny anchovies, parsley, oregano, and pickled peppers that burst with sweetness. If anchovies aren't your thing, try the 3 Pomodori + 1 pizza: a classic Roman-style crust layered with creamy fior di latte cheese from the mountains, four types of tomatoes—naked, preserved, semi-dried, and reduced—and topped with dots of basil cream. As the name of the restaurant suggests, consider pairing your pizza with a glass of bubbly (bolle) while dining outside on the tree-lined corner. " - annie replogle

We've had the best time at this restaurant. Somewhat hidden in an unpopular part of the city, you'll find this modern restaurant where locals come to spend time together while enjoying great Italian dishes. Service great too! We got to try traditional after-dinner drinks.

This occupies a corner site with a good number of inside and outside tables though many seemed to be reserved. Staff are young and were keen to suggest more than I had ordered. I had a tasty selection of starters rather than a pizza and I didn't realise the caponata came in a bun. Other diners' pizzas looked very thin with a crispy very well cooked base. Prices add up so with water, dessert, a glass of wine and coffee my bill came to 34 euros. It's popular and there was nothing particularly wrong but not my kind of place.

The food was absolutely delicious, and our waiter, Alessio, was both wonderful and incredibly helpful.

My partner did a lot of research to find the best places in Rome to get romana style pizza, as we wanted to avoid the usual tourist traps. He found this place was mentioned a lot and so we travelled from where we were staying in central Rome. It was worth every minute of the journey, the pizza was so so good - thin base, crispy slightly charred crust and generous toppings. The service was also really good and quick despite how busy the restaurant was. My partner said this was the best pizza he had ever had - I wouldn't go quite that far, but still agree it was amazing and definitely up there in my top 5. We definitely wouldn't hesitate to come back here if we ever come back to Rome.

Really nice pizzeria in Rome if you want to try Pizza Romana. Be warned this pizza place brings it to an extreme with the thinnest pizza crust I have ever tried. The result is delicious and definetly recommended if you are a fan of Pizza Romana that is crunchy. The fritti were also really good with Supplì al ragu and Supplì with tomato highly recommended! Interesting experience in Rome to try if you are around the area!
