Sanaa - Review - Animal Kingdom Lodge - Orlando - The Infatuation

"There are several iconic foods across Disney World: the Mickey pretzel, Dole Whip, and of course, the bread service from Sanaa. If the views of the giraffes and zebras grazing in the Savannah outside of your window weren’t enough to win you over, the dizzying number of sauces and freshly baked breads will do the trick. This restaurant is best during the day when you can fully enjoy the wild view, so try and snag a spot for lunch or an early dinner." - Jacqueline Dole

We were here with a large group of seven children and teenagers and five adults. We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We came here because we're not visiting Disney and wanted to allow the kids to see the animals while we enjoy dinner. This is hands down one of the best experiences we have dining in Orlando. The reservations and the staff are well organized, and there was a nice musical demonstration right before the start of dinner at 5:00 p.m. we were seated probably once the majority of guests arrived and our service were extremely attentive and helpful in helping us appropriately choose our appetizers, main courses and desserts. Do try to South African red wines, they are fantastic. Note that the breads and dipping sauces come with free refills. The portions were good and we felt the price point was very fair given that this is a Disney restaurant and the unique environment with the animals. Highly recommended!

Google
Sanaa was a truly incredible experience. Our server Jonathan was on top of our every need. He had great recommendations and the food was amazing. And we could see some of the animals from our table which made a truly unique experience! We were delighted to hear the bread service we'd heard so much about had a gluten free option. The sauce for the Butter Chicken was so happy to have the naan to get it all. The giraffe cake was beautifully presented and tasted great too. This was our favorite meal on Disney properties we've had all week!

Google
Had a larger party and we offered the communal table which was perfect as ended up being seated immediately and no one else sat with us Our server Sumner was very friendly, super knowledgeable about the menu and was attentive She made our experience a 10 out of 10 and the food was excellent! Still Thinking about the bread service and short ribs!

Google
Beautiful place, but you definitely need a reservation. The bread platter was delicious. I just wished the server didn’t speak so fast, we didn’t catch the names of the sauces or types of naan. But braised beef was great. The butter chicken is very salty. The samosas were spot on. Definitely worth checking out. $$110 for two people

Google
I cannot say enough good things about Sanaa. ( Get the bread service ). The dining room is gorgeous and the seats by the windows offer a truly unique dining experience, especially if one of the Cranes decides to hang out right outside the window. ( Get the bread service ). We have eaten her many times over the years and have never been disappointed with anything on the menu. ( Get the bread service ). We are already planning our next trip and Sanaa is definitely one of our top choices to go back to. If I haven't mentioned it, I highly recommend trying the bread service.

Google
Rare bad review. The naan breads were very good. After that, all downhill. The vegetarian dishes was extremely salty. The butter chicken was blandish. The seafood tasted like it had gone rotten. Really nasty aftertaste. The lentils in one dish seemed undercooked too. Saving grace as the service. Excellent service and they comped the bad meals. Thank goodness.

Google
Wonderful restaurant with good Indian food and a must try bread service. The butter chicken and fish entree are excellent and their options for kids are good. The views into the safari are a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Google
Just one more 5 star review for Sanaa. Honestly I wasn’t super excited when my wife told me she made a reservation here. Looking at the menu I wasn’t sure what to get and wasn’t familiar with many of the options. Turns out I had no need to worry. Our server was excellent and walked us through the options, ultimately recommending exactly what we ordered. The bread service was amazing and trying all of the different dips and flavors of bread was a great experience. The main dishes were delicious with strong flavors and great presentation. I hope next time we are in the area I can convince my wife to go again!

Yelp
Great views, great food, great service. As an Indian, I was very skeptical of "The bread service" but it was one the best things I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Finally, they were able to easily accommodate my egg and nut allergies. Indian food and allergy friendly you say, whaaat?

Yelp
Bread service, savanna views, and soul-warming flavors you'll be dreaming about for weeks. Sanaa isn't just one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property--it's a destination. Tucked inside Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's not one of those places you just stumble upon. You go out of your way for Sanaa... and it rewards you. Let's start with the bread service, because yes--it deserves its own section. Five types of warm naan, nine sauces, one unforgettable moment of silence as you decide if you're a mango chutney loyalist or a garlic pickle rebel. You haven't truly eaten at Disney until you've done the full bread service dance. The menu is a blend of African and Indian-inspired dishes, and you can taste the care in every bite. The butter chicken and braised beef? Fork-tender and full of flavor. Vegetarian options? Packed with love, not just thrown on the menu to check a box. But what truly sets Sanaa apart is the ambience. You're eating steps away from a literal savanna. I've had lunch next to zebras. I've watched ankole cattle strut while sipping South African wine. The vibe is warm, earthy, and intimate--with cast members who are just as excited to tell you about the food as they are to point out which animals are passing by. And as a former CM who knows this resort inside and out: Sanaa is a hidden gem that deserves way more hype than it gets. It's not pretentious. It's not rushed. It's special. It's where the flavors are bold, the views are alive, and the magic is in every little detail--from the spice blends to the music softly playing in the background. Pro tip: If you can, go during lunch. That's when you'll get the best animal views. And book early--this place fills up fast (with good reason).

Yelp
(July 2025) On this 4th of July, my wife and I had dinner here. Like others, we started with the Indian-Style Bread Service ($22). The bread we chose were two Garlic-Finger Naan, two Traditional Naan, and one Onion Kulcha; the accompaniments we chose were two Cucumber Raita, two Mango Chutney, two Tamarind Chutney, two Coriander Chutney, and one other. We chose these because we don't tolerate spicy foods, especially my wife. Our favorite together was the mango chutney. For the Potjie-Inspired (entree), Journey, we split the Butter Chicken and Braised Beef; for the Harvest, we got the Lentil Daal and Rajma Masala. I preferred the chicken while my wife preferred the beef. Neither of us loved the beans. We ended the evening with the Giraffe Tower Mousse ($12). Bernadette, our server, also gave me a separate little ice cream dessert, as this is also considered my birthday trip. My wife and I hope to make a return visit to Sanaa!

Yelp
I heard rave reviews from colleagues about this restaurant and wanted to try it. My friend and I had never gone before so we booked a reservation. It is in the DVC building of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - the Kidani Village. If you have a reservation for dining, let the guard know so you can park for free during your meal. We got to the restaurant early and checked in. They had a table ready within a minute or two and we were seated. Staff were all knowledgeable and friendly - our waitress was great at suggesting the best dishes to complement what our mains were or what flavors we wanted. I went with the Potjie Inspired with butter chicken and the Chickpea Wat. Food came out quickly and it was delicious. Flavors balanced out nicely and there was plenty of food for the meal. My friend and I shared a pot of tea to enjoy with the Wilde-best Wildebeest dessert. Wonderful experience overall. If you are a passholder or Cast Member, they do accept your discount there.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! The vegetable curry is top notch, the curry was rich in flavor, the best I've had. The bread service is top tier, the bread is amazing, I wish I lived close, I would frequent this often. Service is excellent. WOW.

Yelp
Coolest dining experience ever! I made a reservation online before my trip at 5:25 pm so that my party could be there before sunset. If you arrive early you can walk around the viewing areas while you wait for your table. We got great views of zebras and antelope. They do have a separate allergen menu. We also made sure to express we wanted a table by the windows by the view so if that's important to you, you can tell the host. We started with their famous bread service. It is to die for!! The 9 sauces are all delicious! There's something for everyone from sweet to spicy and the breads were all soo soft and fluffy. It's a great introduction for someone new to Indian food. For my entree, I ordered the grilled New York steak. It was cooked to perfection and the sides were so tasty! I have zero complaints. I also love that the host asks you if your party is celebrating anything special. At the end of our dinner our waitress brought out a cute little birthday dessert for our birthday girl :).

Yelp
We came here (pronounced sa-NAH) for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere and noise level were perfect-- we had our children with us (yay no babysitter) but still wanted something that felt special. This place with its low lighting and interesting decor was perfect. The menu is slightly limited, but what is there is delicious. We got the butter chicken potjie with red beans, the braised beef potjie with lentils, and the bread service. The bread service is not to be missed. It's $22 but is shareable for the table and comes with 3-4 different naan and 9 different sauces. It was an effort not to devour it all and fill up before our entrees. Potjie just means little pots of slooooow roasted foods. My husband and I traded bites back and forth and could not get enough. For dessert, our sweet waitress Martina brought us an adorable, light bite. A scoop of mango sorbet on a bed of graham cracker crumbs-- meant to look like an ostrich egg. It was so light and delicious after that filling meal. It was a perfect finishing touch. Echoing others notes, definitely make a reservation! They're not required, but depending on the day you might find yourself with a long wait. When we checked in for ours at 8:15pm on a Saturday, another family was being informed of a 75 minute wait.

Yelp
Had to wait an extra 45 minutes past out reservation so friends and I just waited at the bar and almost order the same items. We got the naan and the spread which is the typical appetizer. Got the African mule and vegetarian curry. Tasty but a bit slow to get the foods. Very African style look especially the wooden benches and the random glass works on the ceiling and amazing to see the giraffes and other wild animals in the back.

Yelp
Love the ambiance and love the food. Original menu, offering different spicy meals. We shared the 5 types of naan, served with a wide selection of sauces (neutral to spicy!) I ordered the vegetable curry made with seasonal vegetables and a delicious sauce. Flavorful but not spicy. The cocktails are original and special to this restaurant. Worth the price. Service was great. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly Great upscale restaurant

Yelp
We had Sanaa for my birthday lunch and it was amazing! Trust me when I say, you want to do the bread service. Even the kids loved it! It comes served up with a ton of unique and flavorful dipping sauces from mild to a bit of heat. Even the kids loved it and trying the various naans to dip in - the garlic was a hit with our family. Again, we're at Disney so everything is warm, welcoming and inviting and the service is always excellent. Unfortunately, due to renovations no animal dining views this November (sad face) but we still very much enjoyed our food and the ambience. I did the Potjie inspired - I'm vegetarian so I was able to select two from that side, and you can mix and match to your hearts content. I opted for the chickpea and lentil. Definitely different from most meals we eat on the regular and very flavorful. Don't sleep on the samosas either - we love samosas in my house (even the kids!) and these did not disappoint. Also, is that Yak dessert not the cutest thing you've ever seen?! Come to Disney and explore this great restaurant - can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Sanaa is definitely one of the hidden gems at Disney as most people don't even realize that it's here as it's tucked away in Animal Kingdom Lodge meaning if you don't go to the Kidani Village section of the resort you'll totally miss it! This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in property as it's always been very flavorful and unique to anything else that you can find at Disney. They are open for breakfast as a quick service restaurant that's offering a more upscale menu when compared to other restaurants on property I went with the boar breakfast as it just hit the spot with that very yummy boar sausage and my eggs cooked perfectly I couldn't go wrong but that's not even the star of the show here as that can be found at dinner! The bread service here is among the best I've ever had as it comes with several different naan breads and a variety of sauces to put on them that are ranging from hot to sweet to savory and everything in between this right here was definitely one of the most enjoyable bread services I've ever had as it was just soo fun and yummy to try all the different flavors! So for dinner on this given day I went with the pick 3 and what I received was some yummy rice, beans, and butter chicken to break it all down and let me say the flavors were here in full force from start to finish as I would mix them all together by the spoon full and enjoy them on their own making for an overly yummy dinner from start to finish! The inside of this restaurant is really pretty too as it's very well themed to the African style that you can find across the resort making for a cute but kinda dark atmosphere that's perfect for the vibe of the whole resort as a hole as it's that and the fact that you can sit at your table and look outside to see the safari animals makes for a very unique experience. Overall this really has became one of my favorite restaurants at Disney and one of my favorites in the Orlando area as the flavors are here the cast is friendly and the atmosphere is awesome so do yourself a favor and definitely check it out!

Yelp
Another yummy visit to one of the most unique and tasty spots on Disney property! The ambiance and service kill it here every time - servers are always kind and knowledgeable, and I love the resort this restaurant sits in. I was, however, disappointed to see that they changed the fish dish on the menu since the last time I visited - it was my favorite entree with the colored cauliflower and potato cake, and it's now a different fish. Understandable but sad to see that one go. Also, I no longer saw the sangrias advertised on the drinks menu, but we were still able to order them! These are my favorites to get here! The bread service was awesome as always, a great value app and such a fun experience. I tried the steak for the first time this visit - the sauce that came with it had a little kick, and it was so good! The plantains were also nicely flavored. I could have used a few more veggies or a potato to round out the dish for me, but it was still full of great flavor as everything is here. We'll be back!
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Food quality's awful. Idk what happened here but most definitely would not come back. Why would anybody want to eat the stem off of the tomatoes, especially in the burger? Also why are the bread not warm and stale? These are some of the questions that the management needs to go thru and try to resolve them. Totally unhappy with the experience and definitely won't be coming back
google avatar

Deanna L.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for lunch. It's definitely recommended to get reservations in advance because this is a very popular spot. For lunch, I tried the Tandoori Chicken. It was good and flavorful, definitely different from Tandoori Chicken I've had at other Jndian restaurants, but still very tasty. The decorations around the restaurant and the outfits the staff wears are all beautiful! The showstopper of this place are the animals roaming outside the restaurant. After our meal, my friend and I saw giraffes and zebras and several other animals. Keep in mind that it is in the Animal Kingdom Lodge and parking is in a parking garage connected to the resort, which has the restaurant below the lobby.

Yelp
Experience the most amazing views of zebra, giraffe, wildabeast while dining on some amazing food! Stopped in for a quick breakfast before hitting the parks and it did not disappoint with sweet potatoes hash, avocado mash, egg, healthy greens and pine nuts nicely seasoned...will revisit as the place is perfectly decorated and themed for the property! Staff is great!
google avatar

Pranjali G.

Yelp
Always love the vibe of this place. The African Indian fusion food is a perfect blend of spices. Definitely try the bread platter. It's comes with some yummy dipping sauces. They have good vegetarian options. We did not make a reservation. Reached around 11.30 am when they start lunch service. Had to wait only for 10 mins. But do recommend to reserve during peak times. You can see Giraffes, Zebras, Ostrich and few more animals from the 1st floor.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
The fact that I can enjoy dinner with my family and look at giraffes... already a 10 in my book. The flavor combos- the textures, everything was *chefs kiss*. My step mom's vegan and GF allergies were fully accommodated, even at bread service- which was huge. I loved the decor and huge open windows- absolutely wonderful and highly recommend !

Yelp
This place still cannot and will not disappoint. Still one of the best (if not THE best) restaurants in DisneyWorld. Bread Service still the best/a must get. The Potjie Inspired with any of the options is great. Can't pick wrong. Very underrated burger! Must try and also possibly the best burger in DW. Unfortunately this past visit, the windows were frosted due to construction so I hope to come back. I would never get sick of this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here after a day of resort hopping, what an experience! Heads up: if you're not staying at the resort, you'll need a reservation. Worth it. The whole place feels like The Lion King, you're eating while giraffes, zebras, and antelope roam right outside the window. Unreal. Food was excellent. The bread service alone is worth the trip, naan with a bunch of bold, flavorful dips. Could've eaten just that. Great service, amazing view, solid food. Sanaa's a must.

Yelp
We had a reservation for 5 at 8:30 PM on a Thursday. The restaurant seemed like it was clearing out around that time but was still pretty crowded. The restaurant was a bit antiquated but we were seated in a large area which was nice for only 5 people. Because it was dark outside already we weren't able to see the animals outside. Another point of disappointment was that service was poor and just not up to Disney standard. The food itself was just mediocre to poor. I'm surprised at all of the praise it's getting in the reviews. I tried: -MANGO LASSI: This was not a mango lassi at most it was a mango smoothie. Flavor was fine. -INDIAN STYLE BREAD SERVICE: The naans were good and the accompaniments were tasty. -POTJIE INSPIRED: Wow what a disappointment. The rice was severely undercooked. We got the daal which was just not good and overly sour for some reason. For the second dish we got the butter chicken which was also not the best but at least it was better than the daal. -SAMAKI UPMA PERI PERI: The fish was very dry. The chickpea crisp was so tough we thought it was plastic. The corn relish was the only thing that was tasty on the plate though. All in all, such a disappointing restaurant. Skip this place for dinner.

Yelp
If you are into authentic Indian food, this just doesn't do it. Not worth trekking over from Jambo House to eat here. While the bread service was pretty good, it's $20 for a few pieces of bread and several samples of sauces. If you are familiar again with Indian restaurants this is nothing to write home about. We ordered a butter chicken dish. It included a small portion of white rice, small portion of butter chicken which was mostly gravy very few pieces of chicken. It was very salty and not super flavorful. And a side of some beans, that were kinda meh. Everything looked way better then it actually tasted. Again nothing to write home about and major sticker shock. If you can get good authentic Indian food elsewhere, I would encourage you to do that. Even the dessert was super mid, and the server was less then friendly to us. Biggest regret on our trip, wish we had saved and eaten elsewhere.

Yelp
Gluten free bread service, are you kidding? Naan too! Amazing. Fun combo of Indian and Ethiopian offerings. The decor is beautiful.

Yelp
I'm torn on this review, because while the location and service were definitely 5 stars, the food was closer to 3. We made our dinner reservations when they opened 60 days in advance, as you'll typically need to do with any of the more popular Disney dining options. Sanaa is located in Animal Kingdom Lodge, in the Kidani Village section. Parking was confusing - we ended up having to walk quite a ways just to get to the lobby. Some more signage would be appreciated, or an email ahead of time with more info after making your reservation. One of the reasons Sanaa is such a hot spot for meals is because of its setting. The restaurant is situated right on the edge of the Animal Kingdom Lodge "Savanna," where you can watch giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and other animals right from your table. In some cases, you may even have an animal friend come right up to the window, which happened to us and a rather intrigued crane-like bird. This is Disney magic at its finest - a dining experience you can't get anywhere else. We started with their famous bread service, which is a fun, interactive way to try a lot of different sauces and breads. Our server recommended mixing and matching the sauces, which added another layer to the dish. For entrees, we shared the Zanzibari Vegetable Curry with Chicken, and the Samaki Upma Peri Peri, which featured a rotating sustainable fish. That day's fish was Corvina, which was cooked well, but in desperate need of seasoning. The curry featured some interesting flavors, although it wasn't my favorite. We rounded out our meal with the Wilde-best Wildebeest for dessert, which was a rich flourless chocolate cake. This was tasty, albeit small for the price. In fact, the prices overall are on the high side, even for Disney. If we returned, I might stick to ordering just drinks and the bread service, before grabbing dinner at Boma or Jiko.
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
3.5 is what I'd rank it. All the feels of Africa including African cuisine. I very much enjoyed the bread service trying different breads and dips. Everything else seemed spicy so I just got a burger. The kids loved it and saw many animals but I would come here otherwise for the money.
google avatar

Sagir P.

Yelp
The food was okay. It wasn't as authentic as I had hoped. Service was fast, food came out quickly. Disney always does amazing at decor and creating an ambiance. We were able to see giraffes when it was still light out
google avatar

Gillynn C.

Yelp
This restaurant is inside the Kidani resort at wild animal Kingdom. It is on the first floor. The lobby is on the second floor. The food is just mediocre. Food comes a little salty at times my bun was supposed to be a Nan-bun, but it seemed like a regular bunall in all the view makes up for it. We had a window seat. It's actually a window wall you can see through the whole thing and you have a view of the Savannah. It's pretty incredible. The animals are sweet and nice and are very close. Take a picture of them. I recommend this place if you wanna go and watch animals.

Yelp
Sanaa is a great place to go for a nice meal that serves as an exposure to international foods. We came here a year ago and knew we would return on this trip. We managed to keep searching for a reservation continuously before our trip, and the morning of we snagged someone's cancellation time slot which was magical. The food here is great. The littles shared the kids pizza, which comes with two sides of your choosing. Since two kids were sharing the same meal, I didn't feel bad for ordering two sides of Timon's grub. However I did feel bad for not reading that this dessert was not the same as last year (it used to be Pumbaas grub) and now it is a banana pudding and not a chocolate pudding). So know Timon is banana pudding. But that did not dampen our experience. The bread service is a must. The toppings for the naan have changed slightly from last year, and they are still just as tasty. The interior is nicely decorated to match the vibe of the restaurant. Large windows face the animals of Animal Kingdom, so you never know who will you will dine beside - it could be your little or a zebra! The bathrooms are located inside the hallway on your way to the restaurant. There is also stroller parking inside. Inside the hotel, the elevator on the right of the main entry is what will take you down to the restaurant. The one on the left side of the main entry to the hotel does not go down. Sanaa is a place we make reservations to each trip to Disney and this will continue in the future.

Yelp
I went for lunch! The bread service was delicious. I really only came for that however I ordered the tandoori chicken. The price was a little steep for lunch however it was super filling. I wasn't sure if the sauces you were allowed to ask for more but our server didn't really check back too many times with us . I think I like the bread service better Eet

Yelp
Made a reservation here for my husband's birthday and really had a nice time. We saw some animals on the window while dining in and my kids really had a good time. For the food we ordered the Indian style bread service and it has five different flavors of bread with 10 types of sauces on the side. This is an appetizer but honestly this can be a main dish and you can share it up to 3 people. Its really delicious! For my main dish I got the potjie inspired and I choose the butter chicken with chickpea wat. I really enjoyed the butter chicken with rice and the chicken was tender and delicious. The chickpea side was alright. I also got the mango lassi and it taste like a mango shake not like the authentic one that its so creamy because of the yogurt and I'm pretty sure the one they serve me has no yogurt. For the kids menu the choices are not that great. My kids had pizza with mac and cheese. I feel like that combo doesn't really match and the meal comes with the banana pudding dessert which is good. Overall it was a fun and memorable experience!

Yelp
When we left Orlando, we had our final lunch at Sanaa at Animal Kingdom resort and it was probably our favorite meal at this property. It gave us more Indian vibes than African vibes with their food options. If you come here, their bread service is a must. You get several types of bread to enjoy with several combinations of flavors. It's a flavor bomb. I paired the bread service with their lamb kefta appetizer and I was able to make my own lamb flavor bomb sandwich bites. My wife went with the burger and she appreciated the not-subtle spices that made the flavors dance. The meal here is great and I think that you should definitely make it a point to eat here if you are staying at the Animal Kingdom property!

Yelp
We loved our lunch here. We stopped on the day we were heading out of Disney. We loved being able to have a different cuisine while getting to see animals! The bread service really is as good as everyone says and every dip was so fun to try. The mood was great, except for renovations happening so we couldn't see out the windows. Because of this it seemed more like other restaurants on property. That didn't ruin our experience since we still got to walk out and see them! The burger was really good and the drink options were awesome. Great lunch here and option at the property!

Yelp
Sanaa a wonderful gem for breakfast at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge. A host/hostess greets you, gives you a menu and you place your order at the bar and then pick your seat in the restaurant. We sat near the window for the best viewing of the animals. Opens at 7:30 closes at 11 plenty of time to grab a breakfast hash or French toast with bananas brûlée, a latte and free coffee refills at the coffee bar all while you view giraffes and water beasts out the window. The prices are reasonable around $12-$15 per person for breakfast. Instead of characters, you have real animals rather than characters to greet you :) It was so peaceful, one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time at Disney. After breakfast go for a stroll, and view the giraffes and a few other animals much closer for a fun surprise with the kids. Go! Enjoy the peace, food, coffee, Cast Members and animals!

Yelp
Oh god - 5 stars this place is not. Those who think the bread service is out of this world have not eaten at any normal Indian restaurant ever. Yes, the concept is spectacular - 5 breads and 9 condiments. The breads themselves were not hot piping fresh out of the oven and this was at 5pm opening. They are clearly ready to go and preheated. Drinks were nice. They had ingredients not found elsewhere. Entrees were good sized. Only complaint, which is not really a complaint, is we were thirsty the rest of the night from whatever spices were in the food. And we're people who love Indian spices. Breakfast service is a joke. Who wants to go to a bar to order your coffee and pastries you cannot see. Disney needs to up there game on this one.

Yelp
This place was recommended by 2 previous guests and they said this was their favorite dinner so far at Disney. My experience was different but I want to include that as this is likely just not my preferred cuisine as well. 1. The area was under construction. We were seated in the area where the windows were blocked. One of the main things that attracted us to this diner (besides the reviews) was that you got to look out and see the animals. We were close to a window, just the view was blocked. We could see out in the distance but could not see any animals during dinner, even with getting up and walking around with my baby for a little (could see WAY out there when we got close) - HOWEVER I will say you can go outside and see the animals much closer outside the restaurant. There was a door leading outside across from the host stand/180 degrees after coming down the stairs. You do not have to dine here to get that experience. Would have been happy seeing that and eating somewhere else 2. Our server was not very nice. She did not explain things well (some of the foods are more "exotic" and she made me seem dumb for asking) and she seemed annoyed when asking questions. For example, I asked if the butter chicken was made with any honey so my baby could try it and she questioned why I needed to know. It is not! But after trying it, felt it was too spicy to let her try anyways 3. The bread service was good but I feel like some of our pita bread was burnt. It was fun to try the different dips. There were 4 or 5 different pita breads (and they even had GF pita bread for my dad) but they quickly said which were which and left. Either way, I would get this again. Now, for my entree... I do not like Indian/African food. Thinking of this meal still makes me nauseous HOWEVER I am bias since this is not the type of food I usually like. The smell of my family eating the leftovers also made me nauseous. Between the table we all ordered different sides and none were enjoyable to me. Again, probably not the person to be judging this food but 3 months later I still don't want to think about this food but finishing my review anyways.

Yelp
After our tour of Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jon and I went to Kidani Village for lunch at Sanaa! They have a lovely bread service and we also sampled several appetizers! It was a lovely meal and we enjoyed eating such ethnically diverse foods!

Yelp
Phenomenal dinner at Sanaa tonight with my family for Mother's Day! We had reservations which are highly recommended and the meal did not disappoint. Our service was excellent even though they were a full house and waited to get our table ready. Do not skip the Indian bread service as recommended by everyone, this is what they are known for. All of the artwork inside the restaurant is beautiful and amazingly decorated, our dishes of entrees were also made with so much deliciousness that I look forward to my leftovers since I filled up on the bread service lol. My picky eater also had the safe option of ordering a cheese pizza just because I knew he had a limited selection so for our family with toddler, this made dinner a breeze for us eccentric and diverse adult diners. We cant wait to return again soon for our next meal when we stay at AKL kidani again!

Yelp
We arrived 15 mins late because I forgot (again) it's in the other building but we were sat right away by a lovely hostess. The seasonal fish was cooked perfectly with a delectable sauce and the kids devoured their selections. I appreciated the wine menu parity with Jiko - esp more options by the glass. The dining room was a bit loud but we did go during peak dinner time. Great service- a little slow towards the end but friendly none the less.

Yelp
It was the best meal in all of Disney World, not an exaggeration. Casual dining experience with a fun drum session before the restaurant opened. With a reservation they seated us immediately. Our waitress Kim was very nice and professional. The waiters won't scream jokes at you like they do in the parks, so it's a lot more pleasant. Had the bread service and goan seafood curry with sukuma wiki. The bread was fantastic and the chutney that went along with it offered a lot of variety. The seafood curry had a mild lemony flavor that was so good. And this is crazy but the WATER was also the best. Tired of greasy children's food and half-assed "inspired" stuff from the parks? Come here for a real meal.

Yelp
We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in December 2024 and picked up breakfast from Sanaa most mornings. Their breakfast sandwich and banana brûlée French toast are AMAZING. However my favorite by far was the avocado toast with poached egg & greens (see pic). The bread is delicious as is the avocado & rest of the sandwich. Excuse the wilted greens in the pic as it had been in the box a bit. Highly recommend Sanaa for breakfast!

Yelp
I have been twice to Sanaa and each has been a different, but great experience. Unfortunately at this time, a lot of the windows are covered due to construction but the inside of the restaurant is still wonderfully decorated and the lighting is dim enough to create a cozy atmosphere but you can still read the menu IYKYK. We shared the bread service... everyone knows it's fantastic. Order extra naan, don't question me just do it. We also shared the samosas and I should've ordered just a plate for myself! The last time I came, I got the Journey & Harvest duo with the pork vindaloo and the rajma masala. Both were phenomenal. This time I tried the vegetable curry with chicken because I had been having a craving that week and unfortunately it was good, but not great. I'd skip this one in favor of other menu items.

Yelp
This place is worth it! I recommend making a reservation because it definitely gets busy and the wait gets long, but it's worth the wait! The food is fantastic, we got the bread in the beginning and went through it so fast I forgot to take a photo. The curry is fantastic, and honestly enough food for 2-3 people if you get the bread. The drinks are tasty and the views are the best! You look out over the Savannah at animal kingdom lodge! If you can fit this into your stay, or drive over form another resort, I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge is a dining experience like no other! The Indian/African-inspired menu is packed with flavor. We started with the famous bread service, including gluten-free naan that tasted just as amazing as the regular. The lamb chops were tender and cooked to perfection, and the seafood curry, with shrimp and white fish, was rich and satisfying. A must-try for Disney peep and foodies alone! You don't even need a Disney pass. Of course it's Disney too, it's decorated like you're in another country or even more in a real lodge in another country. That's why I love Disney, it brings you to another place.

Yelp
Bread service is really good. Just ask which bread and sauces are spicy in case you have little kids. I thought the food would be out of the ordinary to me, but it tasted similar to filipino cuisine, it was delicious. Atmosphere, service, hostess was great too. I recommended coming here at least once when you are at Disney world. The hotel is impressive as well.

Yelp
Dinner with a view! We were able to sit by the window and enjoy the view of the animals. The zebra outside our window was enjoying his dinner too. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The bread service is a fun way to try all of the sauces and experience new flavors. The curry's all had a rich depth of flavor. It was not spicy at all. Which is perfect for those who do not like spice. The kitchen did bring us some Birds Eye chili paste to the table for us to add some heat! The Dahl was a little a bland. It was our anniversary, so they surprised us with some mango Ice cream dessert which was a nice surprise!

Yelp
Service was great! The food was delicious. The bread service was so yummy. Loved all the different options. Beautiful atmosphere. It was everything to expect from a Disney restaurant.

Yelp
All I've ever heard about was the bread service and it did not disappoint! Seriously, get it. It's four different types of naan and eight different dipping sauces, with something for every palette. I wasn't a fan of the hotter sauces, but I'm a wimp when it comes to spice. I also thought the sweeter sauces were a little odd; however, I might not have paired them with the right naan flavors so that could be on me. But overall, I loved it. For my entree, I actually did a kid's portion. A friend who's been to Sanaa shared this strategy and I'm glad I did. I still got to try their butter chicken, but it was a much more manageable portion (especially after having the bread). The basmati rice was also good, as was the mac and cheese (TONS of flavor)! The price was really reasonable, especially with getting the kid's portion (and I didn't even finish that meal, so glad I didn't get the 'regular' size and waste even more food)! I highly recommend checking out Sanaa, and get the bread service if you do!

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner here! We didn't get the chance to have a window seat but after eating walked around outside and lots of animals to enjoy! Our server was very helpful. Get the bread service!!!

Yelp
Located on the lower level (go down the stairs after walking across the lobby) in the Kidani Villas at Animal Kingdom lodge Sanaa offers traditional African cuisine in an high end yet kid friendly (they offer regular food on the kids meal with a fun Pumba mud with gummy worms, chocolate rocks, etc.) restaurant that also has an awesome view of the animals outside the window (think giraffes, zebras, etc.!) We ordered the Indian Style bread service which was awesome with 5 different kinds of bread (Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, and Paneer Paratha - denser thicker type) accompanied by 9, yes NINE, delicious dipping sauces: Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, and Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle. Our favorites were the cucumber raita, mango chutney, coriander (aka cilantro) chutney and garlic pickle. It was really fun to try all of the different breads and sauces! The spicy ones were too spicy for my kids but totally fine for my husband and I. For entrees we both enjoyed the Butter Chicken with the deliciously seasoned aromatic jasmine rice. Even eating the rice on its own was very flavorful. For the sides you can choose one of four options: Rajma Masala (a red bean chili type dish), Chickpea Wat (a chickpea dish), Sukuma Wiki (a collared greens & tomato dish), or Lentil Daal. My husband got the lentils which were very tasty and I enjoyed them more than my Sukuma Wiki although it was tasty it was a bit bland in comparison. *My best tip is that if none of the 4 side dishes appeal to you then they'll let you order roasted cauliflower (off menu) - I wish I had done that! Or gotten the lentils. Sanaa also has an extensive drink menu and they make really delicious blended drinks. You can also get them without alcohol like we did for my kids. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall the awesome view of the African safari animals plus the fun food make Sanaa a great restaurant to mix up your Disneyworld experience!

Yelp
The pork vindalla was AMAZING, and the tomato soup with paneer= SPLENDID!!!!! For what you pay, the portions don't line up....but the flavors are out of this world!
