"A Coconut Grove staple, Sandbar is back and better than ever after a fire in 2020. Always filled with regulars and home to many college nights, this casual sports bar has 40 beers on tap, a full bar, great food, and 30+ televisions. There’s also a new outdoor area with a bocce ball court and more." - Amber Love Bond

"Sandbar is the place to watch Miami Hurricanes games. That being said, it gets a surprisingly large turnout for Michigan State, University of Missouri, Florida State and University of Florida fans, not to mention for NFL teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and, of course, the Dolphins." - Eater Staff

I have been to the Sandbar a bunch and love it. The wings are great. I like Joey's style (back on the grill). The food is good, plentiful. The drinks are cold. They love dogs! which is cool. Long live the Sandbar!

We had such a great time. We had a very large group to watch a playoff game. Amanda was our server and she was amazing. I have no clue how she kept everything together but did an amazing job. Also the owners were awesome, we needed additional tables and they moved so we could have theirs. They also helped with directions and questions about the area. We had an amazing time. Definitely a great place to watch a game.

Foods ok, service ok, good restaurant choice if you’re a middle class person like myself. Everything else in the area seems like it’s pretty expensive like 30+ a meal, but this place is reasonable sports bar. I had the wings Joey style. They’re pretty decent. I would order them again. Service is kind of iffy. Happy hour is pretty good. I think it runs till seven and I think it’s 50% off draft beers. Met a couple of regular characters at the bar who were very entertaining.

For Sports Grill, I really enjoyed myself. I ordered a Funky Buddha Floridian and Philly Phanatics w/ Tater Tots. The Philly was bigger and tastier than I expected it to be. I can never go wrong with a Floridian. Outdoor was perfect. On their patio people watching was perfect. People are very entertaining. My server was sweet. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her. For an appetizer I ordered chips with salsa, pico de gallo and guac. While the dips were delicious the chips tasted a bit stale. That wouldn’t stop me from revisiting the place.

If you're a fan of mahi fish tacos, this spot is an absolute must-visit! I've been indulging in their tacos since 2006, and they are the sole reason I ever find myself there. While the menu boasts a variety of delicious items, it's the mahi fish tacos that keep me coming back. Having lived in Miami and traveled to various states and countries, I've made it a point to visit this place whenever I can. Whether it's ordering 3-6 tacos with fries and savoring every bite outside or making a special trip, these tacos never disappoint. A memorable moment was during my pregnancy in 2018. I drove my Lexus from Maryland to Coconut Grove just to satisfy an intense craving for these tacos. I called ahead to ensure they’d be open and have my order ready, and though it felt a bit crazy at the time, leaving there so happy and full was worth every mile! Even though I thought they might have closed permanently during and after COVID, I was thrilled to return in December 2021 and find them open. I can't wait for my next I hope it's around forever so that I can take my grandchildren one day when I am old!

The girls and I today ordered the turkey sandwich, coconut shrimp, and the guacamole and chips with Delicious drinks. I had the honor to meet with the manager, Julio. He was amazing and gave exceptional service, very kind and really gave that hospitality. Thank you for making my first time so great will be coming back. Also, our waiter Cesar was amazing as well thank you so much guys. I love it here.

Fantastic bar! Great happy hour 3-7pm with half price drinks. The staff are friendly and fun, especially Gabby and Sha, and they show all soccer matches on request. High recommend!

It’s a shame that the service was subpar, because the food was very good. It’s difficult to say that the overall experience was positive when the service was disappointing. The drinks took long to receive and the staff was hanging around in their phone. Do better! We enjoyed the food and would love to come back for a better experience.
