A family-run breakfast and lunch mainstay where biscuits and gravy, chicken-fried steak, and hefty omelets fuel Old Town mornings. Locals swear by it, and its long tenure speaks to the warm service and straight-up valley comfort cooking.

Stopped by as I was driving to Sequoia. Fun themed country diner with a classic menu and average pricing. However, service was very slow and I waited around 20 minutes just to get my order taken - I kept asking to order but each server I asked said that I wasn’t sitting at “their” table. Food was fine, didn’t particularly stand out but not bad at all.

First time we were here, good down home cooking food tastes like grandma home cooking service is great

The Girl That Is Nothing

Google
The service was friendly and the atmosphere was so lively. When we got there is was busy with people, we waited 15 minutes for a table. Once inside we ordered our food and waited for almost an hour. The biscuits and gravy was pretty good. I ordered a Pancho villa which was good but it needed something spicy, yes I tried the salsa on the table but it’s not that kick it needs .I wish the beans weren’t canned. I wasn’t a big fan of the chicken fried streak, I felt like it needed something else to give it that wow effect, the potatoes that goes with it was a lil disappointing also. They weren’t cooked evenly and the seasoning were bland. Overall the food was okey, would I come back to Sandy’s? Probably not.

This was my first my time visiting this place. We arrived around the closing time. They didn't mind. The staff was so nice, gave us enough time to order. He did asked us very polite to do our order before the kitchen closed down for the day. The food was delicious. We were able to hang out a little bit after closing time. They weren't rushing us to leave. We ate very comfortable. Next time We will make plans to get there earlier. The place is very clean and very spacious. They have a very nice outdoor dining area. The restrooms are super clean. Parking and location is great! $$ I totally recommended this place for breakfast or brunch.

Google
Seems to be a classic location in town serving traditional western breakfast. Big cowboy theme. Staff are kind, food was good. Door kept swinging and cold air kept biting. Probably one of the better and unique potato sides, love it when it’s charred and it’s from the bottom Of the grill

Google
Fluffiest biscuits and best tasting gravy I've had in years! We ordered the BILLY THE KID breakfast and were so happy with the ton of tasty food for the cheap price. We live somewhere else but will eat here ANYTIME we come through! 😋

Sandy's is now open until 8 pm. We went on a Thursday at 6 pm and the place was empty. This is the kind of place that would have a line to get seated on any morning, so be able to go for dinner was great. Food was awesome. Service was awesome. I'll be back next time I'm in Clovis.

Google
Oh my gosh it’s so yummy. All the staff is so nice. We got seated right away. I got the Italian omelette with hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. With a cinnamon roll on the side. And my girlfriend got the chicken strips with fries and pancake. Everything was really great.

Yelp
Best biscuits and gravy in Clovis/Fresno area. Love their waffles, too. Coffee good. Service is exceptional. They seat you as soon as a table is ready. Always check if you need anything else, and someone always is filling up your coffee cup. Lots of smiling, welcoming folks. Small restaurant, clean, happy place. Nice outdoor partio. Crowded on weekends, but worth the wait!

Yelp
Location: Sandy's Country Junction Date: August 23, 2025 Service: Breakfast It's the weekend time for some graphics earlier today. I was referred by some colleagues and friends to check out Sandy's country Junction located in Clovis area. First time ever Sandy's country Junction. The parking situation is not great. Once I did find parking and I arrived in the restaurant, I was able to get a seat at the counter where I place my order to dine in. My server for the day was Brett. Brett assisting me right away asked me if I needed anything and let me told me to let me know when I was ready to place my order. I told Brett that I wanted the Stack 'em breakfast which I selected the pancakes, scrambled eggs, and the ham. As I was patiently waiting for my order, I received the eggs and ham, and then I received waffles instead of the pancakes I ordered. I was informed that they ordered the waffles instead of my pancake, and their mistake. I would have to wait longer for pancakes my inital order. I was able to speak with the supervisor on duty, was Paulina. I immediately form Paulina. There was a mistake with my order and I did not receive my complete order as requested. Paulina was able to assist me promptly and to correct the issue right away. The food was delicious despite not receiving my correct order. Thank you to Paulina for listening to the Customer and resolving the issue Immediately The noise level was average. There was seating inside and outside if you choose. The prices are accurate for the Clovis area. Check out the photos attached to this review.

Yelp
Sandy's Country Junction is a perfectly decent place to grab a classic breakfast. The food is solid - nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a step up from the chain spots like Denny's or IHOP. Portions are generous, and the menu covers all the bases you'd expect: eggs, bacon, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, etc. If you're looking for a hearty, straightforward breakfast without a lot of bells and whistles, this place will do the trick. Just don't expect anything exceptional. A good option if you're nearby and want something familiar and filling.

Yelp
I thought this place was alright. We were seated after like 20 minutes, and the service was okay. I felt like they forgot we were there several times, kept having to get their attention for basic things like water. I even had to get their attention for the check, but eventually decided to go up to the front ourselves to pay. Food felt okay, and I got their biscuit gravy, and if you love gravy, this is probably the place to be. They have a heavy hand with the gravy which can be nice. The pancake felt rubbery and the omelette I got was standard. Good place, not sure I'd come back though.

Yelp
Went in to try again since I was on this side of town and didn't disappointing. I had the pork bender with all pork (ham, bacon, sausage) was on point. Came with hash browns and if substituted with strawberry shortcake which was fire. My wife's had the western omelette and biscuit and gravy
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty local breakfast. Friendly staff. Make sure to ask about sides. Huevos Rancheros and waffles and pancakes do not come with sides. And you may want a bit more to eat. Country-fried steak and eggs was a ton of food and came with both potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Just endless tasty gravy. Street parking was easier than the lot behind the restaurant, which was packed with farmers market folks for hours.

Yelp
Stopped by Sandy's Country Junction on a busy morning for breakfast. Atmosphere was lively and service was friendly, but the food did take some time to come out. The food was a bit bland especially the chicken fried steak, biscuits, and gravy. I heard good things about their biscuits and gravy, and it was somewhat underwhelming.

Yelp
Ambiance I was informed this place has been here for 35 years, old school nostalgic. There is a counter to eat. Reminds me of the places my grandmother took me to as a child, great memories luv this place. Customer Service Stellar. I asked counter person who put me on waiting list if I can get some coffee while I wait, he brought me coffee I did pay for it with my meal. Jacob our server was great he has worked there 18 years. The customer service is genuinely polite and attentive. Food Chicken Fried Steak, eggs, potatoes, biscuit and gravy. Massive amount of eggs, gravy really good, chicken fried steak a little bit overcooked but not a deal breaker. We came to Clovis to visit my wife's family. This is my favorite breakfast place now. Will order the Wild Bill's Omelet next time.

Yelp
First time coming here, ever...and I kinda feel like saying...where ya been all my life? Seriously, I really loved my first visit here. Came in a group of 9, seated rather quickly, and the service was constant and friendly, anticipating our needs! Though we had one main waiter, practically the whole staff walks around to make sure you're good. Going over and beyond- like for example, they were out of the kid's menus, and I thought I might take a chance and ask if I could have a couple pieces of paper and pens for the kids to draw while waiting...guess what- it was brought out with a smile. All the food came out in a timely manner and was correct. I didn't get pics of all the food, but had to share some of the deliciousness. I ordered a Belgian Waffle and side of Country Potatoes. Also ordered Stack ' em Ups, pancakes and kid's Chicken Tenders. Waffles were by far the star of the show. Just how it should be, crisp on the outside, and warm and sweet on the inside for each bite. I asked for peanut butter and it was no problem. Portion sizes are awesome, prices are doable, and flavors are on point. In cooler weather, I can't wait to eat out in the patio. Love also that local businesses can advertise on the tables, so cute! The decor is simple and inviting. The food is awesome, and service is refreshing! I will certainly be back again soon!

Yelp
Amazing omelette. I ordered a cheddar, spinach, tomato omelette. It was delicious. Served with beautiful country potatoes and sourdough toast. Best breakfast in a very long time.
google avatar

Nellie P.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious. I ordered eggs benedict and was very glad I did. I tried a few bites of the biscuits and gravy which was amazing! The fried chicken was also delicious. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly and very attentive. They refilled our coffees frequently. The food came out fast and the portions were large. Even my toddler had a great time. My family and I were there for my birthday and several people wished me a happy birthday! At the end they brought out biscuits with strawberries and whipped cream. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
We were seated immediately as we entered the restaurant, service was great. Waitress checked on us and made sure food was good and drinks were refilled. Chicken fried steak tasted great, so did the chile verde plate. Ambiance is like this old fashioned country place. A little pricey but worth it.
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
Food was good and served quickly. Tad bit on the pricey side, especially with the coffee at $4.50 a cup. Will certainly come back.

Yelp
On our way home from Yosemite we found this spot to stop for breakfast. They have plenty of seatings indoors and outdoors. We ordered: Chicken Fried Chicken with over easy eggs and hashbrowns. The batter was overly salted. The chicken was too thick and chewy. Would've been better as a chicken patty but that's my opinion. Hashbrowns were good though so that's a plus. Biscuits & Gravy was a side option with my meal and it was good. Chicken Fried Steak and Scrambled Eggs with country potatoes and wheat toast . Much better than the chicken . Country potatoes were extremely delicious!

Melissa N.

Yelp
Parking was terrible the day that I visited, but there wasn't a wait for Sandy's. We were sat immediately and the service was good. Very polite and efficient. The food was good but it wasn't anything special. I likely won't return simply because there are other places that I like better.

Aashrith B.

Yelp
Nothing special: service was really nice, but the food wasn't too amazing. Biscuits were really soggy from the gravy, plus coffee was way too expensive.
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was outstanding I love the ambiance of the place my brother and I really enjoyed being there I will be back for more of this goodness they are serving up who knew? Ray L.

Olivia g.

Yelp
Service is amazing! Very quick and very clean. Loved the coffee and breakfast. I'm a sucker for grits and they have amazing food.
google avatar

Adrian P.

Yelp
The food was okay...hashbrowns were a bit too undercooked in a few spots but loved the portion size for the money. Omelet was cooked perfectly with lots of meat. I was debating on whether I wanted hashbrowns or biscuits and gravy and it comes with both! Less than 55 for 3 of us was a great deal. The service actually deserved the tip for once...they kept offering to fill our cup of coffee and waters while constantly asking if we are okay with everything. Tables were clean but someone needs to clean the walls next to the tables..pretty nasty but I've seen worse...food was rated so high simply because of the service provided..affordability..and portion size.

Yelp
We were seated right away in this country themed restaurant. Our drinks were served right away and the staff were all super friendly. I had the breakfast burrito and it was different from others I've had and it was great! It's topped with their chili and had everything I would like in it. My wife had the French dip, it was good but if they sliced the beef thinner and stacked it and added cheese it would have been great. Food was served very quickly! Overall it was pretty darn good!

Yelp
We have Mothers Day reservations for 6 of us at 1:00 pm, so we'll see how it goes and let y'all know!

Yelp
Food like a good old classic American Breakfast, Service good even when busy is pleasant and not to long, Ambiance reminds me of classic American breakfast house, who knew cross-cultural differences could blend so well. Thanks, I enjoy my food and service every time. :)
google avatar

Nick F.

Yelp
Very good food which is why it's always packed completely full even the outside tables. Don't go on weekends if you want to get it fast. Worth the wait though it's sooo good
google avatar

Manuel H.

Yelp
Food was great , service was excellent and prices are reasonable, always a wonderful experience when Sharing a meal with Family.

Chris W.

Yelp
Im not sure how Sandy s got 4 stars. Maybe they changed management. I've been there years ago and they were better. Its more expensive than the other breakfast places I go. We sat on the patio and it was cold by the door. $5 for soda or coffee. I ordered French dip and got cold roast beef with mayo. My wife got sick from the eggs in the omelette. The service was cheerful buy they lost my card for a while when I handed it to them to pay. Its nicer inside than outside but you can have dogs on patio. It gets crowded Towards 1030. Bs cafe Sunnyside sierra smaller better or even Eagle house a fee blocks south are good alternatives.
google avatar

Diana L.

Yelp
The service was great! He was always checking to make sure we were good even in a packed setting. The parking was horrible though, we parked down the street since the parking lot the restaurant was connected to was packed. The eggs in the Benedict was over cooked so the yolk wasn't runny :( hash brown was good (we asked for extra crispy). Not a bad place, better than most but Huckleberry's still has the best Cajun Egg Benedict!
google avatar

Yelp
Service great! Food fantastic! Great breakfast spot. Biscuits and gravy are amazing along with everything else..:

Yelp
The Italian Omelet is one of their signature and most ordered dishes. However, I felt the marinara sauce was a bit too tangy for my liking. It was not terrible but I did not finish my plate. The service was disappointing. Even after a lengthy wait to be seated, I had to wait for several minutes more before I found out who my server was and a longer wait still before I was able to order. And it was actually one of the bussers who refilled my coffee and brought me my check. Really the best part of my experience that morning was enjoying their whip cream topped hot chocolate. The long wait time and indifference and apathy among staff was a huge turn-off. I am unlikely to make a return visit.

Yelp
My pup and I tried Sandy's after receiving horrible service at another restaurant that we actually left since no one came outside to take our order. Sandy's was wonderful! Wait staff was amazing! So friendly and quick. Food was delicious!! We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Enjoyed a Sunday lunch with my family. We were a party of 9 coming in one hour before closing and were seated within 5 minutes. Glasses of ice water were brought moments after seating which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy was delicious and not too salty and the potion size was perfect. My meal included 2 eggs I ordered over easy and country potatoes. I practically licked my plate clean. My glass was refilled with ice and water often and the servers were very nice. We will be back again.

Yelp
We chose Sandy's earlier this week while visiting family. We have been there many times and are always happy with our order. This last time was the best so far! I was in the mood for biscuits and gravy which I NEVER order anywhere, mainly bc I usually eat low carb and mostly bc I'm skeptical of the quality. Well, let me tell you, my breakfast of a senior omelette and a side of biscuits and gravy was tops! The biscuits were light and fluffy like clouds and the cream gravy was perfectly seasoned. The bacon, Jack and mushroom omelette was also delicious. I'll admit I only ate half of each and I never felt overstuffed. So, Sandy's will be my new go to when I get a craving to have biscuits and gravy! Thankfully, we are only in the area a few times a year! Service was tops, as always. The only minor complaint could be the charge for a cup of coffee: $4.50. Thankfully, plenty of refills and even a to go cup if you want one.

Yelp
Had chicken fried steak breakfast delivered. Steak tasted rancid like it was freezer burned. Couldn't eat it. Wouldn't recommend!

Charles G.

Yelp
Always really good food! The staff is always great, and I highly recommend. I had the western omelette and it was super good and I'm glad I did.

Yelp
Not all restaurants are meant to serve salads and this place is one of them. Lettuce does not like to be frozen and this ice berg lettuce is proof of that. I don't like to complain but after this experience, I've learned that it is okay to request a meal that is not up to par, be sent back. I ate the hard morsels of chicken and the toppings that concealed the unpleasant, frozen lettuce that began to slowly thaw. I was incredibly hungry so I picked at the first layer of this salad bowl. We did let the waiter know that the salad was unsatisfactory and we were given 50% off of the salad. Service was okay. Ambiance was mediocre, we enjoyed the sun out on the outside patio.

Kathy A.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast- would highly recommend. Had the senior omelette & biscuits & gravy.

Vladimir K.

Yelp
Amazing place. We've been coming here for years. Not exaggerating :). Best service ever. Food is consistently delicious. Great presentation. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Sometimes have to wait a bit due to the restaurant being so GREAT. Our waiter Paulina is very attentive and always friendly. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Sandy's team for doing such a Great Job. Shout out to the cooks for preparing tasty food.

Yelp
The food was very delicious. I have came two separate times and was happy with the quality and taste. The service is very welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food and portions are filling! We really enjoy bringing out of town guests and everyone wants to go there whenever they come back to visit us!!! Home style and delicious! Try it and see if you agree with us

Yelp
A little bit of a wait but worth it for the good homey food. Menu is more extensive than expected and everything sounds so delicious. I got the stack em up option of 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon. And we also got the chicken fried steak with sunny side up eggs with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Really cute decor inside.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Half way through breakfast my husband found a hair in his omelette. He quit eating. Yuck! The management took 1/2 price off his meal. Seriously! My pancakes were just okay. Not thick and fluffy. Side of bacon was cold. I'm a sensory eater, so cold food is a no-go for me

Lourdes R.

Yelp
Food was very good very savory , the service was good people very amable , attentive and friendly . The ambiance was good seemed very friendly and busy place .

Yelp
I had a nice breakfast here at Sandy's Country Junction. The service was good and friendly. The best thing was the staff kept regularly checking tables for coffee fill ups, not many breakfast spots do this, so huge plus. The food took a little longer than normal to come out, but not a big deal. The breakfast was good and solid. The hash browns were crisp, but not over done. The ham was flavorful and added to a good tasting breakfast. I felt the prices were a little high for some basic breakfast options...but what isn't higher than normal these days. All in all a good experience. Thanks for having me.
google avatar

Kimsa N.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service. Huge portions. But food itself was flavorless and lacked any contrasting texture. Everything was soft and was either salty or sweet with no other flavor.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Good food, eggs benedict was yummy. Big portions. Gravy and biscuits was also delicious.

Yelp
Old Town Clovis is country. The name of this cafe is country. And the food, well, it's authentic country. I should know. I grew up in the Valley, so I know what Valley tastes like. Granted, all I had was the Station Master sandwich. But the way they put the ingredients together - roast beef, onions, Ortega pepper, mayo - it's representative of local recipes three generations old. Meanwhile, the Hunny had a truly Texas entree, the chicken fried steak, and she said it was comparable to what they serve "back home." Inside, it's not totally old-school Valley, but it's close enough. Decorations from ranches in outer Fresno County. Tables have ads for local businesses. All they need is a sound system playing music from the Maddux Brothers & Rose (Modesto), the Gospelaires Quartet (Fresno), and Buck Owens & the Buckaroos (Bakersfield). Breakfast & lunch only, and majors on breakfast. Easy street parking. Indoor & outdoor dining. Medium pricing. Sandy's Country Junction is THE place to eat if you want great food with a real Central Valley restaurant experience.

Yelp
The service here was great and they worked fast. We (party of two) came in, we were greeted, asked for seating preference (inside/outside--chose inside), sat down, and was given a menu. 10 minutes in, our order was taken. I had asked about their cinnamon rolls to see if it was homemade before ordering and the waiter said it was so I went with the order and asked for it to come with the meals. Our meals arrived within 10-15min, which was quick. Unfortunately, and with the high ratings this restaurant received, I was a disappointed in how my food came out and tasted. The cinnamon roll arrived first and I was really disappointed to find out, there was a high chance they reheated the cinnamon roll in the microwave, a HUGE NO NO. I've eaten enough bread/bakery products that which have been reheated in the microwave to know what the taste and especially the texture of it is like. The outside was hard (not crispy, but stiff) and hard to cut through with the butter knife and fork. The inside was warm, but the bread texture was dry with no moisture. Again, BIG disappointment. Next, came our meals. I ordered the country fried steak and my sister had ordered the Wild West omelet. Disappointingly, my steak was super chewy, floppy, and no crispy texture. Again, another disappointing menu item. Sadly, out of my whole meal, I only enjoyed the rye bread. Fortunately, my sister's omelet tasted good and so did the French toast. If I come back, it definitely wouldn't be to try the cinnamon roll and country fried steak again.

Yelp
Food is ordinary breakfast the type of fast food ! Pancakes are not good at all and prices are too high for the low quality food!! They can make it better !! Service is really good !! Nice girls!!

Yelp
My go to breakfast restaurant. Food is good and comes out quickly. Servers are awesome and attentive. My coffee cup is always full . Nice patio if you want to eat outside and enjoy the weather.
