A Northside go-to for fine Italian, Sangiovese pairs a cozy, refined room with long-loved dishes like osso buco and linguine con vongole. Regular participant in Devour Indy and praised by local writers for attentive service and a thoughtful wine list.

I had a great evening out with colleagues while in town for a few days. There were 6 of us in the party and everyone enjoyed their meal. A few of us started off at the bar for drinks prior to the meal. Our bar tender was great! A glass of broke (not her fault) and she was on top of getting everything cleaned up. She also kept apologizing- again it wasn’t her fault. She was great! For appetizers, we had 2 orders of the heirloom tomatoes with burrata, olive oil, basil, and balsamic and an order of meatballs. Everything was good. The heirlooms didn’t taste home grown but I’m from the south and the heirlooms from my garden are in full swing so I can be a bit biased. I would totally order that again though. I shared an entree with a friend- we had the fettuccini Alfredo and pollo Alla Siciliana. The white wine sauce was my favorite from the chicken dish. The Alfredo was good but nothing special. Others had one of the daily specials of Gnocci, surf and turf, linguini. And lastly someone had the mushroom farfalle. Everyone shared a cannoli for desert. There wasn’t a complaint about the food. Our server, I wish I could remember the gentleman’s name, was amazing. He took great care of us. For the owners or whoever reads this, the gentleman decided not to go to law school 🤣🤣🤣🤣. He will know the reference. Great visit over all and I look forward to coming here next time I’m in Indy.

Google
Wow, double wow, excellent food. I know my Italian, this is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. If you follow me, you know how many restaurant reviews I do, and I loved the salad and the veal with angel hair pasta, best butter sauce and capers ever! I will give this recommendation to my family when they visit Indy. Get the bread, so warm and addictive!

Food was delicious! I have been to Italy twice and this is authentic. Huge servings and excellent service,

Google
My wife loves Italian food so we've tried most of the different Italian places in town. Mama Corolla's is my wife's favorite & is the standard that we use to measure all others. Sangiovese is the first place that she's put anywhere close to on Mama Corolla's level.. & to be honest, I think they may have even surpassed them.. when I ask her now where she wants to go, whether it's for a romantic date night, or just to get a carryout to take home.. Sangiovese has become her go to..😋

Google
The food was delicious; the salad was lovely, great contrast between the blue cheese and the rest of the greens. The main dish was slow cooked veal shank with risotto. It was big portion and hearty for sure but it felt homemade. Would go again for more dishes

Google
Our group tried several dishes and they were all fantastic. We had the best waitress and she was training and still super attentive to us. She was funny and engaging and that always makes the experience so much better. Definitely recommend!

Google
My wife and I came here for our anniversary and the service was phenomenal. They've mastered the balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy time together. Both Emma and Josie were amazing and we are looking forward to coming back. PS, the cannoli was delicious.

Google
Excellent food and atmosphere. Oliver was an excellent server and surprised us with cannolis. The pasta was HOT which is great. We will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Again, another wonderful pasta night! Josie is the GM at this location and she knows her stuff! If you need recommendations or ideas, ask for Josie. We had a wonderful server tonight at the bar, Pamela. She was visiting from the Fishers location and she was on fire! Made everyone feel welcome and she was rocking the bar area. Lots of smiles and laughter and good food. Tonight we had two of the specials, the halibut with crab and the linguini special. WOWZER, flavor filled the linguini and I tried the hubbies halibut and it was amazing! We had a wonderful evening and had great service tonight. Only thing I was complain about, the heirloom tomatoes were cold and hard, so not pleasing with the surrounding components. The burrata was amazing and the drizzle mixed in well with the greens. PROS: Wonderful atmosphere, dimly lit and perfect for any occasion Real Italian food Wonderful selection of wine, including a wonderful Super Tuscan CONS: Parking can be difficult at times NOTHING, go, go, go

Yelp
Food: All of it was spectacular! First we were served fresh bread with infused oil. Bread was soft yet still crunchy and warm. Oil was superb! I loved both appetizers. The Heirloom salad dish with tomatoes, spring mix, burrata with balsamic was so fresh and tasty! The calamari had a variety of pieces and was so delicious. That aioli really set it apart. The pasta was amazing! I loved the veggies included and the protein was seasoned well. That tiramisu was one of the best in the city Service: Our server was attentive, communicative and very kind! Ambiance: It is a small, intimate vibe that really sets the stage. While I enjoy intimacy, the walk aisles were narrow. A few times servers walked with trays over my head to fit through. Also the day we walked in, the air conditioning was barely working. It was warm in there and it would've been nice if the staff initially addressed it and apologized vs us having to bring it up and ask. Would recommend this vibe for an intimate date or girls night out

Yelp
So apparently I tried this place back in 2021 and I gave it 3 stars. I gave it another shot and went back and I really enjoyed it. We arrived right around 5pm and didn't have reservations and were able to be sat right away. At that time there were just 2 other table occupied, and it was really quiet. Upon walking in its really rim and the decor screams grown and sexy. We were sat at a really small table and felt we needed more room and asked to be move. The server moved us and agreed it was a little tight and didn't make us feel uncomfortable for asking to be moved. We ordered mussels which I must say weren't the best. They needed more flavor and they tasted a bit gritty, but I think it's hard to do mussels sometimes so not upset by it. The rest of our order was very good. I loved the service, the music and my food was good. Therefore I felt inspired to update my 3 to a 4!

Yelp
We came here for our first time for our anniversary, we normally don't eat pasta but we wanted to give it a try! As soon as you walk in it's a very dark, steakhouse type vibe, they had an extensive wine list, and they offered some really good specials, we actually ended up ordering the specials instead of the pasta but we'll definitely try it the next time!! My fiancé got their filet special cooked medium and it was cooked PERFECTLY! He was very happy with his meal, I went with the Halibut Special they had with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, the sauce on the halibut was soooo good! Then they brought us a special dessert for our anniversary and it was perfect for our sweet tooth! Oliver was our server and he was very attentive and made the night a good one! For sure recommend for your next date night!

Yelp
I've been to both Sangiovese locations, and you really can't go wrong with either. The Fishers spot is bigger, while the Ironworks location has a more intimate, cozy vibe -- perfect for date night. The food? Always solid. If you're in the mood for good Italian, this is a go-to.

Yelp
Visited for the first time last week on a weekday night. Service was fantastic -- our waitress was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and had a great conversation with the person who brought it out. 10/10 no notes on service. I was left wanting on the food though. Our party ordered the veal marsala, a penne and Italian sausage dish and the alfredo. It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't great. All three dishes just felt a little bland, I don't think any of the pasta is homemade. Not the worst, but given the choice I would go to Iozzo's or even Vicino instead.

Jerry S.

Yelp
Great waitress, Sandra, tasty food and a very calm and warm atmosphere. Reservation is highly recommended as the hostess will know if there is a special occasion

Yelp
We visited Sangiovese Ristorante for the first time recently and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was super cute. I loved the dim lighting and the decor. Our waitress was super attentive even with us being a large party. She quickly brought everything we needed. Now on to the good part....the drinks were strong and the food was good! I started off with a strawberry lemon drop and it was absolutely delicious. It definitely hit the spot. For our appetizer, we ordered the fried ravioli which arrived to the table piping hot and crispy. The filling could have used a bit more salt, but they were good nonetheless. For my entree I had the tortellini and THAT was amazing! I finished the whole dish. It was very very flavorful and it will keep you coming back for more!

Yelp
This is a wonderful find around the Indianapolis area. We were struggling to figure out what restaurant to eat around the mall area. We easily got reservations on a weeknight for dinner. The staff was super friendly and the Italian food shows a layer of complexity and ingredients used. My penne alla emiliana had a wonderful depth of flavor. My only critique of this dish I wish the red onions were caramelized more. At times I felt that I was eating undercooked onions, but overall the pasta and the sauce combined well for a wonderful dish the overall ambience is sort of a quiet darken dining room. This is perfect date night restaurant. The complementary house bread was also perfect.

Yelp
I had a lovely evening here with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was so kind, helpful, and cheerful, and the ambiance was very cool. We got a table in the corner by ourself and it felt very romantic. The food was some of the best I've had in a while - I loved the goat cheese appetizer. I got a clam linguini that had my wanting to lick the sauce of my plate when it was finished. And my husband ordered a veal entre with garlic lemon butter and capers, and it may have been one of the most delicious things ever to grace my tongue. High praises for this restaurant!
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
This place is a hit. It never disappoints. My husband has a few food allergies and this is the only place that has offered him amazing accommodations-- like a topping of sausage in place of shellfish. Simple but not common! We are big fans.

Abbi S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this quaint little Italian restaurant. The food was really delicious, and the service was wonderful! The waiter really knew the menu very well, and made great recommendations. Totally would recommend for a romantic date night.

Yelp
First time to this location for a friends birthday. They were very accommodating when I requested to add two to our reservation. The ambiance is nice, it's a little loud as it's basically one room, so be prepared to talk loud. The service was friendly but slow. They were pretty busy for a Saturday, but it still took a long time to get drinks. The food was great. I don't go out for Italian food often, but this was really good. The seafood pasta special was super delicious! All in all, I would go back and would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was good and pasta was decent. Didn't seem like pasta made in house, but would recommend if you're looking for Italian

Yelp
What a great place for celebrating, especially during Devour. My friend made a reservation for her bday and they had a little sign, and with dessert there was a candle to commemorate. The inside was a lot smaller than I would have thought, but there a little room off to the right. The food was great. There was a nice crusty bread with olive oil to dip, I would 100% get the soup again, my friend added the lump crab and said it was def worth it. The chicken Marsala was just right. The mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with it was yummy.
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
This is our favorite Italian restaurant. The ambience is nice with dim lighting and rustic decor woods and black iron. The food is delicious. We had a party of 9 to celebrate my daughter's bday; and everyone had great food and a great experience. We had the goat cheese as appetizer and it was rich and served with a baguette. Fruti di marre- ordered this with angel hair pasta. It was absolutely delicious. It's the husband's favorite thing to order and the only place that gets it right. Cooks the seafood perfectly. Tortellini was delightful. Added crab to this dish. The birthday girl loved her spaghetti! Our server did a nice job with our large party.

Yelp
Pros: -place is quaint and well decorated inside, it gives the vibe of a high end restaurant -there were lots of menu options and suitable for those who like basic Italian to those who like to experiment. Lots of seafood pasta options. -there are daily specialties that also sound really good -free warm bread with olive oil Cons: -the service was lacking. We were at dinner for an hour and a half and I only got one refill on my empty tea the entire time. Our waiter said they'd bring refills multiple times but didn't. -the lasagna was just okay. Missing something to make it flavorful. Overall, I'm glad I tried it because I've always wanted to, but I'm not sure that I'd go back.

Yelp
This restaurant has an old Sicilian feel to it. From the employees to the decor it's ambiance is truly perfect. Very cozy and a spot for a very nice dinner or date night. Being new to this place we did like we normally do and tried a few appetizers. We got the INCREDIBLE meatballs which had a chef's spice to perfect the flavors. The mussels were amazing and didn't have the usual heavy broth. Both were EXCELLENT!!!! I ordered the lasagna and it was heavy with meat sauce not ricotta to my pleasant surprise. Our second meal was the Penne Alla Emiliana which had very good sausage. This is a MUST on places you have to try. NOM NOM NOM!!!! Special thanks to Kennedy. She was an excellent help with deciding meals and service over all. I will say as it's a large lot I saw there was only 1 handicap spot in front of their restaurant. I had to be dropped off since someone was in it so expect not to have one. This is a HUGE parking lot (2 in fact) so it's disappointing. Otherwise it's all EXCELLENT and that's a heads up.

Yelp
This is the closest to authentic Italian food we found in the Indianapolis area. The ingredients are always fresh, the sauce is always on point and the food is always cooked to perfection. It's a small intimate restaurant so it's never over crowded and the staff is always polite. This restaurant is great for date night, fine dining or if you're celebrating a special occasion. This is one of our favorite spots. If you're considering taking the kiddos I would check the menu before you go because although kids are welcome they did removed the pizza off the menu but they do offer butter noodles, ravioli, spaghetti and alfredo noodles with sauce and if your kids play over their food a family outing can become kinda pricey.
google avatar

Susanne V.

Yelp
Very quiet and nice inside. The service was good all dinner long. Good wine menu and so many delicious options. We had the muscles and fried ravioli for appetizers and they were both great. The burrata salad was lovely, with a nice creamy center. My husband got the oso buco and it was fall off the bone perfect, but quite pricey. I got the tortilini and it was pretty good by soooo salty. The dessert menu looked great but we were too full to have anything more. Lovely place all around and might come back when in town.
google avatar

Julia A.

Yelp
It's so hard to find a nice Italian bread that serves the table free bread, but not here!! The food was rich, fresh, comforting, and excellent during our last few dining experiences! Sangiovese always delivers - if you're looking for a new date night spot, this is the place. I highly recommend the farfalle con funghi - so flavorful and perfectly cooked all around. The bruschetta is also wonderful. I will warn that the goat cheese appetizer and bruschetta come with a lot of bread, so get ready to go home with plenty of leftovers (their food reheats well). Service is always impeccable.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for a celebration or romantic dinner. I started my meal with a Caesar salad with anchovies. The dressing was light and had a delicate hint of lemon. For the main course, I selected the Tortellini Alla Effie, a cheese tortellini with spinach, shrimp in a vodka cream sauce. Our server was wonderful and overall this was a great fine dining experience.

Yelp
We made a reservation for my husbands birthday to come here. Honestly, I wish we made a different choice. We went in and got our table , I reminded them we were there for my husbands birthday and they brought out a nice 'Happy Birthday' table sign. Then, someone brought us some water. After that, we waited for about 35 minutes with no one to come check on us or even a waiter acknowledge us. It wasn't until I saw someone that worked there finally walk by and I explained the situation... and on my husbands birthday. She apologized and sent someone else to check on us and made it up by sending out an appetizer. Then were given a waiter - whom wasn't really as attentive to our table. The ambiance was nice and rustic, but this experience started to ruin it for me. We tried to make the best of the night and enjoyed time with each other and his mom whom was celebrating with us. They gave him a tiramisu for his birthday at the end of dinner- they actually gave us all 1 each. It was the best tiramisu I've had in a while.

Yelp
Sangiovese has always intrigued me from the Ironworks parking lot. I've always heard pretty good reviews from friends and family, but there's definitely been the occasional "didn't live up to expectation" opinion. The interior is great. Nothing extremely fancy, but is a fun space for a nice dinner. The server, Andrew, was great as well! The old fashioned was very good! We split a caesar salad, which was just OK. And I ordered the chicken parm, which was solid, but not knock-your-socks-off great. Lastly, we celebrated my wife's birthday and very much appreciated the free tiramisu, which was very good! Ultimately, with many great italian options around Indy, I'm on the fence on whether we'd choose Sangiovese again over others.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
After driving past Sangiovese for months and hearing so many great things about it, I was so excited to finally try it! It was a bit loud when we sat down for a weeknight dinner, so keep that in mind. However, it did clear out and quiet down towards the end of our meal. Our waiter was very personable and friendly. For starters, I had a Caesar Salad. It was nothing special, and a bit disappointing. The complimentary bread was good. I ordered the Tortellini which was made with spinach, shrimp, and a vodka sauce. It was tasty, but was a bit disappointing. The pasta was a bit over cooked, and all in all the meal was nothing to write home about. It was my birthday, so they did bring out a complimentary slice of Tiramisu. It was delicious and I did really enjoy that, and it was nice for them to include that!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the location in fishes but this one really let us down. We were sat at the bar and the service was terrible. We were the only table and our server was too busy conversing with the staff to both checking on We started with the Gamberi Alla Griglia it was truly delicious. Unfortunately our server removed it from our table before we were even finished eating it. My husband got the fettuccine with chicken and I decided to get the special, seafood ravioli. The Alfredo wasn't good, it wasn't as rich as you'd expect the chicken was fairly bland. I did enjoy the seafood ravioli. I think it was overpriced but delicious. We spent 100 on an appetizer two entrees and dessert the service and food just didn't match the price. I would venture to the fishers location.
google avatar

Kiana F.

Yelp
My lasagna was not good, however, I loved the blue cheese salad and the service was pretty good. Dark, sultry spot for a date or pre-drinks with freinds.
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
We went here for a friends birthday dinner and we definitely felt special with how the server recognized we were there for a celebration. I had the friend ravioli for an appetizer and the chicken parm for my main meal and both were so good :) the moscato was also so fire! It's a cozy little spot that feels like fine dining.
google avatar

Yiesha B.

Yelp
Great service! Kudos to Jessica! I reserved a table for 6:30 to have dinner with a friend. I've only been there for drinks, never for dinner. I love the vibe and speakeasy vibe. We had appetizers, drinks and dinner. The live and let die cocktails were amazing. The Bulleit Rye is infused in house. It was really, really, really good. We enjoyed all of our food. Our waitress Jessica was very attentive, kind and she also was helpful on their specials regarding what to choose. I love seafood so the bacon wrapped shrimp was really good. It's on the salty side but it pairs well with the salad that accompanied it. My meal was good as well. I had ravioli filled with seafood with a tomato sauce. It came out a little cold. They were really nice about tossing it again but I was so hungry that I just rolled with it. Other than that we enjoyed our evening. I would definitely suggest this place. I'll be back for that cocktail for sure! Great place to hang out with friends or for a date night. Prices are reasonable and the staff was very professional and accommodating.
google avatar

Mang W.

Yelp
The food is expensive. The restaurant is just like a non fancy restaurant with a fancy price and the taste of the food is bland. I've did a pick up and have to stand there for quite a while before anyone ask me if I've been help.
google avatar

Prity K.

Yelp
Great food and awesome service. We were celebrating my daughter's 10 year anniversary and had reservations at a popular Italian restaurant. Not going to name them but we were disappointed with the snooty wait staff so left without ordering. We drove over to Sangiovese and had a great evening. Andrew ( our sever) was responsive, attentive and welcoming. The food was incredible. And the warm service was icing on the cake. Glad we chose to come here. We didn't take pics of all the food. The toasted ravioli, calamari and meatballs were outstanding. They brought out a piece of Tiramisu with a candle that was a nice touch on my daughter's anniversary. Going to bookmark this restaurant for future.
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Good food and service were great. I believe their prices a little too high. They have delicious Osso Buco.
google avatar

Tova B.

Yelp
just ate here and it was alright! the gluten free pasta was good and i had the sun dried tomato, caper, chicken pasta and it was yummy! a little too salty for my taste but other than that it was great. came out cold the first time but they gave me a heated one right away. also had the caprese salad. unfortunately the tomato soup was not gluten free :( it happens ‍ the service and ambiance were both great. loved the waiter and how attentive he was.

Yelp
Ambiance- Smaller than I was expecting, but overall I felt like we had enough distance from other tables and the lighting was good. Service- the waiter was kind & attentive, I wish we would have gotten some Parmesan for our complimentary bread (to mix with the olive oil) don't know if this was necessarily his fault or not though. Probably just the way the restaurant runs. Drinks- drinks were good. We got a Pinot noir, vodka lemonade, and a dessert martini. Drinks were on the stronger side- I would hope so as they were 14 dollar drinks. Food- we started off with the mussels in the broth. The broth was delicious, very lemony and garlicky (we ended up dipping our bread in it!) and the mussels were average, had a slightly fishier, sea taste to them then preferred. We are in Indiana though, so can't expect the best seafood. We then got the special for the night (a penne pasta with smoked paprika sauce, Italian sausage, shrimp, and peas) the dish was nice and flavorful. Nothing to write home about but was a good choice. We also got the Rosticciana and WOW! Now that was the star of the show. It was bursting with flavor, had the perfect amount of saltiness, and the textures and flavors of the pork loin, Italian sausage, and Gorgonzola sauce complimented eachother well. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and well whipped, dense, but fluffy at the same time. The green beans were a nice palette cleanser, possibly grilled and brushed with butter, nothing too fancy. We ended with the chocolate mousse cake which was delicious. Very light and chocolates. Additional thoughts: I would go back here. There was no wait and we had no reservation. Giving 5 stars but here is where I would pick up the slack: give people Parmesan with their bread. Source some better mussels. Overall the price for what you get is great. Big portions at an affordable price for a pretty nice restaurant. Didn't have to wait either without a reservation.

Yelp
We loved the decor & ambience. Our server was fantastic! I had a glass of Sangiovese red wine, which was great. We had the fettuccine Alfredo & lasagna alla bolognese. Both were delicious.

Natalie J.

Yelp
I was really bummed about this because in the past, I've enjoyed it greatly here. My family asked where I wanted to go eat and I said here. I was completely and utterly disappointed. I got the heirloom salad to start and the tomatoes were essentially mush. The entree I ordered, tortellini Alla Effie was inedible. I took two bites and could not get over the rancid taste of fish. I switched with my partner, who at first was brought the wrong dish and had to wait to get what he ordered. We were then upcharged for the wrong dish being delivered because we said we could keep it instead of having it wasted and thrown away in the back. Honestly, it's been so good before. Maybe because it was months ago when I was last here, I was really disappointed and also embarrassed to choose this restaurant because my family did not like their dishes either and said they would never go back.

Cheyenne S.

Yelp
The best mussels in the city!! Plus their house salad and tortellini. So yummy! Both times I went the service was excellent too.
google avatar

Annette B.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! I love the crab bisque and service is impeccable as always. I would recommend getting ciroc or hangar 1 because they are best for martinis.
google avatar

Megan P.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a birthday during Devour Indy and had a great experience. The servings were very large and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. I would highly recommend the cannoli as it was one of the most authentic and fresh ones I've had in town. The service was great and the atmosphere was quiet and perfect for a date night or celebration dinner!

Colleen G.

Yelp
Fabulous service, incredibly careful, professional, friendly, and thorough staff. We had several unusual allergies including corn, arugula, and peaches and they were so careful. They also have completely gluten free options and are very careful about cross contamination. Molly the bartender makes the most wonderful cocktails from scratch and Josie is always so friendly. Kennedy is super sweet, too! If we could give more stars we would.
google avatar

Andi Y.

Yelp
Service was fine but food was very underwhelming and overseasoned. My mushroom pasta dish was drowning in oily and salty pasta sauce. Maybe my palate is oversensitive so others may find the taste of their dishes acceptable.

Yelp
I have no known Italian ancestry, despite my good looks. I'm just an olive-skinned American, but in my youth, I spent copious amounts of time at the home of my best friend's Neopolitan nonna. Nonna had discerning tastes and strong opinions regarding Italian food, and needless to say, we didn't eat at Olive Garden. While she's been gone for 20 years, and I doubt she ate at Sangiovese, she'd certainly approve. Sangiovese opened in 1994 - old enough to be considered an Indianapolis mainstay. Despite its longevity, it has a new home in the Ironworks district. Even though the building is new, the diner still gets a nostalgic feeling upon entrance. The dining room is perfectly dimmed - enough so that Michael Corleone could have conducted business with Sollozzo and McCluskey with anonymity. No old-fashioned toilets, though. For a restaurant, a perfect ambiance is meaningless if it doesn't serve equally terrific food. Sangiovese starts every meal with a basket (or two) of freshly baked Italian bread and provides plenty of olive oil and pepper for dipping. The menu is large enough to ensure many return visits without repetition. I'm partial to starting with the calamari fritti. It's large when shared between two people, so bring the whole family. The restaurant serves many Italian and Italian-American favorites. I come for the lasagna alla bolognese. It's a formidable portion, beautifully presented, and every bit as delicious as it looks. Sangiovese knows how to prepare a seafood dish. While they're not my first choice, my special lady recently got a seafood pasta special, and she really enjoyed it (as did I). The service at Sangiovese is excellent. If you dine here on a special occasion, be prepared for the royal treatment. Sangiovese: Mangia! Mangia!

Yelp
We had a very nice dinner here on Sunday night of MEMORIAl day weekend. Really classy atmosphere, food was fantastic. The meatball app was awesome. We had lasagne, yum! The fettuccine was delicious. They serve warm bread with olive oil. They could have a few more beers on tap, only have 2. But you don't go here for beer. The bus boy was great, most personable bus boy I've ever seen. Added a nice touch to the evening. The waitress was very good as well. Overall a very pleasurable dining experience.

Yelp
Wow- second time here and still love it. The space is beautiful and intimate. Really makes for a special meal. The drinks are beautiful and tasty- really good quality ingredients - I forget the name of my drink - but bourbon, strawberries, ginger beer- fresh but not sweet! The bread with infused oil dipping sauce was amazing. Then the fried ravioli- chef's kiss- such a good treat! Perfectly cooked. The main courses were so good. We both got food with fish and there was so much of it! The Spaghetti far diavlo- was spicy and the sauce was perfect. The menu calls it a spicy garlic tomato cream sauce- but it isn't too "creamy." My dish- the Linguini Bosco Mare was also spicy and delicious- the seafood was great! The sauce was thinner than the cream based but equally as good! A must try - I don't think you can have a bad meal here!

Yelp
Great food, wonderful service. Always pleased when we dine here. The wine selection is always amazing and the bolognese is delicious. We also love the ravioli appetizer.

Yelp
Food - My friend suggested we try the food here. I can't remember the last time I dined at an Italian restaurant, so please keep this in mind as you read this review. I love carbs; however, I wasn't a fan of the food here. To start, my friend and I ordered Fried Ravioli. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it. It tasted amazing, however, and I'd highly recommend you give it a try. Next, I got the Tortellini Alla Effie, and my friend got the Penne Alla Emiliana. I liked my friend's dish more than my own, so much so that my friend gave me his to-go on our way out of the restaurant. The Penne Alla Emiliana is slightly spicy and very filling. My friend had eaten less than half his dish before setting it aside. Although I enjoyed having his plate for leftovers, the Italian sausage with the pasta made this a heavy meal. Funnily enough, I wish there had been less sausage. By the time I finished it, there was a lot of sautéed sausage left over with no pasta in sight. Concerning the Tortellini Alla Effie, I only recommend you order this if you LOVE LOVE shrimp. The taste of shrimp overpowered this entire dish. I was disappointed with not being able to taste the tortellini cheese filling. In addition to the appetizer and the mains, my friend and I got dessert, the Cannoli. The Cannoli tasted okay! The last time I had a Cannoli was when I visited NY several years ago. Although my date doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, however, I do, but even for me, I thought the filling for this Cannoli was almost too sweet. In addition, I could hardly finish it due to being too full from the previous courses. On a more positive note, we did receive their complimentary bread basket. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it! However, I love bread, and this was top-notch! TLDR on Food - Heavy dinner! Buyer-beware, you will leave this place with a full belly! Service - Great service. Our waitress was attentive. She checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. In addition, she let us know when the kitchen was about to close so we could order from the main menu before it was too late. Ambiance - Great ambiance. It's a dimly lit restaurant with candles on every table, making it quite intimate. The perfect Friday date night setting! TLDR - I only recommend coming here if you're starving!

Yelp
What a cool little spot in the Fishers area with tons of food options, a few shops, outdoor seating almost everywhere, a brewery, a cigar lounge, and more. We love Italian, so those are always our first choice when we're all together. We tried the chicken Marsala, bruschetta, chicken parm, and a pasta funghi. The wait staff was amazing and the atmosphere has a trendy vibe. That is what brought the rating up to a 3. The food was mediocre and bland. The bruschetta and the tiramisu were the best things and had a nice flavor. The chicken was tenderized, but bland. The pasta with marinara that came with it was over cooked and the sauce tasted like barely flavored tomato water. The funghi pasta was the absolute worst. It was so flavorless and dry. You couldn't taste the mushrooms and there was suppose to be some sauce on it, but it was dry. It felt like eating cooked pasta with dry plain rub on it. For the price, go somewhere else.
