Sans Bakery

I can't give Sans Bakery enough compliments! Their service and care about items shipped is better than anyone I have dealt with past present and probably future. My sister wanted to order a Lamington cakes for my birthday. Brian made sure I was shipped what my sister had ordered; the six individual cakes that are wrapped(I thought it was the cake). However, UPS in their divine wisdom, deemed it necessary to ship them on a scenic tour. They didn't arrive on time for my birthday but that was NO FAULT of the bakery's. I want that to be perfectly clear. I reached out to Brian and while I was disappointed that I wouldn't get them on time he was so kind and empathetic that I couldn't stay upset for long. Again, I thought it was the regular cake and not the individual ones. Brian said he would ship replacements but once I saw they were the individual ones and confirmed they were still fine to eat, I was happy, my sister was happy, all was well. But Brian wasn't having it, he was unhappy that UPS failed us both. Imagine my surprise when a few days later I received another box of the Lamington cakes! I was not expecting that. I was perfectly fine with the outcome but Brian again is an amazing person and he didn't appreciate that this was a representation of his bakery by UPS's failings. So now I have plenty of Lamington cakes and they are freezable so I put a few away so I can enjoy them later. As far as being true Lamington cake like the original in Australia, it took me right back to Adelaide where I had my very first one! Oh my goodness they're so good! And did I mention they're gluten-free?! I cannot thank Brian and Sans Bakery enough for making my Unbirthday amazing and tickling my palette enough that I sent pictures to my cousin in Melbourne Australia taunting her a little. She can pick them up at the Woolworth. ;-)

I'm not usually one to write reviews (this is actually my first) but I thought I had to given the quality of Sans. Sans provides the most delicious baked goods. I bake a lot myself using various vegan gluten free recipes but even my homemade goods don't compare. For someone that's both celiac and vegan, safe food options are hard to come by. I appreciate Sans for providing delicious options for those with dietary restraints. A must try!

Only issue I have is that I call 100 times no one answers mail box is always full can’t leave a voice mail if I wanted to I emailed 3 different times no response I then take it to social media Instagram them privately no response the communication is the worst I’ve ever seen I recently lost members of my family been trying to order the breads and cookies in large quantities for my family I also wanted to inquire about business inquires for my shop and no one responds hope this gets better. This is a negative 👎🏾 look on your company to have no one there to answer calls or respond to emails in times like these or just period. I never leave comments especially!! like this but I’m disgusted with the communication.

I got a Vegan Zucchini Bread from About Coffee at Sullivan St, NY . and OMG I have tried other Zucchini breads and this one is in the top of my list now 👌👌

The manager was so kind! He got us some items even though we got there so late. Highly recommend this place ❤

We were in New York City on vacation in the middle of December and went to a coffee shop that served Sans gluten-free bakery products. My wife has celiac and needs to be as gluten-free as possible. Upon returning home to Oregon, I was pleased to find that the product could be delivered. I ordered it online and it arrived two days later! So happy to have found this absolutely delicious gluten-free bakery.

Best to order ahead of time. When just stopping by for a quick bite on a weekday afternoon they had very little available ready to go. Ended up grabbing a sugared doughnut, which was a good cake doughnut, but had obviously been sitting there a while as the sugar had all gone to mush. Took a while to find. It's inside in the back of the building.

Shipped super fast - yay! The Lamington was like a dream come true: cake, chocolate, coconut! The only tweak I'd make is to use a bit more jelly/jam. I also ordered pumpkin loaves, which turned out to be really really small (and thus felt overpriced!).

Excellent gluten free bakery hidden inside the Falchi building. While they do sell baked goods at their retail counter here, they primarily do wholesale business to coffee shops / restaurants around the city (e.g., Little Beet, Think Coffee). The retail counter is super small and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. When I visited, they had zucchini bread, banana bread, ginger bread, lamington, chocolate chip cookies, and ginger chew cookies available. Prices aren't cheap ($4.50 for a small zucchini bread) but that's the price of high quality, genuinely delicious gluten free goods. The zucchini bread I had would fare well against any non-gluten free zucchini bread - it was moist and flavorful and delicious. According to their website they can make custom cakes if you order ahead (at least 2 weeks) - perfect for that gluten free friend in your life.

Craved for Lamingtons for weeks! Found Sans Bakery online and gave it a shot. They did not disappoint, I absolutely LOVE their Lamingtons! They came in a sturdy box, nicely packaged! I plan to visit their store when cases of covid go down of course, but for now, delivery works perfectly. I also ordered the Cinnamon Sugar Donuts, as expected, DELICIOUS! They're also, gluten free!

When in NYC I had one of their raspberry bars at Maman! So delicious that I had to order some when I got home to San Francisco! even shipped across the country, they arrived fresh and SO yummy! My gluten eating husband made me share!!!

I traveled all the way from Bushwick by train just to get these yummy treats! I fell in love with Sans Bakery treats thanks to my daily coffee pick up from @DripCoffeeNYC. They're so tasty that I decided to snag some for my family for Thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed them! The only thing I wish is that they were located closer to my house, but then again maybe it's better that they're not.

I am so so so happy with my order! It has been so long since I was able to truly enjoy a cake and cookies. I can say with absolute certainty that this will be a regular staple for me from now on. I'm so so so glad someone told me about Sans!

Loved everything we tried! Including the Ginger, chocolate chip, and vegan avocado coconut cookies, as well as a couple of their breads. Delivered right to us during COVID times. Wonderful to have gluten free and/or vegan options that still taste great. Wish some stores near us would start carrying them.

Sans bakery is delicious! As someone with celiac its great to have such an amazing option. I have ordered custom cakes, cupcakes & more from sans and everything is always amazing. My guests can never tell the cake is gluten free! The goodies in the window are delish as well; the pumpkin loaf , rasberry bars & more! Highly recommend sans bakery!!

Definitely one of the yummiest gluten-free bakeries in NYC. After finding Sans Bakery products in various coffee shops throughout the city, I got hooked and ordered some via home delivery. Some of my favorite items include: Lamingtons, Raspberry Bars, and the Mini Coffee Cakes. All items come individually wrapped and ship pretty quickly.

I ordered SANS Bakery goodies (Original Brownies and Lamingtons) after reading amazing reviews online. I recently found out I was gluten and dairy intolerant so I was very excited to find a bakery that caters to just that! My family was split, my husband and daughter loved the Lamingtons, and my son and I loved the brownies the most! I will definitely be ordering from this amazing bakery again soon. The items came beautifully packaged and shipped very quickly-especially nice for me who was eagerly counting down the minutes till they arrived! Thank you SANS Bakery for allowing me to eat yummy treats once again! P.S. they also kindly gave me nutrition information when I reached out to them. A+ customer service!

All these five star reviews are clearly fake. Do not go to this stupid bakery. I drive all the way from Manhattan to check them out. It said online that they were open. When I got there they not only weren't open but they treated me like crap for asking. They are truly horrible people. Stay far far away.

I simply had to try out Sans Bakery after hearing the great reviews from my friends. Loved the atmosphere, and style of the decor. Every single item that we have ordered was extremely fresh and flavorful. They are very clean and the workers were super friendly. Sans Bakery... Go there, if you can.

If you want some delicious bakery items look no further! In the past, I ordered cookies, banana bread and muffins which were excellent. This week, I sent a gift box of selected items to a friend and she was thrilled with the quality and taste. Sans Bakery makes delicious items and the customer service will not disappoint...friendly and accommodating. Amazing gluten free and vegan options!

Was looking for a gluten free cake/birthday cake for my sisters birthday. She was staying at my brothers house in Massachusetts. I found this bakery via Google, and I ordered a few pastries. By the next day, they were already in Massachusetts! The delivery was super fast. My sister loved the lamingtons!

I was introduced to this bakery by a friend with a gluten sensitivity (I don't) and I've ordered them for myself multiple times since lockdown started - they are so good! My friend loves the lamingtons but I'm hooked on the cookies and the cappuccino muffins. I also sent some to a friend in Denver who has Celiac (she's tried every gluten-free thing out there) and she agreed they were delicious and has since ordered more on her own. Delicious!

Great gluten free bakery with healthy treats that taste not so healthy :) I ordered the chai cookies and paleo brownies for my MIL's birthday (local NYC delivery). Took only 2 days to deliver! Treats were delicious and fresh. The cookies have such complex flavors. Thanks for staying open during these crazy times!

Sans Bakery always delivers fresh and delicious desserts. I received my order one day after placing it! Everything was delicious, especially the coconut avocado cookies and the funfetti cake. Yum!

I ordered Sans Bakery's "Assorted Cookie & Bar Gift Box" for a friend who has Celiac's, and she absolutely LOVED the bakes! The owner was so nice and accommodating, and she responded to my emails super quickly. They also ship around the US which is super nice, especially since I'm not from New York. Might have to order some goodies for myself...

These desserts are SO DELICIOUS!!! And, by the way, I'm a gluten-eater! I have watched my celiac friends literally cry tears of joy when they have had these treats, and realized they taste even better than the ones they can't have at regular bakeries. The cookies and the brownies are my favorites, but that's just because I like cookies and brownies. Bonus points for the excellent customer service and DELIVERY!

Best gluten free Lamington EVER. Perfect taste and it is FLUFFY! I have been disappointed with GF bakeries through and through, but this one is a different story. I gobbled the whole thing in one go. I also cannot have almond and I loved how they are transparent about the ingredients. I am so getting these again!

I was recently diagnosed with Celiacs, and was looking for a gluten free bakery. I'm so happy I came across Sansbakery. I ordered the coffee cake, lamingtons and fig bars, and they're all soooo good. I will definitely order from them again, and the Customer service is A+.

I was in the mood for a sweet treat and I was nearby, so I decided to check Sans Bakery out, since they had so many good reviews. But boy was I in for a surprise! I got their banana bread, 2 blueberry muffins, their vegan brownie and the funfetti mini cake. I'm still in utter shock at how they've managed to remain in business. Each and every single item that I purchased was BAD... bland and gross. On my way home, I literally took 2 bites out of their brownie and I became nauseous. I've indulged in vegan, gluten free brownies many times in the past, from other shops and restaurants, and this was by far the worst brownie I've ever tasted. It's like they don't even try to make their baked "goods" good! I was soooooo mortified that I felt like HAD to write this review in and effort to warn others considering coming here. I have no idea how they've managed to get a single 5 star review.... or anything above 1 star for that matter. I know this review may seem excessive or extreme, but I'm seriously, absolutely disgusted, and I just think others should be able to learn from my mistake. If you still decide you want to try they out after seeing this review, you can try your luck, but don't say I didn't warn you.

The coffee cakes. THE COFFEE CAKES. We had them for breakfast with coffee, obviously, and then for desert with wine because we couldn't wait until the morning to have them again. I have stomach issues and finding this bakery was a godsend while I'm trying to figure out what triggers my symptoms exactly. Maybe it's gluten? Don't care - these are delicious either way and I'll be ordering more asap no matter what.

I attempted to go to Sans Bakery yesterday 5/10, however was informed that they were not opening due to a photo shoot. I was super disappointed as I traveled far to specifically get there. Luckily, Jessica The Operations Manager arrived, and allowed me to purchase a loaf of their gluten free/vegan bread. I was so so grateful. I will certainly be returning to try their other goodies, as the bread is fantastic. Thank you, Jessica, your customer service has gone over and above!
