This was my first time visiting, and I had such a great experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, the drinks were delicious, and the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I had a lot of fun and can already tell this is going to be one of my go-to spots. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Taken from my Yelp: I walked into Sans Bar after following Chris's mission for 6 years. There was a trivia night going on but they waved me in. I immediately felt an overwhelming sense of calm. Audii was behind the bar and asked me what I would like from the menu. She has a warm energy that would invite anyone into this type of space. She made me a non-alcoholic margarita which was absolutely delicious. The night only got better. Chris Marshall, the brain behind this operation, is one of a kind. In theory, he's heaven sent, but in reality Chris is just like all of us sober curious, sober, or allies to those in recovery: he's unapologetically human. From his website, he mentions Sans Bar's mission is "to prove socializing can be vibrant and enjoyable without alcohol." This has been executed with near perfection. He has crafted something so beautiful that words cannot even express the waves of impact he is making. Chris is also extraordinarily attentive to those who attend Sans Bar. A lot of people stumbled in and I was surprised at how many stayed after hearing about how the "all you can drink for $28" was strictly non-alcoholic mocktails & beverages. One couple did leave but there was no judgment at all. Chris and Audii made me well over 10 drinks and I took 3 shots. I was in a safe community with likeminded people and couldn't have felt more at ease or relaxed. I'm stoked for Chris and his continued development (he offers mocktail classes as well as an academy for those looking to start pop ups or businesses with similar goals). I now have a Friday spot & I'm sooo looking forward to next Friday! Check this place out & say Pax sent you.

We stopped by this place our first night in Austin. Glad we did! This place is absolutely amazing. Some of the best drinks I’ve ever had, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The Kobiyashi Maru was one of the absolute best drinks with so many unique flavors! The sidebar was also amazing. Chris is a genius innovator. Rivals some of the best bars I’ve been to in Mexico City and Chicago, giving unique flavors with each drink. Badly wish we had this in Chicago. The space inside is beautiful too and perfect for events. We are so thankful and glad we made it here!

Sans Bar is a great bar to visit. Whether you're sober, observing Dry January, or just looking for a new place to try, sans bar should be on your list. It's located steps away from the capitol but the quaint and moody interior quickly makes you forget that fact. The actual bar is small and filled up rather quickly leaving standing room only so if you want to grab a seat, head in early. The menu offers a good variety of drinks ranging from sweet drinks to those more acidic. They have a $25 all you can drink special that we took advantage of. The Kobayashi Maru was by far my favorite.

Google
What an extraordinary experience. I came with a group of women from MN and absolutely enjoyed talking with Chris and his staff, loved the atmosphere and was VERY impressed with the drinks. I didn't realize NA cocktails could have such complex layers of flavors. I'm not a foodie or beverage connoisseur but I really could taste the interesting combination of flavors. Amazing!! The place felt so welcoming and kInda hip. Chris, we need this in MSP! Just not me, I sure don't have your energy or friendliness.

Google
Don't sleep on this place! Located on Congress Street with views of the State Capitol, it's a hidden gem. They're here on Fridays and, from what I understand, elsewhere on the weekends. I love the concept, and the drinks are so creative. I ordered the Vesper, which had a hint of coconut and a fun surprise--gold glitter at the bottom! My friend opted for the Athletic Beer, a great option that tastes like beer without the buzz. The atmosphere is chill, with laid-back music and plenty of room for conversation. They also have all-you-can-drink for $28. I really hope more people discover this spot so it sticks around! Shoutout to our bartender, who was incredibly patient while we mulled over the drink menu.

Absolutely amazing sans alcohol (free) bar in Austin Texas. Great Range of cocktails that are delicious. Try the Kobayashi Maru! Very unique. And an amazing Star Trek Easter egg.

Yelp
Husband and I walked into sans and were immediately greeted by the owner and bartender. Both were very personable and friendly. They recommended mocktails on the menu based on what we're interested in drinking. Everything was super tasty and loved the conversation with the bartender. She also created a drink for me with some items she had behind the bar. (Green drink pictured: Matcha chai martini) Definitely going to go back. Huge plus for this place is that the do all you can drink mocktails for $28! Steal in my opinion.

Yelp
What an incredible concept! Sans bar is a bar that focuses on non-alcoholic cocktails, beers and wines and building a community where people can feel comfortable no matter their relationship with alcohol. I came on a Friday night with two other friends and was surprised to see live music! The artist was great and added to the rustic decor. There were also a few games on the high top tables. I tried a sparkling wine and a red wine. Both were great at $7 a glass! It was wonderful to see so many people come and go and having great time.

Yelp
Although a little bit smaller than I expected, this is such a cute spot to get your mocktails! For my non alcohol drinkers, you get all of the fun of the pretty drinks without that alcohol taste. And for the people that still enjoy the taste, all of the ritual "alcohols" really deliver in tasting like the real thing! And best of all, such cheap drinks compared to other places (thank you no alcohol!) I also really love all the events the bar has lined up, we enjoyed a great line up of comedians!

Yelp
Loved this place! One of my sober friends came to visit for his birthday, so we stopped by Sans Bar after dinner. It was a cool hangout with a ton of non-alcoholic options, and plenty of seating. We brought some cards, and played games while sipping on our drinks. It's so great to have a non-alcoholic bar where my sober friends can still get the going out experience.

Yelp
Finally checked this place out after seeing a lot about it on IG, but I was a little disappointed. I had higher hopes for the drinks. They weren't bad, but they weren't great. I also wish the vibe was slightly more bar-like. It was pretty bright in there and I think softer, dimmer lighting would've provided a better ambiance. The music was also super quiet and hard to hear. I definitely didn't want it to be thumping, but a little louder would've been nice. It just kind of made the experience a little awkward. I would go back again, because maybe this was an off night, but I will have different expectations the next time.

Yelp
Wonderful service, Chris was so nice and welcoming. The drinks were fantastic and really nice to look at. The location was intimate and really well decorated.

Yelp
As someone who recently has had to go alcohol-free due to health reasons, I've been spending hours googling the best NA alcohol and trying to figure out how to replace what's in my kitchen. I stumbled upon Sans Bar during one of those google searched and was amazed that an alcohol-free bar even exists! The owner was the bartender the night I went and not only made great drinks, but was so knowledgeable about the world of NA wine, beer, and spirits. He gave great recommendations based on my needs and wants and let me taste test things I was interested in. The prices are cheap (and frankly I would pay more!) and the vibes are chill. *Note: the building also serves as a recovery center so you will see messages about sobriety throughout.*

Yelp
Awesome write up in Austin Monthly. Mocktails are the new cocktails. Great night out idea for an inundated, Austin crowd, or sober curious individual. Healthy living is in.

Yelp
So happy this place exist! We laughed till our cheeks hurt, enjoyed meeting new people, & the owner has some mad karaoke skills . Huge selection of mock- tails, AF beer & wine. I'll be coming back. My favorite was the Gold Fashion.

Yelp
Experiencing your events and recently Sans Bar in Austin, confirmed that we need more place like yours. The environment possessed an energy of fun, non-judgement, and community. Thank you for creating a place for this formal misfit who learned that I can still go to a place, socialize and embrace a sense of maturity while holding a sophisticated NA drink in my hand. Sans Bar delivers on this!

Yelp
Love love love! Finally a space where it's ok to be alcohol free. I am so grateful that this concept is becoming more widely accepted. Always liking for places that even serve good mock tails! This is amazing so happy I found.

Yelp
The Spiritless Kentucky and the Ziker Garden Tinic were my favorites! Fun atmosphere and great people

Yelp
So disappointed. Really thought this place was a a cute vibe. Bathroom was so gross. Bartender was rude. Random man following to the exit and watching which establishment we went to. Clearly in cahoots with bartender. Stalking and unsettling predatory behavior.

Victoria C.

Yelp
This place was friendly and inclusive. They had 15$ cover to try all of drinks you wanted. The mixologist and owner were kind and extremely accommodating. There was karaoke outside and the inside atmosphere was a piña colada drinks. It looks like they are open on Fridays and slowly reopening.

Yelp
Awesome concept since I have friends that aren't drinking and need a social place to go without temptation. I think this place would really benefit by having a dessert case and some pre-made cheese and charcuterie plates so people really will want to hang out longer. I hope this place succeeds because Austin has a major drinking problem.

Alexa M.

Yelp
Great environment with delicious mock tails. Serving alcohol-free beverages with an ever-changing and exciting menu. The vibe has an exciting feel for both its cause but also the delicious drinks. Cover is usually $15 with unlimited mock tails and snacks!

Yelp
This place is delightful. Great, unique mocktails. Good music. A great place to go to meet new people. Parking can be difficult sometimes. I'd recommend ride share.

Yelp
Fantastic place to try mock-tails and enjoy the company of nice people. Chris, the owner, has really created a cool spot for health nuts and those who'd rather not wake up with a hangover the next day.

Yelp
Great vibes, amazing people & clear-headed connection! It's been awhile since I perused the possibilities for an evening out, as there aren't many options for one who doesn't drink! But I opted for the challenge this week, which led me to Sans Bar. Open on Friday evenings only (for now), the venue offers music, stories and human connections fueled with mocktails and snacks unlimited for $15. I had a blast and I'll definitely be back for more
