Great atmosphere, great service, great food - sums it up pretty nicely. Located within Brookfield Mall, it’s a great location if you’re at the downtown area or just about to visit the 9/11 Memorial or One World Trade Observatory. Reservations seem recommended - you’d be trying your luck otherwise.

Avoid being swayed by the ambiance; despite its appeal, the desserts taste disappointing and are incredibly overpriced. For two slices of cake, I ended up paying a whopping $34. It's clear this place targets those with money to spare from Brookfield Place, but the quality of the food and coffee doesn't justify the cost.

I really wanted this place to be great, but it was just okay. It's way overpriced, and for everything on the menu, there are better alternatives around it. The atmosphere is nice and the dessert was good but I would really only come here for dessert.

Would not recommend to a newbie in Italian cuisine because of the strong taste. However everything is accurately described and the service is impeccable. Atmosphere is extremely romantic and elegant.

I like the place with nice view when you sit outdoor. Good coffee with delicious sweets like lemon tarte or brownies.

The food was amazing, very consistent with their other locations. The staff was very accommodating to us and very attentive to whatever we needed. Great looking interior design as well. We always have a great time at Sant ambroeus.

Beautiful inteior but way to expensive for average food. The pastas are excellent but everything else is mediocre. I dont recommend the veal especially for $60! The cocltails are excellent

Went here for my birthday, was a coincidence that I was seated at the table that I seem to always sit when I celebrate my birthday. Staff are excellent, service is excellent, food is excellent. Everything that can be expected of a place such as this and more. The General Manager, George, is a nice individual, and overall the atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming.

Just came here on a frigid night with a friend for coffee and cake. The atmosphere was nice and spacious, felt like we had the whole room to ourselves and was easy to talk. They didn't mind that we came for dessert only and let us sit as long as we wished. The waitress gave us her recommendation on her favorite cake. The cappuccino was made very well too. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful fit out internally, classic European feel bar and small internal restaurant. It wasn't until leaving that we saw the outdoor area to the side which was beautiful. That option wasn't offered to us and as such I have marked them down as we were told to sit in a booth. Food quality is great, staff were nice enough and coffee was excellent. Have subsequently had home delivery of the pasta and it was awesome! Highly recommend. I will return, try the outdoor seating area and perhaps revise this review up. Absolutely include on your list for lunch or dinner.

Stopped by Sant Ambroeus Brookfield during Restaurant Week and had a great meal. For starters we had the Shrimp Cocktail and Vitello Tonnato - both very nicely prepared and creative. For the entrees we had the Fettuccine Alla Bolognese and the Salmone and enjoyed them both. Our favorite Sant Ambroeus desserts, Principessa and Tiramisu, were both on the Restaurant Week menu which made us very happy. Service was very professional and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

went 2x in a day, for brunch & late dinner .. Amazing experience ! The location is very convenient, and the space is lovely. The customer service was incredible. The staff was so accommodating and attentive, and very sweet. The coffee was delicious, I ordered drip coffee, both regular & decaf, mom loved the Espresso con Panna, boyf enjoyed the English breakfast tea. The fritto misto was fabulous, so yum !! how to mix of shrimp, octopus, asparagus, and squash blossoms. The shrimp were so delicious the texture, the fried element of it. It was just to die for! I ordered this twice. For brunch, mom and Boyf both got the omelette which they customized to their liking. Both really enjoyed it and the potatoes that came on the side they thought it was simple and well executed. Sister got the LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE which she enjoyed just thought the pasta was a little too, al dente. For dinner mom, boyf and sister's boyf each ordered the FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE which they all really enjoyed again thought it was simple well as executed, and had flavor! They loved a spicy chili oil that they serve, they all agreed was very delicious. My sister got a fish of the day I believe it was cod. She really enjoyed it as well. To end the night we got the San Ambrose chocolate cake, and the princess cake. They were both so amazing. Really loved the ambience the customer service and everything that this restaurant had to offer. Thank you.

A consistent spot for a nice and affordable brunch on the weekend. The restaurant is upscale without being overly formal, and give you time to chat and catch up with friends. The food was good too, we had a variety of avocado toast, American toast, smoked salmons and omelettes.

What an absolutely delightful meal. Came here with a group of work colleagues and had dinner in the private Madison dining room. The star of the show was our server, Ayeryne. She is the absolute definition of hospitality. She was extremely thoughtful, accommodated all our preferences, brought in extra surprises, and made sure every detail was perfect. It's been a long time since I've experienced such impeccable service. We had a pre-set menu, since we were a large party, and everything was fabulous! - Our server sent me out gluten-free bread, which I appreciated immensely, as I am almost never able to eat bread. - The prosciutto was TOP NOTCH (and I am super picky about this one). Burrata was great, too. - They brought me gluten-free cacio e pepe and it made my heart sing. - The branzino was fabulous, including the next day, which is when I got to finish it, because I was of course full by the time we got to this course. - The lemony potatoes were DIVINE and reminded me of my Greek grandma's cooking. - I'm so glad I saved room for PEAR SORBET - what!? The lemon sorbet was amazing, too. - We finished with a bit of limoncello, which brought me right back to Italy. - The wine was great as well. I would 100% recommend this place and I would come back as well.

Is this place absurdly expensive? Kinda. Was my bowl of cacio e pepe perfectly made and was service top notch? Also yes. I really enjoyed the outdoor setting but the indoors is beautiful too and they have an excellent wheelchair accessible bathroom.

I came here for dinner with my family earlier this week, and it was delicious! We sat outside in the garden so that we could bring our dogs with us. To start we got the tri-color salad which was so light and fresh. I ordered the bolognese, which blew me away! So flavorful! I love how the portions aren't too big, so I left feeling satisfied but not overly full. I'll be back!

I came in with one of my friends this Sunday at 2:35pm, the service was awful. We came in for a coffee and sandwich. She gave us the wrong sandwich and kindly asked for the right one, I've never received so much attitude from anyone before. Shame on the service

Went here for brunch with my mom. Absolutely loved it! Great ingredients which is important for my sensitive stomach. The service was top notch and friendly. If I could recommend anything it would be their potatoes and flourless cake *chefs kiss*. 10/10 mom approved too.

I came here for a business meeting for afternoon tea and the atmosphere was great. The ambiance is light and warm with a hint of chic and upscale decor. They did an amazing job with synchronizing accents of their brand through the plates, napkins, and furniture. They even had a pink cake! The staff were so friendly. Though at one point they did get confused about who took our order. We had one person take our drink orders (just tea, not even alcohol) and another person took our food orders. I think my favorite dessert today was the Gianduia. It tastes like a Ferraro Rocher in cake form. Very rich in hazelnut cream and had whole hazelnuts on the cake. It paired very well with a hot green tea. Would love to come back for an actual meal next time.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. My friend picked this place for my birthday and I was not disappointed. The ambiance was elevated but comfortable. It didn't feel like super upscale were people were uptight. The waiter was attentive and gave us our space when needed. Now, onto the food. I ordered the roasted chicken where it's pounded out thin and seasoned well. You get to pick a side which I selected roasted potatoes. I liked my dish. My friend ordered the seafood pasta and it was very tasty and flavorful. I would definitely get those two entrees again when I come back.

Had dinner here my first night in New York with some local friends. The ambience here is fantastic! The dim lights and interior design made this place feel all the better. Service was good, they promptly took our coats for coat check and seated us with a wine menu followed by the food menu after everyone got to the table. While I wasn't wildly impressed by the food, it was still good. I got the bolognese and the flavors were good, nothing too overpowering and pasta was perfectly al dente. However it wasn't anything to write home about. We grabbed tiramisu for dessert and that was a great way to end the night.

Found this intriguing spot within WTC building when I wanted coffee and dessert. It gives off an exclusive fine dining vibe with a bar/ cafe and dessert place on the ground floor and an Italian restaurant on the floor above it. We ordered a latte and the Sant Ambroeus cake, which looked rich and had the most reviews. The coffee was good. However, the cake was dry and stale. We couldn't go beyond a few bites, which was a huge disappointment. The service was pleasant. All in all, I am not sure if I'll be returning for the coffee and dessert again. Might try out their restaurant, though!

Close to ground zero, we went after our tour and had lunch. The crowd for lunch is more business men and finance bros. We stood out like a sore thumb as we were in sneakers and leggings but the staff was polite and never made us feel uncomfortable or out of place. I need to come back for the bakery- it all looked fresh and smelled like little Italy. The menu is easy to read and has lots of options. I barely got an photos as everything that came to our table was gone in less than .2 seconds. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are simple but perfected. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to make us feel welcomed. Will be back soon glad we stumbled upon this gem!

We just finished dinner here, on a Friday night. It's a very beautiful restaurant and it was quiet so it was good for us to have a conversation with our neighbors, but the food was overpriced and ultimately not very good. If you are going to come here, stick with their pastas, which were the more successful dishes, but were still overpriced for the amount of food you get. The service was attentive, but untrained. It felt like their B team was on staff tonight. Very tentative, mumbled while giving us the specials, random plate changes and utensil changes multiple times before we even got food; slow on the wine, just in general a little clunky with everything thoughout the course of the night. As for the food, the salad appetizers were good, but their fritto misto (mixed fried calamari. Shrimp. Asparagus and zucchini flowers) were overfried. You could taste the grease in the batter that was used to coat everything, which made it difficult to eat more than a couple of pieces. Not very appetizing. For entrees, all the pastas we got were good, but not amazing. The burgers we ordered were over cooked. We asked for medium and we got very well done. Tasted like sawdust. The Veal dish was also over cooked. So overall about half of what we ordered was sub-par. I've been here for lunch before and had a very good experience, so I'm not sure why their dinner service was so night/day from their lunch service. Lastly, the cost, oh man, this place is so over-priced. Our final bill came out to $600 for 7 people(4 adults, 3 kids), for mediocre food and not great service. We won't make the mistake of coming here for dinner again. Just wasn't worth the price tag for what we got, so many better Italian restaurants in NYC, it's not worth the time coming here.

Beautiful location, friendly people and attentive staff. We ordered three items, 1) Lasagne - as amazing as the upper east location. This was our favorite and we just couldn't get enough. 2) Raviole - the dough was too thick but the sauce was ok. 3) pizza - it wasn't anything special I highly recommend the lasagne!

My friends ate here before and we were in the area so we decided to dine here. We weren't sure if they were going to seat us because the restaurant inside is fancy and we had summer attire on. Thankfully they did. I got the testa rossa drink. It tasted like a watermelon martini and it wasn't strong so I liked it. I am gotten free so the waiter informed me that they had gotten free bread and I was over the moon. They came out for bread for everyone at the table with some oil to dip. My friend ordered the caprese app, ravioli entree, chocolate cake, vanilla gelato and earl gray tea. He said the caprese salad tasted fresh. He enjoyed his raviolis and all the dessert items. My other friend ordered the spaghetti aglio. She liked her meal but she said it was spicy which isn't listed in any of the ingredients. My sister got the romanesco cabbage with pistachio. It wasn't cabbage he informed us it would be a kind of cauliflower. She also liked her meal but wish it was more food. She's vegan so she didn't have a wide range of options to choose from. The one she wanted wasn't on the menu anymore. I ordered the fettuccine Alla Bolognese but with gf pasta. I was expecting them to offer me gf penne but they had a different shaped called rocchetti which made me excited since it was something new. My food was AMAZING. The best bolognese I've had since being gluten free. The only downside I would say were some of the noodles were alittle undercooked but I'd rather under than over. The portion sizes were smaller than usual but I was full after my meal. Through out the service people were clearing our plates, pouring us water, and checking in on us. The food came out steaming. I had a great experience and so did they. I would go again just hope they add more vegan and gluten free options.

I walked by Sant Ambroeus all the time and decided to grab an early dinner here with the dogs on the patio. Our sever was seriously so attentive and provided great recommendations. I wish I remembered his name! Complimentary bread was so yummy. Imola is a tequila-based cocktail with watermelon, ume, and habanero shrub flavor. The ingredients all sounded refreshing together, but it really tasted like traditional Chinese medicine to me... Definitely not my fav cocktail. Crudo di Cavolini is a raw shaved brussels sprouts salad with a ton of parmesan, toasted hazelnut, and dried cranberries. It's very simple but extremely filling and flavorful. I really enjoyed this salad. Tiramisu is to die for and probably one of the best ones I've had. The quality of the dessert really shined. Despite the hiccup with the cocktail, I still had a nice dinner with dessert!

Food: 3.0 stars Service: 2.5 stars Enjoyable atmosphere, scenic and comfortable. Food was satisfying, I was delighted to see a vegetarian menu and gluten free options. This location is doing an overall a decent job. I'd say the food was not particularly special, relying heavily on cheese and salt with not much else that's distinctive. The Manhattan cocktail I had was way too sweet so I wouldn't recommend. Service was very ok, they got multiple orders wrong at our table but corrected when we told them, a couple of servers seemed like they were confused and kept going back to talk to one of the staff and it was hard to get their attention. I will review once more and more throughly when I try their dinner and dessert next time. For now it felt like an ok place to meet friends or a date. Also family friendly. They took serious precautions with vaccine cards also but were very sweet and polite about it.

My wife and I love this restaurant, the food and service is impeccable. However, as vegans, I'm disappointed to see that they removed the plant-based section of the menu. We really appreciated and loved these dishes. Please bring it back.

Stopped in from a cold November weekend and had some cocktails and shared some nibbles. If you'd like to sit right on the ground level, tables and bar room is a little limited, so come early. Also, be polite and don't have your coat or bag take up a seat. There are hooks, people. Grilled veal panini, an old fashioned and a paloma did the trick, with a splurge of affogato at the end (it's a big order, share it!...or don't, do you!). Stay is lovely and attentive and it's beautiful inside! Take a sweet treat to go!

Service was extremely poor. In paying such high prices, I would expect top notch customer service. I ordered a to go sandwich and coffee. The sandwich handed to me was wrong and I got an attitude when asking to exchange it for the one I actually ordered. They also charged me for the wrong sandwich which was more expensive than the one I had actually ordered. They didn't care to refund me and just stared at me. I wouldn't go back.

Everything was wonderful at Sant Ambroeus! The staff was attentive and our server was great. The burger and fries was delicious! I would go back for sure.

The three stars are for the service. It was impeccable from beginning to end. The wait staff is so kind and as Many other reviewers said, our water glasses were never empty. The ambiance was really nice too. It's a beautiful location. The food left much to be desired. I ordered the Margarita pizza and my dining partner ordered the cacio e Pepe. The bread basket was eons better than the pizza (although the olive oil had a strange flavor). The pizza was only crispy air bubbles. It was like if a table water cracker had been half the width. Further, there was way more crust than actual sauce and cheese. The smallest amount of cheese you can imagine. I know it was good quality ingredients but I was so disappointed. The pasta wasn't much better. The taste was alright, nothing special. We love pasta al dente but this was undercooked. Overall not work the money and probably won't be back

4/5 take out order review I ordered Sant Ambroeus from Uber eats and was pleasantly surprised! ***Must order dishes: shaved brussels sprouts salad add salmon on , Lasagna Appetizers: (in no particular order) 1) We started with the fried shrimp, calamari, and fried asparagus with a house remoulade / tartar sauce. 2) The shaved Brussel sprout salad, peanuts, cranberries, with salmon on top and the sweet honey mustard dressing * 2.5) there was some random salad which I'm not really sure what that one was. We ordered an arugula salad and what came was what looks like shaved fennel and spinach salad.... 3) prosciutto and mozzarella. I love to pair this appetizer with olive oil and balsamic and the bread that they give you. Entrees: 1) lasagna which was crispy on top and cheesy on the inside but light enough to eat before a night out. This lasagna was perfect and one of my favorites in the city! 2) The cheeseburger with caramelized onions on top was good however, we ordered the burger medium well and it came medium rare. I am assuming that's because the chef refuses to cook any meat over medium which I respect. 3) The Cacio a Pepe ....-Rated top-five in New York City by Haute living- ( maybe it's because I ordered it via delivery ‍I wasn't a fan ) it did not have enough salt or pepper and let's just say.... this is not my favorite Cacio e Pepe in the city.. stick to the lasagna you won't regret it Dessert: If you thought we didn't save room for dessert, you're wrong. Of course we had to try the classic tiramisu. It was good eight out of 10

Beautiful dining room. Manager and server were great. Start with Bellini's and don't leave without the stracciatella gelato.

Stopped by for lunch this past weekend . We didn't have a reservation by they were able to accommodate and get us a table very quickly anyways. Honestly service is similar to the one of Michelin star restaurant. Our coats were taken, server was very nice, short waiting time on food, all our questions about food and drinks were answered, our tables were cleaned instantly and we were no rushed out at the end. I got the avocado toast, fries and a latte and everything was very good including the complimentary bread with olive oil. My friend had a chicken salad sandwich/ panini I believe and said it was delicious also. Impeccable ambience. Forgot how much I actually like this place until stopping by. Definitely need to make it a more frequent stop. Didn't take pictures of food but here are a couple of my latte and my friend's chai.

We came here in New Years Eve. I live nearby but assumed it was very expensive which it is so did not stop by. So resolving to usher 2022 in in style, we decided to give it a try. It is a very lovely elegant space, soft music and oozing with ambiance. I ordered the Simple Salmon . It was cooked to perfection and is possibly the simply best salmon I have ever had. It came with a side so I selected a spinach leek side. It was very good. My date had the veal special which he raved about. The service was good responsive . I will say that when our server asked us probably for the third time if we were ready to order and we finally were she quietly said Amazing. We looked at each other and laughed. All and all a wonderful experience.

Came here for a lunch with coworkers; great ambiance for work meetings & very attentive workers. Pleasant service and love the art work. Ordered the bolognese. It was decent. Could have been more generous with salt, but sauce was flavorful. Flourless chocolate cake was good-- not too sweet, which I like. Would revisit due to convenient location.

Sublime experience. The hostess was very gracious and the waiters were efficient. The food was excellent, my friend who is gluten free was able to have cacio pepe and it was cooked very well. The cheeseburger and fries were amazing. My other friend enjoyed the ravioli, and ate the whole thing! I wish I took pictures of the entrees. The principesa dessert was wonderful and very dainty. The waitress Areena (spelling incorrect) offered my friend a gluten free cookie since she couldn't partake in the dessert, very thoughtful. I highly recommend this restaurant! Good atmosphere and gracious staff.

I had the lunch pasta, which was oily and not well done. I wish I had the chicken, which was huge and looked delicious.

If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant near One World Trade, this is where you come. Great service, fantastic food, and good atmosphere. Came here twice with coworkers and was very impressed. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive (which has been rare lately to find in NY) and the food packs a lot of flavor. Everything we had, we loved. Highly recommend.

I used to be a regular at this place for hot chocolate but my recent visit left me disappointed. Hot chocolate was mainly cocoa powder mixed in hot water. It was ridiculous. Never again! Won't recommend to anyone.

Excellent service from entry to exit. Very well managed. Socially distant dividers are properly situated unlike many restaurants. Prestine and food was good. They have a vast menu. I'm not a huge French foodie so my opinion may be from mere preference of taste. I personally wasn't happy that the French toast was actually fruit cake. I did not like it. I'd never had fruit cake though either. It was beautifully presented however. The popular tea I ordered I was not impressed with. The flavor wasn't potent in my opinion. If I returned I'd likely just go for patisserie meetup, because I enjoy its elegant environment and location. Go, enjoy!

This place did not live up to the hype - and maybe the hype is for its other locations. The setup and vibe make you think more business lunch, less date night. The food is quite mediocre - for a cuisine this city should have very high standards for. The pasta is really al dente, especially the ravioli. The Parmesan for the cacio e pepe did not have the usual richness of flavor. The eggplant parm was good. And the desserts were absolutely the highlight. It's better as a cafe than a fine dining restaurant.

Watch out - potentially unsanitary food. We were dining at the restaurant for a special holiday meal with our family, and I was mortified when my wife found a LARGE piece of plastic in her pasta dish. If they can allow plastic and inedible objects in their food, who knows what else they allow to get into their food when they prepare it. Shockingly, the manager didn't even apologize, and they quickly grabbed the plastic and took it away to dispose of the evidence. It's unfortunate as the restaurant is very pretty, but I can't risk my health and my family's health.

Authentic Milanese restaurant, (not the American version of Italian food ) the food was fresh and so good, for my appetizer I had the fried calamari, fried shrimp and fried asparagus basket which came with aoli sauce, then we had the margarita pizza. For my main course I had the creamy spinach ravioli which was heaven and of course I had to have dessert had the gelato with a slice of cake. Walking into this space gives you the feel of Miami vice due to the the color palette and the well placed floral arrangements. The experience and overall service gets a 10/10 for me.

Randomly walked in at 2pm on a Saturday because my original lunch plan didn't work out. I've had this place on my short list multiple times but never ended up going. We waited few minutes and was able to get a seat to the left of the entrance, which is in front of the pastry/cafe takeout area. The table seemed small but was actually sufficient for us to eat. I like the pastel jade green color. Too bad I didn't get a chance to see the other side of the restaurant where all the other tables are. I saw a little and it seemed cozy too. Can't be too picky when I just walked in without a reservation. We had a few minutes to look at the menu. Then the waiter came to tell us about daily items not in the menu. I appreciate how we got few more minutes after that to consider the daily specials along with the rest of the menu. The back of the menu also specifies where they source their ingredients. I'm not familiar with the particular locations or farms but appreciate the recognition. My friend and I both went with the daily items. I got the daily pasta which was spaghetti with black garlic, pecorino, and lemon zest. My friend got the hanger steak with eggs any style. It also came with a side of roasted potatoes. Appreciate how the waiter noticed we were sharing the two dishes when my friend asked me to choose the egg styled. He also asked us if we prefer to have the dishes come out in courses or all at once. We chose all at once. We also ordered a side of asparagus. The daily pasta was really nice. The garlic definitely made the dish so savory and attractive. Wonder what was the medium they put the black garlic in because the noodles were all coated in this dark color. Tbh the savoriness tasted a bit like soy sauce, bit too salty for my liking bit still nice. The garlic bits added nice texture without being too dry or giving smelly breath. The hanger steak was cooked medium as per my friends request. It was very soft and tender despite the doneness. Also appreciate the char on the outside which gave it nice texture and flavor. The scrambled eggs soaked up some of the steak juices but also overall was nice to have to ground the dish with something simple but fulfilling. The potatoes had a nice crispy but not dry exterior. The insides were fluffy and had a faint sweetness. The asparagus wasn't too exciting but overall still appreciate its grill marks because it definitely made a difference. We were thinking about dessert the whole meal since we saw how many people ordered the pastries. Ended up ordering the ricotta cheesecake and hazelnut cake (oops forgot name) Ricotta cheesecake was simple but very satisfying. The soft crust on the bottom contrasted with the gentle ricotta and lemon flavors. The slightly baked outside gives a good crumble but not too rough. It's a simple dish but it tasted refined. Sometimes the simple things are most difficult to make. The blueberries and blackberry weren't sweet but at least they were plump and pretty. Hazelnut cake. From afar I thought the toppings were caramel popcorn. Turns out it's hazelnut! That was the best part of the whole cake because the caramel was just right and the whole nut was crunchy. My eyes literally lit up upon first bite. The rest of the cake was a bit too sweet but I appreciate the bottom crust having crunchy bits. The hazelnut mousse was very smooth. The caramel top layer wasn't too sticky. I also ordered a fruit tart to bring home. I didn't expect much from it but the fruit was piled on top quite prettily. It came out nice too, gentle flavors, and fresh fruit. The berries weren't sweet similar to the cheesecake. The tart was sturdy and uniform but not too hard to bite/cut into. They have a clear distinction of roles between a bus boy/girl vs waiter vs greeter. There were times we told a bus girl about our request but we had to relay it again to the waiter or greeter. I don't mind, understandable. Otherwise, I appreciate how attentive the waiter was and how all the other staff were nice. I was hovering around 4.5* during the meal here but I decided to bump it up to 5* when I saw the packaging of the pastries. It honestly made my day. Nothing went wrong in this meal and I appreciate the service. I was originally hesistant to give 5* because the food was missing a standout point that made it unique and memorable

Service was fantastic and food was great - typical of a Sant Ambroeus location. The ambiance is romantic and trendy. If you're here on a date, ask for a table where you can sit side by side.

I've been curious about this place (nice outdoor seatings that I pass by everyday) @santambroeus and finally walked in after work for dinner. Excellent service and really enjoyed each dish. Portion was actually pretty big so I could barely finish half of my entree after having the appetizers The risotto of the day (truffles) was super delicious and flavorful, and the rice was cooked perfectly. Reminded me the risotto I had in Italy many years ago Would love to come back!

Margherita pizza was very, very wet and greasy - almost inedible as everything seeped out of the pizza before eating. The portion sizes for the salad are barely enough for a small child

The service was great and the ambiance fine but I can get much better Italian food at a thousand different places around the city. Any city in fact. Add in the pricing and you'd be out of your mind to eat in this place. Extremely overrated and over priced. We had pizza, the soup special and eggplant parmigiana and none of it was even average. Go to your local pizza place, order up the same items save a ton of money.

Newly opened Brookfield FIDI/Battery park location. Chic and upscale feel, one side is restaurant and another is a cafe with few seating area. They did not have outdoor seating options but I would think they should consider, due to covid. Stopped by for quick coffee and to check out the new cafe in the neighborhood. Tried Sant Ambroeus Latte, with melted chocolate and espresso, not overly sweet and true to ingredients. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu, but only if they have outdoor dining. They have dessert display as well as ice cream.

I used to dine at this restaurant quite often. It was my niece's and nephew's favorite place to eat. However, last time we went there, we had a terrible experience and we haven't returned since then. As we walked in, the hostesses asked if we had a reservation. I said no and she said, "No problem." Then she walked us to the small tables near the area in which they have their baked goods and coffee. I told her that we wanted to sit in the other area because we were having dinner. One of them said "sure," but the other one said, "no!"because children were not "allowed" to eat in there. She continued saying that only adults could eat in there. Although I was shocked at what she said, we sat down. I was genuinely surprised at this new "rule" as my niece and nephew were 11 and 13 years old respectively. They both have great table manners and are very respectful. Something did not feel right and sitting there was very annoying as people were coming in and out buying baked goods, coffee or drinking near the bar area. I made the decision to leave and asked the kids to follow me. They were extremely upset and disappointed about this but the whole experience was very upsetting for all of us. My niece made the decision to come back and told the waitress that they were wrong in so many ways. I wanted to stay to see if that was the case for other people with "children" but I was too upset to do this so I decided not to do it. We haven't returned since then and we had such a terrible experience that day that the thought of going back makes me feel very uncomfortable. It saddens me that my niece and nephew always want to go back, but they feel a certain way with the way we were all treated that day. There are may thing that crossed my mind in terms of the reason as why this particular hostess did not let us eat in the dinning area, but I would leave it to you to make inferences or conclusions about it.
