The London Pizza Delivery Guide

"Santa Maria is a west London stalwart and, thankfully, they’re still delivering from their Fitzrovia location. Their pizza is both crispy and soft, saucy and all over your face, and the buffalo mozzarella is as creamy as you can get delivered." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

The Ride-Along Report: First Takes From Last Night’s Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"What It Is: A Fitzrovia Neapolitan pizza specialist. Perfect For: Cheap Eats, Casual Weeknight Dinner, Literally Everyone, Vegetarians Whenever we head into Fitzrovia to check out a new spot, we kind of expect an expensive experience. Santa Maria certainly isn’t that. It’s a clean and bright restaurant which was just the perfect amount of busy on the weekday evening we visited. The menu is made up almost entirely pizzas, and they’re good: all rich tomato sauce and thin crispy base. This is what we came here for, although we couldn’t resist that urge to order some meatballs on the side. We were not disappointed. The Verdict: An excellent addition to Fitzrovia serving quality food at reasonable prices." - Sam Collins, Oliver Feldman, Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Eileen Twum

Santa Maria Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Sometimes you just want a proper pizza. Not some jazzed up, caviar encrusted, crust of supreme truffle oil pizza, but a cheesy, meaty, get-some-bloody-sauce-on-your-chin-lad, capital P, Pizza. That’s what Santa Maria in Fitzrovia do. It’s a clean and bright restaurant, which gets just the perfect amount of busy, and although the menu is almost entirely pizza (all rich tomato sauce and thin crispy base) you won’t be disappointed if you order some meatballs on the side." - Sam Collins

Santa Maria pizzeria is a great little Italian, overall providing great food at a great price for its location. Santa Maria is a little Italian pizzeria with relatively limited seating, but a great atmosphere and even better food. We tried both starter and mains, including the gluten free dough! Both starter and main were truly Italian, and extremely tasty. Dough was crisp, not burned and wood fired in their pizza oven. The price was very good at £12-14 for a pizza. They cater very well for those with gluten intolerance and allergies, being able to swap any bread / dough for gluten free. The gluten free food was also of excellent quality and taste - sometimes it's very obvious food is gluten free. Overall a great experience, 2x starters, 2x mains and 4x beers coming to £70 in an expensive part of town - well worth a visit.

I've never finished an entire pizza on my own ever until I ate here. It was soooo good! I ordered the anchovy pizza (forgot the name lol) and it was the best one I had so far. My cousin ordered the truffle pizza with chorizo and that one was 😮‍💨!! The Santa Maria beer was good as well! And how could I forget the tiramisu! Absolutely perfect! 10/10 would recommend! Look at all the exclamation marks! Just go there early as the Fitzrovia branch is quite small :)

Easily the best pizza in the area—and I say that as someone with Italian friends and high standards. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and comes out fast. Dimitri was a phenomenal waiter—super friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. I’ve eaten out a lot, and the customer service here is top-tier without being over the top. Highly recommend!

Very good quality pizzas and not too expensive! The dough is very nice, soft, fluffy. Loved the tomato sauce on it. Had Sant’ Anna and San Rocco. Personal favourite was Sant’Anna with the ham. As a starter, the bread with olio was amazing! High quality oil and good amount of it too. But be aware, you might be quite full afterwards, if you’re 3 people or more you’ll be fine.

Was visiting from the US and was looking for a good Italian pizza place so decided to try this place out. Had the calzone and it was delicious and my girlfriend had the Santa Caterina which she loved. The garlic olive oil was great to add to the crust of the pizza and calzone. Highly recommend trying the restaurant out!

I ordered a gluten-free pizza to go today. When I opened the pizza box at home, all the toppings were squashed together in one corner. Despite the fact that I always kept it straight. So I went back to the restaurant and brought the pizza back. But instead of making me a new pizza, as they had promised, they simply spread the toppings back on the now cold and wobbly pizza and put some olive oil and basil on it - as if I wouldn't notice. I've never experienced anything so brazen! Never again!

Loved this place! I’m Italian, and I always find it difficult to find authentic Italian food while abroad. But this place was outstanding! The Bufalina was perfect! Highly recommended.
