The London Pizza Delivery Guide

"Santa Maria is a west London stalwart and, thankfully, they’re still delivering from their Fitzrovia location. Their pizza is both crispy and soft, saucy and all over your face, and the buffalo mozzarella is as creamy as you can get delivered." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

Frankie and Benny’s Takes Phones off Menu Like Michelin Star Restaurant | Eater London

"A leading London pizzeria is crowdsourcing suggestions on Instagram for the site of its fourth restaurant, which will join existing branches in Ealing, Fulham and Fitzrovia; Richmond, Walthamstow and Islington are emerging as front-runners among proposed locations." - James Hansen

The Ride-Along Report: First Takes From Last Night’s Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"What It Is: A Fitzrovia Neapolitan pizza specialist. Perfect For: Cheap Eats, Casual Weeknight Dinner, Literally Everyone, Vegetarians Whenever we head into Fitzrovia to check out a new spot, we kind of expect an expensive experience. Santa Maria certainly isn’t that. It’s a clean and bright restaurant which was just the perfect amount of busy on the weekday evening we visited. The menu is made up almost entirely pizzas, and they’re good: all rich tomato sauce and thin crispy base. This is what we came here for, although we couldn’t resist that urge to order some meatballs on the side. We were not disappointed. The Verdict: An excellent addition to Fitzrovia serving quality food at reasonable prices." - Sam Collins, Oliver Feldman, Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Eileen Twum

The Biggest 2018 London Restaurant Openings | Eater London

"The third site and the first in central London from the team of Pasquale Chionchio and Angelo Ambrosio brings a pizzeria widely regarded as the city’s best into Fitzrovia in February 2018; the opening responds to rising central London rents by proving that an independent, sustainably run pizza restaurant can expand into the centre without losing its core appeal." - James Hansen

Santa Maria Review - Fitzrovia - London - The Infatuation

"Sometimes you just want a proper pizza. Not some jazzed up, caviar encrusted, crust of supreme truffle oil pizza, but a cheesy, meaty, get-some-bloody-sauce-on-your-chin-lad, capital P, Pizza. That’s what Santa Maria in Fitzrovia do. It’s a clean and bright restaurant, which gets just the perfect amount of busy, and although the menu is almost entirely pizza (all rich tomato sauce and thin crispy base) you won’t be disappointed if you order some meatballs on the side." - Sam Collins

Holy baloney, what a find! Just around the corner from iconic BT Tower. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the pizzas are incredible, wine is fine and the atmosphere is full of chatter, laughter and fun. Great music and warm in the cold snap of the British winter! Don’t know what it is, but this place nails it. Highly recommended! Bellissimo, perfecto 👌🏻

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Taste of Italy in Fitzrovia Santa Maria is a real gem in Fitzrovia – their pizza is wonderfully fresh and truly authentic, just like you’d find in Italy. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, from the rich tomato sauce to the perfectly light and chewy crust. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to bring you whatever you need without delay. I noticed there were only two people serving the whole restaurant, and they were working incredibly hard, yet everything still ran smoothly. It’s impressive how efficiently and warmly they manage everything. A lovely spot for anyone who appreciates genuine Italian pizza and great service.

One of the tastiest and yummiest Neapolitan pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust is perfectly soft and chewy with just the right char, and the flavours are rich, simple, and authentically Italian. The place is cosy, service is quick, and Kaur and the chef were very hands-on and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The pizza came out hot and fresh from the wood-fired oven, and everything was spot on. If you love true Neapolitan pizza, Santa Maria is an absolute must-try. Definitely coming back. 🍕☺️

We had an amazing dining experience at Santa Maria . The Santa Maria Margarita Classic pizza was perfectly fluffy dough with fresh, vibrant flavors that felt truly authentic. The focaccia with garlic and onions was warm, fluffy, and packed with delicious aromatic garlic balanced by pesto . The appetizer with chili—it had the perfect spicy kick that elevated the rich, savory flavors. A fantastic meal that I highly recommend to anyone seeking genuine Italian flavors in a welcoming environment ♥️

Santa Maria pizzeria is a great little Italian, overall providing great food at a great price for its location. Santa Maria is a little Italian pizzeria with relatively limited seating, but a great atmosphere and even better food. We tried both starter and mains, including the gluten free dough! Both starter and main were truly Italian, and extremely tasty. Dough was crisp, not burned and wood fired in their pizza oven. The price was very good at £12-14 for a pizza. They cater very well for those with gluten intolerance and allergies, being able to swap any bread / dough for gluten free. The gluten free food was also of excellent quality and taste - sometimes it's very obvious food is gluten free. Overall a great experience, 2x starters, 2x mains and 4x beers coming to £70 in an expensive part of town - well worth a visit.

This was among the best pizza I've had in London, and the quality here is so good it is definetly something. I had a Pizza San Vincenzo, with fried aubergines and smoked mozzarella (scamorza). It was absolutely delicious, and finding fried aubergines was such a treat!! I had not had them outside of Italy, EVER! To die for. In addition, the trained eye will spot the lettering by Luca Barcellona on the plates, a true treat as you finish your pizza!! Hospitality was great (thank you Mattia!), cheeky decor (although tables were a bit tight!), and delicious food. I'll be back!

I've never finished an entire pizza on my own ever until I ate here. It was soooo good! I ordered the anchovy pizza (forgot the name lol) and it was the best one I had so far. My cousin ordered the truffle pizza with chorizo and that one was 😮‍💨!! The Santa Maria beer was good as well! And how could I forget the tiramisu! Absolutely perfect! 10/10 would recommend! Look at all the exclamation marks! Just go there early as the Fitzrovia branch is quite small :)
