I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE CHICKEN BROCCOLI GARLIC PIZZA….by the pic it’s obviously no good! 😆 Our last night in Salem ended with one of the BEST if not THE BEST pizza ever! Chicken & Broccoli with garlic and White Sauce is absolutely heaven on a pizza pan! The service was friendly and talked to their diners like friends….i told my husband that if “Cheers” were a pizza place, this would be the place!!!! 🍕💚😍

We were in the Peabody area and decided to try out Santarpio's Pizza on the North Shore. We ordered some BBQ meats Italian Sausage😋 Steak Tips😋 and Lamb Tips which were Delicious 😋. Washed it down with some Ice Cold Beers 🍻. Then for Pizza we got a 😋Double Sausage and Garlic Pizza 😋🍕 light on the sauce and well done. Pizza was Excellent. The Service was good. Recommend Santarpio's Pizza if you're in the area.

My favorite pizza ever. It's so delicious. The steak tip skewers with hot peppers and bread are also amazing. My husband and I always stop here (if open) on our way back from the airport when we travel or visit my family. Great, friendly service.

Stopped here on vacation to eat. Best pizza ever!! Great food, service and atmosphere! We were not disappointed! Prices are also on point!

The italian cheese, sausage, and pepper pizza was very good. The undercarriage could have been cooked a little longer, although. It came out very hot, which is what I like. The CBC had way too much garlic and was not hot when it came to the table. We only ate 3 slices of the CBC. The service was great, with a nice location, and no wait time, I would go back but avoid the CBC.

Went on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. We got there at 6 pm and the place was packed; they don’t take reservations. This place has a limited menu because what they make it’s what they are good at.. Pizza and BBQ! We started off with the chicken, steak tips and lamb sausages. The steak tips were a little over cooked, but the flavor was there and it wasn’t covered in sauces GREAT!Chicken cooked perfectly and juicy. Lamb saugages, GREAT! I never had it before they were very flavorful, juicy inside and a little burnt outside..PERFECT! Ordered 2 pizza’s cheese and pepperoni and garlic mushroom onions /peppers. They were cooked well and crispy. Not my favorite pizza place but they were good! Our waitress was nice but totally overwhelmed with the crowds. Plenty of parking but still get there early. If you’re going on the weekend expect to wait a bit, the hostess told us 30 minutes but we were at a table in 10 minutes. .

It’s not east Boston Santarpios but it’s close. Service is good but certainly not pretentious. The pizza is outstanding. Grilled meats are outstanding. Bread is fresh. Hell, I even like the salad. Big bar too. A very casual atmosphere. Family restaurant. Enjoy Plenty of parking

It seems like Santarpio's struggles with consistency, or maybe it has just fallen off. A return visit in late July after a mid-May visit proved disappointing. In May, our pizzas were crisp, hot, and delicious. Lamb skewers were tender and tasty. In July, lamb was overcooked and flavorless. Pizza crust was underdone and while I enjoyed the flavor, it just didn't hit the same. Service was friendly. It was lively both times, and our May party of seven only had a 45-minute wait on a Saturday evening. However, I'd try other pizza places or the Eastie location, but I'd not return here.

Fantastic service! The menu is basic and limited, but the quality and flavor are impressive! The pizza was very good--not exceptional but definitely enjoyable. However, the service could use some enhancements. Overall, the experience was positive.

Have enjoyed going to this location, in the past. Food & service, always good. Not tonight! Pizza, worst I've ever tasted!! Soggy, too much sauce & not enough cheese! Missing ingredients! Ingredients on pizza, I didn't order. Very disappointed!!! Service not up to par, as well. Over charged $47.75, on bill!!! Brought guests, thought they would enjoy. Not the case. I was embarrassed!!

Unethical. Found this sticker on my takeout box, "Servers say vote 'no' on Question # 5" (pic attached) Regardless of where you stand on the issue, Santarpio's doesn't represent servers, they represent themselves - restaurant owners. Shameful.

Our family got seated in a small room with a very loud and obnoxious party of 16 that were dropping the f bomb every other sentence. They were shouting at each other. They also were bragging about their drug use. Not the most appropriate conversation with a 12 year old. There was about 4 four conversations with each group talking louder and louder. Rather wait an hour in the cold at their East Boston location than have this experience. They knew their server so they're probably regulars. Fine to keep them in their own room, but the hostess and waitress should have never seated us in the small room. The sausage bbq was great as always. The pizza was good. Probably would've given it 4 stars if not for the business's choice of seating us there.

For a second time, we have not received our pizza delivery from Santarpio's Peabody, handled by an outside deliverer. They claim to have delivered but there is no pizza in sight. Don't use them.

I'm not big on sauce, so this was my favorite pizza, but my husband loved it. Pepperoni was good, we also ordered the homemade sausage based on all the reviews. Expensive for a plain sausage, but worth it to try it. Super flavorful and charred on the outside. A little spicier than ideal for my sensitive palate, but overall super good.

Ordered two pizzas girl repeated it, go to pick it up she only put in for one. How do you screw up an order that you repeated? So you want to make a second one while I wait and give me a cold one and a new one? No thanks. So three of us had to share one pizza. Hire competent people to take phone orders

Cold, beer, barbecue and good pizza good service o bread, and hot peppers yum... this place just put a smile on my face.. from the original location 30+ years always been an absolute treat.. Still great after all these years here to you Lefty ...... Argentina, Cowboys, Boston mass......

Little Caesars puts out better quality than this pathetic pie. Center was not even cooked, crust was complete doughy from center to 2/3 from the center. Take your chances at dinning in but take out noooooo.

One of our friends who lives down the street from us keeps raving about this place. He finally brought us a pizza for my husband and a skewer of lamb for me. It was really good. We went to the museum of science in Boston the other day and stopped here on the way home. My husband got the meat lovers pizza and I got a skewer of lamb. Fresh and hot out of the oven and it was all so delicious I completely forgot to take photos of the food, LOL! But trust me, if you like lamb, it's super tender and comes with italian bread and cherry peppers. The meat lovers pizza had pepperoni, homemade sausage and ground beef. My husband ate the whole pizza before I could even try it, so it must have been great! Dined in and also got a pizza to go tonight... completely forgot it and started driving away Kimberly came all the way out into the parking lot to make sure we got it. That was so beyond kind... Made my night!!!

Nice pies with a lot of fresh basil and oregano flavor! I appreciate the pies not being greasy and the char, although a bit overdone was excellent. Would definitely go again.

Still a great place, food & staff tried the lamb skewer it is was awesome! Great pub ambiance and family friendly !

The pizza was the worst I've ever had... no real flavor, the crust was hard and the cheese... where was the cheese? Also, there were very few mushrooms on the pizza. The salad dressing was terrible... too spicy. WTH? Why add crushed red peppers to salad dressing?

True to the original, and conveniently located for anyone on North of Boston near Route 1. The pizza from the original location in East Boston is one of my favorites, and this is on par. The toppings are buried beneath some cheese & sauce, so not easy to spot in the photo. The crust is thin, so a fork and knife are a good idea. Their BBQ (grilled steak tips, lamb, and sausage are tasty as well. Only minor issue was a slippery floor in the bathroom.

Just not worth it anymore. Surly waitresses that slam everything down. Tables not wiped down. Pizza, mostly crust now. Scant toppings. Lots more players in town now for competition. Just ok now, but they've slipped significantly.

Whatever you want- order more. It is so good. I got a plain pizza and should've ALSO ordered an anchovy pie. The short ribs I hear were great too. PIZZA. Ultimate destination. I want to move next door --- for real looked into it.

August 4th, 2024 6:00 pm +++ Waited 1 hour for pizza at the bar, no apologies from bartender and had to ask 3 times where it was we took pizza to go, bartenders should not not be able to be on there phones while working. Two couples came in after us and got there pizza way before us. Wanted to get the manager/owners attention who was there but he was to busy talking with a women at bar as he was drinking Miller lite and jack Daniels. Won't be back!!!!

Worst ever! Delivery not what was ordered and they could care less. Avoid them rude and don't care what do ever. can you give minus stars? They deserve it!

Good regular plain cheese pizza, lamb, and steak. Ordered sausage garlic pizza and they use garlic from the jar so beware if you want decent pizza with garlic, this isn't the place for it.

The pizza here is delicious. It's no frills, but that's part of what makes it amazing. The red sauce pizzas are done in a unique way, where the toppings are under the top layer of cheese. Call me a pizza scientist! The white pizza is amazing. I could eat the shrimp scampi pizza every. Single day. Awesome garlicky flavor. The grilled meats are great too. Welcome to old school pizza heaven.

The cheese is synthetic and the oil just drips off it!!! They are saving money but losing their reputation!!! Just go back to what you did!! You are going down hill with that new recipe!!!

We absolutely love pizza and Santarpio's is the best in New England! Our waitress Jade is full of personality and very friendly! We drive an hour and a half just for their pizza, our favorites are cheese and cheese and garlic! They have awesome salad too!

Honestly the pizza is very good, but even though they close at 9, the kitchen closes at about 8 30. You will not get seated past 830 nor can you place a pick up order. When asked, the staff has no answers. Just change your closed time.

If you have to go on yelp to gather info on this place, then your opinion is worth nothing, it's a Boston institution love it or leave it

I went into Santarpios with my girlfriend and my son, a teen who had just got out of work. We were seated pretty quick. Our waitress came over & took our drink order. We ordered sodas my son ordered a water also & she rolled her eyes. About 15 minutes later she brought our drinks & we ordered bread & a pepperoni pizza. About 15 minutes later she brought the bread. Over an hour went by & other people got pizzas & other orders & Ate & left. We never saw our waitress again for over an hour then she came & said she forgot to put in our order for our pizza . Really? When we asked the manager she told us it would be at least another half hour wait for our pizza making it a two hour wait for a pizza. Her reply was it happens. Not at Santarpios in East Boston. Bad business & service.

Tastes like hospital food. Chicken was bland with no flavor, bread was cold & tasteless

So according to some sources the battle for the best pizza in Boston is between Santarpios and pizzeria Regina! So we started our personal pizza challenge and ordered takeout from Santarpios on our way past Boston. Ordered a cheese and a pepperoni and sausage pie. So to be fair we had to reheat these as they were in the car for a two hours. Too thick and dense of a crust with no air or natural crispness. Taste was ok. Disappointed overall. I have had better pizza at a bowling alley in Maine. Did we order form the wrong place?

BURNT PIZZA. We ordered 3 pizzas for takeout. When we got home, we opened the boxes and all 3 pizzas were extremely burnt. I would have gone back but we live 1/2 hour away. The thing is, they absolutely knew that they sent us home with extremely burnt pizza. Very poor business practice. Will not be ordering from Santarpios, Peabody MA again.

Old school pizza place that has keno playing on the TVs. Menu is simple: pizza and barbecue (sausage, lamb tips, or steak tips). Peabody location does offer salad as well.

The worst pizza ever. I was so eager to have pizza after awhile The order came on time . Dry, Salty, floppy and just not appetizing. I was so disappointed.

We come here all the time and grew up going to the one in east Boston. Tonight we walked in the Peabody location at 8:30 the closing time is posted as 9. After waiting for a few minutes, a lady (I'm assuming the bartender) aggressively yells from across the bar that they are closed. I used to like going here but this bad experience makes me not want to return. If they are open until 9, then they should be open until 9. If the employees want to close at 8:30, then why not set their hours to close at 8:30 rather than have an angry lady yell across the bar. Then again, if they change the closing time to 8:30 the employees will probably start closing at 8. I know that if this was my business and my servers were controlling my closing time and business I wouldn't be too happy.

Called for over 30 minutes on Monday between 215-245 pm and no answer . Ordered take out. Got to restaurant which was very dead. Waited at take out counter for almost 15 minutes and finally young girl comes from behind area where counter is with a pen I. Her hand to give me my take out which was like warm at that time. Not sure what she was doing, but service mgr. needs to check I to this.

got a pizza to go.... got all the way home and it was burnt to a crisp completely inedible. was so hard probably would've broken a tooth trying to bite into it... i get ppl make mistakes and burn a pizza but throw it out and make another one before boxing it up and sending someone home with it. idk who in the kitchen thought it was ok to box it up in the first place.... had to drive all the way back to get it replaced. never going back again.

As much as I like the food here, the staff's attitude is enough to make me never want to come back. The attitude, especially from the older staff is very unwelcoming, pushy and rude. Around Christmastime we came in with a large party and the waitress freaked out because we added an extra chair to the table. You can just see the look of dread on their face when they see a large party come in, a look of pure and total contempt. They roll their eyes when you ask for things and basically throw the food at you. You can always hear the staff complaining to eachother about other customers. Not professional.

Great old-style Pizzaria! Food is fresh and hot. If you want something besides meat on a stick or pizza, you're barking up the wrong tree. These guys focus on what they know and it comes out in the flavor, smells and appeal of some of the best pizza north of Boston.

I'll start by saying that we did not eat. We stopped for a quick cocktail before going to an event at Spinelli's. The bartender needs some re-training in two areas: customer service and food safety. Not engaged with customers and sitting on the beverage cooler? Really? Oh and the counter was filthy. Eww

Very disappointed with my pizza. I ordered a cheese, garlic & sausage pizza to go. I've heard so much about Santarpio's. When I got home and opened up my pizza, I was not impressed. 1. It was burnt 2 . Sausage was nonexistent. What little bits I had reminded me of Eĺlio's frozen pizza that I can purchase at a supermarket. 3. Doe & crust extremely hard. I will never go back. There are too many mom & pop local pizza shops who make much better pizza.

This place was amazing. Food was delicious. I really wanted to get a pizza but I wasn't that hungry. If you are in town stop by and try it out. Next time I'm here I'm getting the pizza it looks amazing. Thanks Santarpio's it was great

Love East Boston Santarpios and most of the time the one on the North Shore in Peabody, but someone needs to look into one of the young female workers. I was there on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023. I tried to reach Santarpios by phone for about a half hour between 2:15 - 2:45 PM , but no one picked up. Once I got someone on the phone, I placed my order. When I got there, the place was quiet - maybe a couple of guests. There was no one at the take out counter and I waited there for about 15 minutes. All of a sudden a young girl comes out from behind a table area which is behind the take out counter to wait on me. I was not happy to know that this person was not more available for people coming to pick up take outs. My food was just warm and I would like for someone in mgt. to address this situation I experienced. No one should be invisible when it is not busy and you gave to go orders waiting. I can only assume she ignored the phone too.

Did delivery to the hotel, but that's not the issue. I ordered a two-topping pizza, which wasn't bad. Although it had a bit too much sauce and the crust was a bit crispy on the edges. The pizza wasn't the issue. I got the steak tips and the 5 pieces aren't worth $14. They were a bit small and are also unseasoned and a bit chewy. The site also asks if you need utensils and condiments. I clicked yes, but none came. I was in the area last year and it was a frequent spot for a quick dinner and I gave them a pretty decent review. This experience was definitely a letdown and unless you get more tips for the money, they aren't worth it.

Went here for the first time last week. Our waitress was rude and not welcoming at all. I was expecting a bigger menu. They really only have a handful of items besides pizza. The pizza was good but it didn't have a lot of cheese on it. Also, no cheese was under the pepperoni, onions and peppers (to hold it to the crust) so everything fell off the minute you picked up the pizza which was kind of a pain in the butt.

It is not cute or amusing when your staff is rude. Santario's thinks they can get away with it because their pizza is so great. Guess what? It is not.

Airport location is terrible. the waitress Erin was swearing at customers. I ordered 2 pies and never received them. The manager William saved the day. Erin drove at least 5 customers away with her attitude. Go to Walburgers.

Solid pizza. Won't blow your socks off but it does the trick. Beware of the chance that the Google information for this place might not have the right #. I accidentally called an order in to a different place and showed up to no pizza. Had to wait but they got one out to me in under 10 min.
