Houston’s Best New Cocktail Bars | Eater Houston

"Plush Santé Lounge in Upper Kirby offers a refined dining and cocktail experience, set against a backdrop of vintage chandeliers, jewel-toned lounge seating, and a pair of three-hundred-year-old olive trees. The curated menu features oysters, caviar, and hand-crafted cocktails, each named after a renowned work of art. The Three Pears Old Fashioned, inspired by Paul Cézanne’s Three Pears, combines six-year-aged rye whiskey, barrel-aged maple, and brandy infused with apples and pears, while the Merry Drinker, a nod to Frans Hals’ the Merry Drinker, blends gin, lemon citrus, passionfruit juice, and vanilla. Classic cocktails, from a tequila-based espresso martini to a French 75, are complemented by an extensive selection of wine and champagne. Go big with a large-format cocktail like the Le Fleur-A Fresh Effervescence, a mix of cucumber vodka, mint botanical vodka, an herbaceous aperitif, and Prosecco." - Marcy de Luna

Houston Restaurant Openings to Know Right Now, December 2024 | Eater Houston

"A luxe Upper Kirby cocktail lounge offering elevated cocktails like the Three Graces (an upscale twist on an amaretto sour) and the Three Pears Old Fashioned, a drink inspired by Paul Cézanne’s Three Pears artwork and featuring WhistlePig Rye 6 & Barrel Aged Maple and Pear calvados. The interior is sculpted as an ethereal experience with two three-hundred-year-old olive trees, sparkling chandeliers, a rotating art collection of international artists, and outdoor seating for al fresco drinks. Food offerings include oysters and a build-your-own caviar service, and the venue enforces a strict dress code." - Brittany Britto Garley

Santé Lounge - Review - Upper Kirby - Houston - The Infatuation

"A new cocktail lounge is adding to Houston’s nightlife scene. Santé Lounge in Upper Kirby serves drinks inspired by famous paintings alongside classic cocktails. Take your paloma based on Diego Rivera’s work to one of Santé’s four spaces—the garden room with a bar and olive trees, a room with a DJ spinning tracks, a lounge setting, and an outdoor patio. And there’s a menu full of flatbreads staying on theme (named after famous painters), mezze boards, oysters, and caviar-topped ice cream. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gianni Greene

First time in Sante, and it wasn’t too bad. It felt like there was limited staff so it took a little time to get some service. However, when our waiter came, he was nice and the food and drinks were a 9/10. We stayed indoors for the most part, decided to check out the outside seating area, the music was meh and it was a bit crowded so we didn’t stay much longer.

Let’s talk happy hour! This place is the perfect spot to grab cocktails, mini martinis and even caviar 😍 and the service? Very welcoming! Dwayne made sure our drinks stayed full and our food came on time. Just know you will pay a reservation fee of $10 pp but it goes towards your tab so no biggie. Place is a vibe and will be back.

Sante is absolutely beautiful and always has great vibes. They have a surprisingly great happy hour with $5 mini martinis and $7 craft cocktails, and half flatbreads for $10. Their flatbreads were also surprisingly delicious! We were a walk in group of 8 ladies and they accommodated us perfectly. I would highly suggest a reservation on busier nights but they do make you put down a deposit. I’ve been there 3 times now and have always been very impressed by the service and speed. Today was exceptionally great service on a slow night— the staff were so attentive and top of it, especially Leo!! Unbeatable service and atmosphere. On a slow night they don’t rush you out but on busier nights they are strict on the 2 hour time limit on the tables. Valet is free during happy hour 4-8 but if you leave past happy hour they do make you pay. The vibe changes in the evenings and weekends, and it’s more of a classy club vibe and gets pretty packed and the drinks get super expensive. Happy hour is the way to go!

Kevin’s food is amazing! Devon’s craftsmanship of the drinks is 10/10! Kevin’s presentation on food is not only incredible but delicious. Cocktails were on POINT! The gold oysters were very tasty. Even though the cheese board in my opinion needed more crackers, the board was lovely. The staff also are so friendly. I’ll def be back with my husband!

Great place to be! Whether on a date or just hanging out, it's an upscale cocktail lounge with a very nice vibe, layout and service. The moody lightning and interior dec were on point. Personally preferred sitting in the outdoor patio area (slightly more relaxed) and recommend to reserve a table (otherwise seating/table subject to availability). The inside sections of the bar and DJ had a more "packed" motif. Our server was friendly and attentive. The "fire show" was a nice touch. Live DJ was playing some nice beats. Adhering to the dress code is important. Valet parking.

Santé is definitely the hottest spot in town right now. The place is beautifully designed and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the details. The outdoor patio/terrace is a nice touch and adds to the overall vibe. The atmosphere is amazing with great crowd control, their own security team, and HPD officers on-site, which makes the place feel very safe. The service is excellent, and the music has a great mix that keeps the energy going all night. They are strict on the dress code, so make sure to dress to impress. Overall, an incredible experience and worth checking out.

This cocktail lounge brings out the best in Houston Texas cocktails. It's got Whistle Pig Rye as one of many whiskey bases. The vibe is very chill. They've got variety in their bases for their drinks. You've got Jim Beam to Four Roses based. The bartenders are calm & warm toward customers. The customer service is fast. The space is vast & intimate. It's great for dates, groups, & graduations. The prices are reasonable. The Old Fashion I had was smooth, slightly sweet, a hint of orange, & had a good amount of sweetness. They've got cardmen & saffron spices for various drinks. And they'll take good care of you. Enjoy. More pictures later.

We went to Sante Bar for brunch and had such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax on a weekend morning. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—every plate felt thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were also excellent and paired perfectly with the brunch menu. On top of that, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, Sante Bar is a great brunch spot that we’ll definitely be returning to and recommending to friends!
