Houston’s Best New Cocktail Bars | Eater Houston

"Plush Santé Lounge in Upper Kirby offers a refined dining and cocktail experience, set against a backdrop of vintage chandeliers, jewel-toned lounge seating, and a pair of three-hundred-year-old olive trees. The curated menu features oysters, caviar, and hand-crafted cocktails, each named after a renowned work of art. The Three Pears Old Fashioned, inspired by Paul Cézanne’s Three Pears, combines six-year-aged rye whiskey, barrel-aged maple, and brandy infused with apples and pears, while the Merry Drinker, a nod to Frans Hals’ the Merry Drinker, blends gin, lemon citrus, passionfruit juice, and vanilla. Classic cocktails, from a tequila-based espresso martini to a French 75, are complemented by an extensive selection of wine and champagne. Go big with a large-format cocktail like the Le Fleur-A Fresh Effervescence, a mix of cucumber vodka, mint botanical vodka, an herbaceous aperitif, and Prosecco." - Marcy de Luna

Houston Restaurant Openings to Know Right Now, December 2024 | Eater Houston

"A luxe Upper Kirby cocktail lounge offering elevated cocktails like the Three Graces (an upscale twist on an amaretto sour) and the Three Pears Old Fashioned, a drink inspired by Paul Cézanne’s Three Pears artwork and featuring WhistlePig Rye 6 & Barrel Aged Maple and Pear calvados. The interior is sculpted as an ethereal experience with two three-hundred-year-old olive trees, sparkling chandeliers, a rotating art collection of international artists, and outdoor seating for al fresco drinks. Food offerings include oysters and a build-your-own caviar service, and the venue enforces a strict dress code." - Brittany Britto Garley

Santé Lounge - Review - Upper Kirby - Houston - The Infatuation

"A new cocktail lounge is adding to Houston’s nightlife scene. Santé Lounge in Upper Kirby serves drinks inspired by famous paintings alongside classic cocktails. Take your paloma based on Diego Rivera’s work to one of Santé’s four spaces—the garden room with a bar and olive trees, a room with a DJ spinning tracks, a lounge setting, and an outdoor patio. And there’s a menu full of flatbreads staying on theme (named after famous painters), mezze boards, oysters, and caviar-topped ice cream. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gianni Greene

Walking into Santé feels like stepping into another world. The décor is refined and sophisticated, with warm, low lighting that immediately sets the tone for an elegant and relaxing evening. The design of the space creates an atmosphere that’s both stylish and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out. The music was one of the highlights of the evening, carefully curated to match the mood of the place. It added life and energy without ever being overwhelming, striking the right balance between vibrant and classy. Combined with the stunning setting, it gave the whole experience a special rhythm that carried the night beautifully. And then, the drinks, each cocktail was crafted with care, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. It’s clear the bar takes pride in their mixology, offering not just beverages but experiences in a glass. Every sip was as memorable as the last. We tried the House Margarita, The Man at the Crossroads, The Merry Drinker, and a Cosmopolitan, all of them were amazing. Yet even with such an incredible setting, the true star of our evening was Paola. From the moment we arrived, she was super friendly, always with a big smile for my wife and me, and very attentive to every detail, always present without ever being intrusive. She made sure we were comfortable, checked in on us at just the right moments, and thoughtfully asked if we’d like another round of drinks before we even had to think about it. Her warmth, kindness, and professionalism transformed a great night into an extraordinary one. Santé already stands out as a destination for its atmosphere, music, and cocktails, but with Paola’s extraordinary service, the evening became truly unforgettable. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place that combines elegance, flavor, and genuine hospitality.

First time at Santé and definitely not my last. Came in during happy hour and got to try the food and drinks. Kevin Garcia did a phenomenal job with the menu, you can tell there was a lot of thought put into the menu. The gelato was to die for! Will be coming again due to the hospitality and atmosphere.

First time in Sante, and it wasn’t too bad. It felt like there was limited staff so it took a little time to get some service. However, when our waiter came, he was nice and the food and drinks were a 9/10. We stayed indoors for the most part, decided to check out the outside seating area, the music was meh and it was a bit crowded so we didn’t stay much longer.

Let’s talk happy hour! This place is the perfect spot to grab cocktails, mini martinis and even caviar 😍 and the service? Very welcoming! Dwayne made sure our drinks stayed full and our food came on time. Just know you will pay a reservation fee of $10 pp but it goes towards your tab so no biggie. Place is a vibe and will be back.

The 1 star is really for their valet service/partner. Santé plz change valet!!!! Went for happy hour on a Friday for the first time & was pleasantly met with the valet sign saying service was complimentary. When I came out & gave valet my ticket they ordered me to pay, when I questioned them about the sign they started making up lies & excuses. I ended up paying. But that definitely affected my experience. Stop false advertising.

We went to Sante Bar for brunch and had such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax on a weekend morning. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious—every plate felt thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were also excellent and paired perfectly with the brunch menu. On top of that, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, Sante Bar is a great brunch spot that we’ll definitely be returning to and recommending to friends!

Sante is a spectacular bar; the decor, atmosphere, and vibe are incredible. Buut! The service is too slow, the bar definitely needs more staff, drinks took up to 30+ minutes to arrive at the table, the waitresses do their best to serve the people. The food is not good at all, it's very fast food with high prices, I really don't recommend coming to eat here. The drinks, even though they take a long time, are actually good. They have several very good cocktails that are also very well made. It's more of a vibe for coming to have a drink with friends, happy hour, but not for eating. Valet parking is almost mandatory. $10
