This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time! The food, the service and the atmosphere were just unmatched! I will start with the food - first we had eggplant rolls that had a bit of smoky flavor and they were so so fresh ( like everything in this restaurant). Elarji balls were full of cheese and with a great sauce added on the side. Potato Mushroom Ojakhuri was the best mushroom dish I tried - the soft mushrooms that are juicy and crispy wedge potatoes make a perfect combination. Then came Kubdari and again it was delicious. The dough was perfect and very thin which made it an exceptional dish. Chicken Skewer was also incredible with soft juicy chicken. We didn’t order the vegetables with them and they came with fries. Fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Lamb Chops were great - it is a good amount of them for the price being that they are on the most expensive on the menu. And the salad that comes with them is wow! The combination of their dressing, beats and greens just makes the dish stand out so well. My main reason for coming to this restaurant was to try Khinkali as I have never had them in my whole life. They were just amazing - full of soup and meet! I really enjoyed a simple but yet enticing flavor of them. They come hot and you can see that they were just made. A special note has to be said about the exceptional and friendly people that work there. Thank you for giving us a great experience. I am planning my next visit very soon!!!

I just left this Georgian restaurant and wow — what an amazing experience! The food was beyond delicious. Every bite tasted homemade and full of flavor. You can really feel the tradition and care behind every dish. The service was just as great. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, they made me feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people are this good. The atmosphere was cozy and really charming. I had such a nice time and can’t wait to go back. If you’ve never tried Georgian food before, this is the perfect place to start!

This was my first time trying Georgian food and it was so good! We really enjoyed everything and the staff were very nice and friendly. I’m excited to come back and try more dishes! I would recommend reserving a table as the place is small and fills up quick, especially for dinner.

Google
Saperavi is an absolute gem. This small, intimate spot has a charm that makes you feel like you’ve been invited into someone’s home rather than just another restaurant. The food is pure comfort. Everything is seasoned to perfection and deeply flavorful. The first time wasn’t a fluke…. We have been 3 times now, bringing back with us family and friends to share our love. Mari and Serge are masters of hospitality, the kind of people who make you feel genuinely welcomed and remembered. They take the time to explain the menu, share stories, and ensure every detail of your visit feels personal. Mari made recommendations every visit that made my heart smile as I took my first bites. If you’re a cheese lover, you must try the traditional Georgian cheese. Get the adjaruli! It is unlike anything else with warm bread bowl filled with rich and buttery cheesy goodness. It alone is worth the visit. A warm, memorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Google
I’ve been excited to try SAPERAVI as I’ve been to a few other Georgian spots in the city. Overall, I think this is the best Georgian I’ve had, tho I think I prefer other cuisines. That being said, I give it a 5/5 rated as the best Georgian food, not the best food in the city. The Good 👍🏼: -the Kachapuri is bomb 💣. Like really really good, best I’ve ever had! - the chakapuli (lamb stew) was fantastic. Great balance of flavors, wish they served it with better break tho! - ❣️🍯🍰: THE HONEY CAKE (and other cake) was AMAZING 🤩. Like absolutely insane. Would’ve given this a 4 had I not ordered dessert so please do yourself a favor and get this (or both, the orange cream cake was also delicious) Could be better: - 🍆 I liked the eggplant rolls but my group agreed they could use more sweetness. I think stuffing pomegranate seeds INTO the roll would really launch this dish! - The lamb chops were disappointing. I will almost always order lamb chops if they’re on the menu, but these were quite plain. Maybe that’s on me for ordering lamb chops when there are other Georgian specials, but definitely not worth it.

I stopped here coincidentally and am glad I did. The food, atmosphere and service are all excellent. The khachapuri is not to be missed! Georgian food is one of my favorite cuisines and this restaurant combines the best of Georgian food with a cozy atmosphere and a welcoming staff. It is now my go-to restaurant when in NYC.

Google
Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic Georgian cuisine. But what made the experience even better was our server, George. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great recommendations and made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back❤️

Yelp
Georgian wine is elite. We ordered 3 wines . All superb. White - rkatsiteli Amber - kisi Red - saperavi. Georgina wine red dry, amber, and white. I'd order each every time again. Honestly top tier . Paired great with all the meals. Especially, the Cheese curd bread. The Khachopuri had a beautiful flavor in the bread. We ordered the gigantic dumplings. The spinach and cheese was excellent and what a cheese pull that had. The beef were juicy and yummy. We ordered the Tabaka, chicken and walnuts. The chicken tasted pan fried abd the sauce epic. Great for dipping the bread in. The Napolean dessert is not to be missed. The burst of orange was amazing. It was definitely one of the best Ive ever had.

Yelp
We stopped upon Saperavi by accident while looking for something else, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! With an impressive 4.9 rating, we decided to call and check for availability. The host, Gio, went above and beyond and despite the restaurant being fully booked, he told us that if we could arrive within 15 minutes, he would find a way to accommodate us. That level of hospitality is rare, and it immediately set the tone for a fantastic experience. We sat at the bar with a perfect view of the open kitchen, where we could watch the chefs at work. We started with a bottle of red wine and a selection of appetizers, all of which were outstanding. The hand-cut fries took me straight back to my village. Simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Cut by hand and not by the machine. For the main course, we both went with the lamb chops and potato purée. Wow, they were spot on! The service was just as impeccable as the food. Our server was attentive, and the entire atmosphere, from the warm hospitality to the lively open kitchen, made our experience even better. Saperavi is a true gem, and we will definitely be coming back. Great job to the whole tea. You deserve all the success!

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my friend's birthday, and it was her first time trying Georgian food, but probably my third time trying Georgian food. Both of us had a great time and left feeling super full. I had made a reservation in advance for a Tuesday night, but I don't think I really needed one because when I arrived there were a handful of tables available. Some of the tables are close to each other so it was a little annoying at times to have people bump into my bag that was hanging on my chair. There is a bar that's available so it's nice that they have that option because I saw a couple people come in to eat dinner by themselves. The menu is a good size, and for the two of us, we ordered four dishes to share and one dessert. It was definitely too much food, but I'm glad that we got to try so many Georgian specialties. We ordered: 1. Elarji balls (5/5) 2. Adjaruli Khachapuri (5/5) 3. Beef Khinkali (4/5) it was very interesting to eat this, because it was like a large soup dumpling. Our server instructed us to flip it over, make a small bite, slurp the soup, and then eat it. Also, the other reviewers were not lying, these were huge! 4. Chalapuli (2/5) this dish really was not for me. It was just very overpowering with the lamb flavor, but that's just me. I had one bite and could not have anymore, but my friend enjoyed it. 5. Honey cake (3/5) not bad, but it definitely could've used more strawberry to cut the overwhelming savoriness of the cake.

Yelp
I made a reservation for lunch. The music is a little too loud for my liking but not overbearingly so. 2 of us shared the following and we could not finish everything: - Soup Kharcho: a beef version of chicken noodle soup with more flavor. Comforting and would be great if I was sick. Apparently, most versions have cherry puree in it but this did not. - Adjaruli: the star of the dinner. This one had a more sour cheese compared to the other one I had in another Georgian restaurant. - chicken tabaka with bazhe sauce: the chicken was expertly roasted keeping tenderness and juiciness. However, the walnut sauce was savory and I was expecting a sweetness - I think the original sauce would go better with this. - teapot: the Georgian tea can be black or green. We got black and it reminded me of Turkish tea with English breakfast flavors.

Yelp
Recommended- Kupati/Shkmeruli. Assorted Phkali (for a group.) Order all. I was at this pretty new Georgian restaurant with a group earlier today for dinner. Sorry by the way for knocking off the glass used for the New Year's/Christmas stuff. The staff was friendly and the food overall was excellent with the quality of some dishes in particular surpassing every other Georgian place I've been to. The inside is rather small compared to many of the Georgian spots and the music was light. I didn't have anything to drink but another person had the Georgian pear lemonade which they liked and was a different brand (Zandukeli) than the usual Natakhtari brand you find in spots. I ordered two of most dishes except for one of the special and the ojakhuri and we left stuffed with potential leftovers (though we chose not to) for around $45 a person. Sorry by the way for knocking off the glass used for the New Year's/Christmas stuff. Our first appetizer that arrived was the Assorted Phkali for $24.00 with Georgian vegetable rolls with walnut, Georgian spices, and homemade cornbread. The vegetables included spinach, beetroot, eggplant rolls/Nigvziani badrijani (which can also be separately ordered,) bell pepper, and said cornbread/mchadi. The cornbread was very tasty being less dry than most spots and the other ones were excellent with the eggplant rolls and spinach ones being my favorite as expected. All of them had good amount of spice as well as walnuts and garlic and some pomegranate seeds and it would be a good mix for three to share or four as a stretch or with one other appetizer. The other appetizer was the Potato Mushroom Ojakhuri for $17.00 which had home style fried potatoes, oyster mushrooms, champignons, garlic, and dill and a Georgian plum sauce. I usually see this dish as an entree usually made with pork and it was nice to see a version of this thing as an appetizer though it was less flavorful without the pork of course. The mushrooms were good as well as the thin potatoes and the plum sauce/tkemali had the expected light sourness which helped with the richness and the portion size was nice. Another person gave me one of their Beef Khinkali which are $15 for four very large pieces. If anyone's curious on how to eat them, you're supposed to pick them up and make a slight bite and drink the juice before eating the rest outside of the lumpy top. There was good tender meat inside with a pretty well flavored soup broth. They were solid though I prefer the version slightly at the nearby Cafedelia. The best of the main dishes was between two though I will give a slight edge to the Shkmeruli for $22.00 or chicken in creamy garlic sauce. The chicken or rather Cornish hen as said by them I believe was very tender inside and not overcooked but the star of the show was the sauce which was extremely well flavored with a good hit of garlic but not too much. They give you some little pieces of bread to dip into it though we also used the remains of the khachapuri for the same thing. I have had this dish in many other places but this was the best I've had by a good amount. My other favorite was the Kupati for $25 listed as traditional Georgian sausage made with ground beef, pork, and Georgian spices and served with tashmijabi and house sauce. The kupati had a good snap from the casing and were very well flavored and the tashmijabi/mashed potatoes with cheese were a good accompaniment. The sauce had a light sourness. This was excellent and also the best I've had. We also got the obligatory Adjaruli Khachapuri for $16 or the traditional khachapuri from Adjara region made with homemade dough, Georgian cheese blend, and egg yolk and baked to a golden crisp. They presented it as per most spots with the egg uncooked and the server mixes it into the cheese mix and does a bit of a theatrical show of it. It was salty and cheesy as it always is and the remaining bread as noted was good to dip into the garlic sauce. It is of comparable quality to Cafedelia and better than the one at the popular Chama Mama. We were originally going to get the Chashushuli for $25 or a veal stew with tomatoes, onion, and Georgian spices topped with cilantro and parsley but there was a special that the waiter said which was a bigger version of a similar stew for $31 which was more tomato based which we went with instead. Said tomato stew turned out to be Ostri which is a preference. The latter is more spiced by comparison and I prefer how the meat is cooked. The stew was good and served with mashed potatoes and would be good to add on the menu to potentially replace said dish or just as extra. If the Kupati/Shkmeruli were only of good/decent quality, I would note this already as a better version of Chito Gvrito (for price point) and Chama Mama/Old Tbilisi Garden (quality and comparable price point) but the better versions of those dishes while the rest were still on point puts it a bit over most Georgian spots. Mid 4.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a weekend with two friends and enjoyed our experience here. Foods: -Adjaruli Khachapuri: This was my second time having this dish and it did not disappoint. Our server helped us mix the egg yolk with the cheese and the bread was perfectly cooked. It was crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The cheese and bread were a perfect mix. -Chicken Tabaka: This was my first time having this dish and I enjoyed it. The sauce complimented the chicken well and the chicken was nice and tender. There were also some pomegranate seeds sprinkled in the dish to add a bit of sweetness. Would get this again. -Beef Khinkali: This was also my first time having khinkali. The dumpling is filled with soup inside. They're big dumplings that you can pick up with your hand and the meat was delicious. You can make reservations online which I recommend! We didn't have any trouble making a reservation a few hours before. By the time we arrived for our reservation, all the tables were full except for one which happened to be our table. We were seated immediately. The servers were so helpful. They explained to us how to eat each dish and were excited to give us recommendations since we weren't too familiar with the menu items. Service was quick too! They have indoor and outdoor dining. When we came in the winter, we were seated outdoors but it was heated and had no problem.

Yelp
This place is so yummy with friendly and fun service to boot! The amber wine I had was delicious, and the khachapuris are a must-have. We also had a really nice eggplant dish which was perfectly savory. There's an inside space as well as a covered outside patio (with heaters!). It was freezing out and we were on the outside patio, was wearing a t-shirt and felt OK thanks to the heating and covered setup. I would come back here for sure, vibes are great / service is good / food is fast and it seems like a great place for a get-together.

Yelp
Honest review of Saperavi: I had the opportunity to visit Saperavi located at 245 East 14th street NYC. This was my first time trying Georgian food! We started with traditional khachapuri from adjara region, made with homemade dough, georgian cheese blend, and egg yolk. Baked to a golden crisp. This dish was by far my favorite of the night! The freshly baked bread with the cheesy blend of happiness filled me up to a point where I almost didn't want to finish my main meal which was Chakapuli a lamb stew made with white wine, tarragon, scallion, fresh herbs, and cherry plum. The flavor profile was very complex, earthy and the great flavor of lamb. My date had Chashushuli a traditional veal stew with tomatoes, onion, and georgian spices. topped with cilantro and parsley. I tried a bite and it was semi sweet with a savory flavor on the tail end. All and all it was such a delight to eat here I went back for lunch and had the Shkmeruli,Roasted Chicken in Creamy Garlic Sauce which was tender and very flavorful. The space inside space is small with 28 seats and the outside space has an additional 10 seats. I recommend making reservations and enjoy a great experience with attentive staff and great food!

Yelp
This restaurant used to be called Mealz, but decided to change their name to Saperavi. Either way, it's still the same Georgian restaurant. This was my first time trying Georgian cuisine and I was very intrigued by their dishes, although I was a bit hesitant being that they're very heavy on the cheese. Going to need to work out a lot afterwards. Adjaruli Khachapuri ($17) is a traditional Georgian cheese bread from Ajara region made with baked dough, melty cheese blend and egg yolk. This was too much cheese for my liking, but it's part of the experience. Gonna need to work on unclogging the arteries I probably just clogged. Khinkali ($14 for 4 pcs) is their Georgian dumplings. It comes in either Beef or Spinach & Cheese. I got to try both and I prefer the beef. Shkmeruli ($22) is a roasted chicken dish in creamy garlic sauce. This is decently good and would recommend.

Yelp
I had a particular predicament on the day I visited (Oct 2024) - I had just wired in a new bracket onto my braces two days prior and could hardly chew. Whereas I would normally have tried the cheesy fondue baked into the dough, I inquired with Serg and took the advice of this very professional and kind gentleman to go with the Penovani instead - the puff pastry-housed cheesiness with a salad on top. It was 100% the right call. The cheesy pastry is a no brainer, but I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed the salad. The cucumber and tomato were both fresh, and the oil-based dressing was unlike any dressing I had ever tasted - in a good way. Great way. Enjoying outside the sunny 70-degree fall weather, delectable new cuisine, and impeccable service for under $20 pretip - perfection.

Yelp
Love the food here. This was our first time trying Georgian food and it was delicious. Khachapuri is our favorite. Service was great. Staff were friendly and polite.

Yelp
Solid georgian spot. I would come back and try other items, especially the kachipuri. The dumplings were huge and so warming and felt so comforting. Also tried the lobio, which was like a veg bean soup that came in a little pot and with different pickles and a corn bread. Typical East Village restaurant in terms of spacing and being on top of each other. (Although, for now I think prefer Chama Mama for Georgian food)

Yelp
If you're looking to experience authentic Georgian flavors with a great selection of wines, Saperavi is a must-try in NYC! From the food, to drink, and to the staff, everything was amazing.

Yelp
+.5 for service "Saperavi" is now known as Mealz. A bit of an unassuming name, but it's a small restaurant that specializes in Georgian food. If you don't know what Georgian food is, I'd suggest giving this place a try and letting the servers introduce the staples of what you should order here. My friend watched a TikTok video which suggested items to order, so we started from there, and then asked for additional suggestions for our party of 7. I think we nailed it on many of the orders. Khinkali - Reminds me of the Asian dumplings, though thicker in skin and larger in size. It's fine, but not something I'll order again. Megruli Khachapuri - Good but I would skip this if you decide to order... Adjaruli Khachapuri - The highlight appetizer. The entire dough including the handle and edges can be eaten, and don't worry, even though the cheese melts it doesn't make a mess at all! Shkmeruli - I liked it, the creamy garlic sauce really carried the dish. Chakapuri - Best entree I had IMO. That plum sauce was chefs kiss. The lamb pieces were plentiful and juicy too! Georgian cuisine is definitely something that's not mainstream, so it was a bit of a trek into the unknown. 100% worth it in my opinion, and the servers will help you throughout the process so you can enjoy what this place has to offer!

Yelp
This past meal at Mealz in Gramercy was my delightful introduction to Georgian food, and I can confidently say it won't be my last. Adjaruli Khachapuri: Super delicious! This boat-shaped bread is filled with a gooey blend of melted cheeses and a runny egg yolk. It's a dish best shared, and the experience of breaking into the warm, cheesy center is so fun. Chakapuli: This dish, a Georgian staple, did not disappoint. The lamb was so tender, bathed in a flavorful broth. Its unique combination of flavors and wholesome ingredients make it a dish that is sure to delight anyone who tries it. Seafood lovers won't want to miss the dish of fish with sauteed vegetables. The seafood was fresh, light, and perfectly cooked, while the accompanying vegetables added a vibrant touch. This dish was both satisfying and refreshingly light. Kupati Sausage: Packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned, the Kupati sausage was another winner. Made with ground meat and traditional Georgian spices, it was served with tashmijabi (a side dish) and house-made sauce. An absolute must-order! To complement the meal, we explored the world of Georgian wines. The Kindzmarauli, a semi-sweet red, and the Kisi, a dry white, were both delicious. For a truly authentic experience, we also tried the Zandukeli, a refreshing Georgian lemonade. The ambiance at Mealz is cozy and inviting. The friendly and attentive service creates a comfortable and relaxing dining experience. I will definitely be returning to explore more of their Georgian specialties.

Yelp
First time trying Georgian food and I'm sold! We had a small lunch here and got the French Toast, Megruli Khachapuri, shrimp + truffle fries. All the food was great, the megruli was deliciously cheesy. Service was great and we even had some wine. Great spot for a casual meal.

Yelp
Mealz is kind of a unexpected name for this restaurant -- I was expecting something very low key and more fast casual/takeout oriented, but the restaurant is actually very nice for a sit down dinner. We came on a Wednesday evening without a reservation. Food and service were excellent, if maybe a bit pricey. I think this is a great place for Georgian food, and especially nice to come in a large group so you can share the dishes and try as much as possible. We ordered the eggplant wraps, the cheese boat (khachapuri), the beef dumplings (Khinkali), and lamb chops. We probably spent about $30 each, split three ways. You cannot miss out on the eggplant wraps!! They were small but so flavorful and delicious, and are served cold. This was our group favorite. The cheese boat was also delicious and was a dish we had to try. I wasn't as impressed by the beef dumplings, though. It was good but the wrapper was a bit too thick, especially at the top where everything gets folded together. The lamb chops were served on a bed of salad, and was delicious (seasoned, perfectly cooked) but small for the price ($36). There's seating both inside and outside. It was a beautiful summer day, so we sat outside. The service was great, very attentive and personal. There is a surprisingly large menu, and we barely scratched the surface! Would come back again to try more food

Yelp
Got take out from this restaurant Rly nice and tender but chewy lamb chops! With such good spiced flavor. Sad it was only four sorta small lamb chops w lots of mashed potatoes :( The khinkalis are massive!! Liked the beef ones more than the spinach. Chicken was also very flavorful w great sauce The cheese bread was also so satisfying, rly good chunky cheese

Yelp
Check out Saperavi for some delicious and authentic Georgian food! This restaurant was very warm and cozy. If you're a cheese lover, then you're going to really love Georgian food. Many of the dishes had a lot of cheese in it from the adjaruli khachapuri and the spinach and cheese khinkali. They really go heavy on the cheese! The adjaruli khachapuri had an amazing cheese pull. With the khinkali, these are like big dumplings or momos, you flip them over and then slurp it. Lastly, their chicken tabaka was really good, their sauce was heavenly. Overall, this restaurant has really authentic Georgian food that was warm and cozy. The portion sizes are also pretty big for each dish, and the food fills you up. It really felt like home cooked food. They also serve wine here that has been fermented for six months, to give the wine an extra kick and zest. Their customer service was also amazing! The waiters were really nice, polite, and informative of the food. The prices were also pretty good, things were priced to $15-$20 per dish. This restaurant inspired me to check out some other Georgian restaurants out there in the city. Price:$15-$20 Rating: 9/10

Yelp
3 of us were craving something warm and hearty on a cold Monday night. We stepped in for an early dinner around 6 and the place was virtually empty. Mealz is a bit on a small side with 10(?) modular tables that can be grouped together or split up for multiple couples. What's intriguing is the menu. It's literally a hodgepodge of breakfast cafe items (eggs, etc) to American burgers, Mexican , Italian , and Georgian dishes. Pricewise, from ~$10 upwards to $48 for ribeye steak. We liked the chicken tabaka as well as khachipuri adjaruli. The burger and fried chicken sandwiches were ok but nothing exciting. Similarly quesadilla was average, good size though. All-in-all I would go back for more Georgian dishes.
google avatar

Suri M.

Yelp
If I didn't know this was a Georgian restaurant, I'd never know it walking by. They have a huge menu of mostly American food if you know what I mean (burgers, sandwiches, meats). But they also have most of the classic Georgian foods, from starter spreads to cheese breads and full entrees. For vegetarians, I recommend the Lobio. It's a very filling bean stew with a corn pancake and unusual pickled vegetables. You really need the soured food to balance the beans! Bring a bunch of friends if you want to try the khatchapuri, it's not really a meal unless you're the kind of person who orders a plain slice of pizza with no sauce (ok maybe it's a meal). They don't have it on the menu, but if you ask, you might get a bottle of tarkhun :) You can order in English, Georgian or even Russian here (just don't be a jerk). Taking off one star for excessively loud music and inadequate filtration of smokey air. Clean restroom at least!

Yelp
Decided I wanted a healthy lunch and said, "Let me try out Mealz. Salad choices waa the normal, and I was going back and forth between the cesar or greek. I settled for the Greek and added Grill chicken. The salad was meh..fresh and tasty but nothing to brag about. My chicken was also over cooked. I will try something else next time.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try Georgian food but the options aren't very abundant so when i saw @hungryartistny post about this place, I had to go. On a cold Saturday night, there were three different groups seated to eat, two tables empty and seats at the counter. We were immediately given a menu with an extensive list of foods from all day breakfast to sandwiches and quesadillas to traditional Georgian cuisine. I ordered the shkmeruli, beef khinkali, and adjaruli khachapuri and my friend ordered the fried potatoes w/ mushrooms and surf and turf Everything came out piping hot with a huge serving size. The beef khinkali was soo juicy and flavorful. And huge! I wanted to finish the whole plate but I needed room for everything else. I tried the fried potatoes and mushrooms my friend ordered and it was really earthy and well seasoned too. They used at least two kinds of mushrooms and the potatoes were thinly sliced. Next, the shkmeruli came and i have no words. A hot plate of tender roasted chicken was bathing in a garlic sauce bath. It's so simple but executed incredibly. I could not stop taking bite after bite although I was quickly filling up. My friend's surf and turf was honestly food for two to three ppl but I was limited on space in my belly so I didn't taste it. He thoroughly enjoyed it though. The adjaruli khachapuri came at the end and I think that's because they were baking the bread from scratch. It was hot, fresh and sooo soft. The pool of cheese on top had a camera worthy cheese pull but I was so engulfed in the meal I couldn't bother to look for my phone And to top it all off, it seems to be a two man show. The guy serving us and helping with the menu was the sweetest. He had a great playlist going that varied from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Michael Jackson to Earth Wind and Fire, I was grooving in my chair the whole time. He explained how to correctly eat the khachapuri and khinkali. He suggested a semi-sweet red wine that I would love to bathe in and i don't even like reds. Super casual restaurant with ridiculously good food. Im really happy I got the chance to eat here

Yelp
We saw this on TikTok and it looked good. I'm a fan of Georgian food, so I had to go here. We were immediately seated after checking in. We ordered the following: Georgian Style Chicken Tabaka, which is pan fried chicken served with Georgian Tkemali sauce. It's sprinkled with pomegranates, which we weren't fans of. Shkmeruli (chicken with creamy garlic sauce). This was the best item of the evening. It was very garlicky and we love garlic. Both chicken entrees were small. I think they used Cornish hen and not chicken. Adjaruli Khachapuri- This was delicious. We love the raw egg yolk and that we got to stir it around with the cheese. The bread was nice and soft. Khinkali filled with spinach and cheese. This was surprisingly good. We've always ordered it with lamb and never had it vegetarian style. Eggplant rolls, which is filled with a garlicky walnut pesto. This was underwhelming in that it tasted bland. I saw chicken Tabaka on the menu and asked if they had peanuts in it. The server went in and asked the chef and was told that it didn't have it. But, I didn't tell him I wanted it. So, imagine my surprise that he brought us the chicken Tabaka AND shkmeruli. Hubs was saying that it's ok, we'll keep it. We were hoping that we wouldn't get billed for it since we didn't order it. Nope, they charged us. Didn't bother fighting it because I'm pretty sure business is slow. Whatever. Service was a bit slow. Not many people were eating in there. The adjaruli khachapuri took a while to come out. We thought they forgot to put in the order for us. I won't be returning because I didn't care that they put in an extra order for us when we didn't order it and then didn't take it off our bill. Normally, I would say that I will be returning to try other items on the menu, but I won't be saying that here. Don't like their business practices.

Yelp
A very unassuming eatery that is SO DELICIOUS!! Came here on a weeknight and they had enough seating for 6 people. They have enough tables and seats for around 20 people with a few outdoor tables. The menu is quite large with a lot of American items such as burgers and fries but we came here for the Georgian food. A small menu for it but it has all the staples. We got the beef khinkali which were SO GOOD. My favorite is usually Oda house but these were definitely a winner. So much soup and seasoned to perfection. The cheese boat was full of cheese and no undercooked dough. Chakapuli came out tender and hot. My favorite of the night was the schkmeruli. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and the sauce was so perfect. Usually my favorite dish and this place made by far the best. The lamb chops were standard. Their burgers are as if out of a commercial, large, fresh, and delicious. I am definitely coming back again and highly recommend!

Yelp
Never had Georgian food. Thought I'd give the Adjaruli Khachpuri a try. It's like a decadent white pizza but more creamy and the bread perfectly cooked. I ate in and it wasn't very crowded. Very clean and the server was very nice and helpful. She even showed me the correct way to mix the egg into the cheese. Will return.

Yelp
Just amazing. If I could post just that I would. It gives me the right amount of night life I need. Solo or collective you'll have a great time in this Georgian atmosphere. Thank you.

Yelp
If you like cheese, this is Nirvana. Adjapuri was amazing. Penovani was also delicious . And we loved the Georgian sangria with peach.. Service was wonderful, too. Our server was Georgian and proud of it. He told us about the various items and his recommendations were spot on. We were happy yo have tried Saperavi. We will be back when we are next in New York.

Yelp
This is a perfect gem of a place you feel lucky to find. From entering, we knew this place would be special. I'm a huge fan of Georgian food, so finding food Georgian food in New York City was important. It's a small restaurant with a very cute ambiance. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming to us. If you come, you absolutely must order elarji balls, khinkali (Georgian soup dumplings), khachapuri (a bread and cheese bread boat) and kupati sausages. A honey cake to finish everything off is a must as well. Top tier food, people, and place. Will absolutely be coming back here.

Yelp
A secret Georgian restaurant. The shkmeruli, a crispy chicken in a cream sauce, was amazing. Khachapuri was flavorful, with a little kick, and the bread soft and steaming. The ambiance is pure Georgian. The word "Georgian " does not appear on the outside of the restaurant, and had no idea that this was a Georgian restaurant. I will remember to return.

Yelp
This cute and cozy restaurant in EV was definitely worth the experience! There's not any Armenian restaurants in Manhattan and I love Georgian food and you can't wrong here!! The staff was great and very warm and welcoming as you would walk into a Georgian home and get that same hospitality treatment like no other! The menu was perfect, and of course a variety of authentic Georgian dishes with comfort food, I loved the vegan and GF options but the ultimate recommendation is the Khacapuri!! You can't go to a Georgian restaurant and not have one! This place served it up right and you can taste the love they put into it!!! If you are in the area, please check this place out, you will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
Loved everything. We had khachapuri, kharcho, eggplant rolls, honey cake, amber wine, wish we could have tried more items on the menu. Impeccable service. Can't wait to go back. Cozy, quiet, felt very comfortable.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of finally having dinner at Mealz on 14th Street , between 2nd and 3rd Ave. I had been wanting to go there, for several weeks, but unfortunately never did get the opportunity to go there. The food looks so delicious, from a menu board outside restaurant. I decided to go with the steak, and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. I omitted the vegetables,as that is also included in this meal . The steak was thin slices, which was a Hugh plus for me, as I don't like thick portions of steak. It was nicely seasoned, cooked to perfection and moist inside, where other restaurants, overcook the meat, then it's overly dry. The mashed potatoes were creamy and so delicious. I was in heaven with the Chicken Gravy, it was a smooth gravy, not thick nor lumpy, like in other restaurants, that I have been too . This restaurant is very clean ,to include the restroom, super clean restroom. To me, when I dine in a restaurant, it makes me so happy to see a clean restroom., I have been to several restaurants, where the floor, seriously needed to be mopped, or there was lots of graffiti on walls and doors. The restroom in Mealz was immaculate... I have to say, the service here was great, Tina is so friendly, has a beautiful personality and was so helpful in explaining items they had for dessert. I chose a blueberry muffin which I took home. The blueberry muffin was so fresh, I truly enjoyed it. I also selected a cinnamon scone, which was delicious. As I love Chocolate Chip cookies, I just had to get two of them, one thin, and a regular Chocolate Chip cookie. I most definitely will return to Mealz, as I want to order my usual,in most restaurants, Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli. This will be my go to place for eating a great meal. I highly recommend Mealz, Food Presentation it gets a 10, and as a rating, food wise, it definitely gets 5 stars

Yelp
First of all , please don't take all of my words. This place is an exceptional dining place located along 14th Street and 2nd Avenue in Manhattan, New York City.( across from 99 cents Pizza store) I highly recommended steak at Mealz because the steak is juicy, tender and fresh. The steak came with yellow gravy, mashed potatoes and carrots. This place, Mealz has the best Coffee Latte. Again, you have to come and try all these goodies. Thanks Mealz, you guys are the best.

Yelp
Work near by; food here is always stellar, I've only gotten the salmon and chicken bowls though, but both very good and healthy. Good for those who work out, and tastes great too. Quick service; prices are reasonable given the quality of food, it's not fast food. Staff here are nice as well! Highly recommended for a quick, healthy bite / pre or post work out meals.

Yelp
FYI their chicken is halal !! Great selection of different salads, sandwiches. Good for a group as the inside is great. Highly recommend.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! This place serves delicious Georgian food. Each plate I ordered was fantastic. It feels like homemade cooking and like your mom made it. I am definitely going back to have other dishes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food and decent prices. Really nice and quick service. Ate indoors, which was clean and not too busy on a weekday night.

Yelp
A wonderfil place to get fresh, delicious food prepared with the care and attention of an authentic, home-cooked meal. One of my favorite spots in Gramercy. The owner is amazing and often onsite to meet, greet and serve the customers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is such a cozy little spot for a quick casual bite. The food is always fresh and well made. The people are friendly, and they have nice coffee. They also just added several tables so there's plenty of room to sit. A great addition to the neighborhood!
