The 11 Best Ice Cream Spots In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Nashville’s first Indian creamery is situated on the second floor of a strip mall plaza right across from Vandy, and it's a favorite with the university’s students, staff, and just about everyone with a semi-functioning palate. The Indian-style ice cream and kulfis are made in-house daily, along with a selection of puff pastries. The kesar (saffron) is one of our favorite flavors, but the chai spice and mango also earn high marks. There’s plenty of space in the shop to sprawl out and enjoy your cup or cone, but keep an eye on the clock: the parking lot starts charging after 20 minutes." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

The 12 Essential Ice Cream Shops in Nashville

"This Midtown ice cream haven specializes in Indian homemade ice creams and kulfi, a frozen dairy dessert that has origins in Delhi. Sarabha’s kulfi, served street-style on a stick, come in flavors like kesar (saffron) and chai spice. Its other ice cream flavors include coconut, mango, butterscotch, and Indian coffee; to try them all, opt for the ice cream slight, which places smaller scoops to sample on an elegant paper tray. Waffle cones and bowls, milkshakes, and coffee and pastries are also available." - Eater Staff

Sarabha's Creamery – Nashville, Tennessee - Gastro Obscura

"Between Nashville’s iconic Music Row and Vanderbilt University, Sarabha’s Creamery, the city’s first homemade Indian-style ice cream shop, quietly works sweet, frozen magic from the second story of a nondescript strip mall. It’s the passion project of husband-and-wife duo Gursharan Singh and Manpreet Gill, who opened the parlor in 2022 after leaving jobs in tech. As Gill explained in an interview with Nashville Scene, the pair saw the empty storefront and decided to make the switch almost immediately. The mango kulfi—reminiscent of a tropical creamsicle—is the perfect starter to a multi-course ice cream feast, and comes in flavors like malai (with cardamom and milk solids) and kesar pista (saffron with pistachios). It melts quickly, so it’s both logistically sound and extremely satisfying to lick it off the stick as quickly as possible. The rest of the ice creams are equally stellar. Sarabhas’s incorporates less air into its Indian-style ice cream than a typical American scoop, giving it a texture more akin to gelato. Pair flavors such as rose tutti frutti, cardamom-scented Indian coffee, and paan nawabi (made with rose petals and cashews) in a crispy waffle cone or bowl, then wash it all down with a steaming masala chai. Visually, the star of the show is Sarabhas’ vibrant falooda, which arrives brimming with malai ice cream, sweet basil seeds, vermicelli noodles, and jellied fruit bobbing a cup of ice-cold milk, all finished with a cherry and a swirl of fuchsia rose syrup. Originally invented in Persia more than 2,500 years ago, faloodeh is a dessert made from frozen vermicelli soaked in a rose syrup. Persians began arriving in India during the 8th century, so faloodeh had plenty of time to catch on, attain royal status, and then morph into a popular milkshake-like dessert, all while retaining almost exactly the same name—falooda. Know Before You Go Many of the most popular flavors, including the “taste of coconut” and chai spice variations, are available vegan." - rachelrummel, Diana Hubbell, breaingram

I will definitely have to come back to try other flavors. I got a regular cup (two scoops) of Chai Spice and Kesar (saffron). The Chai Spice actually tasted like Chai, with no artificial flavors. I've never had saffron-flavored food besides rice, and it was much more floral than I would have ever expected. Both flavors were mellow, not too strong, but still there! Park Happy offers free parking for 20 minutes, and that was perfect for me. I was able to sit and enjoy my ice cream in that amount of time. The inside of the shop is larger than it looks from the outside and has enough seating for a small group of people. It's also bright from the natural sunlight that comes in from the windows and is brightly decorated with pops of color and lighting. There is also seating outside on the balcony. I came in around 3pm on a Wednesday and there were some students studying. It was indeed quiet enough to do so. Guru, the owner, is a mild-mannered patient man. I told him it was my first time coming in, and he kindly told me to take my time and that I could taste any flavors I was curious about. There are plenty of flavors of try! 19 flavors of ice cream, to be exact. Somehow, I missed the Kulfi as I was scanning the board, so I will absolutely be going back for that! There are games on the tables like chess. Neat. I like how the music reflects the culture of the owner(s). While it's totally cool to want to play music that will attract customers of the region, I like how the owner(s) chose not to conform. I wish this company the best! I hope they succeed because their Indian style ice creams are yummy!

Google
Mango ice cream and salted caramel ice cream were delicious! Interesting location to get to (have to use stairs to wrap around to get to the door) but the atmosphere once inside is very nice!

Google
I had the falooda. It was a disaster on many levels. Ice cream (needs to be kulfi) was granulated sugar cream, there were rubber band like strands and the rose syrup (rooafza in india) was red colored sugar liquid poured. If you have ever had a half decent falooda in india or anywhere, please avoid having it here.

Google
They had about twenty ice-cream flavors. These were unique flavors something Indian tastes. I think their ice cream were less sweet than Americans ones and contain spices. I like chai flavor and coconut flavor. The shop has large space and popular among younger customers. They were studying and chatting when I was there.

Google
We were craving authentic desi Indian chai and stumbled upon this family-run hidden gem. To our delight, it exceeded our expectations! The chai selection was fantastic, offering a variety of rich and flavorful options. Their homemade ice creams were equally impressive, with unique flavors that left us wanting more. The service was exceptional, the ambiance warm and very clean, and the entire experience truly memorable. A must-visit spot if you’re in the area!

Google
As others have said, they have about 5 stars for a reason. Great atmosphere, clean place, very friendly staff, and the…most… DELICIOUS, DELIGHTFUL, DELECTABLE ice cream i have ever had!!!!! Not too sweet, it is sweet in the greatest natural way. 12/10. I got the caramel crunch and cardamom raisin and my husband got the coconut flavor. All were so amazing!!!

Google
This place is amazing, would definitely recommend to anyone that’s looking for dessert in the Nashville area. Directly across from Vanderbilt University. The flavor profile on the menu is unique and pure deliciousness. I’ve tried multiple items on the menu— and everything hits. Place has a warm inviting atmosphere with a nice cultural fusion. Very clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Google
Review 2- Went there for the 4th time yesterday night. The place is a vibe, you get chai, Maggi, paan ice-cream, faluda, kesar pista and many more indian flavours! I felt that the price was reasonable only after comparing with other ice-cream places in the past 2 months. We tried many flavours but again stuck to rose faluda for the 4th time! Felt like kulfi were little bland, as per my taste. Review 1 - We went there to try their rose falooda sundae. Not as loaded as you can get in India, but still good if you’re craving for one. They have board games to play too! Little expensive for an icecream but they do have unique flavours

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this ice cream for a while, and I DO have to make it to their shop still one day, but they had a tent when I was at Cheekwood seeing the tulips this past weekend and I finally got to have a taste! I can't attest yet to the ambiance of their shop, but the man serving the ice cream was very helpful and friendly, and all of the flavors my family tried were delicious (chocolate, butterscotch, saffron pistachio, and Indian coffee). The ice cream is wonderfully creamy and flavorful -- it's a good thing I don't live closer or I would be tempted to have it all the time. I especially love the unique flavors you can't find anywhere else! All-in-all a great experience and I'd say it's a gotta-try dessert experience in Nashville area!!

Yelp
I went to Sarabhas Creamery for a lovely dive into the world of Indian ice cream, but I left disappointed and irritated about the flavors and availability of items on the menu. According to their posted menus online and in the shop, Sarabhas Creamery boasts a decent selection of vegan ice cream offerings; 5 to be exact. My husband and I planned our outing for the evening around stopping into this shop to try their vegan chai spice flavor. I have a dairy allergy and chai is one of my favorite flavors in the world. I had my heart set on ordering a regular cup with chai spice and Indian coffee, vegan of course. However, I was immediately informed that they only had their vegan mango and vegan kesar pista. I ordered the kesar pista (vegan) while my husband ordered the chai spice (sadly not vegan). If you boast that you have something on the menu, you should have it in stock! I understand having a fluctuating menu for a small batch business, but a menu should be reflective of your current stock. When you have your heart set on a menu item, it's incredibly disheartening to go out of your way in vain. Us with food allergies get our hopes up even more, as it takes some detective work to actually find good food that is allergen friendly. To make matters worse, my ice cream was lacking in flavor, a truly bland experience. My husband assured me that his dairy-full chai spice ice cream wasn't too grand either: too sweet and barely spiced. If you're in the area and have a sensitivity to dairy, save yourself the trouble and just go to the Ben & Jerry's.

Yelp
They offer a variety of flavors - some you can't even imagine. The serving size is average. The venue is a great place to enjoy the creamy delight. Friendly, but strictly limited to taking and delivering your order. My gripe here is parking. You have to pay via an app which irked. It is in a strip mall on the second floor. You'd think you could get an hour free. Ice cream doesn't last that long! I **think** they gave 20 minutes for free (but I'm not sure I remember correctly), but it took four of us 15 minutes to get upstairs and order.

Yelp
Incredibly kind owners and employees, and amazing ice cream!! The saffron pistachio is my favorite. It's also a cute place to hang out and get some work done!

Yelp
I SCREAM FOR SARABHAS ICE CREAM | we were looking for a sweet treat after dinner and we stumbled upon an Indian ice cream shop. I'm not well versed in Indian desserts but was excited to try some of their more popular items. Everyone was super friendly and we tried a few flavors before ordering a Double Scoop of the Chai Spice and Mango. Both flavors were excellent but it just left us wanting more - so I popped back in and ordered the Shahi Gulab, which they had initially recommended. Everything was excellent and we can't wait to come back again next time we're in Nashville to try their other Indian desserts from the menu!

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - My daughter got two scoops. Blueberry Cheesecake and Chai Spice - I liked the Blueberry Cheesecake better out of the two. Not sure if I liked the spice in the Chai. Well, I am not a Chai drinker either. I also tried the Indian Coffee flavor and that was really good. A very strong pronounced coffee flavor! Overall interesting flavors, a must try. Atmosphere - Good size location. Very spacious. Almost hidden on the second floor. If it was not for Yelp, we would not be here; so again, Yelp works. Cool decor, see pictures. Service - Okay. After taking our order, the two girls "disappeared." Good thing we did not want more. Price - $8. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since early 2022.

Yelp
Caught this gem out of the corner of my eye on our way to some recording studios! First order of business, I guess the parking lot was sold off to some parking business that charges for anyone to use the spaces for the businesses. I guess all of Nashville has turned into this market of paid parking everywhere. Other business, the ice cream and chai here were wonderful! They had lots of traditional options for chai which was a delight to see something similar to what you'd see in cafes in India, and they sold chai in their clay cups separately! They had both traditional Indian ice cream and Indian flavors in American style ice cream. Everything about this place was awesome and definitely recommend a stop!

Myra W.

Yelp
What a wonderful spot to study, decompress after a busy or difficult or just enjoy casually with friends and family. Loved the ice cream blends. They have hot and cold chai options as well as kulfis. Look up when you see Chipotle. Took me a minute to notice the business on the second floor, but it is spacious. open until 11 pm!!

Yelp
First time here and we were super impressed! There were several ice cream flavors to choice from and we got creamy cream, blueberry cheesecake, and chocolate peanut butter. All of them were delicious and a decent sized portion for the price. We were served quickly and the employees were kind and offered samples as well. There is a decent amount of seating, but the parking can be a nightmare. We will be back!

Yelp
The service was good. The owner is very friendly. It was a unique experience. I never had Indian ice cream before. Its not like ice cream I can just buy from kroger. The kesar pista is creamy and nutty. The mint chocolate has a nice mint flavor. We enjoyed it and would come back
google avatar

Yelp
A hidden gem! We were happy to stumble upon this place on our walk. We enjoyed some ice cream on a hot evening. The guy was very friendly as well. It's a pretty large space with plenty of seating inside and on the balcony!

Yelp
I've never thought of a concept as unique as Indian inspired ice cream, but the results speak for themselves. The flavors here were great, I went with the Saffron as well as a mango. Not sure what to expect or how to describe, but the clean bowl probably says enough. Mango was great too and wasn't electric yellow, so I'm hoping there was limited use of food dyes. There's plenty of traditional flavors too for those still not sure if they want to be adventurous yet, though you really should give one of the newer ones a try. Decor is modern and the space is light and airy thanks to the big windows. Absolutely a place to study and stay awhile with friends. I would've liked to see some more thoughtful plateware or bowls. Something branded with their logo or just less boring. I think that I was honestly feeling like I might not be getting a great product because the bowls were just bulk buy styrofoam. Drop by and head upstairs to check out this fusion you probably hadn't thought existed yet!
google avatar

Maureen N.

Yelp
It was a quiet night. So the staff could answer all my questions regarding their ice cream. So, the service was great. I tried as much of their ice cream as was socially acceptable before settling on chai spice. I regretted it after tasting my friend's cardamom ice cream. The more I ate it, the less I liked it. It was odd. But, I would revisit the next time I am in Nashville because I think there are other options that I just did not choose. Also, I want to try their chai.

Yelp
I love ice cream so much! I could eat it every day. When I found out about Sarabhas Creamery, I was so pumped to try it out. They make homemade Indian ice cream. They are so friendly, and I love their hours. They are open until 11 PM on weekdays and 11:30 PM on weekends. They are located upstairs of a corner shopping center that has Chipotle on the bottom floor. Parking validation is for 30 minutes so you'll want to do city paid parking so you can take your time and enjoy your ice cream. My top flavors include: Kesar (Saffron) Taste the Coconut Mango I love the different items on the menu. I love the Rose Falooda Ice Cream! I've come here with a few friends and even hosted an event here. I've had great experiences here and can't wait to come back.

Nora M.

Yelp
Incredible chai and Indian coffee!!! Owner is the sweetest man who clearly infuses love into his business and the space. Great place to catch up over a yummy beverage, play any of the board games provided, or study! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Love this place. I think a bunch of Vandy kids had an event going on, so it was pretty busy for a a Tuesday. I felt bad for the person working, but they handled it really well!
google avatar

Karthik S.

Yelp
This review is bittersweet for me, because as I'm writing this, I'm remembering how amazing this ice cream was and simultaneously realizing that as a New York City resident, I'm not going to have another opportunity to eat at Sarabhas for a while. This ice cream was AWESOME. I am extremely picky about my ice cream, and I can say that Sarabhas Creamery is the real deal. It not only has extremely high-quality ice cream, but the flavors and creativity of the menu make it stand out even more. If you're a fan of Indian-inspired flavors in your desserts, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. I had the kesar pista (saffron / pistachio), mango, and cardamom raisin flavors, and they were all excellent. The kesar pista tasted like a delicious kulfi, and the saffron really shined through. They definitely use Indian mango pulp in their mango ice cream, because that stuff was spectacular. And the cardamom raisin was really good, too- if you're Indian and/or like cardamom-flavored desserts, you'll enjoy it. I randomly stumbled upon Sarabhas on a trip to Nashville, and I enjoyed it so much that I made a special trip across town to have it again before I left for the airport the next day. It has a really charming, relaxed vibe, some nice seating, a great menu, and fantastic ice cream. What's not to like?
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
First experience was awesome and I WILL BE BACK. I came and got one small scoop of the Mango ice cream and it was delicious. I came around 9 pm on a Tuesday and there were 11 people there just chatting and there was still open seating. The menu was actually pretty stacked with about 16 flavors of ice cream - some can be made vegan. They also had tea, chai, coffee and some food options. The parking is what gets you, I parked on the street and had to walk a block but worth the steps! **Note you do have to go up the stairs to get to this locations**
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Tucked away on the second floor of a shopping center next to Vanderbilt, you'll be charmed with the range of flavors and the cozy seating options. This is an ice cream shop you want to hang out in. 10/10 on the ice cream, a great treat if you're ever in the area. The pastries also sounded delicious. I will be back to try the saffron & chai flavors next time!
google avatar

Jasmine T.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by Sarabhas after dinner for a sweet treat and it did not disappoint. The place is located upstairs, so don't think your gps has gone crazy, just look up. I'd never been to an Indian ice cream shop before so I was excited to browse the flavors. I ended up keeping it basic though and went with a kids scoop of blueberry ice cream. It was sooo smooth and flavorful! I also liked the little waffle cone chip on the side, they're my fav kind of cone. The place was also very welcoming inside, with lots of space to hang out and chat. There were a few games on the tables and the decor felt lounge-ish. We ended up talking for a while even after we were done. I'm not really big on sweets, but this place was a lovely addition to my trip and I'd definitely like to come back and try more flavors.
google avatar

Waheed B.

Yelp
Best and first Indian ice cream in town. They let you sample the flavors and it's great for groups.

Princess Dona B.

Yelp
Ice Cream was not bad. The place is located in the second floor. There was no customer when we go there so it was quiet.

Yelp
Indian ice cream spots are few and far between, and Sarabhas Creamery is a true hidden gem in Nashville. The ice cream here is high quality and has Indian inspired ice cream flavors you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. The star of the show for us was the Shahi Gulab, which is Gulab Jamoon with ice cream. The jamun itself came out steaming hot, complimenting the coldness of the butterscotch ice cream we ordered with it. Delicious! one of the best desserts in Nashville.
google avatar

Cleo G.

Yelp
Sarabha's is the only Indian creamery that I know of in Nashville, and it really hits the spot. The ice cream shop is above chipotle, and the inside is so charming and inviting! There is wonderful, plentiful seating and the place is really well decorated. Sarabha is so friendly, and he's pretty much always the one serving. Their flavors are all Indian inspired, though some are more classic and others are more unique! Their chai ice cream (8/10) is good, though it is very subtle and I wish it had a slightly stronger spice. The kesar pista (9/10) ice cream is so aromatic and saffrony, so I highly recommend that one if you're looking for a true Indian-style treat. The strawberry white chocolate flavor (7.5/10) is wonderful, as it doesn't have the artificial strawberry flavor that so many other ice creams of the type have, and comes with white chocolate chips mixed in. I've also tasted their mint chocolate (8.5/10), which comes white (because no artificial colors are used, so cool!) and with a subtle mint flavor, though was lacking in chocolate. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of their flavors! I've also seen people get the rose falooda drink and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Yelp
Can't wait to go back! I got the masala chai iced and it was fabulous. The owner was so kind and helpful and the place is so spacious and cute. They have games at tables and fun seating. I'll be back for cake and ice cream
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
First off - this place is so cute! Light and airy with loads of seating. The service was great. Very helpful and patient since it took us some time to decide. The chocolate peanut butter ice cream was phenomenal. Can't wait to return and try other flavors.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
What a cute hidden gem in Nashville! I ordered two scoops with waffle cup. The ice cream was so thick and flavorful. I wanted to try so many flavors!! I gave a point off because my boyfriend ordered the blueberry cheesecake milkshake and it tasted like unsweet milk. There was no thickness or flavor to it at all. But I will say he definitely ordered wrong... I'm sure everything else on the menu is very good. I would just advise against ordering a shake.
google avatar

Tracey Z.

Yelp
I was really impressed by the variety of flavors here, I was impressed with the Indian ones mostly! I wished they let us sample the flavor before hand. I got the regular which came with two scoops. One was cardamon raisin which was really strong cardamom flavor, not that great. The kesar pista on the other hand was really good. I would definitely come back for that one.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Wow the ice cream lived up to the hype. This was my first time trying Indian ice cream and I was not disappointed! Chai spice Saffron with pistachio Both were amazing and creamy. Definitely unique flavors so hope you take your tastebuds on a ride down to Sarabhas Creamery! Good place to sit and catch up, do some work, or study. (Unknown if there is WiFi). Ambience was nice. They have some board games too.
google avatar

Harrell B.

Yelp
Y'all need to check this one out!! Fabulous fresh ice cream in unique Indian style and flavor. The service is kind and helpful. The interior is comfortable and lounge like. Great place to finish off an evening.
google avatar

Michele B.

Yelp
This cute ice cream shop is located on the second floor of a small shopping center. It boasts being the first "Indian creamery in Nashville" having articles written about them and how good their ice creams are. Naturally we were intrigued. I ordered the coconut and kesar pista...so creamy and delicious! Lots of complexity in such a small dish of ice cream. My husband ordered the Indian coffee and chocolate and peanut butter ice creams. He let me have ONE bite of each...so selfish! But SO good! The place was pretty cavernous...but that could've been the time of day. There are a few places to sit to encourage little gatherings. We sat at the counter facing the street and it was very pleasant. Service was ok. He wasn't exceptionally warm...but not completely unpleasant.
google avatar

Amrita N.

Yelp
nice vibe, they had board games and chess which was super fun, the ice cream flavors were bomb, we ordered the mango and butterscotch and we loved it! the service was really great too! great vibe!
google avatar

Brooklyn A.

Yelp
The ice cream we got had frostbite, the coffee was ok, I got the Indian (hot) coffee which is basically same as a Middle Eastern coffee (espresso or coffee with cardamom), the ambience wasn't bad, it had some games to play like chess and other games. We enjoyed the "Shahi Gulab" which I believe they're known for.

Yelp
Just had a light lunch and was craving something sweet and cool on a humid and hot day. I was so glad I found this spot. Located in a small lot with two other restaurants, what stood out most is that this place was the only one on the second floor. The moment you enter, you're greeted by the wonderful Indian music that reminds me of Bollywood. Additionally, you are greeted by a wonderful gentleman who is patient and helpful. This location offers more than just ice cream, they also offer coffee and chai teas. I opted for ice cream with my kiddo and niece. We each got a different flavor: Indian coffee (me), butter scotch (kid), and mint chocolate chip (cousin). The Indian coffee was creamy and soft. It was very flavorful and not overly sweet. My cousin and kiddo loved their ice cream. It's a quaint location, one where if I lived in the area I would visit frequently for just a nice study or work area.
google avatar

Brooklynn K.

Yelp
Was shocked to find this spot has so much seating and feels more like a cafe than an ice cream spot. Hope they can capitalize on this especially right next to Vandy. Kind staff and quick service. I got a butterscotch milkshake but it was very runny/warmer than I expected. Not sure if that was the style or just a blip. Would go back to try more

This was my first experience with indian ice cream -- and it set the bar high! Perfectly creamy, sweet, and packed with flavor. I love the caramel crunch! I'd recommend getting just a cup of ice cream over a waffle bowl, since the normal bowl comes with a tasty waffle crisp, too. Service is great and it always feels like you're a truly valued customer. It's very laid back, and is a comfortable place to just hang out.

Yelp
First time visiting this Indian Café that has chai (tea), coffee, snacks & desserts. Hand-made ice creams tastes like the ones I use to eat back in India and these unique flavors are available here at Sarabhas Creamery! I'm not using an ice-cream person, but when I saw they had Mango Ice Cream, I HAD to get it. I got the 2 scoops, so 1 scoop with Mango flavor and the 2nd scoop with Rose Tutti Frutti, also so good! If you love anything mango or rose flavor, you will LOVE this. It was the perfect way to end the time. Not too quiet or loud, perfect setting to hang out with friends, casual date or even studying! There's chairs & tables and couches with couple board games. The service was amazing! They were kind and patience, gave good service! I wanted to try other things, but this cafe opens at 12pm and we were checked out and headed home. Looking forward to visiting Nashville next time and trying new items! Yelp
Ice cream is creamy almost like gelato. Great service and full seating area with variety of board games to play. Not a fan of the masala chai though.

Yelp
6 of us were wondering what to do when I remembered that Sarabhas stayed open late and had board games. So I threw it out and everyone decided to head over to hangout. The ice cream is a little pricey but it's basically made right here with love! They offer milkshakes and even hot food. We ordered 1 of everything. Egg Sandwich 1* - I'd not recommend the egg sandwich unless you really like spicy. 4 of us didn't like it and it got wasted. Green Sandwich 2.5* - Americans were ok with this. Masala Maggie 5* is instant noodles cooked with the packet sauce. It's basically Indian Fast Food. The kids loved it and probably the best hot item. Puff Pastries 4* Kind of a spicy hot pocket It was practically empty when I showed up but soon after, droves of people came in non stop until about 11pm! **There are 2 important negatives factors you need to know.** 1) For those with physical mobility issues, please note there is no elevator! It's only stairs unfortunately so you'd have to get your friends to pick up the ice cream to-go 2) Parking is awful! There's only a 30min max you can park if you don't want to spend $16 or get towed. I suppose it's really good for those who live/ work in the area and don't need to park. We ended up parking our cars in the back where it's a private parking lot but not as expensive

Yelp
As promised in my initial review, I was able to come by Sarabhas again on a Saturday evening. It was surprisingly busy but with plenty of seating available. The staff were friendly as always. I again ordered the regular cup and, this time, selected the mango and chai spice ice cream. They were delicious! I was specifically very impressed with the mango ice cream! Reminded me of ice cream I would have in my childhood. Hope to come back soon!

Yelp
Sarabhas has some of the best ice cream around. With fun and unique flavors, this is Nashville's first Indian ice creamery. My favorite flavor being the kesar pista. I get it nearly every time I visit. The staff are kind, providing sampled and recommendations of flavors. The vibe inside is intimate, chill, and fun. There are colorful decorations, comfortable seating, and fun games. It's only con is the lack of free parking. There is a small lot out front, that offers 30 minutes of free parking, but I'd love to sit and relax there for longer!

Yelp
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. In Nashville for a conference and decided to cap off a great day with a delicious scoop of good ice cream. Sarabhas Creamery looked unique, local and had a good array of unusual flavors. Off we went. On the fringe of Vanderbilt University, they are tucked away in the upper corner of a strip mall. The space is spacious and clean but dead. The two ladies behind the counter appeared to be put-out with getting us samples. No smiles, no warm greetings, just doing their job with NO enthusiasm. The flavors sounded intriguing but lacked a punch of flavor. The flavors were almost muted. We ordered the raspberry with white chocolate chips and chocolate peanut butter. The ice cream was good but did not unbelievable. They offer a solid and good product. To be fair to Sarabhas Creamery, school had just finished and most of the students are gone. Please give them a try and judge it for yourself.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this out but it fell very short of the promises. We had a flight of 9 flavors. If not for the color scheme most of the flavors were pretty much just plain vanilla with very little flavor. It wasn't busy but the service was very slow. The chai tea was both special either. About $40 worth of nothing with blaring Indian music and just some cafe type decor. Save your ice cream cravings for a better experience

Yelp
Great ice cream. We love the mango and coconut flavors. Chai is good too. Would recommend for any visitor to Nashville as a quick stop.

Yelp
Visited here a while ago, the ice cream was super creamy and they had a number of great flavors. The ambiance was very relaxing and nice place to unwind. The service was great, the young lady behind the counter was patient and friendly. They did offer us samples of the ones we wanted to try. I was having such a nice time, I absentmindedly left my purse with cell phone & $$ where I was sitting. I realized shortly after I left, ran back and the manager had kept it safely behind the counter. I was lucky enough to have a customer turn it in. Extremely grateful for that. I would 100% recommend.

Yelp
This Indian ice cream shop has excellent ice cream! Tucked upstairs, this shop has a ton of space and tables and really affordable ice cream for the location. Each table has a different board game that you can play with friends which is such a cool vibe for an ice cream shop. The single scoop options are close to 2 scoops! The kesar (saffron) flavor is unreal. So creamy and flavorful. One of the best ice cream flavors I've had before. The chai flavor is also excellent. Super pungent and sweet and so creamy. These ice creams are made in house and the staff are super friendly. You can sample flavors!

Yelp
The affogato was so good! Not only was It was a perfect combination of sweet ice cream and delicious espresso, but it also had some crunchy bits that made even tastier. My only gripe (which has absolutely nothing to do with the establishment) is the price for parking in the attached lot. It was $18.63 (with tax) for 2 hours, so I would recommend trying to find street parking on the adjacent streets.
