This was my email to Sardi's management but please read it. This is what the service has been reduced too at what used to be a favorite in our community:
I'm officially done with your restaurant chain, and 80% of the reason is due to the last few interactions and poor service at the Oxon Hill location. I went last nite and ordered the Churrasco De Pollo online to pick it up. When I got my bag from the cashier it felt extremely lite. So as normal, I stepped to the side to check my order and discovered that it was only one chicken breast in my order. I've order this meal multiple times before and knew something was wrong. The cashier informed me that y'all changed the menu and now it only comes with one. Thinking that telling me "but the price went down as well" was gonna fix it, she and your business is severely wrong. It hadn't been updated on the online site, further more, this was the last straw in like I said, was the most recent in a few disappointing interactions at this location. People don't care about a few dollars difference, if they're order what they want! And what they're used too. Then on top of this, my sides was barely filled to full or decent capacity. It's shameful to think that this community has supported your business throughout the years, from those extremely long lines on the Central Ave location due to such great quality and quantity of food, to your expansion all over the county, to now, nickel-and-diming your customers because you have a huge following. A week before, I had another incident we're I came into the Oxon Hill location to get some food after my workout and I walk into mops being moved around and employees scraping out the food containers into "to-go" contains. One employees was eating out of a aluminum food holder with her hands. As I walked up to the counter, an employee yelled "we're closed"...it was 8:48pm !!!!! Y'all are supposed to close at 9:30!! But I guess that doesn't matter. A few weeks before that there was another similar situation we're I came in the Oxon Hill location, around 8:00 and when I go to the head on the line to order, I asked for 1/2 chicken white with Brussel sprouts and fried rice. I was told "we're out of fried rice". When I asked when they were going to make some more, the man cutting up the chicken who takes the orders side "we're not making anymore, we close soon", like I said, it was 8:00!!! You have a whole hour and a half to FULLY serve your customers. This is unacceptable and I know I might be only one person, but my office has used Sardis for catering functions, so have I for family functions, and I visit Sardi's a few times within a month due to the dietary ways I like to eat and the menu items (prior to these incidents) and food quantities fit what I needed. But I will no longer give money to a business trying to live off its previous good name and try to cheap its customers out of more money with less food and terrible business practices. When you ask for anything extra like sauce or utensils, they act like you just asked for a million dollars then charge you, or if u ask the server, who's clearly not filling up ur plate with decent portions for more, they get an attitude. Myself, my family, nor my office will no longer patronize your business.
