Just left and was the only person in line , 7 people in the front and no one can take my order ? After saying something they made my plate with a attitude as if i did something wrong by asking for help . They sat my plate and still had me waiting , i ask so no one is going to wring me up , a lady finally help with a attitude. The atmosphere is so Negative , love my latinos/hispanics but this was poor representation on how you do business. I will never come here again. Recommending customer service training

I ordered a lot of food for a taste testing of Peru for my Kreative S.O.C.I.A.L homeschool summer camp. It was delicious! The kids luved the food especially the empanadas & chicken fried rice. The staff was also very helpful with any questions I had about the food. I highly recommend. 👍🏼

the food is good but the customer service is terrible. My family was trying to see what menu items best fit our budget for the day and one of the hispanic ladies there told my dad that she wouldn’t be this stingy with food if it was her even though she was not included in the conversation she inserted herself in our business. i dont think places like this should have people working front desk if they can’t be friendly or at least put up an act. horrible place to go because of the service you receive by the workers. very disappointed with this establishments choice of employees

I've had Sardi's a few times. But this last time I had them, little was left to be desired. I was highly disappointed in the quality this time around. I ordered the 3 meat combo with two sides: Rice and black beans, plantains, chicken skewer, shrimp skewer, and a lamb chop. I'll start with the pros: The food is seasoned well and staff are friendly. The rice and beans were delicious. The plantains were good. The chicken skewers were good. The brussel sprouts and carrots are always a hit! The cons: Although the shrimp was seasoned well, it was overcooked. I can't stand overcooked shrimp. Some of the plantains were hard, needing to be cooked longer. Let's get into the biggest disappointment, the freaking lamb chop! The lamb chop was so tiny I barely saw it. The staff was kind enough to make us another one at no extra charge, but even that was tiny. On top of it being another tiny lamb chop, I watched as they allowed the chop to burn, as no one was watching the single lonesome chop on the grill. I had to remind staff that it was on the grill. Someone finally pulled it off and tried to serve it to me, but as expected, it was burnt. They were going to make another one, but the damage was already done. Their carelessness left a sour taste in our mouths (my love and I). We probably won't return. I would not recommend the lamb chop. The single one I had was okay, but it was definitely not worthy of being an option in the three meat combo. They even sell the chops as a separate meal. But you'll be disappointed with the size. Especially with paying $30.

I never expected such a delicious soup - great job! Very nice staff too so I will come here more often.

We normally LOVE Sardi's food. But the service at this location is abysmal and somehow they messed up the flavor of the food and gave us slight food poisoning. Each time we've come here we order ahead for pickup. Each time we have to wait 10-15 minutes just for someone to come to the front and give us our food. It's always ready and paid for, sitting and waiting for an employee to give it to us. For some reason, plenty of employees will stare at us, will even ring up other customers in front of us ... And then just walk away like we're invisible? I get that some people might not have the "authority" or training to do things, but they can't even acknowledge us and say So-and-So is coming to help you? That on top of us getting sick from the food this time means we're never coming back to this location. And the bathrooms are gross too!

Warning!!⛔️ Make sure the catering trays are fresh. I bought a tray of rice and it was bad. It was smelly and tasted sour. I was reimbursed for my entire order after they smelled it themselves but I don't feel that was enough for risking the health of my family due to Oxon Hill Sardi's negligence. Oh yeah they did offer me an order of chicken and sides but who would want their food after experiencing that!

If u like ur chicken well done DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!!! I have been here 3 times & each time my chicken was not cooked all the way through, before u get to the bones u will see PINK HALF DONE MEAT (disgusting)…

Some people say Peruvian chicken is just baked chicken. Those who do have not had Sardi's. The prices are fantastic for DC. A huge meal.is possible for under $20. I got the half dark chicken, and it was tasty! Perfectly cooked, quality meat. They have about a dozen sides, and only 2 of them are potatoes. The cilantro rice is great. I prefer the spicy sauce and use it often with the chicken. I highly recommend a stop here if you're in the area. It's possible to do takeout, but it is much better eating it in the restaurant. (I've done both.)

The salmon is always fresh Brussels Sprout are to die for. The sauce is very creamy & food is always fresh.

3 stars bc the food is usually very tasty, flavorful, etc. But I just ate my very pink and chewy chicken as much as I could force down bc I'm a teacher and have very little time, and I'm extremely disappointed in the quality this time around. You already raised prices roughly 2.50 from less than a year ago, at least ensure a quality product if you're gonna do that. Side note: I work very close by and the drastic price increase has kept myself and my colleagues away way more than previous years. Please consider having a lunch special once in awhile or you might price yourselves right out of the area... After a cursory look at other reviews, I'm disappointed in the lack of care for the poor reviews. It doesn't seem like anyone reads these in order to improve...sad

I just stopped by the Sardi's in Oxon Hill, MD to pickup some food for my dear cousin and her family because she had a medical procedure. Sardi's aims to please. They are friendly, the food is tasty, they are generous with the portions. I tried their soup special for the month of January (chicken and rice) and it's hearty and tasty; too bad it's not a regular menu on the menu!!! Give them a try you won't regret it!!!

I love the gyro and the sauce and chicken. I wish they had a drive through or had curbside pick up.

Sardi's is a great spot for those looking for delicious, highly flavorful food in a fast-casual setting. While the service is average, it's still decent enough for a quick bite. The ambience of the restaurant is also just average, with a dining area that can be dirty at times. However, parking is available on site, which is a plus. The only downside is that the street it's located on can be busy at times. Overall, Sardi's is a great option for those in the area looking for tasty food without breaking the bank.

The food is good. My only complaint is the steak empanadas is always out. They need to take it off the menu. The chicken empanadas are dry because the use the breast meat. The meat is way overcooked or they use can chicken breast.

I usually love Sardi's but this location didn't get it right today. This was the driest pollo saltado I've ever had. No extra sauce at the bottom at all.

This was my first time visiting Sardis I came here to visit from NC the customer service was amazing the Food was even more amazing!!! I will definitely be coming back shout out to Yessenia the assistant manager and Manuel the kitchen manager You All Rock this whole team is amazing!! As you can see, nothing like the photo in their menu let alone the proportions especially with the rice. Dont order from here late at night as this is not the first time I've received orders that have been short OR missing items. Last time the store was out of a side, think they called? Negative, but they did write on my box that they were out of that item and didn't bother to replace it.

So I see these places popping up all over the DMV. But my last couple of orders the chicken was way too salty and my favorite item on the menu (the Brussel sprouts) were way to greasy with too many baby carrots and not enough Brussel. It was nice to have a place to go to get a dinner for my family that was close to what I make at home. I need these kinds of options when I'm in a crunch for dinner ( running late and need somewhat healthy food fast). But sadly this place has failed me and my family on too many occasions. Welp, guess I gotta cook, tired, late or lazy.

I thought they were having a bad day because they used to be customer conscious and the food WAS good. 1. The salmon looked like they boiled it 2. They had multiple excuses. 3. I ordered the combo platter and they forgot 1 of the 3 items and the Lamb was overcooked and rubbery. Took that back and instead of giving me what they left off they gave me what they wanted me yo have as IF I was bothering them. 4. Today is the last straw I really want to support them but I can't afford the disappointment. I walked 20 minutes each way (40 minutes) just to get disappointed again by something you would think is so effortless. quesadilla all poor customer service on separate occasions the same location NOT having a bad day. My son confirmed they're just awful now. I'm shocked and extremely disappointed

My go-to place for take out when I'm in the area. We usually get a whole chicken with brussels and plantains with all the green sauce. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and tastes great. The brussels are cooked well and are the veggie we need. The plantains are delish and, dipped in the sauce, it's even better. One issue: Today was a particularly busy day and no one asked if people were picking up, so that held us up quite a bit. In the future, I'd hope an employee would always ask, to assist customers who ordered online - since we do that to make things faster anyway.

This was my email to Sardi's management but please read it. This is what the service has been reduced too at what used to be a favorite in our community: I'm officially done with your restaurant chain, and 80% of the reason is due to the last few interactions and poor service at the Oxon Hill location. I went last nite and ordered the Churrasco De Pollo online to pick it up. When I got my bag from the cashier it felt extremely lite. So as normal, I stepped to the side to check my order and discovered that it was only one chicken breast in my order. I've order this meal multiple times before and knew something was wrong. The cashier informed me that y'all changed the menu and now it only comes with one. Thinking that telling me "but the price went down as well" was gonna fix it, she and your business is severely wrong. It hadn't been updated on the online site, further more, this was the last straw in like I said, was the most recent in a few disappointing interactions at this location. People don't care about a few dollars difference, if they're order what they want! And what they're used too. Then on top of this, my sides was barely filled to full or decent capacity. It's shameful to think that this community has supported your business throughout the years, from those extremely long lines on the Central Ave location due to such great quality and quantity of food, to your expansion all over the county, to now, nickel-and-diming your customers because you have a huge following. A week before, I had another incident we're I came into the Oxon Hill location to get some food after my workout and I walk into mops being moved around and employees scraping out the food containers into "to-go" contains. One employees was eating out of a aluminum food holder with her hands. As I walked up to the counter, an employee yelled "we're closed"...it was 8:48pm !!!!! Y'all are supposed to close at 9:30!! But I guess that doesn't matter. A few weeks before that there was another similar situation we're I came in the Oxon Hill location, around 8:00 and when I go to the head on the line to order, I asked for 1/2 chicken white with Brussel sprouts and fried rice. I was told "we're out of fried rice". When I asked when they were going to make some more, the man cutting up the chicken who takes the orders side "we're not making anymore, we close soon", like I said, it was 8:00!!! You have a whole hour and a half to FULLY serve your customers. This is unacceptable and I know I might be only one person, but my office has used Sardis for catering functions, so have I for family functions, and I visit Sardi's a few times within a month due to the dietary ways I like to eat and the menu items (prior to these incidents) and food quantities fit what I needed. But I will no longer give money to a business trying to live off its previous good name and try to cheap its customers out of more money with less food and terrible business practices. When you ask for anything extra like sauce or utensils, they act like you just asked for a million dollars then charge you, or if u ask the server, who's clearly not filling up ur plate with decent portions for more, they get an attitude. Myself, my family, nor my office will no longer patronize your business.

This place is a joke. NEVER do curbside. I ordered curbside and it said to call them when i arrived. My food was stated to be ready by 8:22. I called for 15 minutes no answer. I called and kept the phone ringing as i everntually went inside and I could hear the phone!!! They literally just dont answer. I was rudely told they didnt answer because my food JUST got done but it wasnt even hot!! She claimed they were "confused". If you are so confused that you can not answer the phone then you need to be at home under the care of a healthcare professional!! The food was disgusting! No season on my wings and huge chucks of potatoes is not mashed potatoes!! You think they could have cooked my food properly in all that extra time!!! I should have never come back after last time there was a hair in my food!! Im going to another location !!

Food is good, but service is lacking. You can have the best food in the world, but if the service is lacking it will cost you in the end. AC condensation leaks all over you and in your food. Not sanitary. The male individual and also the older ladies could increase their customer service, and it will do this establishment well. The guy was the rudest and I would eliminate him from the staff immediately.

How do you reward yourself after a dental cleaning...Sardi's was my answer. The chicken is always fresh, but today I opted for a lamb gyro and it was very good. They were generous with the meat with plenty of steak fries to make a filling lunch. The parking lot is small so it gets crowded quickly if you want to dine in. Be sure to try their fruit juices.

I have tried to like Sardiis because you many people like their food. The first time we went, we ordered a whole chicken. When I went to cut the chicken, I knew I was in trouble because the wing and drumstick did not move! As a foodie and greet cook, the tenderness of a bird is easily detected by how flexible the wing and drumstick move. The texture of the breast was tough and the chicken seemed cooked but not cooked long enough. So, decided to go back and get a pork chop and beef short rib dinner, which came to $31 Inc tax. Issue 1- ordered beef short ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy and mixed vegetables. Received beef short ribs with rice, mash potatoes ( no gravy) and mixed vegetables. Who wants mashed potatoes AND rice and not trying to weigh 600 lbs? The short ribs were paper thin- took a pic so see for yourself. Issue 2- ordered pork chops with no carbs and only veggies. Why did they give me rice??? The chops were center cut, but also paper thin! Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me. Seasoned well, but misses too many marks for the price!

Overall the food is good. But today we did the family chicken 2 sides and salad at 2pm on a Sunday. He cut the chicken and the dark meat looked kinda light pinkish I asked was it don't fully thru he said yes. Then I went to explain why I asked. He assured it was cooked and all chicken cooked the same. We get it home and the chicken is tough all the way through and still kinda pink on the bone. The guest I had really don't enjoy it.

Their food is hands down the best! Do yourself a huge favor next time you go in and get their grilled chicken breast that comes with rice and 2 sides and DEFINITELY get yourself their empanadas... seriously, DO IT! So good and of course, the white garlic sauce is an absolute necessity for the amazing yuca... ooo and the plantains omg... deeeeelicious!!!

Placed a very large order (serving pans) for family today and someone was super heavy on the salt. Not happy.

Ok...Sardis was closing and yes I entered close to closing time. They informed me there wasn't anymore chicken. Ok, cool...so I ordered a veggie platter. A man walked in and spoke with the guys behind the counter in spanish and then guess what...a 1/4 white piece of chicken magically appeared?!!! Are you kidding me right now? Then the cashier said "ohhh, those were probably just scraps of chicken" Can we say upset about this experience!! They would've never treated customers that way at the Laurel or College Park location! At least they could've let me leave before I could clearly see someone was getting something I orginally ordered. #yallsuck

I'm just going to say this sardis is not as good as others that I have been to I'm going to leave it at that Because I absolutely love this place and I had my 1st bad experience here at this one in oxon Hill maryland

I love everything about Sardi's. It's definitely a new staple for me in the Maryland area!

I have had their food before but never ordered in store..so it was my first time. I ordered the 3 piece dark I realized that I was missing a leg portion when got home. The description clearly states it. What they ended up doing was chopping one thigh to make it appear as two pieces and giving me one leg. I find that highly deceptive and sneaky. If I was told there was no more I would have waited for a new batch. My advice to you check your food before you leave. I am very diappointed that I didn't get what I paid for. Very inconvenient. Don't think I'll be back.

Don't waste your time with the curbside pickup! They never pick up the phone to come outside to your vehicle. It is false advertising. The food used to be really good now it is just ok. Portions are consistent but the sides don't always taste the same/good. It is like it depends on who is cooking that day. The lines are always way too long even during off hours.

The price is high and the service is bad. They assume you know the menu. I asked for a whole chicken and the told me that three sides were included in the price. Then, they charged me 27$ for one chicken and two sides.

Food was pretty good. I've had a not so good experience with another locations Sardi's, but this location didn't disappoint. Food was good and seasoned well. I still wish El Rancho was there but Sardi's will have to do

I cannot say enough about how good this food is. I've spent 150 eating here the last week and it's absolutely delicious. I've ordered via delivery so I can't speak to the service but as far as fresh food, outside of once, their delivery is consistently delicious, fresh and did I say delicious!!!

I've been frequenting this location off and in for the past year. It normally my last resort honestly because this location is VERY hit or miss. Pros: -They're reliable with food options and tasty choices...except that one time I got chicken that wasn't fully cooked and got food poisoning. To their defense this was during the height of Covid 19 and they appeared to be extremely short staffed this day. -One day over the summer after ordering online I went to pick up my food and had to stand in line. I told the young lady at the door I was picking up and still told to stand in life. THEN a gentleman of Hispanic descent walks up from his car to the door and tells the girl working he's picking up SOMEHOW she lets him in and allows him to skip the line ahead of all of the customers waiting outside. NOT COOL. Cons: -Every time I come in I notice no one except an employee of color actually had on a hair net. This was extremely off putting seeing as how every other employee (have their hair uncovered) -Most recently I found a HAIR in my food....(I wonder where that came from )

I must say I'm quite disappointed in Sardi's. I ordered my meal at 12:33pm and left at 1:05pm not having received my meal. There were several orders taken after mine whom received their order. I ordered the shrimp tacos with black beans as my side. I spoke with Leeann to cancel my order. She advised that it would take 48 hours for me to see the credit but yet would not provide a return receipt.

This place is a hidden gem! The chicken is simple but BANGING and the Empanadas are divine! It's like ten minutes from National Harbor in another world. But venture out and you won't be disappointed. Friendly fast service and the food is KILLER! The 1/2 chicken was way too much. The mix of seasoning and charcoal rotisserie they use is fantastic. Friendly and good ass food. Can't ask for more. Go over there today!

Great food. The Peruvian chicken is GREAT. I love the multiple choices of sides. Also, they have different sauces just try all. You will not regret it.

Come on guys, it's Sardi's! I get the same thing every time, unless I feel like lamb. The usual is 1/4 chicken dark, roasted veggies and fried plantain. It's not broken, so no need to spice it up. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I have gone to this place a few times I must say the first time the food was okay, but the last few times I have been there for some weird reason the sides I had (veggies; broccoli, plantain) tasted old. Their chicken is okay to eat once its still hot and fresh. Don't plan on preheating for the next day to eat won't taste good.

I wish i could leave no stars and blast tbis location for their rudness and lack of customer service beginning with the so-called manager!!! First off, DO NOT....I REPEAT DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER through their 3rd party vendor chownow! I placed an online order, entered my cc information and asked my s/o if he would pick up the order. When he arrived to pick up the order they then charged him 20.68, after my amex was charged 21.68 through chownow. When he arrived him he proceeded to tell me about the charge, i told him it qas already prepaid, even check my statement to see a pending charge from chownow. I called requesting to speak with the manager who proceeded to tell me my card was not charged. So he politely stated if my s/o brought back the receipt, he could refund him however they have no way of checking the chownow system to confirm i paid (which makes no fucking sense). then he stated the charge i see from chownow is an old charge (how when today is 5/8/18????? Then he proceeds to tell me my s/o ordered mashed potatoes wheb he arrived which is not true because he is highly allergic to potatoes. He decides argues with me about these fucking mashed potatoes that we/I nor he ordered. At this point, im pissed. Apparently, the cash register had no receipt paper therefore my s/o didnt get receipt nor was there one on the bag. The manager is rude and basically had an "oh well" attitude about the situation. We continued to exchanged words he was more focused on these so-called mashed potatoes, i checked the bag and of course...no mashed potatoes in thw bag. Lets do the math real quick so u can understand how much of an asshole this manager is... 1/2 chicken white meat with two sides $12.50, a vegetarian platter of white rice and black beans, maduros, and a house salad $7.95 with taxes total 21.68 (charged to me) and 20.68 charged to him...so please explain where the mashed potato charged falls in this order????? The manager then decided to hang up the phone on me. So i called back several times to be placed on hold. Presently, my s/o drove back to the store to address the situation face to face. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT DO AN ONLINE ORDER WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I ordered from this establishment in the past and got raw chicken (last year sometime) the manager reached out to me and offered a free meal which i did not take nor respond. I will never spend another dime at this place.

I ordered kids meal for my granddaughter and a steak and cheese for me and I requested my bread to be toasted well down/hard. Not only did they not do it correctly when I requested just some more bread toasted as requested I waited so long without even receiving the bread steel and cheese was cold. The cashier apologies and offered me a free drink or dessert. Uh I already paid for a drink and Im not interested in dessert so I just left with a carry out container and will use my own bread at home. Smh

Most Sardi's have good seasoning on their chicken. This new Sardi's 1) No cooked chicken for lunch rush 2) bad customer service 3) no diversity 4) watered-down mango punch 5) the emphamiss Peru chicken- was regular unseasoned chicken Shame On You Sardi's!

Sardi's is an average place to go and eat in terms of atmosphere (There is ample space to eat in). But it's no secret ... They have good tasting selections up and down the menu. Some items are a little over priced for the amount of meat you'll get, yet consistently good in flavor. This particular location has good customer service inside, but phone orders are poorly handled at times. Plus I dislike when restaurants serve hot food in styrofoam containers. I thought those containers were banned. If it's just about the food... 4 stars

I used to come here 2-3 times a week when it was El Rancho. Sardi's has since purchased the business and now everything is worse. The chicken was overcooked, the cilantro cole slaw has been replaced by KFC-quality cole slaw, the bacon pinto beans have been replaced by simple black beans, the garlic green beans have been replaced by regular green beans with a very small amount of onion, and the delicious cinnamon chickpeas have been replaced by nothing. The salsas verdes and amarillas that looked like they were made fresh that day have been replaced by lifeless, mass-produced cups of sauce. Sardi's management, if you are reading this, please swallow your pride and re-hire the cooks from El Rancho and have them cook the chicken and side dishes. They simply made a better product. I turned my entire office onto El Rancho chicken, and now nobody wants to go back. Just to clarify, if El Rancho had never existed, I probably would have given Sardi's a 3 or 4 star review. It's still better than most places out there, but it replaced a legendary food establishment.

Be careful placing orders online using chownow because they don't fulfill your complete order. I was shorted half the order the night before thanksgiving. It was supposed to be eaten for thanksgiving.

Went in to order a burger with American cheese. I confirmed with the woman taking orders that they indeed had American cheese. I get to the cashier and the woman working the register lies and says they do not have American Cheese. I ask her to confirm because this was not what was just communicated to me. They indeed have American cheese. I do not recommend this establishment as they are inconsistent and have no issues lying to patrons.

Good is Always amazing never had any problems. Great fast service. Be sure to allow yourself extra time for lunch the line is always long. But moves pretty quick. I always get the half chicken with Arroz Chaufa and green beans. The green beans are always so fresh as you would expect. The portions are great you get what you pay for nothing less. Worth every penny every time. Amazing amazing amazing!!!

This place literally has the black guy wearing a hair net and no one else. All of the Hispanic ladies with long hair NEVER have on a hair net but you make the black man wear one? Hm? Tell me this is a joke. I contacted corporate and of course there's nothing but crickets on the matter.

This used to be my go to spot for dinner since 2017. However recently I've noticed that the food isn't as consistent and isn't has flavorful as it has been in the past. When I get really hungry and don't feel like driving very far I still come and check Sardi's out

First I ordered take out from them for first time. They didn't have the dessert I ordered. Took one bite of the ceviche pescado & it was not good at all.
