Mitch McConnell Heckled Out of Restaurant for Second Time in Two Days | Eater

"An Italian restaurant in Louisville where Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was dining when roughly ten protesters followed him in, blasting Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power” and chanting “no justice, no peace,” a disturbance that forced him to leave mid-meal. Staff reportedly attempted to continue serving and urged protesters to leave, with some employees escorting them out, while a bartender from the adjoining business lent a speaker that protesters used; McConnell ultimately departed with bodyguards and unmarked cars as organizers said the action was intended to hold him accountable for his support of certain immigration policies." - Daniela Galarza

We visited on a weeknight and the dining room was almost empty. There were a few other couples and one small group by the bar. The server was curt and inattentive. It was very reminiscent of talking to an angsty teenager. The food was good. The charcuterie was disappointing. Portion sizes were smaller than expected; you get to pick which meats and cheeses, which is lovely, but the accoutrement was very below expectations. The pasta was delicious and if I went back, I would get a dish that focused on pasta. Unfortunately, the patron they seated directly behind us was drowning in cologne and really affected the atmosphere. The choice to put such a strong smelling man by other patrons was poor, especially with so many empty tables. While the restaurant cannot control who comes, they can mitigate the impact they have on others. I was sitting farther from him than my husband, and he was still overwhelming.

Google
Amazing food, good service! Got 2 meals, an appetizer and dessert and only spent just over $100 after a 20% tip. Food was reasonably priced for it being handmade pasta and everything was delicious! We got the vodka sauce pasta and chicken parm. And really recommend getting the tiramisu for dessert, if you’re full still get it and they will package it to go for you!!!

We've been here several times. The food is always fresh and the servers have extensive knowledge of the menu. My personal favorite is the pea pesto. They also have excellent charcuterie and pizza.

Google
let me start by saying: i went for a birthday party, so most of the reservation/seating was available as i walked in. BUT beyond not knowing what the real wait-time might be, it was such an excellent dinner! i had a citrusy drink (i don’t remember what it was called ha) and eggplant parmesan, but i tasted another meaty pasta dish from my friends plate. all were delicious! low lighting would be nice for a first date, there were TVs at the bar if one were more inclined to a solo dinner, cool/inclusive art. plating and service were good. i can’t say enough good things! i can’t wait to go back. i do wish i got more pictures than just the one of the oil and vinegar in the shape of a face. lol.

Google
Pasta was fresh and flavorful, we tried 4 different dishes and enjoyed them all. All of the appetizers were also delightful. If you go for a birthday they also provide a desert on the house. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back in the future! Update: Came back for my birthday dinner tonight and had a wonderful time! Every dish was fantastic, I was thrilled to have another 5 star dinner. Thank you!

This was our first time here. We started our day with brunch to celebrate our 5 year Anniversary. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! I had the Bella for my drink & the Bolognese. My husband had the Breakfast Platter with a waffle on the side & we shared the Zeppole for dessert! Wonderful 👍🏽

Google
This restaurant not only has curb appeal it has a wonderful atmosphere and ambience. Our server was wonderful. The food was amazing and I recommend the pea pesto, so good, and the shrimp scampi, also Brussels sprouts were great. We will be back for sure!

Google
A+ experience! All the pasta is made in house and you can't choose wrong from the menu. Just close your eyes and point! It's all scrumptious. Our server Nick was outstanding. An authentic Italian experience in Louisville. Must go and enjoy!

Yelp
Finally tried brunch at Sarino's after numerous dinner visits and couldn't believed I hadn't reviewed it. The house made focaccia and oil side is my favorite appetizer, the salmon is and you can't go wrong with any of the house made pastas with generous portions. For brunch with tried the Benedict, breakfast pizza and a cannoli for desert. The pizza was delicious and well sized. The eggs Benedict was smaller but very good and a bit spicy. And the cannoli- as good as it looks.

Yelp
My husband and I were recently in Louisville for a week and tried several Italian restaurants, and Sarino is definitely a restaurant we will return to on future visits to Louisville Food was fresh and delicious. We had spaghetti pomodoro, and the sauce was very fresh and yummy. A plus for both of us if they had Guinness and Blue Moon on tap. We found out a lot of Italian restaurants in Louisville don't have a big and/or good selection of beer, and we were pleased to be able to drink the beer we like with our meal. It will definitely be on list for future Louisville trips.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a saturday, not very busy which is why I was surprised that our server didn't check on us that much. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich which was delicious, it came with crispy potatoes which were in fact crispy and cooked to perfection. I loved the vibes of the restaurant inside and outside, definitely beautiful. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service wasn't great, it was just ok.

Yelp
So good! Second time here. I dream about the vodka sauce pasta. Everything was very good!

Yelp
I've been quite a few times at this point and it has been pretty good. The drinks aren't my favorite and usually will just settle for a glass of wine. What is my favorite is their pork chop. I ordered the risotto once and didn't care much for it. Not enough risotto. Way to "juicy" for me. The shrimp scampi is pretty good but the star of the show is definitely the pork chops and will likely be my go to when I visit.

Yelp
First time visit this place. The place wasn't too bad, it is just little loud. I didn't know that they have parking lot. There wasn't much choices for cocktails like bourbon. I might have overlook. I was there for pizza week. Their pizza, margarita pizza is so good. It is nice and simple and it is good with glass of wine.

Yelp
Walking in we were sat quickly. The calamari started off the meal so well. My wife ordered the lasagna. The portion was insanely large, just a bit too heavy on the sage for her taste. The pork chop with the apple butter changed my life. The shrimp scampi has a great lemon flavor.casual dining, but nice setting.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal and very authentic Italian cuisine. Great ambiance, excellent customer service, and economical priced. Highly recommend for brunch or dinner!

Yelp
I visited Sarino a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a while, and there were some highlights and some not-so-great moments. First, for the good, I ended up getting the pea pesto as my entree. This is a new take on pesto I've never had before, and would definitely get this again. If you're a pea fan especially, this dish is for you. OK, now the not-so-good: I got the pea pesto because I had to send back my prosciutto arugula pizza. I've NEVER sent a dish back. But this was inedible. The biggest problem was that the dough in the center was not cooked. It was mushy. And the prosciutto was so thick that even if the crust was cooked all the way through, you couldn't bite through the prosciutto easily. When I sent it back, the server remarked that this style of pizza meant that the crust was softer. I get that, but again, this wasn't a question of softness but the fact that it wasn't cooked. She did replace my order with the pesto, though, so I'm happy for that. The ambiance here is great, and it was easy to get a reservation. Our server was also attentive. I would come back, but I wouldn't get the pizza.

Yelp
The restaurant has a really pleasant vibe to it. Parking was difficult as the restaurant was packed (which is a good sign). We had reservations for 7:30 and were arrested immediately. Our server was friendly, helpful with suggestions and attentive. Ordered a bottle of wine as Wednesday means 1/2 off wine bottles. My husband started with the fried calamari appetizer followed by a very simple serving of lasagna. He treated them both as excellent. I ordered the chicken Parm, minus the melted mozzarella and they were very accommodating. The chicken was accompanied by a serving of spaghetti. The chicken was most and flavorful, the spaghetti was a bit too aldente for me and was drowning in Sauce. I'm a bit more of an Italian purist who believes that pasta should be lightly. But, who needed all those carbs anyway. I also ordered a side of broccolini that was roasted to perfection. So good. Interesting that we had a free dessert deal on my Yelp app grin a previous check in here. They had no idea what it was about (even one of the owners who came over to investigate) but honored it anyway. A true class act. If you haven't been to Sarino's you should check it out. You won't be disappointed. And their rating from the health department is a perfect 100!

Yelp
On the plus side the service was friendly and the pasta was al dente. The Caesar salad we shared was very good. The ambience was pleasant and modern. The prices are on the higher end. Due to it being Mother's Day the place was packed and the 3 servers I saw were having a time keeping up. They seemed overwhelmed. We were there 1 1/2 hours. Although we had a handicap permit the small lot was full and I had to find a spot a couple of blocks away after I dropped my wife off at the door. We will have to come back on a less crowded day in the future.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Sarino for a while and I'm a sucker for brunch so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and bring my parents here for our annual pre-Christmas date. My husband and I made reservations for 4 at 11:30 on a Saturday. Totally not needed as the restaurant was empty but I wanted to be on the safe side. We started with the burrata toast and it was so good! Creamy, lemony, and crunchy. Absolutely perfect! I chose the shrimp and grits for my meal as it is my favorite brunch dish. It wasn't my favorite but it was tasty. The rest of the table enjoyed their prosciutto benedicts and chicken parm. I will definitely return for dinner!

Yelp
I returned to Sarino with a large party of co-workers. Our reservation was at 5:30p and the restaurant was empty but filled up during our time there. Service was great, especially considering we had a group of 12 people. Like the first visit the food was only an average experience that does not match the price of entrees. I can't imagine returning for Sarino for anything more than a cocktail. Dishes tried: * Bruschetta: disappointing! The topping of marinated tomatoes and onions was abundant but the bread came across as stale. * Calamari: not a personal preference for me, but boy did it smell. More than one person at the table commented on the fishy smell. * Farro and arugula salad: Delicious! Loved the champagne vinaigrette and toppings. I requested no walnuts. * Ham and risotto pizza: the concept was great and the toppings came together well. However, the crust was so dry and not worth eating. *Wine specials: half-price bottles on Wednesday. Enjoyed splitting a bottle with two friends. Private parking lot and street parking available.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD!! If you are looking for a cute date or dinner spot for pasta and Italian food then this is the place. The back porch is nice for the spring/ summer too. I got some pumpkin pasta with focaccia bread and my friend for got the carbonara! We also split the calamari too.

Yelp
Sarino is a great place to have a date night, a large friends/family dinner, or even just a drink at the bar. The servers are very knowledgeable about food allergies, especially for those that are gluten free. The cocktails are fabulous, and can recommend the Black Manhattan or the Berries, Basil, Bourbon. But the reason we keep coming back is the food. I've had the grilled pork chop 3 times, and each time it's cooked to perfection. If you can get potatoes au gratin bedded with it, the meal is even better. I also split three apps that left me stuffed, but very satisfied.

Yelp
Sarino made our last minute date night plans a reality! We were craving pasta and while the online reservation website said they had no availability, when we called they were able to get us a table for two. On our way over, we got stuck behind a 10+ minute long train and called to let the host know we were running late, they were incredibly polite and did not make us feel like a burden in any way. Seeing as we were running late-- we were happy to see the private parking lot! I really loved the outdoor seating, I thought it was a beautiful space. The only thing I will say is the tables were quite long for two people, I had to really speak up to have a conversation. Our calamari appetizer really impressed us, the breading was thin yet delicious. I had the Bella Radiatore Seafood pasta, I loved the flavor. The vodka pasta my boyfriend had was a little off, it had an overpowering onion flavor and was a bit disappointing. Hopefully it was just that dish or that day because I saw many other menu options I'd like to try another day!

Yelp
Good food, great service, amazing outdoor space. There were so many choices that it was difficult to narrow it down. We were both hungry but definitely over ordered. Looking forward to going back and trying out some other items. Will definitely bring more friends so we can order more things!

Yelp
As I walked up to the restaurant, I could see other guests seated inside. I rethought how I was dressed, wearing jeans and a University sweatshirt. The restaurant is on the classy side, so I advise dressing business casual or nicer for dining here. I dined here during Restaurant Week and am glad I did, because all three courses were excellent. I started with the fried calamari with cocktail sauce, and I'd give it a 9/10, taking off a point for the presentation. A few of the pieces looked overcooked. It was quite tasty, though. My second dish was salmon and brussels sprouts. Quite possibly the most delicious brussels sprouts I've ever tasted. While eating them, the thought crossed my mind that the chef that made this dish happen is a genius. The salmon was served atop what I'm guessing was a pumpkin puree. Magnifico! (This is an Italian restaurant, after all.) I opted to finish with the Cannoli, which was fresh and delightful, and surrounded by a variety of fresh berries. I was very much looking forward to sinking my taste buds into the espresso martini, and it definitely delivered. Wow! The service was quite good. Not above and beyond, but good. I asked to carry out 1/2 of my appetizer. My server boxed it up at the table but didn't include any cocktail sauce or offer any to carry out. Each course arrived promptly. I never felt rushed to pay or to leave even though I arrived exactly an hour before closing time. Lastly, when I went to the ladies" room to wash my hands, I noticed that all three faucets put out only a trickle of water, which also wasn't very warm. The restroom was clean, however. I recommend this place and give it 4.6 stars.

Yelp
Private parking lot Residential area Seating (weather permitting) indoor and outdoor. Full bar with television. Seating will accommodate small parties and large parties. Nice atmosphere, location and friendly staff. I tried shrimp and grits, I was not prepared for the tomato based shrimp. Polenta was good.

Yelp
Such a great experience for brunch on Sunday. It's beautiful inside and has lots of outdoorish seating. They had fresh Lilly arrangements all around which smelled great. The menu was unexpected with lots of lunch options. Hand made pastas I believe so I got their pasta salad with anchovies. Not quite what I expected but still good. My only complaint would be to clean up the bathroom a little.

Yelp
Since the place across the street was closed I tried this place but from the first drink I was not a fan. Ordered a simple drink, an Old Fashion, but it came with chunks of ice which watered down the bourbon and that set the standard for everything forward. If you are in the heart of bourbon country, you need to keep up with how to make this signature drink. It definitely did not come with the required two ounce pour and it was not anything like an Old fashion nor was it worth $15. I had the caprese salad as a starter and this was not cold or flavorful. The basil sprig was wilting and the flavor was not quite there. They cut the heirloom tomatoes incorrectly so several of the pieces had huge stem parts in it. The main entree was the vodka sauce pasta which came with shrimp. These were without tails but there was only 5 in the entire dish and these were small shrimp. It was very disappointing that the entrees didn't include any bread to soak up the sauce in the dish because my dish had a lot of extra sauce afterwards. The pasta was prepared "al dente" which wasn't too bad if you like a bit of a chew in your pasta. The waiter did offer fresh pepper for the caprese salad but gave me a pepper shaker for the dinner entree. Also, the salt shaker didn't shake any salt out because of humidity and although I showed him, he brought another one that didn't work either. I would consider the ambiance as very nice, the bar area was nice and organized and the outdoor patio was set up to enjoy the outdoor weather without being impacted by the sun or rain. It had an open air feeling and it had trees and shrubs in the atrium. The clientele was both young and old, and it was about 35% full. I was not impressed with the food or the poorly prepared $15 old fashioned. I would also recommend thinking twice before ordering anything other than a beer or a shot. It's obvious the bartender is not capable of making real drink as it should be. I also had to stay on top of the waiter to refill my water since I was not going to pay another $15 for an ill prepared drink.

Yelp
Excellent Date night with my wife- good service, great wine menu and cool outdoor seating area. Big serving for Chicken Piccata and Chicken Parm. Large portions- def reccomend Sarino's!

Yelp
I recently visited Sarino with a friend who has a gluten allergy. After seeing the menu online offering gluten free pizza and pasta we made a reservation. The waiter was polite about the gluten free request and diligent about getting the order right. I myself am not gluten free and even I found the gluten free Margherita Pizza was very good. The restaurant was not very busy for 7:00 on a Saturday. I will definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service, food was good, interesting decor and a nice patio. A little pricy on the drinks but a lot of interesting flavors. The pork chop was exceptional.

Yelp
Visited this gem for a birthday dinner. Ambiance was very classy. Staff greeted us at the door. Restaurant was packed; very comfortable seating. The meatballs, Calamari, and Arancini were cooked to perfection. My entree was the sausage brick oven pizza. My date had grilled shrimp with goat cheese risotto. I died and went to heaven. The risotto was one of the best dishes I had that night. Will definitely be back to try more entrees on the menu.

Yelp
Group of 15 convened for a 5 PM Saturday dinner and was a bit challenging to find the restaurant due to small street signage and tucked in rather tightly next to adjacent buildings. Parking lot was easy to navigate and also plenty of street parking at this time of evening. We were seated at a long wooden table with bar height wood chairs in the middle of the room and plenty of big screen TV's were within easy view for anyone wanting to keep an eye on the programming. The aroma emanating from the kitchen was divine. I started with a glass of Chianti and then an order of chicken Marsala with broccolini as my entree. Food service was efficient and we were all served within minutes of each other, so very impressed. The chicken cutlet was butterflied and pounded thin, tender enough to cut with a fork, and with a tasty breading and served with a creamy mushroom sauce and rich roasted tomatoes. The broccolini was grilled crisp tender and bright green, a tad bit salty, but delicious. Our waitstaff were excellent. Very attentive and water glasses were kept topped off periodically and all questions answered. Dessert menu was brought around and looked very appealing with tiramisu, cannoli, and zabaione, but we were satiated after the wonderful entrees. We had a nice surprise near the end of our meal -- one of our awesome waitstaff sang an impromptu song from The Man of La Mancha and was fantastic. I think I heard one of my fellow diners say he is a trained opera singer and I can definitely believe it. (Cute, too!) Bravo! Bravo! Plan to return for an Encore!

Yelp
What a surprise that they were able to seat us (a table of 6) right away on a Saturday night. As most places in this area aren't large for bigger parties, Sarino has great food and there space to accommodate. We started off with a kids pizza (my toddler loved it). You could tell the dough was fresh and hot from the fire. The seafood risotto had a bit of spice to it and was a little runny for my taste but overall we liked it. The pizzas were delicious, I wish they'd kept them in the oven just another minute or two - the cheese pizza was cooked perfectly so I know it was just the dough needing more time. The service was friendly and timely, they seemed to like their jobs and helping people. We'll definitely be back for more, as their menu was expansive.

Yelp
Anyone who follows my food reviews are well aware that when it comes to Sarino, I'm a fan. If you aren't familiarizing yourself with their dinner menu, you're doing yourself an injustice. BUT, I have something new to talk about. Sarino brunch. I'm ashamed to admit that it took me so long to try it. I don't even think that I'm being biased in saying that it's the best brunch I've had in Louisville. On risk of negating the level of class and service, I would feel amiss if I described it as anything less than effing phenomenal. I came in this morning-ish with my husband and two toddlers. We were sat in a booth and John, our server, helped guide us through the menu. He was personable, professional, and he didn't steer us wrong. I think of myself as a bit of a Benedict connoisseur, so I was glad he mentioned it. We typically gravitate towards savory, but we wanted to add something sweet for the kids. We ordered the following- Prosciutto Benedict -- ciabatta, prosciutto di parma, poached eggs, calabrian chili hollandaise, crispy potatoes Breakfast Pizza -- basil, mozz, breakfast sausage, eggs, crispy potatoes - add Calabrian honey Cannoli Waffles -- sweet ricotta, chocolate chips, fresh berries, powdered sugar The Calabrian chili hollandaise really stood out. It added the perfect level of spice. And by stood out, I mean...your crispy potatoes will serve as the perfect vehicle for making sure there isn't a drop left on your plate. I loved everything about the prosciutto Benedict, but this wasn't a surprise. Full disclosure, for an Italian food lover, I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not generally impressed with traditional pizza as much as I should be. But the fresh basil, chunks of sausage, the eggs (over easy); pizza has never been so delicious. The star here was the Calabrian honey. Sweet baby Jesus. If spice isn't your forte, it's not for you. For everyone else, don't skip it. Trust me. If they sold it in jars, I would eat it on everything. Lastly, I ordered the cannoli waffles for the kids. I can count the number of foods I don't like on my fingers. I'm a food lover. But, I have yet to meet a waffle that I would give a second thought to...until today. The waffles are yeasted with lemon and ricotta. Lemon and ricotta. I typically give the littles whatever they want. They're my kids. But, I've never eyeballed a stack of waffles more closely to ensure I was cutting them into equal portions. My husband took my two-year-olds left over slice of pizza. Undoubtedly sucked on, all the toppings removed, and he slathered it Calabrian chili sauce and devoured it. We were gluttonous and it was perfect. Sarino brunch, I think I love you.

Yelp
I have to say this resteraint has become the one of my favorite go to spots on the weekday as the food is exceptional the staff is kind, fun, and gracious, no matter what iv ordered its been top notch in quality. The grilled pork chop rivals that of Jeff rubys We love sitting have g a few cocktails and decompress from the day. Highly recommend the fresh salads.

Yelp
Sarino is a lovely restaurant -- very cool vibes and playlist. The grilled pork chop was the highlight of this meal and the service was so generous. The mussels were a very generous portion...maybe too much? The carbonara was tasty too -- very rich and a little salty. Overall, I would definitely come back here for the AMAZING pork chop, but I may try a different pasta and appetizer.

Yelp
Ate there yesterday after several good reviews from friends. The food was not good. Had Chicken parm that had basically no taste and the chicken was grainy, friend had lasagna, and they mentioned it was not made in house. It was so full of ricotta cheese it was inedible. No bread served with meals unless you ordered it separately. Very exorbitant prices for food that wasn't as good as a Fazoli's fast food restaurant. We were VERY disappointed in the meal. Won't return.

Yelp
Such sweet service, we really enjoyed Restaurant Week here. All 3 courses delicious! The inside is modern/contemporary, with a comfy feel. I wasn't expecting it, but the restaurant has its own parking lot so you don't have to park on the street. We enjoyed the experience--two thumbs up! I'm updating my review to remove a star, as we noticed mold growing on leftovers (2 different entrees) within 48 hrs with proper storage. This is a little peculiar and makes me wonder what made the food spoil so quickly.

Yelp
It was a nice quiet venue great for a date night with my favorite guy! We got the focaccia read with balsamic vinegar and oil and they give you 2 loaves of bread! Enough to take home one loaf and make sandwiches or toast with breakfast! Then the main course was decadent and we both enjoyed our meals! I got the vodka sauce with rotini and meatballs and the portion size was enough to take home half for a repeat of the meal the next day! My husband had the same situation! We didn't have desert because of the event we planned after dinner but they looked good being served to other tables! Our server wasn't the best but the food and experience made up for it! We will be going back aguan and maybe next time a double date!

Yelp
My group of four made reservations for dinner at 8:00 p.m. on Derby Day. Due to traffic, we were running late, and they were so accommodating by allowing us to move our reservation to 9:30 p.m. We were given the option of being seated indoors or on the patio. Due to the lovely weather we chose the patio, and it is such a cute space. The indoor space was also decorated beautifully! Our service was great! We were offered a five course meal for $90, and the food was delicious. I ordered their Fried Calamari, and it's some of the best I've had! Their Vodka Sauce dish was divine, and was incredibly flavorful. I would have given five stars; however, my friend had ordered the filet and asked for it to be cooked medium rare. It was cooked medium well. While this is a genuine mistake, the waitress only offered for the meal to be re-made. At which point, the rest of our party had finished our main courses. I do wish some type of discount had been applied to her bill because she did not get to enjoy her meal. Despite this, I genuinely enjoyed our time, and I will be returning. Truly some of the best service I've received in Louisville, and delicious food!

Yelp
Wow! We walked in at prime time on a Saturday without a reservation and just happened to get lucky and get a table. Reservations recommended! We had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The service was perfect, our drinks stayed full, food came out quickly, and plates were cleared from the table as needed. The food was absolutely incredible! We started with the focaccia, which was definitely enough for 4 people, but we got two orders and devoured them. Their pasta is fresh made! I don't typically eat pasta, but fresh pasta is such a treat, I couldn't resist. I talked my husband into the pork chop, so we shared the two plates and wow! The carbonara was soft, creamy, slightly salty, and had some crunch from the pork. The pork chop was stunning. It was huge and with the bone. I don't know how they cooked it so perfectly, so quick! I was trying not to take food photos, but I couldn't resist once that pork chop was served. There was a large party behind us. They were having a birthday meal and we could see that their service was excellent too. They were a little loud, but that's to be expected and certainly not a complaint. We were still able to hear each other and have a lovely time connecting with our friends. This was such a treat! Definitely worth coming back for! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Love Sarino for personal or business dinners! Anytime I'm craving Italian this is one of my favorite places to go. In the summer I love sitting outside, but the inside is just as beautiful with its light and sophisticated feel. The staff is always attentive and helpful in describing the dishes and any specials. Food: my personal favorite is the vodka sauce pasta. I'm a sucker for a good vodka sauce pasta, and this one takes the cake. Don't miss the focaccia though! It's so light and airy and a really good price for the amount you get. On occasion they have a chocolate truffle for dessert- it is decadent and rich but HUGE! If you get it (which you should) then plan to split it with one or two others! I have also brought a small business dinner here before and appreciate how attentive and patient they were. Business dinners can be long and involve too much talking and not enough eating- but the staff handled it perfectly. They gave us our space when needed but still assured we had amazing service. Parking: they have a parking lot attached but when it is busier you will have to street park. During the week it's not bad but on weekends when a few of the other restaurants are open it can be slim pickings. Even when it's busy I've never had to walk far. I'm also thrilled to see they have brunch! Can't wait to try it!

Yelp
The food was good but terrible service. Six people at the table, one check, charged the 20% gratuity, but rarely saw our waiter.

Yelp
We were definitely impressed! My partner had the pork chop and he said it was the best pork chop he's ever had! I had the Chicken parm and you could absolutely tell it was fresh! The atmosphere was inviting and perfect! The staff was so attentive and gave wonderful recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Was excited to try this place for the first time. We went on a Sunday around 5. Place was not busy we were greeted and seated. Our table was dirty and sticky. We ordered the risotto balls they were extremely salty, based on that we decided to not order a main course and shared a Margherita pizza Service took forever place was not what I expected. Not worth the hype.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came here for restaurant week, and we were really wowed! We got meatballs and calamari, pork chops, and tiramisu. Everything was good, but a couple things really stood out. First, the calamari is some of the best in the city. Is crispy and not over-battered. I would prefer a chili sauce with it, but the marinara was still very good. Then, the pork chop. We both got it because it looked so good, and it was incredible! If you like pork chops, I wouldn't order anything else lol. I really like to experiment with different food but I'll certainly order this again. I didn't get to try the Neapolitan Pizza, but that's another option that looks great. I'll definitely return here soon.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is really relaxing and comforting. My fiancé and I had a nice experience at Sarino. We were able to make a reservation on a Sunday for later in the evening. When we arrived, we were seated quickly with our reservation, and with their reward system we were offered a free appetizer. I was craving risotto and salmon, so I ordered the risotto appetizer and salmon entrée. He ordered the lasagna. Our food was served relatively fast. The risotto contained saffron and I know now that I'm not a fan of this spice. The server took it off the bill, which was very nice of her. The salmon and brussels were good but not enough to impress me. I was actually impressed with my fiancé's lasagna. The red sauce was full of flavor and the meat wasn't overpowering. He wasn't a fan though - it was inconsistent for him. Burnt around the edges and dry, but then in the middle it was perfect. He would prefer a more consistent piece of lasagna. We were very full, so we didn't opt for dessert. If we come back then perhaps we will try something. I'm not even sure we were offered a dessert menu now that I think of it.

Yelp
Started with the $5 The Bella Bellini, perfect. The Prosciutto Benedict cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and very cordial staff. Great place for Sunday brunch!!!

Yelp
I truly loved everything about this place. The ambiance with the pitched ceilings and trees in the courtyard makes a nice indoor outdoor feel. The service was top notch and the food was excellent. We got arancini, eggplant parm and bolognese. Portions are HUGE, next time we might split an app, entree and dessert. Try to go on Wednesday for half off bottles of wine! Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and the outside patio has the best ambiance! Can't go wrong here!

Yelp
AL DENTE! Not in a good way. I wish my meal was better because it's such a cute spot. These noodles in my Bolognese were chewy so dente. Raisins in the meatballs.... I said raisins in the meatballs. Questionable decision but once I picked them out it was pretty good

Yelp
We purchased a Groupon for Sarino's, and were excited to try it. Luckily, we were not disappointed! The ambiance on the patio was nice, the service was solid, and the food was great! We ordered the focaccia bread as an appetizer, salmon and pizza/salad for entrees, with cannoli for dessert. Can't wait to return and try more things.

Yelp
I'm torn between three and four stars here. I'm tempted to err on the positive side, as it takes a lot for an Italian eatery to impress me... but it just hits like a three-star experience. I personally prefer the Come Back Inn - located just one mile away - when I have a hankering for Bolognese or a slice of Lemon Marscapone Cake. Sarino is housed in a large building, but the awkward shotgun-style corridors make it feel crowded nonetheless. The acoustics aren't great; prepare to hear the conversations going on around you. My date and I sat in a glass-enclosed section, which was drafty in the heart of winter. We tried two cocktails: the Lavender Blues and the Berries, Basil, Bourbon. Both were well-balanced, but the former was too bland. The latter isn't necessarily innovative ingredient-wise, but it was quite delicious. On the downside, it loses points for being mostly ice, as you can clearly see in my photo. For an educational appetizer, we grabbed the Arancini. They're essentially three large, fried croquettes formed with saffron-rice and a bit of meat. I was pleased with the generous serving size and we enjoyed the flavor and texture of the dish. The reviews I read all indicated that Sarino's specialty is their pasta, which they make from scratch. So we heeded the wisdom and ordered Arrabiata and the Vodka Sauce pasta. The Vodka Sauce pasta didn't impress me - it had a unidimensional, light cream flavor and homogenous texture, both of which grew old quickly. In all fairness, it might simply be a dish that I dont like - this was my first time ordering vodka sauce pasta. I doubt that Sarino's execution missed the mark too much. The Arrabiata had a slight kick to it, a nice red sauce, and bits of sausage - this was much more my speed and I'd recommend it. As a leftover, it continued to taste better after a day in the fridge. For dessert, we had a dense chocolate torte. I've had dozens of desserts structured similarly to this one, but this one was especially good: rich and delightful, accented by pieces of fruit. Service was slow, but the bussers were great about actively refilling our water and clearing our plates. The price tag wasn't unreasonable for a date night. I wasn't impressed enough to come back any time soon, but I also wouldn't be upset to venture back if a group of friends wanted to try this spot.
