The Newest Restaurants In Philadelphia - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"There’s now an Indonesian restaurant mere feet from Spring Garden Station. This BYOB offers durian and avocado shaved ice drinks to pair with beef rendang, rice platters, and a skewer party of marinated chicken, lamb, and pork. " - Candis Mclean, Alison Kessler

The Hottest New Restaurants in Philly, January 2024

"Husband-and-wife owners Indra Cipto and Fenty Triany have brought a new Indonesian restaurant to Spring Garden that’s inspired by dishes they grew up with. Diners can expect to taste sizzling vegetable stir fry, chicken and lamb curries, and tender beef rendang." - Ernest Owens

Every part of the meal exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend the satay skewers, the chili eggplant, the chicken and mushroom noodles (the noodles are hand made!), the grilled tilapia, the beef rib, and the the beef randang. Was really happy- everything was hot and really flavorful. The meats were very tender. I'm a big fan of Indonesian food and was not disappointed. The staff were also very kind and efficient. I'll be back very soon!

Went with good friend who is Indonesian (and born & raised in Indonesia). So she has super high expectations for real, good Indonesian food. This place was so good, it got her full stamp of approval 😁😉 The place is small, just a few tables. Not a fancy place by any means. But the staff were great. And the food was delicious!!! Prices were very reasonable. It is BYOB. We will definitely be back!

The service at this restaurant was awesome. We like the chicken skewers more than the beef skewers. The price is reasonable. Street parking wasn’t bad. There were some dishes we like more than others. I will definitely return for the chicken skewers and the dessert.

My family visited Philadelphia and stopped by this place for lunch. I ordered chicken satay with white rice, chicken curry with yellow rice, a chili eggplant dish, and nasi goreng. The satay and yellow rice taste amazing with authentic Indonesian flavor!!! The chicken curry is well-cooked, melting in my mouth. The nasi goreng tastes great, but the noodles are a bit broken. The eggplant dish was a bit disappointing as it lacked spiciness and flavor. Overall, most of the food is of high quality and reasonably priced!! Highly recommended!!

Three of us dined here for the first time. Their chicken satay was stunning; the sauce was rich, the portions generous, the meat tender, and the flavor authentically Indonesian. Their kerupuk was also delicious, savory, and crunchy. The chicken dish we ordered was not as expected, but you should definitely try their satay. We will certainly return to sample their lamb and pork satay. Excellent work.

We come here to dine in & try nasi ikan goreng & es campur. Taste very delicious but after half an hour we finish eating that food, we feel sick, my wife feels the head pain, dizziness, her stomach bloated & my ear is popped up also & feel want throw up. We don't know what the ingredient in the food that makes us feel sick. 2 weeks ago, we tried satay chicken & bakmi ayam to go. After we ate, we felt the same thing also. That is it. We think we are allergic to their food. So we make decisions, we will not come back to this restaurant anymore. We know you are offering this food to attract Western people to try your food, Indonesian food, but not for us. Thank you for your service, ms. Odessa from Bogor, ms. Bella from Kendari, & a lady from Medan. By the way, this restaurant offers 15% off if you dine in, you can find it on Instagram.
