This review is about sustainability only!
I am grateful for your reusable, for-here cup and mug options. But I wonder if there are ways that you can make them more readily available and known to customers who may not think to ask for them, even when they are dining in or working from this location!
It seems upon observation that most customers here do not know to ask for your mugs and glasses. And end up instead, using throw away single use plastics that will ultimately end up in landfills, the ocean, incinerators, and in our bodies as micro plastics.
Perhaps by encouraging staff, to always assume reusable first, then single use plastic after only when asked. Or staff can ask, explicitly, will you be enjoying your coffee here? Then we will put it in a reusable mug.
We all must be working to make the plastic waste crisis visible to all, and therefore approachable to all. And it starts with awesome shops like this leveraging their power to support customers in treating this environment better.
By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Help us help our ecosystems by educating customers in a welcoming and empowering way. There is no reason to create plastic waste for a meal eaten on site!
Thank you for considering, and again, I so appreciate this gorgeous space, the incredibly kind staff, and the ambience you have created. With fewer single use plastics, this place would be an immediate five stars.
