I have many fun stories associated with Sauce, as I have been coming here on and off for more than a decade. My favorite story is when my wife hosted a birthday party for me when Sauce first opened and invited a small group of friends for dinner. We ate everything we could and loved every bite. Since we were sharing everything, we all got to taste almost everything, but I still had room. When the server asked us if we wanted dessert, I said I needed "one more thing" but that I would let her choose what I was served so long as it wasn't dessert. She knew exactly what to do. A glass of wine later, a procession of people came walking across the restaurant, one holding a cutting board, one stirring a pot, another stirring another pot, and a guy with a huge block of parmesan. The cutting board went down first, then the polenta, followed by the fresh tomato ragu, which was poured across the middle, and finally, the guy with the cheese grated the fresh parmesan across the whole thing. It was the best birthday cake I have ever eaten. I later learned it's called The Plank, and I order it all the time; you should, too. The pizza was great, the cocktails were fantastic, and the service was excellent. All in all, it's a great place.

Great art deco, NY vibe with a touch of rustic coziness. Warm cookies at rooftop Mushroom pizza Lasagna Bolognese Chicken Parmesan Salmon We had a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed their entree selections. Staff was friendly and attentive. Seating was a bit awkward as 5 persons on bench across from 5 in chairs. Difficult for bench people in middle to exit.

The restaurant is dope with lots going on, excellent music and comfortable seating. Great for large groups and celebrations, definitely something to be noted as that’s hard to find in Manhattan without breaking the bank. Service was awesome, never felt like we were rushed to finish or give up the table. Drinks came quick and food was sizzling hot. Food, food was great, was more comfort/family style Italian. The thin crust pizza was good but just felt too thin, almost a little cheap thin. Go in on Tuesdays for an all day happy hour as well. I think for the price and being in Manhattan this is a great find.

Pizza Crawl 2024 Stop #13 For our 10-year anniversary we are stopping in Chicago, Detroit, NYC, and New Haven, CT This was by far the thinnest crust pizza we had on this whole trip, but it didn’t taste like a cracker. The sauce was really good! We had the cheese pizza. Because it is so light, you could eat a ton. That being said, it wasn’t very filling, and it’s expensive, so we didn’t order appetizers. All in all, great pizza and great service. We sat at the bar as there were no tables available.

New York has hundreds of Italian restaurants claiming to be the best, but this place can take all the bragging rights! Meatballs are tender and delicious and can be served in either traditional Mariana or vodka sauce. The double garlic bread was absolutely delicious, super cheesy and full of garlic! The Sunday gravy with home made rigatoni and meatballs tasted just like some ones grandma made them! But the chicken parm stole my heart with saucy spaghetti. To end it all the ricotta doughnuts were the most perfect sweet !

We stumbled into this place looking for pasta and this place looked cute. There was no wait on a tuesday evening. And then, we walked in they were blasting hip hop - which was a fun surprise because it kind of has the interior decor of a old bnb. And then, our meals were so delicious and our portions were huge - the pan seared salmon was probably one of the best I've had!

Cool restaurant with a small bar to grab a pre dinner drink at. Make a reservation if you can. The food was great, and be prepared for garlic. Stick with the classic dishes. The steak was our least favorite of them all.

This is probably one of the most classic nyc italian diner vibe type of restaurants. The music was good and not too loud so we could converse and the aesthetic was cute. staff was incredibly friendly i was almost 10 minutes earlier than my friends and they let me sit at the table we ordered a bunch of things to share and the food was actually pretty good! and portions were generous. the upside down pizza we got with cauliflower crust which was good - even the cauliflower crust shockingly the spicy sausage pasta also hit! with crushed red peppers was cooked well and had tons of flavor plus the bolognese- sauce does pastas super well last the Caesar salad - nothing special but definitely a good caesar. 10/10 recommend and would come back

Stopped here for a late reservation on a Friday night after the Yankee game. We had bounced around ideas for an Italian place to eat, and settled on this place as it carried all the main building blocks of dishes I seek out: cacio de Pepe, parm, burrata, carbonara. We were sat immediately and even with a reservation we didn't need one. We ordered burrata to start things off - which was very good. The crostini wasn't the most - only 4 pieces, but the cheese was great and the tomatoes and basil was on-point. For an entree I went with the cacio de pepe. The noodles were al dente and the sauce was really really good. I also decided to add a pepperoni pizza for us to try and share. Issue? It never came. It wasn't on the bill so that was good, but bc of ordering it I didn't ask for bread. We kept getting table-touched by a couple guys who I assumed were kitchen staff. Almost like a polite nudge despite having an hour before they officially closed. Odd. We skipped dessert and went down the street elsewhere. Food won the day - our waitress was very nice, but the other variables kept this from being a full 5 star.

While the menu lacked dessert variety, we forgave this oversight because the rest of the experience was exceptional. The forgotten pizza, though regrettable, didn't dampen our spirits. It looked tantalizing, and we vowed to return for it next time. Sauce isn't just about food; it's an Instagram-worthy spot. The jumbo-sized burrata, paired with sun-ripened tomatoes, was a visual and gastronomic delight. And the neighborhood? Cool, hip, and brimming with character. So, if you're seeking a lively atmosphere, attentive service, and memorable flavors, Sauce is your go-to. Just don't forget to order the meatballs--they're the cherry on top of an already delightful experience!

The food was OK. The service was fine. The environment seemed dark. In a city full of Italian restaurants, I'd take my chances elsewhere.

Reservations for girls night dinner at 8pm on a Friday. Was seated right away. Drinks were delish. Ordered the Garlic Pecorino Bread--it was ehhh. Not a fan of it, but I've def had better. Entrees were all delicious. Fave was the sausage with rigatoni. Ambiance is ok. Chairs were a bit uncomfortable, it was also very hot inside. It was def a humid night, however they keep the side door open which was letting out all the cold air. Service was great.

Do not come here The place smells. We should've left after taking the first whiff of the dirty mop bucket smell but it was late and not many places open late on a Monday. Ordered the garlic bread to start, it was offensive. First it's 8 dollars for a tiny slice and the taste was even worse. It left a horrible after taste. I ordered the gnocchi, wasn't bad! The truffle really came through but way too creamy. Overall unhappy with my meal and service

Food was decent. The vodka pie was good (sauce has good flavor, crust was thin and crispy and yet also chewable), as was the truffle gnocchi. The tiramisu was a very good dessert, but the panna cotta had a bit too much of a gelatin/jello texture. Ambience is lively and loud.

Sauce is noisy fun. The menu executes the simple and the complex very well. Salads are fresh and expertly dressed. The double garlic bread is a keeper. Tagliatelle with pesto was perfect. Broccoli rabe was tender and not at all bitter. Razor thin crust vodka pie was excellent. The minestrone was fresh and vibrant. It's noisy and bustling but delicious. Professional service. Highly recommended!

I loved the ambiance at Sauce - great for a cozy winter evening. A little dim in a vibey way, interesting light fixtures, wood furniture. We started with the fried zucchini matchsticks which were so good! I also was bowled over by how good the vodka pie was. I wasn't that excited before dining just looking at pictures of it on yelp, as it didn't look cheesy enough, but trust me - it was. I think there's a layer under the sauce. Service was quite speedy, we were well attended to and when I accidentally spilled a drink they handled it so quickly it was as if it hadn't happened.

Yo! Sauce! After several weeks of nothing available, we booked a reservation this evening through OpenTable, but arrived to find your doors locked, the lights out, all the fixtures down from the walls with what looked like auction stickers on them, the bar awry, the tables stacked. The phone number is out of service. There's no indication on your door, phone, website or Google Maps to say whether this is temporary or permanent. A $40 cab ride and a last minute search for a different place for dinner later I saw your note on your Instagram profile. You may want to note your closing in a few more prominent places...and you may want to start with OpenTable, where right now you could still book a 9:30 p.m. table for tonight. Have always loved your food, your sauces, your sausage, your garlic bread, your polenta. Since you reopened, and with new management, it's been a little less great. (Someone please tell me why you banned cola from your beverage list.) But we've still been back. Tonight, stumbling on your closed doors reminded me of how we first found out about your fire, which was heartbreaking. This time it feels more like you skipped out on the rent. I hope it's not true, and I hope you do come back.

Beautiful ambiance and whoever was on the aux was playing hit after hit, I shazamed everything. The place is warm and cozy and has beautiful mirrors and other decorations. I really enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe, and their cauliflower crust is randomly really good. My friend got the Vodka sauce pizza with cauliflower crust and it was amazing (gluten free). It is definitely pricy which is a common theme in LES, but will definitely be going back!

It took a little bit of time, but I finally got out to the Lower East Side to try this well-known restaurant. If it has Sauce in the name, then it must be known to try the food with said sauce. I gathered some Intel before coming here to try and get an idea of what I was getting myself into, and $70 later (three items worth), I have an idea. The calamari is splendid. Whether you want to share it, or have a hungry person eat it solo, it works well. It is not dense, or undercooked, rather it is cooked almost perfectly. I enjoyed eating this. The Italian sausages are nothing to write home about. You get one of each, one that is mild and one that is spicy. Neither one had me jumping for joy. Instead, I felt frustrated that these things are expensive, for anybody's standards. Then came my entree, the rigatoni with meatballs. The rigatoni is slightly overcooked, and you only get two meatballs, even though they are good, two meatballs is two meatballs. It is not a generous portion of food, but I need more than two meatballs to feel satisfied. How about that sauce? Well, how about it? It actually is a good sauce, comparing to Paulie's sauce from, "Goodfellas" would be putting it too highly, but to say it is cheap tomato paste would be putting it down. It works well with any dish because it is not an overly heavy sauce. Some sauces are rich and heavy, but this one is light and subdued, only coming out when you really lather it on. By the time I left the restaurant, between the sauce and the lighting, I was seeing red. There is no free bread here. I will deduct points for that. Put some free bread with the sauce on the table and customers will never want to leave. The profane early 2000's hip hop music also blared the whole time. After a while it got old, proving that this is not a family restaurant. Nonna would not be happy with that, despite the tasty sauce Nonna creates here. I guess the red lighting could be done away with too. It was highly uncomfortable. Despite all the negativity, I am giving it four stars simply because the sauce lives up to the name of the restaurant, and in the end, that is all that matters.

The food was literally amazing in terms of pizza. We got the sausage pizza and it was so good the carbonara was okay. The Caesar salad was so good! The service pissed me off. We had probably 5 different servers asking us if we needed something consistently asking us the same question. I think we repeated our answers 3 different times to different people, on MULTIPLE occasions- that said I understand the way restaurants run nowadays with no assigned sections but this was a complete lack of communication and honestly just really annoying

This is my second time and I've had a beautiful experience each time. Everyone is so pleasant and kind, and the food is amazing. I get why the name is Sauce, the sauce in every item is beautifully seasoned and taste amazing. We had the vodka pizza, Caesar salad, garlic bread, chicken parm, and ricotta donuts and everything was 10/10. I would order everything again.

Sauce is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. I have been around to many various restaurants of different types, but Sauce is above all because of the total package it provides: 1. The pizza is some of the best in the city and the paper-thin crust gives the pizza a unique texture that is unmatched. I always order the Vodka pie and the White pie with hot honey, a combo that is truly unmatched 2. The vibes in there are some of the best I've ever had at a sit-down restaurant. The music is on point and the attitude of the servers is incredible. Every time I've been to Sauce, I've been impressed by the quality of the service Every time I have a guest in the city, I make sure Sauce is on our list. Come and you will not be disappointed.

If you need a late night spot to grab some pizza, this is the spot! They serve super thin crust pizza if that's your style. The service was quick and the pizza was delicious! They have some seating inside, but this is really a grab and go spot. Keep in mind this isn't a $1 pizza joint, but totally worth it after a few drinks.

I can't speak on the food because we didn't get any, but I was wow'd by the incredibly kind and patient staff as well as the delicious cocktails. Looooved the mezcal cocktail and our waiter was so accommodating. I was unsure about how sweet it would be and he made a note to the bartender. When he handed it to me, he said I could always exchange the drink if I decided I didn't like it. Me and my friend had a wonderful time catching up here :)

Great atmosphere with perfect music for me (rap music) and decorations. The pizza was phenomenal. If you're fan of more of a thin crust pizza, with lots of sauce (amazing) then this is your place. Crust is thin, crispy, and wood fired. Dave Portnoy rated this pizza an 8.3, I rate it a 9.5. Amazing!!! A must try.

Place looks nice but the staff rushed us to leave. After asking if they were closing the waiter says we still have like 20min. Then proceeded to rush us. The restaurant starts blasting bad hip hop and the waiter raps along loudly with some lyrics like "I'm gonna slam that p:()?$sy up". I'm on a date so this isn't exactly setting the mood for a nice convo. Then while rapping he takes off his shirt and goes outside. Are we being served by a homeless crackhead? What's going on here? 4 glasses of bad wine for 80$. I still tipped 20% and got bad vibes. I'm ok with quietly singing along with your fav song or rap lyric but loudly only on the offensive parts then talking off your shirt in the restaurant is just weird. Creepy staff and overpriced place.

5 stars for the place, inside and out. Between the full restaurant and the pizza olace extension next to it, it's a whole block plus corner, on Rivington. And inside it's homey and charming and plain comfortable, with its big square bar. The food is solid 4 1/2, w some 5's (the meatballs and their bolognese). Good wine list. And appealing creative cocktails, including non-alcohol choices. Excellent very friendly service, especially the young singing waiter, doing all the lyrics of every song on the playlist. I really like this place! Despite the new-trendy location, it's better than just hip.

We decided to try sauce because of everyone raving about it but we didn't find it to be amazing. We had the double garlic bread for appetizer which was way too overwhelming. They do not have any regular soft drinks which was a disappointment for us since we had children with us. Food wasn't what we expected. We did not Try the pizza maybe the pizza is better. Now customer service was amazing. The workers are great and they are what make the place.

Our server was amazing the whole night! He would check in with us regularly, and followed up w everything. I wasn't super hungry so i just ordered the calamari as my entree and it was perfectly crispy, not oily or heavy at all and the marinara sauce that it came with was hot and fresh too! The vibes here are immaculate if you're into 90's hip hop/r&b. I will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere if you are craving Italian food on Friday or Saturday night. Good music , very unique, and fun decoration. Service was good and the food was great! We ordered the Gnocchi con Crema Al Tartuffo and the Chicken Parmiggiana. Definitely recommend the Gnocchis, very creamy and tasty! The chicken Parm was very good but the Spaghettis were average and a little over cooked. The drinks were a little disappointing I would come back!!

Tip: Go at odd lunch hours to avoid the rush! The truffle gnocchi and vodka pie were both their most popular dishes and upon first bite of both it was super clear why! The truffle gnocchi is the most decadent and melt in your mouth pasta Ive had. The vodka pie was a solid effort and everything you want in a thin crust pizza!

The place has a great vibe, loved the interiors and seating space. There were very few people on a weekday night. We got the table immediately. I had heard a lot about their pizza so ordered the vodka and upside down pie. The service was quick and we got our pizzas very soon which was great. The slices are so so thin which is cool but the sauce lacked flavor. The vodka one was too salty and barely had any other taste. The other upside down slice was filled with oregano, it was a lot. Super disappointed with the pizzas there.

Great place to go with friends - crowd is late 20s/early 30s. Very laid back atmosphere with fun music and the service is great. Pizza is paper thin - we got the vodka and upside down. Highly recommend both! Upside down is very oregano forward in a good way, never really need to top these pizzas with anything. Drinks are okay, nothing special. Dessert is three stars, doesn't match the quality of the food.

My husband and I wanted to have dinner here on a Friday night since it's my birthday. We didn't have reservation but we came at off peak time around 5:30. There was only one couple there sitting at a big table. The person at the front told us that they can give us a table but they "need it back by 7". We asked to sit outside and waited there for 10 minutes and no one came to take our orders, just water. Then we went inside hoping to get better service and asked for a bigger table like the other couple that was sitting there and the server said "we can do that but we need it by 6:30". I get that you are preparing for a rush but how about take care of the clients you have currently here now versus whoever might come later. We just took our stuff and left and went elsewhere.

I decided to try Sauce based on David Portnoy's review of how great the pizza is. Dining at this restaurant felt like living in an 80 square foot studio, because the table was just a small plank. If you're fat or claustrophobic, this place is not for you. Everything is super cramped, dark and you're bumping into stuff here and there. The pizza was just ok. It was overly salty, the crust was thin but I must say I've had better thin crust pizza elsewhere. You're definitely not getting your money's worth for $30 a pie, and not a large one at that. I felt like a tourist in NYC getting ripped off. When I went to the restaurant, there were only two tables of diners, and now I know why.

A wonderful stop for New York style pizza or traditional Italian. The food speaks for itself everything was so delicious! We ordered the Vodka pizza and a cheese pizza along with the meatball appetizer and garlic bread. You seriously can't go wrong. The drinks were also great! We all loved the red sangria. The wait staff was friendly and super accommodating for our group of 7! Definitely hope to come back the next time I'm in the city.

Cheese Pizza. GOOD. Balanced Cheese and Tomato Sauce flavors with a GOOD stable Crust. Better Pizza than ZAZZY'S which is about 2 blocks away even though that's GOOD Pizza. SAUCE is another Pizzeria that delivers a fine Slice. RECOMMEND.

Sauce is certainly the operative word here. There's no cheese on the cheese pizza. We spent $30 on an inedible tomato wheel. Serves me right for going to some NYU crap instead of a real pizza place, smh

It's been many years since my last visit here buy it is just as good as I remembered. The Vodka pizza was great. The crust is very thin so you can share a pie as an appetizer and not be over stuffed. We also had the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. It was amazing. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great. When you walk in you are overwhelmed by the amazing smell of Sauce! Also, highly recommended the Tiramisu which is large enough for two.

I've been here a couple times & they never disappoint! Allegra makes the best drinks ever! I had my first Aperol Spritz here and now its my go-to drink when I come to this spot. I definitely recommend the Burrata w/ a slice of garlic bread! The vodka pizza is to die for. I know I can always play it safe w/ the grandma's tomato gravy. The ambiance is 5/5 as well as the service. Will I be returning soon? Yes

A friend told me Sauce is his favorite Italian in the city so of course I had to try. A group of my friends and I stopped by after a long day of wandering through the city. Although there were no reservations online, the host was able to accommodate the 4 of us and seat us in one of the nice outdoor eating booths. Usually I'm a pasta person at Italian restaurants but the summer Salmon with pesto quinoa & veggies caught my eye. It was amazinggg- probably the best quinoa I've ever had. My friends all ordered the chicken parm with zucchini noodles and scarfed that thang down, they said it was so good. I was shocked and impressed to see zucchini noodles being offered at an Italian restaurant. It's nice to know there's that healthier, low carb option available to order. The interior is dimly lit and nicely decorated with framed pictures and neon lights. Overall this place has a cool vibe with great food. I'd come back.

Another solid pizza joint/restaurant that serves by the pie. Fan favorites at this thin slice style establishment are the vodka pie and white pie (which has a hot honey drizzle on the side - amazing). Pretty sweet spot for both small and large groups.

This place was a spontaneous dinner date. I wish I took pics of the outside seating because it was very nicely decorated! Walked in and the front seating area was empty, the waitress walked us to the back and there were some diners so we felt at ease. Music was on point 90's- early 2000s hits (R&B & hip hop) We started with the double garlic bread - it was ok, dry, def not greasy but I didn't feel that "double garlic" For entrees I had the cacio Pepe - this was ok. Very very heavy on the black pepper so it wasn't my favorite and it felt a little heavy My boyfriend has the grass fed beef bolognese with sausage on the side. He said it was good and very much filling. The sausage came 1 sweet Italian and 1 spicy. Sangria was okay, a little bitter and I had a glass of red Restrooms gender neutral and very clean

One of my favorite pizza spots in the city! The crust is super thin which really lets the cheese and sauce shine. I really liked the rose I ordered with dinner as well as the calamari.

Loved Sauce! We got their vodka pie (can't find pic) and their calamari. Really tasty on both fronts! Their pizza had cheese both under and on top of the sauce for extra goodness. Also the service was top notch, attentive, and ensured we had a good time. Already have been back again! Second time was just as good!

Pretty popular pizza place that had nice service + clearly used quality ingredients. They were fairly open for a late lunch on Sunday and we ordered the Vodka pie and the truffle gnocchi. The vodka slice was quite good and the thin crust made it easy to eat and not feel overwhelmed. It isn't the best vodka slice I've had in the city (Prince st is def better), but it lives up. The pasta was a bit too much for me - the truffle flavor was just so strong that I had to quit after eating only a few bites. I wouldn't order that again, but could see myself back here for the pizza.

I love this place! They recently changed creative direction - new logo, ambiance, vibe, etc. The old Sauce was great but now it's even better. Large outdoor seating area which is amazing for summer. The drinks were great and food was amazing. But the staff was the best part. Service was impeccable from the start to finish. Thank you!

A pretty good Italian place! I may not have the best point of view since pizza seems to be the main attraction here and I got the garlic and oil pasta, which I still thought was good. This place really fills up for later dinners so plan ahead. I started with an espresso martini and no complaints there. I get this is New York, but I still get somewhat deflated when I go to an Italian restaurant and there's no free bread. I was between two pasta dishes but the server was overjoyed about the garlic and oil one, despite me being afraid it would be a bit plain. It honestly was, but that's the nature of the dish so no one's fault. The rest of my party got pizza and it looked and smelled insanely good. Struggles of being dairy-free! The prices aren't too bad especially for the nice location and interior. Service is top notch and friendly as well!

Definitely go here for the slices and skip the sit down restaurant. Service was quite slow and chaotic, which I'll attribute to them being understaffed with a bustling outdoor scene. We also had an issue with special advertised online-- and waitress was unbelievably rude about it. Slices are good but on the more expensive side. Skip the Al Pastor pizza--was dry and seemed like it was sitting there for hours. Vodka pizza is great.

"Meh" I saw good reviews here and also heard this was a nice comfort Italian and pizza. Sadly, I wasn't overwhelmed. But of course, this is NYC and my pizza standards are high. What's to cheer - Inventive slices - Nice employees - Classic pizza and Italian. - Well prepared food What's to jeer - The crust could be better - Pizza could be cooked a bit more.

Great selection of food - can't go wrong with pizza or pasta. They have happy hour Monday - Friday from 5-7! Caico Pepe could've been more peppery as it was pretty cheesy but still pretty good. Server at the end got busy so it took a while to get the check.

My group of 6 and I had a reservation on a busy Thursday night. We started with 3 pies. The Upside Down Pizza, the White Pizza, and the Vodka Pizza. The Upside Down and the White Pizza came out together, but then we waited around 20 minutes for the Vodka Pizza, even after flagging down the server and staff 2-3 times. We ordered 6 pastas as well, 4 of which came out together, and the last 2 came out around 15 minutes later. Since we had eaten some pizza already, we just took the pasta home, because the rest of the party had eaten already. I ordered the Orecchiette Con Broccoli Rapa with a side of Meatballs. The pasta was pretty oily, and I couldn't bring myself to finish it all. The meatballs were a bit on the tougher/firmer side. The pizza was delicious, and probably I'd go back for this alone. The outside seating area seemed to just be short staffed, because I only saw 1 server for all of the tables outside. I'd like to do an updated review when I come back, because I think for my 1st experience, it was moreso based on the service.

It's such a cute spot to go on a date with your partner or friends. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered an aperol spritz during happy hour and it was a surprisingly big cup of deliciousness. If you love gnocchi and black truffle, I HIGHLY recommend getting the black truffle gnocchi. It was absolutely divine. I was too stuffed to order dessert, but next time I come back, I'm getting a plate of tiramisu.

I had a really great dinner at Sauce last night. Checked my Resy and they had reservations in like 5 minutes and I was 5 minutes away in between drinks and a movie that started in 40 minutes so I walked right in. They asked if we had reservations but it was pretty empty. They had 3 free tables, a totally empty bar and a party of 8 when you first walked in. Then around the bend they had maybe 4 other parties in the small very cool looking space decked out with mirrors, neon lights and very ornate light fixtures from a beautiful period that I cannot coin. They are really pretty and it's a little dark in there. The plates on the tables were very pretty as well. I ordered Passata Pomodoro E Basilica and my friend got the chicken park with zucchini noodles. I also ordered calamari which I never got Im assuming they waiter couldn't hear me over the loud music. No big deal we were kind of in a rush but I like anticipated it coming out the whole time but our food came to the table in about 5-8 minutes after ordering which made me happy. The serving size was perfect I hate to waste food and the chicken parm almost made me say why didn't I order that. But I love spaghetti and mine was PERFECT. They gave me some cheese on the side. The zucchini noodles were good according to my friend. The chicken was chefs kiss! We also ordered the lemon ricotta donuts to go. I loved them. Dense, sweet, light sauce. The one thing that happened that could have gone left is that I BMOB. I just so happened to be in between spots and was gifted a small bottle of champagne. I set it in the table when we got in and after the server made 3 consecutive heart eyes pointing at the bottle I was like hey let's crack this thang open. I asked for a glass and this is the point where the server should have said something. But he brought the glass and 3 minutes later the hostess or whoever came really close to me to tell me I had to pay extra and I was all mouth full couldn't even respond and slightly embarrassed. But I mean I get it. I just felt like the delivery happened at an awkward time and it's not that big or a deal I could pay or drink it later. I chose the later. Anyway I'm glad I got in despite some small things and I was thrilled that it wasn't to crazy and we got a table right away and the food and then left. Short but sweet trip for some AMAZING Italian food. I go to lil Frankie's often and I believe it's part of the set Sauce, Lil Frankie's and idk they last one but definitely great vibes, ambiance, and food. The tables are tiny and if you are as lucky as me to find parking well geesh you might as well play lotto.
