Sauced in Williamsburg is the ultimate wine bar hangout, where you can enjoy a casual vibe, eclectic natural wines, and fun garden seating—perfect for flirty dates!
"Sauced isn’t one of those wine bars where you’ll only see first dates and couples trying to keep the magic alive with pinot grigio. This cozy, brick-lined Williamsburg spot feels like a neighborhood bar that just happens to specialize in wine. There’s no physical wine list, but the bartender will help you pick from whatever they’re pouring that day. If the weather’s nice, take your drinks to the backyard." - bryan kim
"If Champagne guns shooting $70-plus wine into your mouth underneath a disco ball sounds like your thing, then Sauced could be your nighttime move. The wine list here lacks pretension often synonymous with wine culture in the city, but that doesn’t come at the cost of a compelling natural wine list that can back up the flirty fun of being here." - Eater Staff, Melissa McCart
"You know that feeling of finally making a friend with a killer backyard? Possibly one with plants and twinkle lights and a disco ball? Well, if you have no such friend (or if they’ve banned you from coming over three times a week), you can get that feeling in the backyard at Sauced in Williamsburg. Bring someone who loves wines that taste like kombucha, macramé chairs hanging from trees, and getting a little wild." - neha talreja, bryan kim, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick
"If Champagne guns shooting $70-plus wine into your mouth underneath a disco ball sounds like your thing, then Sauced could be your nighttime move. This Williamsburg wine bar opened in January 2020 and really hit its stride later in the pandemic, now as one of the area’s most essential party spots. The wine list here lacks pretension often synonymous with wine culture in the city, but that doesn’t come at the cost of a well-curated natural wine list that can back up the flirty fun of being here." - Eater Staff
"At Sauced, an East Village natural wine bar that started in Williamsburg, you don’t get a menu. Instead, your server asks you about your mood and what you generally drink. And if you like a bar filled with people who caption Instagram posts with “aesthetic AF” and describe their taste in music as “vibey,” you’ll probably be in a good mood. Start in the front, grab some snacks (they often host pop-ups, so check their Instagram), and sip on something funky. When you start to feel the additive-free buzz, head towards the back, which has red neon lights, a DJ booth, and a small room with a vertical, weight-bearing pole in it. If you want to avoid crowds, come early, or prepare to lightly nudge your way to the bar. photo credit: Sauced" - Will Hartman
