Where to Eat in Brooklyn

"A Greenpoint project from the Maison Premiere team that evokes a grand European café with a French walnut bar, brass fixtures and art‑nouveau details; chef Lisa Giffen presents bold continental plates like pot‑au‑feu and pig’s head confit to pair with a thoughtful selection of natural wines, while an exceptional cocktail list by Will Elliott complements the program." - Food & Wine Editors

Sauvage is an absolute gem and easily a five-star experience. Tucked away from the most touristy parts of Saint-Germain, it feels like a place locals actually go for real food made with care. Every dish we had was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor – you can tell they’re working with high-quality ingredients and a chef who really cares about what’s on the plate. The wine selection is outstanding, with thoughtful pairings and staff who genuinely know their bottles. Speaking of staff: they’re incredibly warm, attentive, and clearly proud of the restaurant. The whole place has this buoyant, lively atmosphere that makes you want to linger over one more glass. If you’re looking for a spot in Paris with amazing food, great wine, real hospitality, and a local vibe, Sauvage is a must. Five stars, without hesitation.

We had a nice lunch here. Food is a slightly modern and interesting twist on classics. Lots of fresh produce! I couldn't resist the rabbit liver with salad and beets. Great combination.

Had a wonderful lunch with service provided by gentlemen who previously worked in Turkey. Am so sorry i didn’t get your wonderful name. His service was top notch and explained the menu to us very patiently being non-native from Singapore. Thank you for a memorable lunch!

Food is reasonable value for money, quality not super fancy Service slow and erratic ; have to repeat many times before getting attention The lemon tart dessert in picture is really surprising A lemon curd that dis not set, laying all over the plate ; waiter did not seem to realise that the dish was probably not supposed to look like this , and just deliver

came for lunch. it was just me dining and they managed to get a table for me immediately which was very great. i ordered off their 3 plates for €38. i was originally served the wrong wine, not the red i ordered, but my starter had shellfish so i didn't mind the mix up. the wine was very good. each dish was served beautifully, and the presentation wasn't the only good part of the food as the flavours of each plate were incredibly delicate and intricate, yet simple enough that they always worked very well together. my appetizer was confit leeks from their garden with cockles, seaweed jelly, and bergamot lime. between plates they would exchange my used utensils with new ones which i appreciated. the whole team was quite attentive. for my main i got confit lamb shoulder, orange-braised endives, rutabaga purée, and spinach. it really was was such a beautiful course. their bread made in house made as a great vehicle to sop up any of the leftover lamb jus on the plate. finally, my dessert, which was a pear and almond tart with a tonka bean ice cream. with my bill they gave me two peanut brittle-type treats, complimentary. it was a great meal start to finish. the only downfall was that the still water cost €5. would definitely come back and exclusively order wine! if you're hoping to grab a table, definitely go the mile and make the reservation. sauvage is a beautiful restaurant that appreciates the taste and visual appeal of good ingredients.

A nice relaxing restaurant. The food yummy and the staff kind and helpful. I wouldn't suggest to take kids there as the food might not be to children's taste.
