Best Pizza in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Open For: Lunch and Dinner Price Range: $ - $$ With four locations, guests of Savage Pizza visit for the comic book-infused atmosphere, but stay for the from-scratch pizzas. Try the vegetable-laden Sav-Veg, topped with mozzarella and parmesan, or the Cajun with spicy red pepper sauce, chicken, shrimp, andouille, red onions, and three kinds of cheese. Best For: Comic book-themed decor, and specialty pizzas piled high with toppings" - Eater Staff

The Best Places To Eat In Little Five Points - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Savage Pizza is the best pizza spot in this neighborhood. Hands down. We’re not entirely sure why the extremely casual interior is splattered with posters and figurines of Marvel superheroes, but we will gladly stare at The Hulk to get our hands on pizza this good. Don’t worry about making the wrong choice since we’ll cape for any of the menu choices (but the No-Brainer with veggies, sausage, and pepperoni is what the name says it is). Their thick crust easily holds a heavy heap of toppings, so you never get the feeling you’re just eating a mouthful of bread. Going to Savage and not ordering pizza is like being in Atlanta and ordering Pepsi, but if you must, their subs (like the Italian) are a good substitute." - juli horsford

This is a great restaurant to enjoy whether you’re alone or with friends and family. There were several options for pizzas to choose from! They also have a variety of wings and pastas! They also have trivia on Wednesdays! Definitely will be going back!

Savage Pizza in Norcross has a really cool vibe. The atmosphere is artsy, laid-back, and welcoming—definitely a place you’d want to hang out with friends or take someone new. The staff were friendly and the service was on point, which really added to the overall experience. As for the pizza, it was decent, but I was hoping for a bit more in terms of flavor. The ingredients seemed fresh, but the seasoning and overall taste didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It’s not bad, just a little underwhelming given how awesome the place looks and feels.

Love the chill vibes here. This was my 2nd time visiting this place. The 1st time was when I ordered a calzone and was huge (and delicious)🤟🏾💖. 2nd time was during trivia night & Wing Wednesday was the bomb, love how nice and crispy they are. Nisi, one of the staff, is such a sweetheart; cool, nice, down-to-earth and she hooked up my order with whatever I needed. 😎🫶🏾I totally would come back next time I'm in town.

Came here because I use to come to the old spot that was here. That was great pizza. I wasn’t leaving without trying this place. The atmosphere is completely different than before. The menu is different. It’s a fun environment. Very laid back. Free video games to play. Now to the pizza. This pizza is spectacular. I enjoyed all of it. Domonique was my waitress. She was very knowledgeable of the new food. She was very helpful helping me decide what to get. I’m totally impressed with this place. I’ll definitely come back when I come back to town. Keep up the good work!

As a regular of the Avondale Estates location, I’m so happy that there is a location closer to home! The pizza is everything you expect from Savage Pizza and they have WINGS! These lemon pepper wings were soooo juicy and crispy and seasoned to perfection. We got our regular Pizza Buttafuco and I’m still in love with the sausage under the cheese and they never skimp on the toppings. Of course it has the comic book ambience like other locations but with comfy indoor seating. Give this place a try and become a regular like me!

I went here with a group and our experience was AMAZING! The BREAD here is Theee best! So soft and salty/garlicky in the right ways. The pizza... everyone LOVED! THERE WASNT A SLICE LEFT. I can not wait to go back.

We have been looking forward to visiting the new pizza restaurant in town. The food was great, we ordered wings, pizza, and breadsticks. The dessert was also great, we had the Oreo cheesecake. The atmosphere was very inviting, and we loved our server Dominique, as she gave us great recommendations. We look forward to dining here again soon!

Finally got to check out downtown Norcross’s newest pizza spot. We came to check it out at its grand opening which was a huge turn out but a long wait for a table so we waited patiently to come back. The new space is really nice and vibrant with a neon Savage light, a lounge area, super hero themed art work and a few arcade games. We had Savage Steve as our waiter who recommended the Cajun and Mai Pai pizza. I took Steve’s recommendation & ordered the Cajun pizza and my husband got the Pizza Buttafucco (Meat lovers) pizza. The Cajun pizza tasted more like a veggie pizza at the base with some protein toppings. I think I would have enjoyed this pizza more if the shrimp was more seasoned liked the chicken and the entire pizza had a more Cajun spice to it. My husband was really satisfied with his meat lovers pizza. He said this spot is way better than the pizza spot that was there before. We also shared the garlic bread sticks which were really good! Their bread hits differently! We both had to force ourselves to stop eating the bread sticks to make room for our pizzas. We will definitely be back & I’m happy for my husband that there is a pizza spot downtown that he actually likes. Thanks Savage Steve for your great customer service during our first Savage Pizza experience.

Yelp
So a group of parents and kids spent the day at the Library for a magic show. We took a nice walk to Savage pizza and we were delightfully surprised. The place was cool. Our kids loved it. They were able to accommodate all 8 of us. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The kids crushed the cheese pizza and the adults had the Caesar salad and Hawaiian pizza. I'll be honest. It isn't my favorite type of pizza. I prefer a Neapolitan type of pizza. But if you like a mellow mushroom type of pizza this is your spot in historic downtown Norcross. Also they have video games! My son played TMNT and I played street fighter. Would I go again. Absolutely.

Yelp
I've been hearing a lot about Savage finally opening in downtown Norcross so I decided to hop over and give them a try. Since it was my first time visiting savage pizza in general, I decided to just get a large cheese pizza with pineapples - yes with pineapples. That's the only way to do it! But the pizza was pretty good and it was a decent price($19 for a 8 slices large pizza). Sadly I don't have any pictures of the pizza because I ate it before realizing I didn't take one it was so good! Also, I really like the set up of the restaurant. Extremely spacious and decked out with wallpaper of vintage comic book characters and mini arcade games. Now it did take longer than expected for me to receive my pizza after I ordered it, but if you're dining in or got time to kill, it's definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
New to the neighborhood, Savage pizza opened it's doors and the first time that I had it was a nice takeout. I think they got my order incorrect, but other than that everything went pretty smoothly. I ordered through the website, and it was ready when I got there. I ordered three pies. The "No Brainer", a normal pepperoni, and finally a "Pizza Fresca". They were all good. I thought they were pretty conservative on their toppings though on each pizza. The bottom wasn't soggy and it wasn't overly sauced where everything was falling off. That was appreciated. When I did go and pick up, I got to check out the decor inside the building. It was filled with arcade games and I would say it had a very "hip" vibe or like a good ol' arcade. I would say this could second as a hangout spot for kids if they wanted to check out before the day of the home console and had to go to an arcade to play games. Overall, Savage Pizza is a great place to go play games and also get a pie with family. I think it's a great addition to Norcross downtown and can see a lot of business go through this place during event days.

Yelp
This is a place worth visiting just for the interesting interior design. I have been to the original location of Savage Pizza about 15 years ago. The company has recently been expanding into other areas around Metro Atlanta while keeping and even enhancing their cool decor aesthetic. We tried out the place restaurant on a recent Tuesday for lunch. It was relatively slow at that time and we decide just to sit at the bar in the front of the restaurant. We enjoyed all of the interesting eye candy for sure. If you're a fan of the MCU you'll have a great time viewing the walls here. We both tried different sandwiches. There was a meatball sandwich as well as a eggplant Parmesan sandwich. The sandwich choices are served with potato chips. Both were filling however we felt that the Italian sauce had a predominant taste of garlic. It was like somebody when a little nutty with the garlic seasoning for the sauce. There is municipal parking in the area around the restaurant in downtown Norcross Georgia but you may have a brief walk depending on time a day and how busy all of the downtown restaurants are at that time.

Yelp
Not good. Pizza was burnt, not seasoned well, and had barely any chicken. But it actually all would've been fine if it wasn't charred...

Yelp
I won a $50 food and beverage credit from an Instagram giveaway. Never been here so wasn't sure what to expect. Thankfully, overall the experience was a good one. Service here was top notch...friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was casual and cool...arcade games, walls covered in comics and music had an old school vibe. I had never been to this part of the city and I have to say they really picked a great location in downtown Norcross. Plenty of parking, walkable and cute shops all around. As far as the the food- a couple of could've been better but overall it was pretty good. Not bad enough to send anything back though, just know better for next time not to get it. We got both the vegetable and beef lasagna (both came with bread and garden salad) as well as breadsticks and the Caesar Salad with added shrimp. The bread sticks with the marinara was DELICIOUS. The beef lasagna was really good but the veggie one was a bit dry in the middle. The cheese melt on both was really good though. The added shrimp on the Caesar salad was supposed to be "Cajun" according to the menu but wasn't seasoned at all but the dressing ratio was perfect.

Yelp
Savage Pizza is the BEST place for pizza and an "artful good time." If you're a comic nerd, this is the place for you! Upon entry you walk into their bar/video game/seating area. The neon lights above the bar are perfection. There are three classic video game options that guests can play, and the pillow designs perfectly encompass the whole places theme. There is the most beautiful mural that graces the front walls. The dining areas walls are covered in a comic book design. Tables are sturdy and seating is so comfortable. The staff is great, and seems to be willing to go above and beyond to give their guests a top-tier experience! The hubby and I ordered a bit of everything. Two mocktails, a Caesar salad, wings, and a build your own pizza. The food was (as expected).. so flavorful. Each item was presented beautifully. The croutons on the salad were huge - always my favorite part of any salad. The wings were great. We added 6 toppings to our build your own pizza, and you could taste each one without hesitation. I was beyond excited for this pizza place to open after trying it at L5P, and made sure I could be here for their GRAND OPENING! Can't wait to already come back next time!!

Yelp
I ordered the tomato basil pizza small (10 inch I believe). The pizza was definitely tasty and the price was great. It only cost around $10 which is a steal for a full-size pie from a non-chain restaurant. I got 2 meals out of the order. Service when I arrived to pick it up was great too, the waitress(es) that grabbed the order were very friendly! I would have given this 5 stars but I ordered extra sauce and it barely had any sauce on it. Overall, good place!

Yelp
My husband and I are always looking for good pizza with great atmosphere. We stumbled across Savage Pizza, food was amazing, we had the bread sticks, melt in your mouth good. I had the Greek salad, the romaine was super fresh. We had the "No Brainer" (Supreme) pizza. It was wonderful. I saved the best for last, our server; Danielle was an absolute gem, she made my husband and I feel so welcome, it was like being home with family. Thank you Danielle for loving on us while we were there, if I lived closer I would come in once a week to see you and eat good pizza. Im praying God watches over you and I pray our paths cross again.

Yelp
The absolute BEST pizza for miles and miles!! We visited Norcross on a Saturday (May 2025) and decided to satisfy our mutual craving for pizza. Savage Pizza is THE place for scrumptious pizza. I had the Mediterranean and my husband had a meat/pepperoni - we both hardly said a word other than yummmmmm as we devoured our choices. The crust was perfect - not too thick or heavy and a little chewy with the perfect balance to accommodate and enhance the ingredients. The toppings were fresh and plentiful without being over the top - you could taste all aspects - really soooo good!! The service was terrific too! Prices are very reasonable. It can get busy so be patient - it's worth the wait!! We sat outside where there is limited seating, and can also take in the passers-by and gentle hustle and bustle of Norcross. Cannot wait to get back for more - don't miss it!

Yelp
My family and I have been going to Savage Pizza in Little 5 Points for years. When we found out there was one closer in Norcross, we were so excited. My son requested Savage Pizza for his 12th birthday. So here we are with multiple preteen boys at a table, 3-4 large pizzas, and free arcade and board games. They had a blast! The service was quick. Multiple people stopped to check on us as they passed by. Our server was so kind and attentive! Everyone went the extra mile to make sure my son enjoyed his time with his friends for his birthday. I'm so happy this location opened. And right across from the park! We'll be regulars here, for sure!

Yelp
I've been to pizzerias and pizza shop, Italian or American. This spot holds its spot to the top of the list and my go-to for pizza. I've had their first location and since then now at their 4th location in Norcross. Everything is consistent and I love their pizza. This body I had the Cajun shrimp Caesar Salad and yes their new Jumbo Wings and they were both finger licking good. Check it out next time you are in the area, because I know I will be visiting frequently.

Charonne S.

Yelp
Disappointed. The food just is not good. It is subpar in comparison to what I am accustomed to at the other Savage locations. Frozen Pizza from the grocery store freezer is better than the pizza at this location. Don't even bother to order the overpriced wings...basically about $2 per wing... I ordered them with a flavor and they came with no flavor at all.....just bland. I'll wait several months before I return to see if they've gotten it together.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday and my daughter described the atmosphere accurately saying "... this is like Chucky Cheese...". Screaming kids running everywhere. I would also add another restaurant has come to town that has no respect for wine drinkers. How is it a restaurant thinks they need to offer Blatons but has nothing but the cheapest wine imaginable. It's pizza... come on people we would like a decent glass of wine. I guess it is fine for families with young kids but we won't be coming back. ... one more thing, the young women who waited on us was great. She deserved 4 or 5 stars.

Yelp
Super friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed the video games and board games while waiting for a table. Our favorites were the gluten free pizza, lemon pepper wings, and the salad was very fresh. Will definitely come back again!

Yelp
The pizza is not good. They used chunky spaghetti sauce.... And it tasted like I was eating spaghetti on pizza dough. Just not good.

Yelp
Savage Steve was an awesome waiter/very professional and attentive! The pizza was great and the cake was phenomenal! I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
We ate there tonight. It was our third visit! Tonight, I tried The Bolognese! It was amazing! Thanks to Fal and Dipul for coming to Norcross!!! Your staff Kayla, Danielle, Nick, and Steve(and all the rest) are wonderful! Can't wait to try the next pie!!!

Bret C.

Yelp
I live in the area. I would have to drive to Tucker or Sandy Springs for a good pie before Savage opened up. The best in the area no doubt (Norcross area). Not even close. Cool employees, service is good.

Jay G.

Yelp
I came down to Norcross for business for a week and wanted to try some local food spots having never been to this part of GA before. I can't recommend Savage pizza more highly! I got the Greek salad and pie, which was delicious, and finished off with a signature cocktail that "Pizza Nick" recommended. Seriously, he's killing it with the cocktails. Food aside, the aesthetic and vibe there is great. Old B-movies on the TVs, arcade games, great comic inspired decor as well. The thing that really made the meal for me was talking to Nick and Chelsea at the bar. They had an answer for all my questions, and plenty of jokes too! I have a few more days here and I'm planning on heading back to Savage pizza specifically because of those two. They made a work trip not feel so generic, plus the food is bomb!

Yelp
I ordered a large build your own pizza from them on Uber Ears the day before they opened. They were sweet and the ambience was awesome! It was the first time I've ever been to a Savage Pizza and can't wait to sit down and eat there!

Yelp
Great service with a very friendly staff. The pizza and wings were fantastic. A great find for this small town. If you love great pizza and wings, make it a point to check these folks out.

Yelp
Food is great. Dominique is a wonderful server. I would recommend this place. Kid friendly.

Yelp
Kayla was our server this time, and Danielle and Nick were our servers the last two times. They ALL went above and beyond to take care of us!!! Everyone is soooo personable!!! Every worker in the restaurant is actively helping the others!!! Excellent food!!! The WOW pizza is my favorite!!!

Troy L.

Yelp
Good pizza and excellent service from Marissa. Wide selection of pizzas in a historic neighborhood.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff, I would recommend this place if you love superhero's and arcade games/ kid friendly
