Pop-Up Saved by the Max Returns With Takeout Menu for the ‘90s Kids - Eater LA

"Nostalgia pop-up Saved by the Max is coming back to Los Angeles for another round, though this time the experience will be admittedly rather different. Previously, Saved by the Max had been an in-person trip meant to toss diners through the television screen and into the halls of Bayside High and onto the booths of the Max, the colorful ‘90s diner from the hit show Saved by the Bell. Now, from August 20 to 25, fans can line up (digitally) for what’s being called a Bayside Preppy Pack, which comes with a burger, tater tots, and a little bit of merch. There will be add-on items like loaded fries available, and fans can also order separate items branded to fit the show theme like a cocktail called the See Ya Slater. Pre-orders for the food go on sale tomorrow starting at 10 a.m. for those who want to get in on the action, and given the state of things these days, who wouldn’t like a little retro happiness in their life at the moment?" - Farley Elliott

Nancy Silverton Will Bake Bread Once Again for Iconic La Brea Bakery - Eater LA

"Saved by the Bell experiential restaurant Saved by the Max is wrapping up its residency in Los Angeles soon, so naturally they’re calling the last few months the “final semester.” Expect new menu items and decor changes, including a built replica of Zack’s room and a Malibu Sands beach bar. Tickets are on sale now." - Farley Elliott

Wow😀 my mind is blown. The food was impeccable, the decor was true to the original set, staff was very knowledgeable and to top it off they played the show on several televisions. It's a MUST SEE! Even if you can't get a reservation go am hour or two early and you'll get in.

A great blast from the past! I honestly felt like I was in Saved by the Bell for a minute! The food was also pretty darn good! I was quite impressed! The service was also fantastic!

Saved By The Bell was one of my favorite childhood shows. To visit The Max in real life was quite a treat. I'm glad they ended the pop up until December. This allowed my friends and I the opportunity to visit. Walks-ins are welcomed, and I recommend arriving before they open to get in line for a chance to dine. Service was great as was the atmosphere.

Very nostalgic. Fans of Saved By The Bell will really enjoy it. They recreated The Max just as it was on the television show. They also have things around the restaurant with nuggets from the show that will bring back memories. The staff was very friendly and the food was pretty good and filling.

Awesome experience! The environment certainly took me back to my childhood. I loved how the menu incorporated the characters, and everything inside reminded me of The Max from Saved by the Bell! Service was wonderful and the food was great! Highly recommend!

Google
It looks *exactly* like The Max, and, as an added bonus, the food is phenomenal!

Google
Lots of fun. Really well done decor to mimic the Saved by the Bell series from the early 90s. The food is above average quality, but not amazing. Worth coming here with other fans of the show.
