Came here after reading some nice reviews. And sure, the place is cute—inside and out. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. If you’re actually here for coffee, you can safely skip this spot; there are much better options nearby.
I ordered a café au lait that tasted suspiciously pre-made, as it arrived already very sweet. Normally, you’d expect the coffee and milk to be poured separately with sweetener on the side, but this one came fully mixed, leaving zero room to adjust. Not ideal if you actually care how your coffee tastes.
The ¥750 hot chocolate was impressive only in price. It came in a tiny paper cup despite dining in, where a mug would’ve been the bare minimum. The drink itself was lumpy and poorly mixed, and it didn’t seem like the milk was even whisked in properly (if any was used at all).
We also tried the pizza toast that some reviews raved about but it’s literally just bread, marinara sauce, and cheese. Which is fine—but let’s not pretend it’s anything more than that.
Honestly, I probably would’ve let the mediocre drinks slide if it weren’t for the ¥1,000 Sunday “music charge.” Music taste is subjective, but nothing about the set felt like it actually required a live DJ. It came off less like paying for entertainment and more like an unplanned charity contribution toward someone’s practice session, which made the fee feel unnecessary and very... ambitious.
That said, the girl who took our order was very nice, so I’ll give a star for that.
