ScandiKitchen Cafe & Shop - Fitzrovia

A great place for an open sandwich on delicious rye bread and at this time of year gloriously light and tasty semle buns. It can be busy but as I go late afternoon I usually get a table. If its not to busy it is possible to catch up on a bit of writing on my i-pad. I wouldn't try that if I was there at lunchtime.

I think I was hoping a little bit more. Went for breakfast so there wasn't a lot of options for sandwiches - they start serving options during lunch hours. And the cinnamon roll is dry. Its nice that they have a little shop downstairs!

Love this place for brunch and so many of my friends love the meatballs. It is unsurprisingly very busy so sometimes hard to get a seat but for good reason. And they’ve now got a nice wee shop down below. Love both their savoury and sweet dishes and staff are always very nice .

I felt very nostalgic as a Finnish person when visiting the Scandikitchen. I had an apple tart and mocha. However what made me feel so comfortable was the Finnish staff member and another Finnish lady who visited there at the same time. I also stocked up my favourite Finnish/Scandinavian products from their downstairs shop. Nice atmosphere. I will be going back :b

I used to come here before for some of the best cinnamon buns in town when my office was just around the corner. I came back yesterday to grab takeaway lunch with a colleague after a few years only to be amazed by the lunch options - plenty of hot and cold food options, which are affordable especially for their nutritional content, as well as many yummy pastries and other desserts. I got the open sandwich with marinated herring fish and beet, as well as some potato salad and beet salad (it's beet season, don't judge me 🤪); and for dessert I got the Danish milk chocolate drink. Big shout-out to Ameena (hope I got your name right and sorry if I didn't!) who offered really excellent customer service. 5/5 would recommend ScandiKitchen to anyone in the area. Reminded me of my trip in Copenhagen...

I liked the place outside, cozy street, but I think inside needs improvement as there wasn’t enough space to move at some point. Luckily the weather was good enough to sit on the lovely bench outside and to enjoy Scandinavian. I would suggest to visit early, as at 2 pm on Sunday they were already out of some menu positions. Downstairs there’s a small store where you can get anything you like. I definitely liked service and the taste of food. Probably will visit again.

I have been here many years before, when there was completely different layout to the whole shop. Now there is a seating in the back and a shop downstairs. I have not given this five stars, Due to quite an unfriendly set up as you walk into the shop. it is difficult to see all that is on offer through the glass and by looking at some of the food you’re at the front of the queue and in the way of other people and feel rushed. The staff are fine but you feel you are in their way by looking at the produce. Seating seems quite uncomfortable, with little stools here and there. There is a toilet downstairs which is very clean and good. I have given the food 1 star due to quite extortionate prices. This is not Sweden… I think £4.50 for Semla in London is £1 overpriced at least.
