We've loved Schilling for the last seven years! No matter what, they serve consistently amazing beer, pizza, and a full menu of other delicious options. Any chance we get, we bring friends and family for a visit and they seem just as blown away as us. The atmosphere inside and out of the taproom and restaurant are so beautiful, cozy and inviting. Nothing beats enjoying a beer next to the sparking river — the sound of it flowing by will lull you right into your good place. All this good stuff, plus, we just booked them to host our wedding reception and everything went great! The guests loved the chill atmosphere and I can't tell you how many "mmm"s and "wow, this is some good pizza"s I heard while bouncing from table to table. Sweet merch too ;)

The Tasting Room is Great! Amazing Atmosphere. Very Beautiful overlooking the river. Great adult time. The staff very knowledgeable, helped making an exceptional choice. Beer was Fantastic….🍺🍻

Schilling is one of New England's best breweries. They have a large selection of German-style beers, and each is unique and delicious. This location is the brewery and a brewpub with delicious food and large indoor and outdoor seating right on the Ammonoosuk River in the old Mill district. Highly recommend!

Google
We stopped in for lunch after coming down the mountain. The pizza was good, though it was rather busy when we came in and so it took awhile to get our food. We ate inside, but outdoor seating looked pleasant also. We ordered 2 pizzas (one a meat one and the other was a veggie one)for 3 of us and they were both good. One was a bit too overdone (blackened) on the crust. Great flavor though.

Google
Some of the best Euro lagers this side of the pond, hands down. Their Czech lager selection is literally unmatched in New England if not in the New World. Phenomenal spot well worth going out of your way for.

Google
Amazing brewery and restaurant. I had the smash burger and it was very tasty. The beers were next level. Great selection of German and Czech style beers. The atmosphere is very cool. They have 3 places in the same square. (Main restaurant, tasting room, and a pub). Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Google
Server was friendly and nice. Historic building and interior were neat. Outdoor seating was packed as it was a beautiful day. Was one of 3 co-related restaurants so you could buy beer is one and walk to one of the others since they were all owned by the same place. Food was good too. Great location. Could see it being a good party spot in the summer months.

Google
My wife and I visited here today and loved it. The food was incredible, the staff was very friendly and personable, and best of all, the beer was phenomenal. Definitely a must stop when youre in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
A pretty good choice for pizza if you are near the Flume Gorge. I was fortunate that they allowed me to split the styles of the pizza, as long as they are the same sauce base. I ended up with half chicken bacon ranch and half roundhouse pizza. Pretty good crust that was thin, crispy, but still had some glutinous chew. These pizzas are a little smaller than what you would see elsewhere, but not at all a personal size pizza. If you're a hungry dude, then you could easily eat this while pizza. If you're wanting some sense of prob control or can't eat too much, then this is shareable. I also have a feeling these pizzas get most of its heat from the bottom and not the top, because most of the toppings didn't have any char or browning on them. But overall, it was a good pizza, and provably one of the better meals you can have near the Flume Gorge. The salad is just ok. They do make their own maple vinaigrette which was not bad. The salad itself isn't crisp. It is still fresh, but felt like a salad I could have had at home when I leave my veggies in the fridge for a day or two. Overall, this is an easy choice to make if youre in Littleton. I cant say it's the best because it's the only place I went to as a restaurant. I certainly wont claim this is the best pizza in the New England area, but its good for Northern New Hampshire.

Yelp
Shilling's '24 October Fest was another successful event- an international array of brewers, food trucks on a warm Fall day in Littleton. Great beers, oompa bands and lederhosen = fun 3 hours

Yelp
We tasted one of their beers in Portland - and decided it merited a visit to the mother house. A bonus - great foliage in the white mountains. We began with tasting @ the store & tasting room and then had a short wait for lunch. Staff was fabulous-hosts, servers & tasting room staff. Totally comfy. Pizza was great, as was the beer cheese & pretzel. Dark lager & helles with lunch were yummy. Need a repeat visit!

Yelp
Amazing brewery in a cute little town. Great atmosphere. Outdoor fire places to stay warm. Nice dark interior. Very friendly staff. Waiter was chatty and young. Great European beers. Yummy pub food. Beautiful view of river. Would go again.

Yelp
The beers were exceptional. Everything we tried was delicious. We loved their food; it was very good. Plus, the attention from the staff was amazing. What a nice place to spend the entire day soaking in beautiful views and enjoying good beers.

Yelp
Wow!! We just finished a weeklong beer tour through Maine, NH, and Vermont, and Schilling was in our top 3 of 30-ish breweries. For me, the Tripel is to die for - an all-time favorite. The range is impressive, everything is good, and the people are wonderful. Love it!
google avatar

Danielle A.

Yelp
Loved it here!!! Honestly such a vibe. The staff was sooo friendly, we had to wait like 30 mins for a table but it was so nice bc we sat outside by the fire. The beers were so good and the food was out of this world. I'll def be back!

Yelp
I am not want to give out five stars, but this tavern was wonderful! Located in Littleton, New Hampshire, right on the river, Schilling Beer Pub was a wonderful find. We actually did not know where we were going, but follow the music right to the front door. This tavern serves pizza, And other woodstove items. A limited menu, but definitely worth a visit! They are known for their microbrews and have a dedicated clientele. This is definitely gonna be a place that we visit every time. We are in Littleton! Our server, Jess, was fabulous, and so were the other people that helped serve our food. Limited seating inside, but we sat out on a porch that was heated, and we could overlook the river while we had our dinner. We stayed there for probably two hours chatting and enjoying the atmosphere of this tavern. This is a definite if you are in Littleton, New Hampshire

Yelp
We stopped by for beer and pizza after a hike. The patio in front of the restaurant was completely empty so we'd figure we wouldn't have a problem getting seated. The server directed us to another patio area where dogs are allowed. It was challenging to find a table because lots of people were seated, including people without dogs. It would have been helpful if people who didn't have dogs were directed to the patio where people with dogs could not sit. However, no one was organizing it and I would recommend they do. We had to order inside - no table service. We got a beer and a cider plus a pep pizza and salad to share. Everything was delicious. The server who brought our food out was kind and even gave us a side of ranch. This place has solid drinks and food. Good to know that dogs are only allowed on one specific patio - a patio that isn't as big so you might have to wait for a table to free up. In good weather, it's no problem, in New England winter weather prob not gonna happen for me. Cheers till next time!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. In the area for hiking and needed to make a stop for lunch. Had an appetizer along with an IPA chaser "The Combover" not joking it's pretty good and their app was the House Baked Artisan Slate awesome little dish which was quite filling and flavorful. So if in the area stop in and check it out. Great walking about town too!

Yelp
Grabbed a late dinner of pizza and beer on Saturday night. The beer is good...lots of hoppy offerings as they specialize in Czech style beers. I managed to find a less hoppy Saison while hubby ordered a Belgian tripple that was also very good. Had the Roundhouse pizza with jalapeños and a maple syrup drizzle -- excellent choice! Our server was lovely and attentive, checking on us a few times to make sure we were not too cold and having the heaters turned on for us. Would love to come back here in the warmer months as there is plenty of outdoor seating and the brewery is right on the river. Didn't get a picture of the food or beer but snapped a photo of the covered bridge!
google avatar

Yelp
Arrived as the brewery was opening. Immediately, we were greeted and seated. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided us with helpful information about the brewery and provided recommendations. The brewery was what I expected from a Vermont brewery. There was lots of wood and looked rustic/farm but modern, too Apparently, there were different restaurants depending on which building you entered. This restaurant focused on pizzas. The pizza options were limited and sized for an individual. You should potentially share one if you both aren't super hungry The pizza arrive hot and was very flavorful. Unfortunately, I'm not a beer person. However, my friends that I was with enjoyed the beers that they consumed Almost forgot - we had the Mac and cheese as an appetizer and I'm glad that we did

Yelp
We were very pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem in Littleton NH. Thank You, Yelpers! Incredibly good veggie pizza. My husband was worried about the spinach on it but he loved it. He tried a couple of craft beers that he liked and the server, Emily, was so kind and helpful. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to return the next night. The brewery is overlooking the river and an old covered bridge so the ambiance was delightful. I need to advise about the parking. As you turn down Mill street you can see the Schilling on the left but don't be tempted to turn left looking for parking. Turn RIGHT to find the parking. If you don't , you'll have to circle back around.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Visited Schilling with our family Sunday night and it did not disappoint! We were immediately impressed with the location views and walked to covered bridge right next door before our visit. We scored a booth and ordered delicious apps & beers, (excellent variety to add)! We got pizza to go and finished our beers by the fire pits outside-loved the ambiance. Most of all, we appreciated how kind and welcome the staff were to our two toddlers. Thank you from Boston visitors; we can't wait to return!

Yelp
Amazing beer, good service. Pizza was very good. Low lighting which wasn't an issue the outdoor seating with heat was great also.
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite stops in New Hampshire! Customer service was great. I was happy with my half pour of their IPa. It was super tasty! For lunch, my fiance and I split the roundhouse pizza. It was so tasty! The syrup + jalapeño combo made for a unique taste! (Yes, you read that flavor profile correctly). Cute little spot
google avatar

Kaylin V.

Yelp
If you've been to another brewery before than this will have a similar vibe. We got seated on the deck and had a beautiful view of the river behind us. Seating is a little tight but service is incredibly quick. We sat down and ordered our drinks and they immediately came out. Our food also came out incredibly quickly and was delicious!
google avatar

Kerrie H.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Not much wait time. Beer variety with nice tastings. Scenery of river and covered bridge so pretty too. Only wish they had some live music.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
The atmosphere at the tasting room was great. We sat on the covered porch at a picnic table overlooking the water and covered bridge. It was so beautiful. We tried almost every beer that wasn't a full pour. The glassware was beautiful. I really enjoyed the Gose Poppy it was flavorful but not too tart. We will definitely be back to try the restaurant and more beers when back in Littleton.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great find on our stop in Littleton! A little slice of German Beer heaven. The food was incredible. I'm never a huge pizza fan but he ordered a loaded pizza and it was a beautiful thin crust slice of paradise. The beer menu was a happy surprise (not that the name didn't give you an idea) but some many old school german styles of beer. Great Biergarten to eat and drink in. Don't want to stick around for food. Go to their tap house next door for some sweet swag and tasting the beer plus a great selection of their offerings canned and ready to roll.
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
European style brews with a unique selection of flatbreads. We had tried unsuccessfully to get a spot at schilling on our last trip to NH, but this time came out victorious. Their winter quadrupel, Doxology, was packed with rich bourbon flavor, but fair warning packed too much of a punch to drive home on if you intend to finish. The bratwurst was hardy with a nice punchy sauerkraut and the flatbreads had a nice thin crust with great toppings. This was our favorite meal in Littleton! Drinks 1. Doxology - 5/5 Main 1. Bratwurst - 4/5 2. Flatbread - 5/5
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
Schilling brews the best beer in New Hampshire, maybe even New England, and that's not hyperbole. Their focus is on European lagers, so if you're looking for 10 IPA variations on tap, this isn't the place for you. If you like to drink innovative and classically influenced lagers, this is nirvana. The brewery is on the bank of the Ammonoosuk River and was originally a mill with a water wheel, which is still there. They have a beer garden with lots of tables, a tavern inside, and a tasting room in the separate brew house steps away. The brewery campus is really cool, and they are adding a new kitchen soon. The food is excellent now, and I can't wait to go back this fall to try the new offerings. I go to a lot of breweries, and this is one of the best. Their beers are world class, and everything else is part of a special experience. That includes the charming town of Littleton as well. Worth making this a destination trip. The mountains nearby, the brewery and town, all make it really cool.

Yelp
Food and service and bookmark to come again Good food and beer to enjoy Chicken Maple Bacon Pizza was great and the House Pretzel Roll
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
It was a hopping place for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, because of the nearby Farmer's Market; but the thin-crust pizzas, bratwurst, and European-style beers were worth the wait. We went over to the brewery building and tasted a flight while we waited for the table. Impressed by the Bavarian Hefeweizen which tasted very authentic (based on a recent trip to Bavaria!). Friendly waiters, families at picnic tables, a view of the river all contributed to a great time.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place. The ambiance was amazing they had 3 different places you can go to while waiting and all of them are very nice. The food was great it was very good and the staff were very nice.
google avatar

Red R.

Yelp
Full disclosure - we don't drink alcohol. But We were hungry for some good food. The pizza unfortunately fell short. Good flavor, but not much toppings. The so-called salad/greens for $8 also needs improvement. I mean if you're going to put out greens you can afford to give a bowl full. The best thing was the pretzel with the beer cheese. I'm not lost in the reality that the food may have tasted better after several beers.
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
Like good craft beer? Like wood fired food? Then this is your place! This little gem is nestled behind the shops of Littleton's Main Street overlooking the Ammonoosuc River. I had the Landbier Dunkel, a low alcohol(4.2%) dark German lager and my sister had the Alexander IPA. Both were delicious! For a dark beer the Landbier was somewhat light and didn't leave me overfull. We shared the twisted pretzel which, IMO, is a must have appetizer or snack. The pretzel is a thick, twisted version of their dough that is lightly salted and baked to perfection in the wood fired oven. It is served with their own house made dips: a beer cheese dip and sweet mustard sauce. Both were so good it was hard not to ask for a spoon to eat them sans the pretzel. I can't say enough about the service. Everyone is so friendly-including the chefs. But if you head over on a Friday afternoon ask for Bart. He will serve you right.

Yelp
Really disappointed in the way they manage the tasting room versus restaurant. My suggestion would be to close your restaurant dining since you can't seat a party of 2 within 1.5 hours of waiting on a weekend, since your staff is so overwhelmed with to-go orders for parties next door at the tasting room. Become a to-go food service restaurant and extend your beer garden seating. We arrived to check in for a table for lunch around 12:40pm, very understandable that there was a 35 minute wait as it was lunch time on a Saturday. We put our name and number down, and went next door to have a beer at the tasting room. I gave an additional 20 or so minutes past to be understandable as it's a weekend before we went to check in. Checked back in with the restaurant side around 1:35pm and were told it would be another 10 minutes until a table. At this point, we left because we no longer had the available time to sit and order and wait for food. It is now 2:15pm and we have yet to receive our promised text or call when our table would be ready. Almost 3x past the stated wait time we were given. What aggravates us about our visit the most is it seems the restaurant has this immense wait because everyone at the tasting room orders food to go from the kitchen - which would be okay if that could've been explained to us at the beginning and that would've made them an additional $50+ in revenue + tips for their staff. Unfortunately, we are visiting and this was not even given as an option. Halfway through our tasting room wait I considered ordering to go but didn't want to be disrespectful to the staff since we put our name in to dine. The beer was great, aggravated at the lack of service surrounding their restaurant side. Sad we couldn't have a better experience here as the location/vibes/beer was all 10/10. We even were considering buying merch at the front.

Randy M.

Yelp
Schilling Beer is an absolutely amazing place to grab a drink with friends or a spot on point for date night. Also a great place for family dinner out. The pretzel twist is a go to favorite along with all their wood fire pizzas. The rotation of seasonal brews always is an adventure that never disappoints. There is always something amazing and new to discover. Their lastest divine nectar is two fold. The Crystal Hill is a complex but subtle coffee vanilla Stout that is not only pleasing to the palate but the changes as it breeze is phenomenal. The Rhus is light refreshing crisp yet complex enough to intrigue even the most discerning palate. Along with a tart bite that if it is for you will send you into the stars. Also if you get the chance to request a server you need to ask for Lucas M. his attention to your every need is top notch and he is attentive, charismatic and knowledgeable.

Gail G.

Yelp
We lived in Littleton for three years, and this was one of our go-to places. Their wood-fired pizza was always creative and fabulous. Yesterday we drove up for an overnight visit to see friends, and were excited to order our favorite Chicken Maple Bacon pizza from Schilling. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. The pizza had less toppings than the last time we were there, which would've been okay if it had tasted the way it used to. But one side was completely undercooked - it looked (and tasted) nothing like the other, clearly wood-fired side. For the first time ever, we didn't finish our pizza. Probably won't be back.

Yelp
Schilling Beer has gotten a little too big for its britches. Customer service is now terrible, starting outside at the walk-up hostess station. We put our name in and when called for seating, it was for the wrong location we asked for. We were then told to get the seating we originally wanted, the wait time was as before, so to get the table we wanted, it would take twice the time. We opted for outdoor seating which was what we did not want but we took it anyway. We sat at the inside bar to wait and have a beer and if Ms Bartender had any personality or smile, she didn't want to share it with us. We have been regulars there for years prior to Covid because we have a second home in the area then couldn't go back after Covid for medical reasons, so this was our first visit for a couple years and Schilling Beer has changed and not for the better. Even the Brautwerst was not up to past experiences. Now, one brautwerst instead of two as before. Guess Brautwerts has gotten more expensive with cutting the order in half. Oh well, we won't be back.
google avatar

Ana D.

Yelp
This place is so good. Food was amazing and our waiter and the hostess were super friendly. We ordered two beers to start, mine was the sour guava and it was delicious. Their cheese plate is incredible, so creamy and flavorful. We also ordered the Pastoral pizza, delicious fine crust. Ambiance is also nice, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Littleton, NH.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
My friends and I were staying in Carol and made it up late. We were able to make it over to Littleton for dinner. This place was so quaint and had such a good beer list. I had the Hefeweizen beer and my friends had two others. They came in really cool glasses. We all got a pizza, but they were very large and would have been easy to split. I had the sausage pizza and it was delicious. My friends and I really liked the beer glasses and were able to buy them after. The tall one was $10 and the cool mug was $12. Our server, Sarah, was super nice and great in helping us pick out the glasses. I would highly recommend having her as your server. They are right next to the river and had their brewery right next door. I would definitely want to come back in the day time because this place seems like it would be great during the day.
google avatar

Bobby S.

Yelp
Swinging back to Maine then home to Tucson. Staying at the haunted Thayer Inn built in 1843. Right behind it on the river is an old grist mill turned into a brewery. We ate dinner and sampled their wares. We shared a pepperoni pizza cooked in wood fired oven. It was cooked perfect, well done. Great crust, cheese, sauce and pepp. Service by Alexa was excellent.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
It was a great spot that I stumbled into during my winter vacation. We sat in their porch area, which they keep nice and toasty. The food was excellent, and the beer was terrific. I can't wait to return in the warmer weather.

Kacie C.

Yelp
I think the Chicken Maple Bacon pizza was the best pizza me and my fiancé have ever had. Crème brûlée was to die for and every beer we tasted was delicious. This was a true treat for us Floridians, I don't think we can express how happy we are that we stopped in here!
google avatar

Heather W.

Yelp
The BEST pretzel and beer cheese! The BEST pizza! The most beautiful setting whether outside on the headed deck or inside with candle light this place is warm, gorgeous and DELICIOUS!! Service has always been great! One of my family's favorite spots to go!!
google avatar

Crystal G.

Yelp
The service is fantastic. Their beers are very tasty with a variety of styles. While the menu is not large, I think most people in your group would find something they like. The pizza is amazing! I like a place with creative food and Shilling has it. I love breweries and small businesses, this is a great stop!
google avatar

Debbie F.

Yelp
Road tripping and saw reviews of this quaint town so off we went. The first thing you notice is there historic downtown with the rapid river running alongside the town. Noticed a nice patio build out overlooking the water view and located it. It's was 2 buildings. One was the restaurant and original building of the brewery and than the newest building housing the brewery production and taste house. I entered and ordered their IPA and headed to the patio to Inhale the breathtaking view. As I sat waiting for that time of refreshing..I noticed the IPA was so light and fresh. I would have to say one of the best I have had. It has to be the spring water! . Loved everything about the brewery and if I could suitcase the view and the IPA I would take it back to Florida with me.
google avatar

Ananya G.

Yelp
Probably one of the best pizzas I have eaten. Has creative combinations of pizzas on menu. They also had a pretzel app that everybody seemed to order. Service was excellent and taste was outstanding . All has vegetarian options which was great

Stephen R.

Yelp
Great beer and food service can be slow with large crowds in the summer, but it's worth the wait.

Mike S.

Yelp
Went on a saturday. No reservation. Sat at the upstairs bar and it was awesome. The food and beer were great. The service was wonderful and I will definitely go back when I'm in Littleton!
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
My brother and I came here after a long day of hiking in the White Mountains. We came to Schilling at the suggestion of our neighbor and this place did NOT disappoint. First, the beer is incredible. They offer an array of different beer styles for all beer enthusiasts to enjoy. Second, the food is delicious. The twisted pretzel is served straight from heaven. It's hot and buttery and I'm pretty sure they sprinkle crack on top because I'm itching for another taste. The beer cheese and assortment of other cheeses were also nice. Even the green beans were incredible. It's bizarre. Would come back again just to eat. But the real star of the show is Bernard. He's a knowledgeable and friendly bartender who clearly has a passion for what he does. He sold us on several beers that were all amazing and his descriptions and stories were spot on. Will be coming back for a foliage hike in the fall and Schilling has already been added to our hit list. 10/10.
google avatar

Yelp
Best beer! Authentic German style brews taste like you're sitting in a local brauhaus!
google avatar

John N.

Yelp
What a pleasant place to stop and have a beer and pork sandwich on a nice day. Their back deck overlooking the river is a great vantage point especially in autumn. Food was great and beer delicious.

Laurence H.

Yelp
Great service, thank you Sam and all the staff today. The chicken maple bacon pizza was worth the hour drive.

Josh M.

Yelp
Great Beer Ridiculous beer cheese and pretzels Great atmosphere Our favorite place for pizza and pre ski hangout

Yelp
So nice we had to come twice! Our first night in Littleton, we went to the tap room for dinner and drinks and were basically hooked. We took it easy on drinks but went a little crazy on the food. Started off with the hummus (oh my god...) and got the veggie pizza, the buffalo chicken pizza and the chicken maple bacon pizza. Before you marvel at our super human stomachs please know we left with a pizza and a half as leftovers. Everything was so incredible! The hummus was so flavorful and I could have eaten an entire plate of the bread they came with. The chicken maple bacon pizza stole the show and was almost like a little dessert it was so sweet. We ate inside but they have plenty of big picnic tables outside and you can't beat the view. The river on one side, the covered bridge on the other. This is a VERY cool spot. On our next visit, we got a great table on the deck of the tasting room right on the river. While I am not a big beer person, the guy in the tasting room was so incredibly kind and helpful. He let me taste a few until I found one that I really liked. After that, my boyfriend and I decided to just get a flight and try a bunch. Down the list of 6 they were all amazing. Coupling the beer with some fries and a pulled pork sandwich from the food truck and we had a perfect little stop on our walk around town.

Yelp
Excellent mac-n-cheese and brats! Enjoyed a nice meal on my way to the Bretton woods.
