"Step into this eclectic, energetic restaurant and it’s instantly clear you're in for a good time. Even before you’ve had a bite, the room scores high on humour. The "gourmet comfort food" on offer is easily worth the wait—just ask the locals. Little details—an apple brought out before the meal, a game of hopscotch on the way to the bathroom—riff on the educational metaphor. Highly recommended for lazy winter weekend feasts." - NUFF

Super popular (busy) spot for brunch but genuinely so good! Get The Safe Bet, cheesy bacon french toast, any of the french toasts

We had a great time at SCHOOL! The food was delicious (we got the “Safe Bet” and the cheddar burger and were both very pleased! Nice portions and well seasoned food. I really like the vanilla honey butter that came with mine for the Challah toast! We also tried the house blend coffee which was fantastic (even black how I prefer it) and the hot chocolate was good, just make sure you give it a good mix! I also had the rotating flavoured lemonade which was pomegranate and peach-delicious! The food was expensive, but that’s to be expected at any boutique experience restaurant in liberty village! The service we received was great, the host was nice and got us a nice table next to the garage doors (we didn’t find it to be too cold at all, even in a February snowstorm)! We made a reservation which I definitely recommend-there was a huge line on our way out! Our server was the perfect amount of attentive and had great energy! The school theme made for an adorable atmosphere, it’s super cozy and it’s fun to look around at all the little treasures scattered around-the details are really the cherry on top here, especially loved how the lemonade came in a little science beaker! Overall a great experience-we will definitely be returning! Thanks SCHOOL!

A very unfortunate experience overall. We work in the Carpet Factory building right beside the restaurant and I wanted to visit for a team birthday lunch. Aside from my salad (health 101) being good, there were many issues listed below: 1. We were seated right beside the garage door on a day that was -20 and the restaurant was not sufficiently heated. I was absolutely freezing, and it didn’t seem necessary to see us in the spot as the restaurant was virtually empty on our side 2. The server charged us auto gratuity on a group of six, this was not told to us before we sat down (walk in), and it caused many of our teammates to double tip. She made it very difficult for us to receive the double tip back and reluctantly dished out some change. Also, it was an automatic 20%, which she did not deserve. 3. Very sloppy service overall, the server was not friendly and kept forgetting things. 4. Way too expensive. One of our teammates claimed to have gotten food poisoning here many times before, but we decided to try again. The spicy mac & cheese did not sit well with any of us. It’s too bad, but we will never be returning to this restaurant. I recommend Mildred‘s temple instead!

Wanted to like this place. Food LOOKED good, but it didn't taste very good. Pancakes were too dense and kind of dry. The waffle was soft and ok, but it's only a waffle. The fried chicken was dry and it seemed that only the coated itself had any distinct flavour. Service was fine, atmosphere was kinda cool.

We had to wait 30 minutes for a table, so plan your time accordingly! The food was amazing—we ordered Chicken and Waffles, blueberry pancakes, apple crumble pancakes, and the ‘Safe Bet,’ which included eggs with potatoes. The portion sizes were generous, and I’d recommend sharing the sweet dishes between two people unless you have a serious sweet tooth.

Omg so good! The food it's delicious! I went for the Sunday brunch and was a nice surprise. The plate is huge, but u don't feel stuff, just satisfied. Super recommend you to try ✨️ I already want to come back. The drinks are nice too, i order their ice tea and was very nice with something extra, and my friend order a orange juice with tangerine? And was nice too. Everything was great, the music lil too loud, but maybe this is normal?

What a delight! This place is not going to be for everyone. We wanted brunch for dinner, so it wasn't busy at all. There's lots of tables; it's the type of place where you know the food will be good because the tables are sticky. Our server's dry humor was hilarious. The front opens like a garage and it was a chilly night and we were quite cold - they didn't offer to close the doors. The food was delicious, I can't recommend the crispy crunchy French toast enough, the blueberry pancakes and hashbrowns were yummy as well. Everything was a large portion except the chicken and waffles, which was delicious regardless. My latte was amazing. If you don't like sweet bacon, don't order the sweet bacon. Overall if you want a cheap boring brunch spot where you're catered to like royalty this is not the place for you. We loved it.

Came here for a Sunday brunch. We were only 2 people, so we were able to get in without a wait, but any larger groups definitely had to wait a bit. The food here is delicious and the portions are pretty big. We got a chicken and waffles and Synonym Toast, which was very tasty but very sweet. Also split a side of the hash browns, but be aware the Jalapeño sour cream is spicy! However, the service was slow and not particularly friendly or attentive.
