"You’re here for burgers, fries, milkshakes, and B-movies, so stick to a simple order, then kick back and enjoy the show. The dining room is set up to look like a drive-in movie theater at night, with tables inside vintage convertibles and a massive screen showing clips from old sci-fi movies and retro pre-show material. It’s the perfect spot when you’re fed up with the kids (or whoever you’re with): all the seats face forward at the screen, so absolutely no conversation is required. " - Carina Finn Koeppicus

I was super excited to try this place out and the experience was really good. The food was ok but the waitress was really nice and the atmosphere was really cool. The dine-in layout and the vintage clips were funny and interesting to watch. If you are headed to Hollywood Studios for some Disney fun you need to make sure that you set reservations for this place in advanced as there is a decent wait and sometimes and impossibly long line to get in as a walk in.

We chose this restaurant for my grandson. Surprisingly, we all had fun here! Outside there is a car to sit in and take photos or to let the kids have fun while waiting. It made time go faster when we played in the car. I chose the special burger. It was a Ruben Burger on a pretzel bun. It was amazing. Probably one of my favorite quicker sit-down dinners. All the years we have being going to Disney we have never ate here. I am so glad we did!

The Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre Restaurant at Hollywood Studios offers a uniquely nostalgic dining experience. We had a 4:40 PM reservation, and while we were initially offered a "stretch limo" table—a regular table flanked by car-themed facades—we opted to wait an additional 35 minutes for a true car-shaped booth with three rows. This provided a much more authentic drive-in feel, significantly enhancing the immersive atmosphere. The restaurant's interior is undeniably the star of the show. It's designed to evoke a classic drive-in movie theater, complete with classic sci-fi movie clips projected on a large screen. This creates a wonderfully nostalgic and relaxing ambiance that makes dining here truly special. Beyond the captivating decor, the food and service were very good. Our meals arrived promptly, and both the burgers and fries were fantastic. The milkshakes were also a highlight, perfectly complementing the classic American diner fare. Despite the extra wait for our preferred seating, the overall experience was very positive, making it a memorable stop on our Hollywood Studios visit.

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre, found in Hollywood Studios, is hands-down my absolute favorite themed restaurant in all of the Walt Disney World parks. The moment I walk in, I’m transported—seated in a classic 1950s car under a starlit sky, ready to enjoy dinner at the drive-in. I love the atmosphere: vintage cars as booths, retro speakers by the side, and a loop of old sci-fi clips playing on the big screen—cheesy aliens, campy robots, and all the nostalgic charm. The food is always solid, but the service? Incredible. Friendly, fast, and always in theme. Every visit feels like stepping into a time capsule with a side of fries.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (But let’s be real—this place deserves 10 stars!) An out-of-this-world experience from start to finish! Dining at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant was like stepping into the coolest time machine ever—with a side of the best burger I’ve had in years. The whole atmosphere is pure Disney magic: classic cars for booths, vintage sci-fi flicks playing on the big screen, and that dim, drive-in glow that makes everything feel nostalgic and special. Now, let’s talk food: the burger? Off. The. Charts. I ordered a classic with bacon, tomato and onion! It was cooked to perfection!! It was Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The onion rings were crispy perfection—like golden halos of happiness. And the Oreo milkshake? A creamy, dreamy masterpiece that deserves its own star on Hollywood Boulevard. The service was great, the vibes were immaculate, and I genuinely didn’t want to leave. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again—with better food and no curfew. Highly, highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back for another round of movie magic and milkshakes!

We visited for the first time. My child really wanted to try this restaurant. Service was the best, who likes fast food, 🥘 they will enjoy. Movies is kind boring, but is something different.

This place is unique with regards to the setting and immersive experience. While waiting in line they entertain you with disney trivia. Afterwards you step in to the dining area and feel like you’ve been transported to the past. The waiters do a great job checking on you and making sure you have everything you need. If you ask for a sauce or napkins they are very generous with the amount. The meals come in large portions and I recommend getting the milkshakes for dessert as they are delicious.

Great place to stop for a delicious burger. Love the details! We did not get to sit in the car and eat, but we sat behind them at a picnic table, which was just as nice!

Renee U.

Yelp
Pros: feature burgers have been delicious every time & i love that disney has the flexibility to do lettuce buns and side salad instead of fries Service is always good also Cons: kids mac and cheese is not good.. very bland needs work.. Other than that, great experience and ambiance!!

Yelp
A Galactic Dining Adventure at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Blast off into a cosmic culinary journey at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant in Disney's Hollywood Studios, Orlando! This out-of-this-world eatery is a must-visit for any space enthusiast or movie buff. As we entered the restaurant, we were transported to a retro-futuristic drive-in theater, complete with sleek, chrome-plated cars and a starry night sky. The fun and quirky atmosphere was electric, with friendly servers dressed in astronaut attire adding to the intergalactic ambiance. The menu was a celestial delight, featuring creative dishes like the: - BBQ Cheeseburger: a juicy patty topped with cheddar, bacon, and a tangy BBQ pulled pork - Banh Mi Burger: a flavorful twist on the classic, with pickled carrots, daikon, and sriracha mayo The food was delicious, with generous portions that left us feeling like we'd reached orbit. But the real showstopper was the theater itself, featuring a loop of vintage sci-fi movie clips and cartoons that had us laughing and nostalgic. The attention to detail in the decor, from the spaceship-shaped booths to the neon lights, was simply stellar. Overall, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is a true Disney gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience that's simply out of this world! Don't miss it on your next visit to Hollywood Studios. It was a galaxy of fun

Yelp
We got the dining package for Fantasmic and decided on Sci-Fi Dine-In, which is $51/person and includes: "An entrée and appetizer or dessert at select full-service restaurants or one (1) full buffet (where applicable), along with a nonalcoholic beverage One voucher for guaranteed seating at Fantasmic! in a reserved area" With the package, I could make a reservation for any time during the day so we decided to come around 2PM for lunch. Even with a reservation, we waited almost half an hour. It was packed in the waiting area, but half empty when we went inside. There just weren't enough servers it seemed like. If you did a walk-in, you could not get a "car table", only the picnic table in the back. In retrospect, the picnic table would've been nicer because the car table was extremely cramped and uncomfortable. As a group of two, we also sat in the middle row, sandwiched between two other groups, which wasn't fun. If you have a group of 6 you could take up a whole car (3 rows), which would probably make the experience more fun. The rows are extremely cramped, so they're not very size inclusive either. I also thought they would put on an actual film, but the film reel just loops - and it's very short so we watched the same reel consecutively multiple times. It almost feels like a fever dream in there, not that fun. +/- Shrimp Pesto Penne Pasta: Came out very hot, but also very salty. The flavor was alright, but it was just a salt bomb overall, so I found it hard to finish. +/- The Feature Film Burger*: Huge burger, they change it up every so often so this one came with pastrami. Flavor was decent, a burger is probably a safe choice here. + Sci-Fi Smoked Chicken Wings: Quite good! It was hoisin-glazed, if you like hoisin at all, you'll like these. + Fried Dill Pickles: Tasted a little stale (not hot), but flavor and crisp was good. Came with a side of ranch. One and done, in my opinion. Not worth coming back. Food isn't good enough to justify the novelty of a drive-in theater at night.

Heidi B.

Yelp
We lucked out and got a table without a reservation or a wait. It was for the picnic table in the back, not a car. We never even heard of this place before walking in and it's pretty cool. It's a retro 50's drive in movie theater. The servers are in character and are great We had cheese burger - tasted great, BBQ burger - burger patty with pulled pork on top, banh mi burger - it was way over cooked. You need a park ticket and a reservation for this place. It's very different and I would recommend it.

Yelp
Thur @1:30pm This fun diner does NOT take walk-ins so you'll have to make reservations on the app. It was the only spot available for lunch when I was figuring out lunch and we lucked out with a reasonable time. It's such a fun concept: the entire restaurant is setup to look like you're at a drive-in theater at night back in the days. Each table you dine in is a vintage car where you either sit in front or the back of a car, next to one person. There are "normal" table settings for larger parties. But keep in mind that since it's suppose to simulate a night time vent at an outdoor drive-in theater, it is quite dark. Your dashboard is slightly dim lighted, but it is tricky to see the menu and your food. On the big screen are compilations of trailers and animated shorts from back in the day, and it's quite fun since it's so cheesy. The whole thing is probably 20 minutes, playing on loop. Here's what we ordered: SCI-FI IMPOSSIBLE NACHOS - $13 Fried Tortilla Chips topped with Plant-based Black Bean Chili, Avocado Cream, Pico de Gallo, and Cilantro. I wish there was more of that Avocado Cream. Maybe it would have been better if it weren't vegan so there would be sour cream and cheese, which is the core goodness of nachos. Oh well lesson learned. It wasn't terrible. BLACK GARLIC CESSAR SALAD - $11 Petite Romaine Lettuce with Grilled Artichoke Hearts, Chopped Applewood-smoked Bacon, and Shaved Parmesan topped with a House-made Black-Garlic Caesar Dressing and served with a Toasted Garlic Crostini. The black garlic flavoring in the dressing was pretty subtle, but that menu name sure caught my attention! It was overall good. BANH MI BURGER - $23 Grilled House-made Pork Patty topped with Roasted Pork Belly, Pickled Vegetables, Cucumber, Herbs, and a Sriracha Aïoli. Not bad! I"m just grateful they spelled BANH Mi correctly haha. But not on the receipt :P. The fries were good, and so was the burger. Nothing really stood out to me, but it did its job. PESTO PENNE PASTA - $22 Penne Pasta tossed in House-made Pesto Sauce with Sun-dried Tomatoes, Rainbow Cherry Tomatoes, Grilled Artichoke Hearts, Onions, and Spinach (Plant-based). Not bad though Iw old have liked more sauce. I only ordered this because my body just needed the veggies. I honestly wished this came with cheese. Man this spot is really great at serving vegan food, haha. I had a blast. Our server was delightful, and it was such a fun and unique dining experience. I never seen a movie at a drive-thru before so this was extra special, hehe.

Yelp
This a fun 50s themed style restaurant. In short if you have the chance to eat here you probably should. We've been here several times and have always enjoyed it. It is connected to ABC Commissary by a common bathroom hallway. The menu has something for almost everyone and they do an excellent job of accommodating food allergies. We started with the impossible nachos which were delicious and about a 2/5 on spice level. We also tried the plant based pesto pasta which was fresh and cooked al dente. In addition we tried the grilled chicken salad which was very fresh and enjoyable. Prices are Disney prices, but are a very good value. Highly recommended!

Yelp
3 stars and that's for the ambiance at best. It had been around 10 or so years since I had been here so I was excited to visit. I do remember the food being ok at best from my past visits. This spot has so much potential. On top of the ambiance, I do love the film reel, even if it's too short before it loops again. Service here was pretty solid. Does anyone else ask for a lemon for their drink and never seem to get it anywhere? The server actually remembered here. Now in terms of the food, worse than I remembered. The fried pickles were super thin with way too much breading. The burger made my stomach hurt. I could not finish it. It was super greasy, and I am a person with a strong stomach. The only food I did like were the onion rings which reminded me of diner onion rings from NJ. I asked to upgrade for them instead of fries and asked to have the sauce on the side that comes with the onion ring appetizer, but I am sure they sent something else. They also share a bathroom with The Commissary, which was absolutely trashed during the visit.

Yelp
During our Disney visit we decided to try out this 50s themed Restaurant and it was a good time. In order to sit in the car shaped booths and watch the large screen playing oldies but goodies, you must make the reservation online. The first availability was about 1.5 wait and even when after we checked we had to wait, we were finally alerted of our table being ready about 20 minute later so we snuck in the 3D Sesame Street experience. So if you're hungry it might not be the place for you or try the walk in seats out which I heard was a 20 minute wait but in a completely different area. The food itself was great, the pasta was very good and they had a variety of adult drinks. The service was very nice and in theme, wish I could remember his name. Overall a fun experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the park.

Yelp
Reservation on DisneyWorld App recommended! This restaurant was a HIGHLIGHT of my Disney trip--absolutely LOVED the interior design, service was fast & friendly, and food was amazing! You already know the burger is gonna be good when the server asks "How would you like your patty cooked?" (answer should be "medium rare")! Drive in BBQ burger: Thick patty cooked to your liking with a sweet & savory jam. My bf and I split this and a side of crispy onion rings because we didn't want to stuff ourselves, but man we were 8 out of 10 stuffed. Crispy Onion Rings: Great appetizer to share & the crunch did not disappoint. Loved it with the chipotle sauce too! The inside is so detailed with the old-school car table seating, black & white films, and starlights. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Disney Hollywood Studios!

Yelp
Pros: *unique experience *in-theme *great service from Cast Members Cons: *food was not great *food was ridiculously expensive for how bad it was *18% gratuity is automatically applied for groups of 6 or more, but they still automatically applied it to my check for 2 people without notice *seating was weird and unexpected. The tables are in the cars, and there are 3 rows per car. As a party of 2, we were sat in between 2 other small groups and basically sitting on top of each other. This experience would definitely be better in a larger group that takes up the whole car *rows are pretty narrow and snug, not very comfortable for tall/wide people

Linda T.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner here, on a weekday. We made reservations the day of, not realizing how quick the different restaurants were fully booked. Be mindful the space is a little cramped in the booths and it's very easy to hear the conversations around you. You feel like you're in a cute little car seat, with just enough room for a table infront of you and a big screen projector ahead playing old movie clips. Not the most convenient getting in and out of the car, since there is only one way in/out and if you're sitting on the inside, the person sitting on the outside has to get up. We ordered chips & guac as the appetizers. I had the grilled chicken citrus salad for the entree and the portion size is huuuge! Enjoyed every bite and even saved some leftovers!

Lauren L.

Yelp
To begin, we were able to grab a reservation last minute on a Thursday night. We arrived a bit early and were seated within 10 minutes. Quick! When you walk in, you're greeted with an ambiance like no other. It is an indoor drive-in! The tables are opened up cars, and on screen are cycling old sci movie teasers. It took a little time to get our food but we were really enjoying the movie teasers. I got a BBQ burger that was actually very large and very very delicious. Highly recommend. Our waitress was funny and provided jokes and when they give you the receipt, it has Parking Violation on it. All in all, will be back. Cheers!

Ramona G.

Yelp
Pretty cool dining experience at Hollywood Studios. It's an indoor, retro drive-in theater. You get to sit in a vintage car while watching a classic movie on screen. I ordered a BBQ Burger $25 and asked for it with a side of fried pickles. The burger and fried pickles were pretty tasty and hit the spot. The pricing wasn't too bad considering the ambiance. The short movies they play aren't known classics, so it's not really something that you'd recognize and watch in its entirety. That's probably so people don't stay too long. Great place to check out if you're at Hollywood Studios.

Angeline K.

Yelp
The experience was amazing. Went here for the one of a kind experience and as a package to see the Fantasmic show. The price was worth what we got.

John P.

Yelp
We have ate here three or four times. It has good food and a really cool atmosphere. We also had great service

Matt B.

Yelp
#1 As soon as you book your tickets, make a reservation to this place. It fills up fast. #2 If you can't get a reservation, check 24-36 hours prior to going to the park because people always cancel. (That's how we got ours) #3 Order the Chewbacca burger. It's not on the menu, but it's made of Wookie meat, apparently. It's cool to check out one time, but that's about it. You get to order in a drive-in 1950s-style old movie theater that has a hodge of 50s-60s horror and Sci Fi movie trailers. It's dimly lit and has a neat movie style ambiance. The BBQ drive-in burger was good and so was the vanilla shake. Nothing to write home about as far as the food, but it was filling. Again, one time experience that you should check out.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Omg this place was so cool! I loved it so much. You sit in a car and face forward watching the big screen with old movies playing the whole time. It is dark inside but such a cool Concept. I was a bit disappointed with our server, he brought our drinks out the same time as our appetizer abc then completely forgot my brothers food when we all got our food. Then my brother left early because he wasn't feeling well and I let the server know and then he brought his food out. Hello? He doesn't want it now that he's gone we got fried pickles and they were pretty good and the bbq burger was good too. Portions were huge and definitely could be shared. Onion rings were ok, not my favorite batter. Fries were good too. I would definitely go back, such a neat experience. I recommended it fit sure

Jae C.

Yelp
Had a reservation, they were behind schedule. Got seated 30m after our reservation time. Never had this issue with any of our other dining reservations. We couldn't even cancel our reservation or we would get charged a cancellation fee, there was no sort of compensation for their lack of preparedness. Not only that, all the hosts/hostesses were very lackluster. Our server wasn't up to Disney standards. Pretty generic if you ask me. Ordered the Banh Mi burger, super salty, even the water had a weird tap water taste to it. None of the other restaurants had that taste to the water. The atmosphere was unique with the "drive in" movie concept, but gets old really quick. Not too much to watch for kids. The shorts recycle every 45m or so.

Rachel W.

Yelp
I'm addicted to this Disney restaurant because I have been going here since I was a kid and I'm obsessed with the vibes - the drive-in theater really immerses you into the 50s! Although the ambiance is 10/10, I can't say the same for the food. My friends and I heard this restaurant had the best burgers in the theme parks, but I honestly thought they were just okay. I loved the onion rings though! Service was great, our waiter Ben was very prompt with everything we needed!

Richard W.

Yelp
Great fun cool place for lunch! Tasty food and fun service!! Highly recommended! Great sir conditioning!!

Yelp
By far the worst experience we've had at Disney! What I found in my food and how management handled it, let me tell you... First, we've booked a lunch reservation way in advanced and had to wait like an extra 20 minutes. The other DW restaurants pretty much had it together, so the extra wait was surprising. The car dining theme was cute, even if they were designed to be more like mini-counters with the car split up instead of a table in a car, with the whole car to yourself (so basically it won't be like the dining scene in Pulp Fiction). We were okay with that. For the film, they were mostly random animated shorts that were looped. Nothing worth mentioning, sadly. We got the Meteor (just a soda with a glow cube) and an Orbiting Oreos (basically an adult milkshake) for our drinks, Black Garlic Caesar Salad for app, the Feature Film Burger, and a Pesto Penne Pasta with Shrimp. We didn't stay for dessert. However, our appetizer was certainly not appetizing. The romaine in the salad wasn't really petite first if all, not sure what happened to the romaine heart, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was, I ended up chewing aluminum foil with my salad. It was quite a big piece, folded into each other like they were about the make a croissant with it. I thought it was a piece of artichoke at first (it was a good rectangular size and looked whiteish in the dark with the dressing). But proving way too tough to eat, I spat it out to my shock! Only thing more shocking was how the management handled it. After waiting for a good while, the sleepy manager came by and said he'll take off the salad so we won't have to pay for it. Like of course I won't pay for it, are you kidding me? I don't know how much of their mistake I ate and had a mild stomachache and stuff I don't need to mention here, but taking off the salad was literally the bare minimum any restaurant could've done. Not a magical experience by far. Luckily our waitress was pretty awesome and went to bat for us so we didn't have to pay for much (I ordered an extra drink just to tip her), but I certainly didn't have the appetite to have more than two bites of the $25 priced-burger and my partner barely at her pasta as she was stressed from the incident as well. And worst of all, we missed our next Genie+ reserved ride (the Aerosmith one) with how long we ended up waiting throughout this experience! We certainly didn't appreciate being dismissed by the manager at this establishment - just because we remained well-mannered and tried to keep cool doesn't mean we get to be treated as pushovers. Maybe if we looked different, we've gotten some better help?? Ultimately, the cold and apathetic management at Sci-Fi Dine-In and at Disney Hollywood can certainly do better when mistakes happen on their part, especially with how much a day and a night costs around here. A trip to my local diner would've turned out better. Super disappointing.

Rachel G.

Yelp
This was a second time eating here and the concept is pretty cool. You're coming from a hot day in Florida and dine inside, it feels like it's already evening time with the lights dim, strong a/c, and big projector screen to keep the voices low. It's relaxing in here. We ordered sticky wings and shrimp pesto pasta. Food was okay, but milkshakes are still a win. Of course, Disney prices are no joke but I recommend you coming here if you've never been in.

Alana T.

Yelp
A delicious and refreshing lunch salad!!! Glad there was a tasty healthy option. My fiancé thought his burger was just OK. We got lucky and checked the morning of for a cancellation reservation. Definitely a cool experience!!

Amy C.

Yelp
The pesto pasta was okay, food isn't all that, not many entrees to choose from. The servings are very big so it's good for two. The experience was cool, you start out by getting seated in a car and you eat your dinner sitting while watching some old sci-fi movies from the past.

Rusty H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in WDW. Usually my senses are overloaded in the parks. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre offers a respite, from everything. You sit in your car, facing forward, and watch trailers from classic scifi movies. It's dark, air conditioned, and almost reverent library level of noise make this a very nice break from the rest of the parks. I kinda wish the serving staff were on roller skates (not really), but it's a fun atmosphere with comfort food. Writing this review makes me wish I could go for lunch today.

Kimberley C.

Yelp
Oreo milkshake 9/10 Really good Oreo flavor. Tons of crushed oreo on top and throughout the cup. The straw did not work no matter how many times I tried, so I ate it with a spoon. Black Garlic Caesar salad 8/10 Dressing was a really good flavor, didn't taste super Caesar-y. I also didn't like that the Romaine was just sliced in quarters, almost like a wedge salad. The bacon in it was really good too, and I only got 2 pieces of artichoke. Toasted garlic crostini was really good, and good dipped in the dressing too. Classic American Burger 4/10 Ordered medium rare. The cook looked good inside but the flavor was very plain. The meat tasted like it had absolutely no seasoning. Not sure what the special burger sauce was because I couldn't taste it at all. The bacon was a little hard so it wasn't easy to get in each bite. Didn't taste the cheese either. Just the bland burger. I would not order this again or recommend it. Fries were pretty cardboard tasting too, and almost no salt on them. Drive-In Bbq burger 7/10 Ordered medium rare. The cook was good. Burger again was bland, just like the other one. All the bbq sauce and the bacon jam added the flavor to the burger. It was also a really messy burger.

Danyang Z.

Yelp
Food and shakes were surprisingly good. Only thing is the room was FREEZING cold inside. We were in a hurry to get out bedside we were so cold.

Hungry T.

Yelp
The concept of this restaurant was GREAT! The movies were hilarious, and the food was good. I just wish that that there was an option to have real chili on the nachos. They currently only have plant-based chili, which tastes plant-based too. The burger I ordered and the Oreo shake were amazing!! 4 stars!

Patrick W.

Yelp
Very interesting place! I had the BBQ burger that comes with pulled pork on top. Was wishing I got the regular burger and that the fries were a bit more crispy. Over all decent meal. I wish the movie that was playing was better. Why didn't they show any Disney classics?

Caroline Y.

Yelp
A solid 4/5 stars! First of all, the theming is great. The idea is that you're back in the 1950s at a Drive in Movie in the Hollywood Hills. If you have a party of 6+ you'll be in a car to yourself. If you are smaller, you'll sit in a private booth but share a car with others. I came in a party of two, and we sat in the back of the car. I thought it was fine, and we had enough privacy. The menu is supposed to resemble a snack bar, with burgers and there are some healthier options like salad. They had great looking vegan options and the best part is that there is wine, cocktails and beer here! Definitely make reservations in the app ahead of time. This is a great way to end your Park Day!

Tracy P.

Yelp
This was the perfect place to escape the crowds, heat, and humidity of the Hollywood Studios park. We snagged a reservation during the hottest part of the day for a late lunch and it was just what we needed. I loved the drive-in set up with tables styled as individual cars. The burgers were so filling we could have shared one! Of course we added milkshakes to our order and got one vanilla and one Oreo. The service was definitely up to "Disney standards" and What would have made it even better would have been a little nap after the meal!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I'm not quite sure how to write this review.... I guess what I'll say is: I'm glad we checked it out once because it's an experience, but I probably won't go back. It's such a cute, kitschy deal, but unfortunately they squish you in too tight to truly enjoy it. Also, i wasn't a huge fan of all the old videos they played. I'd rather it be something that's cuter for the masses, or something newer. Sitting in the cars is such an adorable idea!! The problem is that the seating is just waaaaaayyyy to small and cramped. And there's NOWHERE to put your STUFF!! What do you do with your purses/backpacks/shopping bags, etc..?!? There's no place to put it, so you have to squish it in with you on the seat. It's quite miserable, tbh. The food was surprisingly good! We really enjoyed our meal here. Great burgers, onion rings. Service was good. Atmosphere was adorable!!! So cute looking at all the cars and the movie theatre, and fake stars above. It's just a FUN environment. Here's what I'd say: I enjoyed doing it for the experience. I suggest you do the same. Just know that it's not perfect. FOOD: 5-stars ATMOSPHERE: 5-stars EXPERIENCE: 2 stars

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Friday park visit. Very cool set up where are seated in a large theater with an outside backdrop with stars and all. The booths are 2+2 car seats (some cars are 2+2+2). We were able to sit two adults and a toddler in one seat comfortably. The theater runs through maybe a 30 min loop of 1950's pop culture movie/tv trailers so definitely unique. Our waitress Toya was very attentive and prompt. Menu is standard diner fare, mostly burgers with the usual pasta dish and some salads. Everything was decent, nothing was absolutely mind blowing but the prices weren't crazy like Space 220. Expect to pay 25-30 per entree, which is about standard for Disney sit downs. Most of my 5 star rating was influenced by the great atmosphere, service, and generally decent food. We would probably come back here next time we're in Hollywood Studios.

Yelp
Unlike the hustle and bustle of most restaurants on Disney property, this one actual is a nice (quieter) chill vibe, which is refreshing. Reservations are highly recommended, but they may have walk up reservations available. It was just my son and I, so upon being sat in the back row with random people in the seats in front of us, I would have enjoyed a more optimal seating arrangement, but we managed. The server was amazing, but the food took about 35/40 min after ordering. The corny 1950s esq "horror films" were amusing, like Devil Girl From Mars made the wait okay. The food was good and served on mid century tv dinner like trays. I had a burger with a side salad which was pretty delicious. My son also at almost all his max and cheese and fries, I like the kids meal comes with two side AND an option for an ice cream sundae.

Yelp
It's Disney & it's a known fact you pay to breathe, nevertheless eat, at any of their parks. I've eaten at many take away and sit ins around Disney, but I was disappointed at both service and quality. As soon as we only ordered two burgers our waiter had no contact with us other than delivering food and the check during our meal. No check in to see how our food was or if we needed refills. The burgers were mediocre at best. Fries were room temp. I haven't been to Sci-Fi in about twenty years, but an update with the movies (& there are SO many amazing options) would add to the experience. I feel there's better quality food and experience than Sci-Fi and maybe will give it another go in twenty years.

Yelp
We loved this place! My boyfriend has been talking about the special burger since we got home from our trip! We are here using the Fantasmic Dining Package. You get so much food... The package comes with one non alcoholic drink per person, one appetizer per person, and one entree per person. It is a lot of food if you aren't used to eating that much. My boyfriend and I did a pretty good job of getting through it, but it helped that the food was delicious! Our server was fun and playful which is always nice! He recommends items not to order from the menu and why which was nice! We were originally going to order one of the items he said not to get, and we are glad because our choices were delicious! Watching old cartoons and movies on the screen while eating in a car is just such a fun and enjoyable experience!

Yelp
Went to Four parks. Had lunch at Sci Fi Dine in theater. We ordered burgers. They were amazing. I had classic my husband tried burger with pastrami with delicious fries that you can substitute with onion rings. Our adult children are vegan. They had a vegan options and special menu for different allergies. The milk shakes to die for. You eat in a car with old movies playing. Old drive in movie experience. It's best to make reservations. Must try.

Yelp
The cars are cool to sit in, our server was very nice. We were seated promptly. We were super rushed, order drinks and an app and they appeared immediately - nachos do not have cheese, Caesar salad was good but needs to be completely cut up as it's long romaine leaves. Burgers arrived while finishing apps. The fries with the burgers were so salty I couldn't eat more than 4. Other servers offered to take pics ours did not.

Yelp
I was told this was a must go restaurant in Disney World. We had a reservation but still had to wait 30 min for our table. The food was just not good. The fries were lacking flavor and the wings were really bad. The drive in theme was not good enough to make up for the quality of the food. You could argue that it's just amusement park food but I expect a bit more than this. Just trying to warn others not to have any expectations.

Yelp
Sci-Fi is a fun spot to grab some food while at Hollywood Studios, but it was an average experience overall for our group. The vibe is somewhat weird given that you're seated in the cars which are in rows of two, so so can't really carry on a group conversation with your entire party. With that, the place is quiet because people aren't talking and are walking the movie screen. The food was average; fried pickles are good and should be ordered. I opted for the cheeseburger subbed with an impossible burger. The onion rings were awesome. The shakes weren't really shakes; basically ice cream which wasn't drinkable through a straw. Prices were okay, but I would t come back again.

Yelp
We love it here. Normally we sit at the saucer tables in the back. Today, we are in a car WITH chairs! YAY! Wonderful food, entertainment, and service.

Yelp
Finally made it to the Sci fi dine in! Got a last min walk in on a Tues night. There were three of us (2.5 really!) so we got to sit in a bench in a car, which was neat, and minimally cramped (we are small people ) The little one (7 yr old) was not a fan, the movies playing were "boring" or "creepy" and she dropped a crayon and when she reached down for it her hand was met with meat in between the seat and the car body. (ewww) So we left the crayon alone. Her hamburger was pretty good though and she enjoyed the ice cream sundae! Hubs and I split the entree salad and onion rings. We were pleasantly surprised at how good both dishes were! Our server was fine. Full of bad jokes but a little too grown up and deadpan for the under 12 set. Net net the food was better than many of the other choices in Hollywood studios, the ambiance was cool but maybe better saved for older kids and adults, and don't stick your hands in between the seats!

Yelp
This is a fun diner! Last year was our first time & we definitely wanted to bring back friends. The room is stage like a real outdoor movie theater. You set in a car w/front & back row seatings. The server comes to you to take you order. They have really good burgers, fries, & milkshakes. The onions were ok. I would not order them again. It's fun watching the old movies. So cool! You need to check it out & Enjoy!!!

Yelp
We were so glad to grab a last minute reservation on Saturday night for dinner at one of our favorite Disney restaurants, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater! It's a 50's style drive-in that shows retro sci-fi movie clips while you eat in a car-shaped booth. It's such a fun break from the park and is a family favorite of ours! The food is surprisingly good but is a little pricey for a burger, even by Disney standards. The prices have never stopped us from booking a reservation though for a special treat or occasion. They also have amazing milkshakes that I have to get every time. I normally get the Oreo shake. I just don't have a picture of it from this visit since I ate it as soon as it was put on our table! If you are looking for a fun and unique Disney dining experience, this Sci-Fi Dine-In located at Hollywood Studios is for you!!

Yelp
Excellent place! The food, decor, service, everything was great. We went over a decade ago and it was bad back then so we were thrilled by the improvement in the food. We had burgers, chicken salads, and pastas. Everything was good although one felt their pesto pasta may have been a bit strong. Depends how you feel about pesto. My impossible burger was really good, very flavorful. The fries were thick cut with the perfect texture and seasoning. All of the portions were generous so none of us left hungry. The theme of a old scifi drive in was great. The giant screen showed clips, commercials, and more. Some in black and white others in color. It all fit the theme perfectly. The cars were available in a booth or table style. There's a speaker by each car to hear. Be sure to book a reservation in advance as it gets popular. The best place we ate at during our vacation.

Yelp
I live the ambience here. It's so fun! Also, added fun. If your kids are exhausting you can sit behind them so they won't keep asking you questions when you're trying to eat. It's great. Our server was also great. I'm so upset I can't remember his name. My husband said this was his favorite vegan options.

Yelp
the cutest date night you have ever seen! The drive-in theater at Hollywood Studios is very unique. The cars can fit six people and have an area to eat, has its own speaker to watch the trailers of the movies and the ambience is nighttime in LA. our server was very nice and attentive. It's sometimes hard to hear them because it's very quiet in the restaurant because everyone's listening to the movies and not really talking loudly! the food is pretty good for theme park food. Our favorite was the chorizo nachos and the plant based burger. it's not easy to get a reservation here. It's best to check the Disney app 60 days ahead of time to snag this popular restaurant.

Yelp
A must go when I'm in Hollywood Studios! They've got thick cut fries which are a nice break from the shoestrings everywhere in Disney seems to have. They also always have a feature burger, definitely mention allergies because sometimes the feature burger has a crab cake on it. I went today (feb. 2024) and it was a burger with pastrami, I really enjoyed it. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, and she added cute lil Mickey sprinkles to my milkshake! Their Mac n cheese is okay too, nothing too special but also not just your basic Kraft. I usually get the chocolate shake, each person makes it differently though so sometimes they put chocolate drizzle on, sometimes they don't. Their cookies and cream shake is good too! Pictured are the feature burger from when I went (the pastrami one), a chocolate shake, a cookies and cream shake, and the Mac and cheese with fries. Sorry pics are dark lol, this restaurant is very dark inside for the ambience

Yelp
We dined at Sci-Fi as part of the Fantasmic dining package. For $51 per person, you get an entree plus your choice of either an appetizer or a dessert. We both chose appetizers. The onion rings were so crispy and had a great ratio of onion to breading. The chicken wings were super meaty and the sauce was delicious! The Feature Film Burger had pastrami, pepper-jack and a carolina mustard sauce. It was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend. The classic burger was exactly as it sounds, but still really great! The atmosphere can't be beat. So nostalgic and fun! Service was also very attentive.
