Sconers - Review - Bellevue - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Old Bellevue just got an adorable-looking cafe focused on buttermilk scones in all forms. The menu is divided into four sections: savory, sweet, cream, and scooping (crumbled-up scones topped with cream in a bowl), and there are plenty of coffee drinks and tea, too. We’re already intrigued by the green onion and gorgonzola scone that looks like it’s injected with some sort of sauce capsule." - Gabe Guarente

Scones were delicious! The cream filled ones are also unlike anything I’ve ever had. I only wish the savory ones could have been heated and the cream filled ones chilled. Service was fantastic and quick. Place was really cute. Service and WiFi are both pretty bad. They have outlets, but I wouldn’t suggest it as a place to work. Nothing was loading on my phone. Probably just a place to eat and catch up with friends.

Went during their soft opening. What a perfectly curated vibe I feel like a Ralph polo bear drinking a latte. The scone concept is amazing & they’ll super filing & at $6-7 ea it’s perfect. Loved my latte too, great coffee ☕️ Not a working/study cafe though. So delish.

Very cozy shop! The scones were delicious. We got the basil and bacon and the raspberry scone. We’re so happy there’s a scone place in Bellevue. The workers here are super friendly as well.

I went because they were having a soft opening. The place is super cute and nicely decorated! It has a Korean cafe vibe, which makes sense since it’s run by Korean. Scones seem to be their main thing, but maybe because it’s a soft opening, they were really dry… so dry they almost fell apart. The Earl Grey scone with cream was also very dry at first, but after a bit, the cream made it a little more moist, so it was okay. The Earl Grey cream itself was really tasty. I was a bit disappointed with the scones, but the overall atmosphere is great and well put together just some small details could use a little more attention.

As a person who isn't too fond of scones, Sconers changed my mind. Their raspberry scone is delicious! I also got a mocha which was good but I would definitely come back and try another of their scones.

Yelp
I came by Sconers with a few friends for dessert after seeing it on social media, and was not disappointed! We tried a variety of their cream-filled scones: - Earl Grey - Double Chocolate - Milk Cream I loved how light and flavorful the cream was (Earl Grey was my favorite!), with the perfect amount of "not to sweet". We also took a few unique savory scones to-go for breakfast the next day, and they reheated pretty well in the toaster oven. The Lemon & Dill Scone was recommended by the staff, and it had such an interesting taste! Seating at this cafe is a bit limited though, with most tables set-up for two people. Parking in Historic Bellevue can also be a bit tough (usually only street parking or paid lots), so you may have to circle a few times before finding a spot.

Yelp
Came here with a couple friends on a Sunday this place is super cute and cozy. Love it the decors. Remind me of cafés that was see in Asia, which are some of my favorite when it comes to an aesthetic café. However, I feel like the scones were a little lacking. We got three different ones to try such as the corn and onion, earl grey cream, and the blueberry scone. Our favorite was definitely the Earl Grey cream, but the other two were just super dry. The worst was probably the corn and onion where it lacked flavor and the driest one. The drinks are OK.

Yelp
Ambience and aesthetic is lovely, I think that's what you really visit here for. The food or drink is disappointing in contrast to the beautiful cafe and curated vibe. Blueberry scone was OK, but generally a bit bland unfortunately. Didn't crumble in the delicious way I would have liked. I'm a scone snob and imo it was giving more biscuit since it was on the tender/soft side and not as buttery as I would hope. Basil bacon scone was overpoweringly like ... fennel ? It did not taste much of bacon (tiny bits though i guess...) OR of basil. It tasted like a strong italian sausage (the kind with a ton of FENNEL seeds). Idk maybe I'm thinking of something else but it didn't taste as advertised and the texture was just mediocre. Do not get matcha here. They do not advertise to be a matcha place, and I should have recognized that before getting a matcha latte. Pretty bitter. Probably just the cheap mix from Costco i'm guessing.

Yelp
I was so excited to find this adorable little scone shop on Old Main St. in downtown Bellevue! The staff was very friendly and helpful, describing all the scones. Such a cute shop with delicious treats!

Yelp
Great place to get scones in Bellevue! I'm glad that there's not any place like this and that they have so many tasty options here! I highly recommend the corn and earl grey as they were my favorites. The matcha was pretty good too not too sweet either. Overall I highly recommend and would come back.

Yelp
Super cozy interior with extra cute decor for the holidays. I would recommend eating it there because it tastes the best fresh. They warmed up the savory scone for us there. I got the cheese and bacon and the earl grey cream. Both were delicious and fills me up. The latte came in a 12 oz cup.

Yelp
Really enjoyed dropping by Sconers. Aesthetically pleasing, just as one Korean cafe should be. Cozy, warm, cute. Busy with trinkets yet, not overwhelming. We tried their warms scones, and their creamy dessert scones. Their warm scones were good.. but I wish they had asked if we would like it warmed. I bet it would have elevated the taste just that much more. The way they served it, it was more dry. But flavors were still unique and you could taste the distinct flavors. The major highlight was the creamy dessert scones. Because it was filled with creamy liquid, it kept the scones very nice and moist. Made it much more pleasant to eat than the savory ones. Also the cream was so delicious. We got the earl grey one, and both the scone and the cream was filled with earl grey flavor. What a beautiful scone. I had the vanilla latte, and my friend had the cold one topped with something. I really enjoyed my hot vanilla latte. Perfectly sweetened to acceptable Asian palette requirements. I would visit again. And highly recommend visiting. Only hard part is finding parking.

Yelp
Saw this spot on social media and was excited to try it after the location replaced Coffeeholic. Our order came out to around $40. The interior is super cute and very Instagrammable. We ordered several items to try. Sconers cream top latte: acidic, thin, and honestly not good. I drank less than an inch and threw it away. Something is off with the coffee flavor. Basil bacon scone: I thought it was bad but my partner said it was manageable. It tasted more like a dry or stale biscuit. Blueberry scone: again, offputting taste. Dry, stale, powdery, and not a scone-like texture at all. Milk cream scone: the cream was the MVP. Mocha cream scone: strong mocha flavor and again the cream saved it. I would not visit again. I agree with another review that there are many improvements needed. Not worth the $40 and overall a disappointing visit. The second star is for the aesthetics.

Yelp
Saw this place on instagram and had to come try the scones! The cafe is super cute and aesthetic. Not many tables to sit at. I went at 11am on a wednesday and all the tables were occupied. I took the scones to go and they were still super delicious. Love the variety of flavors including both sweet and savory. The coffee itself was not really my style. The beans they use have a much more acidic/sour note to it. The sconer cream top coffee doesnt have a flavor and is just a cream top coffee :) thought it might be their signature flavor but next time ill try another drink.

Yelp
Super cute and cozy scone cafe I tried the chocolate cream, earl grey, corn onion, and basil bacon. My favorite was the chocolate cream as it wasn't overly sweet. The earl grey had a nice strong tea flavor. The corn onion was good but I was wanting a little bit flavor. The basil bacon was good but a little too basil forward for me, if you like basil, you will like this one. I got there when they opened and unfortunately they didn't have the chocolate matcha one ready yet. Will definitely be back for more scones!

Yelp
I really want to like this place more but I think some improvements could be made! Let's start with the positive: the interior is really cute! Definitely an instagram-able cafe. I love how they did their displays too. Their cream is the true highlight! Not too sweet and helps complement the scone. You can really taste the flavor of the earl grey. Their hot lattes are also not really sweet but you can still sense the flavor they're meant to convey. Truly perfect for the Asian palate. Though their cream top ice coffee was nice in flavor as well, probably most of the drink was ice so there really wasn't much coffee to it... However, I have to say for being called "Sconers" their scones would be the focus... but unfortunately might need a little work. Upon receiving the scones, I couldn't help but notice how brown they were. After seeing the displays too, maybe that's how they're supposed to look? Took a bite into the blueberry and it was quite dry... Should've guessed from the look of the scones. Tried to eat around the middle and the outside was all the same with that dry, sandy texture that needed something to drink after each bite. And when I got to the middle, I was unfortunately disappointed. The blueberry was all on the outside and it was dense and flavorless on the inside. I can see why the cream was needed. It doesn't mask the base of the scone but surely helps. Hoping this review serves more for encouragement on working on the scone base. Once they have a good foundation on that, everything else is already wonderful as is. Sincerely wishing success to this business!

Yelp
Workers were friendly and patient with taking orders, there is a pick up window for Togo orders along with dine in. Dine in is self bussing so once you're done there is a designated cart for trays and cutlery. Interior was very esthetic similar to some themed cafes in Korea which is unique. Scones itself were on the cakes side, so if you're looking for a buttery scone this wouldn't be it (reason for the star deduction). Flavor options were very unique, my favorite was the earl grey cream scone which helped with the cakey texture of the scone. FYI, only best same day but still pretty dry and crumbly and gets very dry the next day. Tried the matcha drink and was ok, better to go nanas down the street, but the americano was good, great with the scones to wash it down and coffee was too bitter or over extracted. A good place to catch up with friends or coffee date, but limited seating so not a good place to study. Might return in the near future, but hopefully some improvements are made.

Yelp
as a scone + afternoon tea connoisseur, im so excited that there's a café that specializes in scones! super cute aesthetic and not too loud inside the shop. located where the old coffeeholic was on main street bellevue, they have yummy scones, i rly like the corn onion and lemon dill flavors! tbh i feel like it was more biscuit-y than scone-y but still delish. the raspberry jam scone was most reminiscent of a traditional scone to me; i would love if they had some clotted cream to go along with it. coffee was also pretty good and not overly sweet; i got a 24 oz latte but unfortunately more than 3/4 of the cup was ice and barely any coffee! (pic included) if yelp allowed it, i would give 4.5/5 stars.

Yelp
My mom and I decided to go try this new scone place that just opened on main street Bellevue. Did not disappoint, the scones are absolutely delicious. We each tried a savory and a sweet scone. My favorite was the Earl Grey Scone. The cream was very earl gray and not too sweet which made it perfect. We also had the house coffee. Tasted Amazing especially on a cold November day. Cant wait to try more flavors.

Yelp
Happy to have a scone place in Old Bellevue. The lemon dill scone was great. Looking forward to trying the other flavors next time.
