Google
Ridiculously good breakfast food! Enormous pancakes, crisp, buttery waffles, generously filled omelets with a huge variety of flavorful fillings. We tried the Funky Monkey waffle, Jake's Scramble, the All-In omelet, the Garden Veggie Omelet, and deep fried Deviled Eggs. We also tried a biscuit with sweet cream butter and berry compote, the breakfast potato casserole, and the creamy grits. Everything was outstanding, with the only so-so item being the deviled eggs. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to mention the in-house roasted, bottomless, french-pressed coffee! To die for! We asked if they sold the coffee in bags, but alas, not yet. All the staff, from the host to our server and everyone we passed on the way to and from our table were so friendly! We live about 2 hours away, but we are already making plans to come back! Even though it was SUPER busy with the football game going on, the wait time wasn't bad at all (maybe 30 minutes). Scrambled Jake's and their lovely staff deserve SO MUCH praise. After the first few bites we googled to look for more locations, in the hopes they were a franchise!

Google
Riley was great taking care of us. The food was phenomenal and the prices weren’t bad either. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy and they had the fireplace going. Everyone was real friendly and seemed happy to be there. We I’ll definitely be back.

Google
HOLY MARY MOTHER of homemade biscuits and egg scramblers! This place is DELICIOUS! I travel extensively and consider myself a biscuit connoisseur. Most restaurants tout “homemade” biscuits/breads/food when in reality they have frozen, pre-made food they pop into the oven, slap butter and jam on a plate and a warmed biscuit, and serve. This place is not that! Their food is made from scratch and divine! If you’re in Knoxville, make a point to get breakfast/brunch at Jake’s! You won’t be sorry you dud!

Google
Great place for breakfast, their parking is small but they do valet if needed. Price is good and portions are large. Server was awesome (wish I remember name). If you get pancakes get 1 vs 2 as they are huge.

Google
An award winning breakfast or lunch venue, for a couple or small groups. Fine dining, great service, reasonable prices. Highly Recommended. Phil B

Google
First time and it was very good! The loaded hash brown bowls are amazing! So was the cinnamon rolls!! Biscuits were also good! Would go back! Can’t forget the OJ that was awesome!

Google
Excellent breakfast place! Friendly and efficient service. Food portions are HUGE!!! You will have enough for left-overs!!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Google
Any trip to Knoxville area would be incomplete without visiting for breakfast. We come from up north a few times a year to visit and it’s a given that we’ll visit one or more times in a week. I can’t say enough about the food quality and staff here. Absolutely Awesome!

Yelp
Love this place! Came across this place tucked along small town residential area - thought we'd give it a try for our first meal of the day in TN - glad we did! Staffs were friendly and attentive. We had the best, All in Omelette (so delish), French Toasts w/ Berries, Naan Breakfast Pizza, and Knox Lox. Though I must say, please don't put too much of the dill cream cheese since it's over powering the salmon - just a little constructive criticism to the Chef Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and everything feels like it was made with heart. Best omelette and breakfast pizza we've ever tasted thus far. Their Ben-Yay's are a must to have and their freshly squeezed orange juice Happy tummies for sure.

Yelp
I'm not sure if maybe we just came in on a bad morning, but our first experience here was definitely a letdown overall. The restaurant is beautiful. Limited parking. The deviled eggs were fantastic. The rest of the food was kind of mediocre. The prices are a little high in comparison to similar places. My daughter's food came out cold twice. Both our server and the manager acted very annoyed and inconvenienced when we asked for it to be fixed and we were met with further disdain when she decided she just didn't want eat anymore. As someone who has worked in customer service for 10 years, I go out of my way to be polite to other customer service workers because I know it's difficult working with the general public. It's really not difficult to fake being polite until you can get off the floor and into the back. I doubt we'll be returning.

Yelp
We stopped by again since my husband and cousin like this place. This time I got an omelette with potatoes and it was okay. I could have used more cheese in it. The kids shared a monkey waffle with bananas and chocolate on top. My husband got avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. The avocado on the toast did not taste fresh made, it tasted more like the kind you get from a container. It was ok but not amazing. My husband liked his burrito and the kids were ok with their waffle but it wasn't their most favorite waffle ever. Our server was nice. The kitchen got the egg order wrong for my husband's cousin's family and they brought more out for them even though they said that they wanted to make sure we weren't charged for it (extra cheese) since we had been close to finishing (they got their food slower). The sin-o-man cinnamon roll was kind of dry and only a few bites of the whole thing were eaten by a table of 8 people since no one really liked it. Overall there are tons of tables and the ambiance is nice, but there needs to be more parking. The food is ok but seems overhyped. I feel like 3 is a pretty solid rating still.

Yelp
We came to Scrambled Jake's on a Sunday, and thanks to the yelp waitlist feature we saved ourselves a great amount of time by putting our name in through that and only having to wait a little when we arrived. The service was great and fast- and the food was delicious. The biscuits and gravy was my favorite by far! The grits and hashbrown casserole were also so delicious- I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Had an early morning meeting fall through and found this restaurant by sheer luck (I'm from out of town). Cheerful staff, great coffee and a nice soundtrack complimented excellent food! Fungus among us is awesome if you love mushrooms. Biscuits are delicious too! Highly recommend

Yelp
Good place for breakfast and brunch. Knoxville/Tennessee themed decor in a modern, cabin style setting. Nice menu with many choices. Food was tasty and made with good quality ingredients. Filling portions and attractive presentation. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their dishes. Service was friendly and fast. Our young server was obviously well trained and experienced. Always attentive without being a nuisance. We will be back when in the area.

Yelp
Service was amazing and food was okay, but truly miss the potato casserole!! Please bring it back.

Melanie S.

Yelp
Lovely, local restaurant! Cozy and cheer decor! Fabulous service and great selection of food and drinks! The cinnamon roll is a must have! It is large and delicious. We've had many things off of their menu, and everything is good!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is the best in Knoxville for breakfast or brunch! Everything I have ordered is tasty and top quality! The service matches the great food. Always a great experience. You can eat outside or inside and the venue is comfortable and pleasant! You have to try Jake's! It will be your favorite!

Yelp
Been a frequent visitor of Scrambled Jakes since 2018. This place is in the heart of Rocky Hill and has definitely become a well known local secret-- just check the wait time on the weekends, and you'll see just how popular this place is. Recently visited with my boyfriend and happy the wait time isn't so crazy on the weekdays as it is on the weekends. The cinnamon rolls are always a hit. I remember when they were $4.25. Now double that price. CRAZY!! ‍. I guess inflation is present here too. Our go to entree is always the all in omelette with the ranchero sauce and fried jalapeños or the breakfast burrito. Very sad to see the breakfast casserole has now changed to a hash brown casserole. Not as good. Bring back the old recipe or hand it over to the public.

Yelp
My first time at this restaurant and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's really spacious and the servers were friendly! They offered military discount even though they aren't really expensive. It was 3 of us and we were seated pretty quickly. We were initially missing 1 person from our party so we wanted to wait on her and the waitress ensured we had our drinks while we waited but kept checking in on us about every 10 minutes. Once she arrived we ordered and within 20 minutes our food arrived. I order the 2 egg breakfast which came with hash browns, grits and 2 swaggerty sausages (my coworker gave me the extra 2). My food was amazing! The grits were thicker than I'm used to but they were still REALLY good and the hash browns came out more like scalloped potatoes. I'm definitely going back!

Yelp
Great food! Great staff! Fresh squeezed juice, lots of options. Busy place, be prepared to wait a few.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is mid, just your typical breakfast spot. Service is whatever. I asked for OJ and never got it. They also told us they can't take the cheese or sour cream out of the potatoes. I'm not lactose, I just don't like dairy products. The ambience was good. Definitely won't be coming back.

Yelp
We decided to try this cute spot heading out of Knoxville, and it didn't disappoint! The parking lot was a bit jam packed, so we thought we were going to have a wait, but we actually had no wait as the restaurant is huge (full disclosure we did come on a Monday). The place is super cute and inviting inside, and makes you feel right at home! I decided to get the Jake's Favorite scrambler which came with eggs, pecan smoked bacon, onions, and tomato confit. It was topped with American cheese and baked over a potato casserole served with a biscuit on the side. I love American cheese on eggs, so I knew I'd love this dish. It was packed with flavors and just enough of every ingredient included in the dish. The biscuit was fluffy, moist, and went so well with the jam and butter! My friend got the cheese omelet, which came with aged cheddar and Gruyère, topped with Gruyère cheese and and Alfredo sauce! For me, the more cheese the merrier. Out waitress was also on top of it, and very accommodating and friendly! If you're ever in Knoxville, this is the perfect breakfast spot!

Yelp
The food is freshly homemade and delicious. Perfect portion sizes. The staff is amazing and the interior is clean and tidy. 10/10.
google avatar

Yelp
Didn't realize this was number one but I see why. Plus- ordered the keto omelet. Bacon eggs and avocado. Big and perfectly cooked. Good coffee. Could be better- Tiny narrow cups. Almost espresso sized. Hefty price.

Yelp
Brought my handicapped Mother that uses a walker, for the 1st time. The handicapped entrance is clear around the side of the building, the one close door is closed as emergency exit! The worst breakfast potatoes we've ever had, cold & flavorless, hard cold bacon. It's very obvious it's all precooked in the morning, sitting under a lamp all day. Hard to find ANYTHING prepared fresh. I complained & the waitress actually said..."well you're the 1st person to complain"...wtf. Well...good coffee & great atmosphere at least.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
The service was wonderful and the food is good! You'll be full when you leave! The cinnamon roll, and summer shine benny are my favorites!
google avatar

Errol J.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast place! His place has a modern cabin feel to it. It has large open areas, a big fireplace and even a bar that I call the Bloody Mary hangout in the corner between the two large rooms. I am not a fan of bloody Marys except here, it might be because of the swag garnish that comes with that.. I actually feel healthy when drinking it. So Good!! The other think SJ is know for is the giant cinnamon bun. All their food is amazing and you can pretty much get whatever you are craving. The place is always clean and roomy, even when there are busy. I had the savory crepe with a scratch Béchamel sauce and it was served with the seasoned hash brown casserole. The staff is so knowledgeable. He is the one who recommended me to get a small kids pancake to save money and not to get stuffed. All the servers are great at the job, they make sure you come back.
google avatar

Kristi H.

Yelp
Nice place. Stop it with the gluten free potatoes. It looks like vomit. Tastes awful. I loved this place before.
google avatar

Yelp
It is my breakfast spot of choice whenever I visit KNX. Great selection, good food and service...

Yelp
This was an AMAZING find! The food and service were fabulous! We ate outside and it was so beautiful! Don't hesitate go and try this place you won't be disappointed :)
google avatar

Yelp
So noisy you cannot hear the waitstaff inches from your ear. Plus not the most inspiring menu.

Catalina V.

Yelp
Service: Brett was great! He is so very kind, he is a great server and a happy waiter! Food: my husband had the pellissippi pig sandwich and I had the burrito... DELICIOUS! Ambiance: great atmosphere, everything was nice and clean! Thank you Brett for a great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Good breakfast/ brunch place. The inside is neat. It's a bit small, so you might have a wait but around lunch time we didn't wait at all. They don't have lunch food, so you need to be in the mood for breakfast. They also have specialty cocktails. Nice staff.
google avatar

M J.

Yelp
Told a 20-30 minutes. we waited 25 minutes. they have lots of places to sit while you wait. we had the deviled eggs...they were good. the egg benny, great. Jake's special...yummy! kids egg, bacon, and pancakes..awesome! we shared a biscuit and gravy...it was good too! they were busy but you get your food fast! would recommend. ended our weekend in Knoxville!
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
This was first time brought my family and was not only disappointed but the manger was less than professional. My daughters food came out wrong, she sent it back to be reheated and the disgust in the managers face was infuriating. Maybe take a course or two on hospitality and customer service Not impressed the prices were ridiculous for the area, and the coffee was bitter. Not worth the money or the insult.
google avatar

Veronica M.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast the other day. Service was a bit lackluster, but most of the food we were served during the meal was at last passable. Tip: This place is very close to Pop's Donuts; I suggest that you stop at Pop's if you're craving a sugar fix after your meal here. The cinnamon roles are notoriously good here; I've had them in the past and always enjoyed them, so we ordered a couple to go after breakfast - BIG mistake! When we got home and tried them, they were not only very stale, but the icing tasted terrible ;-)

Yelp
Oh my gosh!! What to say about this place?!? It's FanTastic!! Tried it for the first time on a Thursday and went back on Saturday. It's THAT good!! It's a really cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. It was raining so everyone was indoors. The hostess was friendly. We sat down and our waiter came out to help us and he was awesome!!! Super friendly! Gave us the lowdown on all the great food! I decided to not try fancy stuff and have the normal eggs and bacon and potatoes. The potatoes are amazing. Little layers of sliced potatoes with great seasoning, cooked to perfection. It came with grits, I hate grits but I figured I wouldn't eat it. When it arrived it looked different than any grits I've ever had. So I tried it. DELICIOUS!! This is the only way to prepare grits!! Tell the world!! The mushy gross grits are to be banished and Jake's grits are the Only Grits from now on!!! It was my birthday so they brought me one of their homemade cinnamon rolls. Of course...it was fabulous too!! Their coffee was fantastic!! And they make their own flavored creamer. I didn't try it, but it sounds good. They serve alcoholic beverages for those brunches and mimosa mornings. Everyone in our party loved their food. We will definitely be back!! Weekends get busy, so plan on waiting a little bit for a table. But it's worth it!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was very good and filling. The four of us that ate breakfast here were full all day and we didn't eat until super. The breakfast Barittos were very good. My wife and daughter had a breakfast bowl and loved it.

Jan B.

Yelp
This morning we went for breakfast. we had been to this restaurant six years ago and found it to be good. this time, however, the over easy eggs were over cooked so much that I couldn't cut them with a fork. the grits were way too strongly flavored with garlic salt, onion salt that they were disgusting. I asked for the bacon to be well done, and they were, to the point of being black. the potatoes had so much paprika that they were red, tasted only like garlic and onion salt In short I was not happy with anything I was given for 13.95. my friends were likewise unhappy about their food. one said the bacon was like leather. neither could eat the potatoes. we won't be going back.
google avatar

Tammy B.

Yelp
The pancakes were the best I have ever had, in fact, I bought their mix and brought it home! The Fried Deviled Eggs were out of this world! We have tried again and again to replicate them, but to no avail. The service was great, we didn't have to wait long because we chose to sit at the bar, but there was a line when we left. The bartender was very cool and made some great drinks!
google avatar

Caroline R.

Yelp
Delicious brunch spot but make sure to hop on their online waitlist because it is always busy here on the weekends! The food is delicious and in large portions so you get the bang for your buck. The cabin feel of the restaurant also makes it feel like you truly are in the hills on TN.
google avatar

Jina P.

Yelp
A solid brunch that I have had in a minute! Everything was very delicious, and the beignets were absolutely scrumptious. The French toast was also very tasty and well balanced. They were quite busy so the staff were really split between all tables. I will be back!

Gloria M.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time, we decided to go during the week as less busy than Sunday. They do have an online waitlist that you can use, but we didn't need on Monday. I got the breakfast pizza on Naan with crumbled pecan bacon mozzarella, tomato confit, spinach, 2 eggs (cooked anyway you would like) with crème friache drizzle. It came with fresh fruit or fresh greens. My husband had cinnamon French toast with link sausage. Service was wonderful, the food was delicious! We highly recommend and will definitely go back!
google avatar

Sally W.

Yelp
10:30 am and they are booming busy. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it was very good. The cinnamon roll was amazing too. Great place for 6+ groups.

Yelp
We had a fantastic brunch at Scrambled Jake's in Knoxville on a Wednesday. Our party of five was seated immediately, and the service was excellent. The breakfast burrito is a family favorite, always delicious but even better with extra sour cream. I tried the Sonora Scrambler, and it was perfect--filling yet light. Scrambled Jake's never disappoints! Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Diana J.

Yelp
This place is soooo good. Had the Bagel Benny, Ben-Yays, large OJ ( best I ever had), and the coffee. Flavors are amazing and the service top notch!!!
google avatar

Kaitlin P.

Yelp
As a southern girlie, love my southern comfort food and southern hospitality. Scrambled Jake's is a reliable brunch spot that offers the classic breakfast items, but the show stopper would have to be their giant cinnamon roll. Be warned that if you don't go early enough, they are usually sold out of their cinnamon roll, but I was lucky enough to snag one to try. It was definitely eye-catching and yummy, but leaned towards the sweeter side. If you have a big sweet tooth, this may be your cup of tea. The overall service, was phenomenal. Southern hospitality will always have a special place in my heart that can't be verbalized through words.

Angel B.

Yelp
Staff was super nice. Coffee was great I had five cups!! And they even offered me some to go!! My card declined and the waitress didn't assume I was broke but instead suggested my card was locked (it was) very mindful very demure

Yelp
This restaurant is a warm and welcoming environment. Very clean. Our food was Great. Friendly server. Will definitely return.
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
I can see why this place is voted best breakfast in Knoxville. Lots to choose from on the menu, variety of breakfast drinks, and casual atmosphere however I thought some of the features were overhyped. We decided to have the Kiss your own grits and the 2 egg breakfast. The grits were cooked perfectly and so were the eggs. I decided to add some gravy to the biscuit that the dishes came with because you can't go wrong with biscuits and gravy. The regular sausage patties were average but I thought the letdown was breakfast potatoes. I always hear how people rave about them but I didn't find them to be a crave-able breakfast feature. To me they were like a slightly elevated scalloped potatoes but not the cheesy flavorful potato casserole I typically look for with my breakfast. Our service was just average, however I'll still give it a 4 stars to give them the benefit of a doubt that some of their other featured items are just as amazing as they say

Yelp
Indigestion destination - We oped in today to try out Jake's for a breakfast and learned another good food in Knoxville lesson. First notable thing was that there is limited parking for the customers here, more inside seating and way too few parking spots to acccomodate. You can park off the restaurant site in a dirt lot next door which can help (assuming you know this trick). Our two orders were: 2 Egg breakfast w/bacon and biscuit Sonoran Scramble Coffees The place is well kept and clean, has good service and comfortable seating - all good. Our server did a great job getting us coffee and waters right away and was attentive ... and all in gets a 9 overall. Good start. Clearly there are issues with the food from a consumer standpoint .. 2 egg breakfast - it comes with potato casserole, grits, choice of meat (selected pecon smoked bacon) and a biscuit. Sounds good right ? First issue was the food was barely warm when it hit the table, the eggs appeared to be the only item not precooked then warmed. The potatoe caserole was more like scalloped potatoes scooped in a mound .. minus the ham - not a fan. The bacon looked good but the pecan taste was a turn off, can't say I was a fan at all. Grits were OK but not something I would eat twice. The jam served with the biscuit was non-discript .. rumor has it that it was strawberry - jury is still out. Sonoran Scramble - this was a train wreck, a better name would be Sonoran mash. It was difficult to ID any of the incredients and the prized topper of avacado was more mashed (ie like Chipotle). Why sun dried tomatoes are added in excess I will never know, not helpful. The taste was odd and sadly my guest got heartburn after eating only half .. this one is a no go for sure. The biscuits were dry. Needless to say inspite of the 4 star average this spot can be good for group gatherings but highly reocmmend conservative ordering techniques or BYOF please. The price is also a game stopper, $40 - pass.

Yelp
This place has great food and super friendly service. Their pecan smoked bacon is amazing and their bakery items are baked fresh daily on the premises. This place is a must try!!
google avatar

Yelp
Breakfast was very tasty. Staff very nice and helpful. If we lived closer, we would eat there often. Very clean and nicely furnished. A very nice experience.
google avatar

Robert L.

Yelp
We always bring in out of town visitors and relatives to this place. So many dishes to try. It used to be hard to get in due to its popularity but in the last few years I think they squeezed in more tables. Waiting time is not so bad now.

Kristy B.

Yelp
Food was really good and fast! Perfect for brunch!! Got the pancake with blueberries and Huevos rancheros! Yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to go for breakfast or brunch Lots of choices and very friendly and nice wait staff. From previous experience Mondays can be a pain to get seated, not sure what it is with the Knox business people and Mondays. Went yesterday Tuesday, straight in and seated

Yelp
We had some delicious take out from here for breakfast after our first night in Knoxville. It was delicious. Can't say much else since it was only take out but it was very good.
