Scrappleland

The addition of Peeps kitchen vastly improves the vibe. Not only does it have the most public pinball machines in Brooklyn it’s now also one of the few pinball bars that also has food. A downside is the bar is a little lackluster. The tap beers are $10 with limited cocktail options as far as I’m aware. All the machines are very well maintained and they regularly have the newest games on cycle. Lots of seating and TVs if you just want to hang out. The chicken was awesome as well.

This review is for the pinball games only. First great selection of games. TWO Godzilla's! Pretty much all of my favorites (aside from rare games that I don't expect most places to have). Almost all of the games take dollar bills, so bring a stack of singles (a few games are quarters only). $1/game. It would be nice if they were 3 games for $2 as many places do. There were some issues, however. First some Stern games were not configured or hooked up to the internet so you couldn't scan your QR code to keep track of your games. Some did work, so it seems they were just lazy on setting them up. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. Some games were not set up great, for example, Indiana Jones was so sensitive to nudging it made the game unplayable (if you play this game you know that you can nudge the game on the right drain to get it to bounce through the door to the flippers). If they fix the maintenance/setup issues on the games I'd give this place 5 stars. As is it's a 3-4 star pinball place.

Obviously the new (and hopefully all-time) premier pinball location in the world and the best in NYC, i feel lucky to have access to this place. Scrappleland in greenpoint is worth the transit ride and short walk. I can spend all day here. it is a real privilege to play such beautiful machines. The variety and condition of the machines is what you'd expect from a museum, but better. The people here are incredible, smart, funny, talented and sportsmanship in competitions is fun and exhilarating. Pinball Leagues happen regularly which are cheap enough to enter and play, the crew running it and the regular players are so warm and compassionate toward new people, NYE celebration here was the best one of my life. Lifelong friends to be found! Truly a refuge and sanctuary for people who love pinball. Welcoming, inclusive, very chic and cool environment. I love the scenery and decor, and the machines are just unbelievably maintained, rare, some of the best machines in the world. Of course, all supported by good people. The space is perfectly sized to accommodate 5 dozen machines and counting, the most in NYC, and it is so exciting to be part of this new developing pinball history. Check their event calendar, go play any day, you will meet such great people. Guaranteed. i would be delighted if a membership thing was ever offered to subscribe to events/unlimited or timed play, but i dont mind the dollar per game. It is definitely worth the cost though, even if you are a noob like me you can get a couple hours of pinball for <=$20. i love supporting a place like this so that is great. Scrappleland rocks. Pinball is a buck a game, which isn’t too bad, and the service and drinks were great. Very nice of them to have free games too. Going to come back to hang out on the rooftop, which we missed out on this time.

Extensive selection of pinball machines, well maintained, and clean! Great priced food and drinks, rooftop with great views and second bar. Service is also awesome.

I had an awesome time last night. 30 pinball machines, some super rare, some in insanely good condition (I’m looking at you Medieval Madness with a new playfield), something special about every single one of them. Great bar service and $5 Narragansett!

I was sad to see Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co go, but this is a great use of the space. Nice selection of beer and friendly staff. And like, every kind of pinball machine you can imagine.

I came here to have wings. The wings were delicious. The space was nice with old school arcade games. I had a great time. The staff is nice and the space is big. The only downside is there were alot of kids, the kids were small around five or so. So if you have kids and like to be around them then this is fine. I did not mind the kids but my friend kept getting bumped and kicked by them so... The chicken was great, crispy and juicy. I would go back to try the other items.

Very cool, spacious pinball bar! They have decently priced beers and a rooftop with picnic table seating and a pretty, decorative stained glass water tower. Great place for group get togethers, dates, etc. Each pinball machine costs $1 to play in quarters, and they have a change machine, so plan accordingly. Note that there are no dogs allowed (besides service animals). That being said, this spot has a sister bar down the street that's "speakeasy" style in the back of a laundromat (so significantly smaller), Sunshine Laundromat, and you are allowed to bring dogs there. (They have a small yard in the back too.)

They've got a ton of current and classic pinball machines. Some machines need to be leveled out though. The beer election is pretty good as well. I will be returning for sure.

Side note, Scrappleland is named after one of the owner's dogs Scrapple (and not the bad Pennsylvania Dutch pork product.) Anyway, I was here recently after a long long walk with a group of others. They opened a week or so ago in the old Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. location and are from the same folks behind Sunshine Laundromat and like them, they have a large collection (around 30) of pinball machines. I tried the Flagship Brewing Co.'s Wolf Hound nitro stout for $10 which is apparently from Staten Island. The beer was light at 4% ABV with a good creamy mouthfeel and was an easy drink. It was slightly sweet but not too much so and was pretty tasty. The people in front were very friendly giving samples before buying with me also trying the KCBC Victory Crush fruited sour which was a bit sweet for my liking. Along with beers, there's some other drinks along with some snacks and as mentioned, a whole lot of pinball machines along with a few other arcade games such as a Pac-Man Battle Royale Chompionship. I can imagine them becoming quite crowded when the weather gets warmer but they seem to be doing good business already. They also have a pinball league already (on Facebook.)

5 stars! These rare pinball machines are both works of art and electro-mechanical engineering all coming together for you to have a blast. It's so rare for so many to be in one place these days. What a gem. Friendly staff. Good beer. Games. Food. What more can you ask for?

I went to this bar recently and I thought it was great. It's a chill non-pretentious neighborhood vibe. Was never a pinball person but had a lot of fun dabbling with a few machines and hanging out with friends. I have gone back multiple times after because I had a good experience. For some reason before I walk up to the bar, I remix a verse of that shitty Nicki Minaj Big Sean song (A$$) in my head which is random (remix lyrics below): Scrappledy scrappin, scrap scrap, scrappin. This place is so phat that the flipper's fingers be throbbin. Top flipper ring leaders scores high on the meters. Somebody point me to the Dorito's feedeeeeer. Also people accidentally leave unplayed games in the machines and you can walk around like a Gypsy and play games on the machines for free if you are lucky. Anyway place is legit and it is kid friendly with lots of board games as well.

Finally got to visit Scrappleland - a new pinball spot in Greenpoint! Brought to you by the team who created Sunshine Laundromat this place is home to many well-maintained and high end pinball machines (Limited Edition models, and for my visit, the first Evil Dead pinball machine I have had a chance to flip!) The staff working were super friendly and I had a few beers while I was playing pinball. There was a league night going on so the vibe was pretty lively and it's open to all skill levels in case you are interested in joining a pinball league or learning more about it. Definitely looking forward to visiting again next time I am back in NYC!

Great place for pinball, good beer and awesome wings. Fantastic variety of games in excellent condition, and looked like more were being added/set-up. Extremely friendly staff, as well. Casual vibe, not too sweaty/intense for casual and series flippers alike. Would highly recommend.

Pretty amazing spot - playing pinball on REALLY nice machines and learning all the rules is actually really fun - this is like a pinball museum and a really great space to also just hang out and play some board games and drink some great beer - the owner is an incredibly nice guy as well - this is a very special spot and something different from every other bar in NYC - the community should support creative places like this - well done

Visited today for the first time and it was awesome!! Nice beer selection and all the machines were working and even the older ones had cool upgrades I hadn't seen before. plus I love that you can actually hear the pinball machines. Great rooftop to hangout on too!

You cannot beat this for pinball in NYC. Great well-maintained machines, great service, and a fun atmosphere.

Absolutely solid. I normally try to hit an arcade when I travel and this looked like the best in NYC from what I could tell from Pinballmap. And it sure appeared that way. Amazing modern selection of well-maintained machines. Lots of brand new releases as well. This may very well be the best pinball location in all of NYC.
