"We can think of not just one, but two reasons to grab a beer at Scrappleland, a cavernous spot from the Sunshine Laundromat team. The first is their pleasant roof deck, which inherits the stained-glass water tower from when this space used to be Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. But depending on where you fall on the outdoor-to-indoor cat spectrum, the downstairs might be the bigger draw. It features not one, not two, not seven, but a glorious 28 pinball machines, the most we’ve seen in one place in the city. For now, at least, you can bring in your own food to Scrappleland, and they pour both interesting locally made beers and $4 Bud Light drafts at the bar. This place would make for a great low-key hang destination with friends, or a unique setting for date night with a built-in gear shift. Just in case quiet conversation suddenly feels less appealing than chiming bells and flashing lights. photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff photo credit: Alex Staniloff Pause Unmute" - Molly Fitzpatrick
