"The Scullery is a little nook of a coffee shop with a smattering of outdoor seating, and the thrum of traffic booming on Geary Street outside. The team at this cafe is tuned into the specialty coffee world, serving East Bay favorite Mother Tongue Coffee and top-tier toast, too. This shop is a favorite example of phenomenal fare and high-end coffee in the Tenderloin." - Paolo Bicchieri

"Right down the street from Angel Café, Alkhanshali beelines to this craft coffee shop. He walks the streets and shakes hands with baristas and sleepy coffee drinkers like he is the ambassador of the Tenderloin (and Yemen simultaneously). Every conversation is a chance for him to brief would-be enthusiasts of Yemeni coffee. Luckily for him, the team at Scullery, a coffee shop that looks like a Scandinavian woodshed popping up out of the blue, is very on board with the concept. The shop is uber-small, just a few stools and two outdoor seating arrangements, but the coffee makes itself the star of the small stage. Andre, a chipper and bearded barista, seems fully confident to whip up an oat milk variant on a Vietnamese coffee or pull a divine shot on the shop’s Seattle-made Slayer espresso machine. This multi-roaster (a shop that showcases other coffees rather than roasting their own) shows off Mother Tongue beans from Oakland, makes a mean avocado toast, and might just be a destination for Port of Mokha coffee someday if Alkhanshali has anything to do about it. “I never thought I’d see a Slayer in the Tenderloin.” Alkhanshali sighs." - Paolo Bicchieri

Blink and you might miss this quaint breakfast spot. Coffee on point and many different types of toast to choose from. I got the smoked salmon toast and was far from disappointed. The quality of the bread truly struck me. One warning: this place is small. Maybe five people can fit inside comfortable. Not for big crowds.

Undeniably one of the best in SF! What started as a super convenient caffeination within a short walk from our hotel turned into a daily routine for the duration of our stay in the city. Amazing esthetic, friendly and helpful customer service, great coffee and the icing on the cake is the incredible menu with a European twist offering a unique array of breakfast toasts! The Yorkie (personal sized Yorkshire pudding with ham + egg) also did not disappoint. Definitely a new tradition for our future trips to SF.

The vanilla latte was smooth and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with the delicious avocado toast, topped with a perfectly cooked egg, it was a breakfast worth savoring. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was friendly and efficient.

absolutely delectable, the salmon mash was one of the greatest things i’ve ever tasted, a true delicacy (the other items were delicious too but that one takes the cake)! wonderful presentation and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is also really cool, and the lamp shades are made from rulers!

Tiny spot for coffee and some baked goods. Enjoyed the cold brew and the croissant. The staff was super friendly.

Firstly, great espresso-based coffee - flat white was on the money, beans nice medium roasted, subtle discernible flavours and well prepared, though I did need an extra shot of espresso to get the strength I’m used to - interpretations of a Flat White around the world stretch from totally misunderstood to ‘I read the recipe’. We’re damn close here. Welsh Rarebit is not something I get everyday in Copenhagen so I gave it a try. Not what I grew up with in boarding school thankfully, very tasty, great toast, well prepared.

A coffee shop so good I went for all 3 days on my city visit. The bread they use for the “toast” dishes is incredible. Best avocado toast you ever will have. The burnt caramel latte is fantastic and not too sweet. The cortado is very good as well.

A nice little café where it's best to get your things to go. There are a few seats inside and two outside. I wouldn't recommend eating outside as there were unpleasant smells when we were there. The food was solid. I had the Creamy Cheese Toast and my buddy had a Chocolate Croissant. My espresso was not to my taste and I would therefore not recommend it.
