Honestly was really good as you can see. Chicken was perfectly cooked as you cannot see because I ate all of it. The pita as well was so fluffy and soft I never thought pita could be that amazing and moist. They loaded me up with veggies too, broccolini was perfectly tender

Great pizza! Got the margarita and pepperoni. Super cute atmosphere when we went for pick up. Next time I want to dine in and try other foods.

5 stars. Good food. Clean calm atmosphere. Outstanding staff, Nick keeps the place running smooth. Well worth any wait time and any minor hiccups. Give this place a solid try and you will be pleased. FYI pizza slices rock!! Order b4 3pm though

This is a new favorite of mine. I loved the atmosphere. My daughter loved seeing kids books available to read. I order the souvlaki platter and it was delicious. Large portion. The fries were crispy and yummy. The Taziki sauce was incredible and fresh. Chicken was AMAZING and very flavorful. Everything was a 10. A table near me had slices of pizza and they were HUGE and I could hear the table talking about how yummy they were. I will definitely be back. My server was very kind and attentive. I am looking forward to going again. Lunch pricing is great especially for the portion size.

Google
Ordered from Doordash. Everything was bland, and the fries and mozzarella sticks were stale. The portions were relatively small for the price. The baklava cheesecake was pretty good, but again quite small. Definitely overrated.

We ate at Scuola for the first time a couple of months ago and it is my new favorite place! I have tried quite a few things on their menu and have loved them all. Their Chicken Marsala, Chicken Souvlaki and their pizza are my favorites, but I also really like their flaming cheese appetizer and onion rings. We have always had great service as well.

We stopped here for dinner while visiting the area. We ordered the Scuola pizza. The pizza was delicious and full of flavor. The sauce was excellent and the thin crust was perfectly cooked. We tried several of the Swamp Head beers which was ice cold, nice and refreshing The location was easy to find and restaurant nicely decorated with plenty of seating. The staff was nice and friendly and very attentive. Overall we has a great dinning experience

Google
Great food. Great atmosphere. My husband got the chicken parmesan and I got the cheese ravioli. The servings were big enough that we both took some of ours home. I highly recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't been there yet. Bill (the owner) is very kind and welcoming to everyone!

Yelp
We went in for a quick bite and had a pizza. Their pizzas are thin crust, which I usually don't order, but it ended up being better than anticipated. The service was good and the ambiance was relaxed but had plants to look at. I've also had their chicken pita and it is also very delicious.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for lunch. They have one door for takeout and another for the sit-down part. The decor was nice and clean. The pictures on the walls confused us because they were about reading and math. They also had books to read for the kids. Once we realized Scuola means School in Italian that made sense. Also we were expecting typical Italian options. This is more of a Mediterranean menu with many Greek choices to compliment the Italian choices. We started with a side of meatballs (SHHH! not on the menu). They were very good and would order again. We then got a large Lil Sicily. Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Ricotta Cheese, Oregano and Basil. Loved the crust. A large was too large for two so next time we will get a regular. But looking forward to leftovers. While the name says school its a definite date night location for us in the near future. We look forward to tasting some Greek when we we do.

Yelp
It had been a while since we ate here, so needed to do an updated review.Their menu has grown immensely since the last time we ate here. It's good to see that the place is getting still a lot of business. Friendly staff check in on us several times making sure we had everything. The music playing gave it that mediterranean feel. Food came out hot, the flaming cheese, which I forgot to take a photo of was good as I remembered it. I decided to try the meatball sub, which was a new item on the menu very tasty.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The garlic broccolini is to die for! Service is great and the atmosphere is such a neat theme!

Yelp
The pizza here is delicious and they have some really fun flavors! The prices aren't bad for how much you get also. The ambiance is nice with cute decorations. The service was great as well. I recommend the melizana pizza which has eggplant on it, so yummy!

Yelp
May have been better if we hadn't gotten takeout, so I don't want to put the restaurant down too much. I really prefer to eat in for a full experience. This pizza place came highly recommended, and everyone wanted to swim, so the consensus was takeout. I have lots of pictures, as we had a large group of people eating. We were told that the gyro pizza was fantastic, so we ordered 3. Again, large group. We were also told to order medium instead of large so they would cook better. Our order was very expensive and pretty good. I would probably eat there again. I ordered a medium with ham, onion and fresh mozzarella (a must). I tried the Greek pizza, Greek salad and the gyro meat was delicious. The pasta was definitely al dente, but both the Cajun and regular sauce tasted, well, uneventful. Just not much flavor. I definitely would not order any of their pastas again. My son got the caperese salad with gyro meat and it may have shifted in transport, but was extremely lackluster. I actually thought they forgot to put the salad in because it didn't look like a salad at all. This seems like a bad review, but my food was good, give it a try and eat in. Overall, I would go back and eat at the restaurant, so I give it a thumbs up. I'd want the gyro Greek salad and the pizza I ordered again.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Best pizza in Gainesville! Such a nice ambiance, very friendly and attentive staff, clean bathroom. Reasonable prices. We couldn't find a single complaint. My husband who tries to find fault in every restaurant, could fine one. We will be bath. Definitely try the hot honey pizza.

Yelp
1- Parking and surroundings, I always look for the parking areas of the place, you do want to know in advance if parking is available and if it feels safe. Located close to the Northwood area, this is North West Gainesville, and parking is available. 2- The ambiance and decoration is very nice, offering a vintage, quiet and relaxed place for dinning. 3- Location- I was attracted to this place by the pizza sign on the outside and living in Gainesville for more than 19 years, and less than 4 miles away, I thought I would give it a try. 4- As soon as I saw the menu, I changed my mind and tried one of the the Mediterranean dishes. The Santorini Chicken, with garlic broccolini. The Santorini Chicken is seasoned and charbroiled, served with a tomatoes and fresh Mozzarella, accompanied by a bed of rice pilaf. Cooked perfectly as the name implies (charbroiled), the broccolini maybe a little bit too soaked in the oil and garlic, but nonetheless I liked it. The rice pilaf was so tasteful, which I enjoyed it very much. I am very satisfied with the taste and quality of the food. I will return. The experience is more than what I was hoping. I'm hoping for more restaurants in Gainesville like this. 5- Service was awesome, the server would check up on us, every now and then. 6- Overall this will be one of my places to visit more often, affordable, quiet, delicious mediterranean dishes, in my make believe ratings from 1 to 10, it an 8.5 for me.

Yelp
We were visiting Gainesville for the weekend and stumbled upon this great restaurant. Wonderful staff and location. The food was fantastic! We ended up visiting twice. The kids menu was wonderful. Even in a Friday at lunch when it was busy they were very accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Scuola Pizza is a great place to eat out, their Margherita Pizza was spot on, highly recommend.

Yelp
We were seated immediately which was great. "Scuola" is Italian for "school" so there were a lot of little school related pieces around the restaurant for decor. The seating is a bit uncomfortable as there are no cushions. Our server, Austin, took our order and quickly got us drinks. The sweet tea tasted funny so I exchanged it for sprite. That sprite hit harder than McDonalds, very refreshing. Not long after placing the order our appetizer arrived. The Ravioli Fritti was't bad but they could have been better; we didn't like the mozzarella sticks last time and these were no different. It's like the breading has no flavor. About 2 minutes into eating our appetizer, our meals arrived. We both got 8" personal pizzas and they were good. Flavorful and cheesy! Also, got a side order of fries and we enjoyed them. The food was good just as it was a couple months ago. Our server was excellent. Austin was quick and attentive. He frequently checked on us and is very upbeat. Great service! I saw a flyer on the table for a chance to win free pizza. I applied for it while waiting for our food and got a coupon code for $5 off the meal before the check came. I used it. That was cool.

Yelp
We have loved the pizza from this place for a long time, both dining, pick up and order via DoorDash. I had tried the souvlaki chicken before and it was delicious so I wanted to try the salmon. Glad I did! It is now one of my favourite go to dishes. Eating in the restaurant is also top-notch because service is always fantastic.

Yelp
I have been to this little restaurant a couple of times and each time has been absolutely wonderful. The service is out of of this world. They are attentive and anticipate your needs. The food is great their lunch specials. The pieces of pizza were huge and absolutely delicious. The cream spinach is wonderful and the Greek salad is huge and delicious.

Yelp
We spent a Saturday in Gainesville, FL and for dinner we stopped by Scuola Pizza. "Scuola" is Greek for school or institution. The restaurant has a neat classroom motif. They even have an old middle-school clock with the bars over the face of it. Scuola Pizza offers a menu of signature pizza pies, classic Italian and Greek dishes. For the app, we got the calamari. But these weren't your little frozen squid rings. These were huge squid bracelets. They were tender, crispy, and delicious. Paired with a slightly spicy marinara and it was perfect. For the main, we got the large prosciutto pizza. A beautiful crust topped with sauce, basil, fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, and an amount of prosciutto that bordered on illegal. The pie overall, was delicious, but, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, it had too much prosciutto. Prosciutto, in its natural state, is a smooth, slightly salty snack. A staple charcuterie board item. Cooked prosciutto intensifies that saltiness and is still delicious, but in smaller doses. A whole pizza filled with cooked prosciutto? Delicious in some bites, overly salty in others. A lighter touch on the prosciutto would definitely be appreciated. Aaand I said prosciutto waaay too much. The overall meal and restaurant were great and I would definitely visit again and try the Greek side of the menu.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere and every dish is very delicious. Their pizzas are also amazing specially the Scoula pizza. Just has it the other day and it was great. Have been there numerous times and it worths the visit each time. Highly recommend it

Yelp
After reading several reviews, I decided to make a stop here for a nice warm slice. I went in on a Tuesday afternoon, so it was nice and quiet. The host at the front was very warm and welcoming and gave me the rundown and recommendations of Scuola. I wanted something light/non meat option so I opted in for a classic pizza, the margherita. And you can't go wrong with that! The host/waiter was super attentive to my needs and once the pizza arrived, I was in heaven. First off, the 12'' pie is perfect for you and a friend, however since I was by myself, so I decided to be greedy. The pizza came out pipping hot from the oven and the cheese...that was the highlight for me. The cheese with the basil on top was picture perfect - like a stereotypical pizza commercial. The crust was very light and flaky and it didn't make me feel bloated like most pizza places. The sauce tasted very homemade and has the good amount of Italian herbs added in. Let me get back to the cheese because the cheese pull that came from this pizza, expanded for at least a mile long....ok I'm exaggerating but you needed to stand up for this cheese pull it end. I was shocked! From the friendly service to the fresh ingredients - I will definitely be back to revisit this place with a friend or solo to try out more food options!

Yelp
The food was excellent! I had the Gyros platter and the wife had the Shrimp carbonara, The gyros was nicely seasoned and the tzatziki sauce was some of the best I ever had. My wife said every bite of the shrimp carbonara was a flavor feast. We were well satisfied. Service was great and the staff was polite and attentive without being annoying or pushy. Nicholas was knowledgeable of the menu and helped the wife with making her selection. The ambiance was nice with music playing softly in the background and not so loud that diners could not talk softly together. The decor was appropriate for the restaurant's Mediterranean theme. A very enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious with cheese ooozing everywhere and a nice crispy crust. Between the quality and the service I would come back once a month.

Dieter M.

Yelp
Today one of my favorite lunch spots lost its 5 star rating. The food, service and ambience were superb. Unfortunately, they lost 2 stars for their lack of payment method and removing my favorite item from their lunch menu. I was unable to pay with a tap card using my phone. Disappointed is an understatement. I can get over removing my favorite item, but not having the ability to accept payment is unrealistic in today's business model.

Yelp
I placed a take out order this evening around 5:15, to be picked up at 7:15. I arrived at 7:15, and was so disappointed to find my pizza and bread sticks stone cold. I guess they made my order right when I placed it, and then let it sit out for 1.5 hours? If you cannot prepare a future order to be ready at the agreed time, then don't offer this feature. I was so excited to try this place for the first time, but I'm over it now.

Yelp
Scuola is our current go-to pizza place. Pizza quality and service have always been very good.

Yelp
AMAZING place for food! Call me ignorant, but I didn't realize this was a greek/pizza place- which made this such a nice surprise when we went! I was expecting just pizza, but the Greek addition is what made this place so great for me. I love the Mediterranean flair the whole menu had. We had flaming cheese to start, which was both fun and a yummy app. Our mains included the Scoula pizza for my parents (they got a "small"), the prosciutto pizza for my fiancée (he got a large), and the chicken soulvaki for me. The pizza style is very unique- I'd say similar to thin crust but not to a point that its a cracker. The toppings really make it stand out! The scoula pizza was my favorite between the two, with a good balance of toppings, sauce, cheese, and crust. It is a very "familiar" pizza flavor. The prosciutto was very salty, so not my favorite. However, I love how generous they are with the toppings. My chicken soulvaki was DELICIOUS. I love Greek food, so I think I found my go to Greek place now! Our server, Jordan, was am absolute pleasure as well. She was quick with our orders, was very friendly, and our food came out very quick too. This may be a "me" thing, but I also really liked the menu- it was on wood, so it was sturdy and easy to read. I appreciate that detail, and the overall ambiance of the place was also a nice surprise. We will def be coming back for either pizza or Greek food soon!

Yelp
We started with a Greek salad had lettuce in it which was odd but it was fresh and the feta cheese saved it then we had calamari which was really tender but the portion was small and finally we had the Athena pizza it was fresh and very tasty but a little under cooked

Yelp
What a great spot for lunch! We popped in on a Saturday and got to try the lunch versions of two specialties. The service was outstanding and it was a quiet place to take our time enjoying the food.
google avatar

Yelp
The bread had no taste and was stale. I had the chicken souvlaki and it didn't have a good flavor. My 3 friends and I agreed that the food was not very good. Would not recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I were on a weekend trip to Gainesville and we're looking for some lunch. We found Scuola Pizza on Yelp so decided to give it a try. What a great find! The service was friendly and the menu was full of options. We started with the bread which was amazing. Just a simple fresh load topped with a light butter and garlic baste paired with softened butter. We were thankful a second load was offered as the first one didn't last long. I ordered the chicken parm while my wife had the lasagna. As we waited we enjoyed overhearing our server chat with a regular customer about his trips to Greece and how her pets were doing. It was nice to hear such a good, honest conversation between staff and a customer. The portion sizes were quite large and the food was very good. The only thing that threw us off a but was finding the sauce to be very sweet, almost too much so for our liking. Was it enough for us to not return? No and we did take our leftovers home (I mentioned the large portions). With 'pizza' being in the name I think we expected more of an Italian flavor rather than one provided by the Greek menu offerings. It wasn't a bad thing, just something unexpected. Scuola has a nice, calming atmosphere, good food and a pleasant staff. It was definitely worth the stop.

Yelp
First time visit, waitress was great had everything we needed for a good meal, Jordan ( thank you) had a Greek salad and it was delicious and the pizza we ordered was full of meat and baked to perfection! Loved every bite. Got the 12 in and it was huge for two of us. Nice big portion! We will be back!

Yelp
Didn't know about them till yesterday! Food was good, ambience casual and friendly. Overall a good night with friends. I had Chicken Parmesan and the chicken was delicious. The spaghetti sauce had a kind of cinnamon taste I wasn't expecting. The Greek salad was outstanding! Cool and crisp and a great dressing. I had the beet salad as well because I love beets and heard good things about the dish. It wasn't my favorite thing. My friend had the chicken Marsala and it was great! My hubby was disappointed in his gyros platter - the tzatziki sauce was bland and the meat dry. But overall it was a nice meal. Staff were wonderful. Oh and the flaming cheese is worth getting just for the flaming at the table!
google avatar

Delia S.

Yelp
I had heard pretty good reviews but unfortunately this place did not live up to the mark. What's great about this place is that it's fairly quick, the employees are kind, and the best part, you can half and half specialty pizzas. I opted for 16in half Spartan half Big Nick. While the big Nick was okay, the Spartan left much to be desired. The meats have a strange taste that I couldn't overcome. The crust was a bit burnt and tasteless. Some butter or something would be great. A plus is that neither were greasy. The baklava cheesecake is definitely not worth 7$. I was quite disappointed. It was incredibly small, and the dessert just didn't come together well. At least it wasn't deathly sweet. Even with a coupon,, a pizza and cheesecake sent me back 26$. I'm glad there are becoming more choices on the NW side of town, but the quality needs improving.

Savannah S.

Yelp
Food was very good with excellent service! I would definitely recommend! There is a wide range of food, from burgers to Greek classics to pizza.

Yelp
One of the hidden gems of Gainesville! We especially like the prosciutto pizza and wings! 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
Scuola is a wonderful and rare Italian experience. I have not enjoyed such authentic Italian cuisine in a long time. Highly recommended! God Bless!

Yelp
Nothing to write home about but maybe I got something that wasn't their specialty. Got the margherita pizza and mozzarella sticks with waffle fries. I was confused because the only thing that tasted fresh were the waffle fries. Might try one of their sandwiches when I come back . Tiramisu had a watery taste and no coffee flavor .. more cream than anything . I couldn't even see the lady fingers. It was a sad excuse for a tiramisu (shameless plug Mia's in orlando has by far the best tiramisu I've ever had). I am not sure how long they've been in business but I hope they step away it up because I know Gainesville doesn't have the best pizza places but I know people would rather try another place if they had the experience I had . Pretty lack luster honestly but willing to give them another try a few months later.

Liz M.

Yelp
Wonderful food service & decor is so appealing & interesting. We like the vegan choices. It is a unique & convenient place for our family.

Tammie S.

Yelp
My son and I love Scuola's! The food is terrific and the servers are very attentive. For my son, he orders the exact same thing every time we go, but he never has to give them his order. All the servers know what he orders, including his drink, and take very good care of him. I love the aesthetic of the restaurant. They stick with the "school" theme with the posters hanging around the restuarant. The collage on the back wall is a thing of beauty. It may seem a little pricey, but for the amount of food you get it's well worth it.
google avatar

Sofia A.

Yelp
Great place for pizza near Gainesville. The atmosphere was great, beautiful decorations, very aesthetic. Service was 10/10 quick and always around. The pizza was good, but not as crispy as I like. We ordered the prosciutto one, the Melizana, and a build your own all 12". Great place overall

Desiree F.

Yelp
Service was great. My husband loved the pizza. It was good. Nice quiet setting. It's a small little restaurant but seems to stay busy- so you know they are doing something right.

Sharon J.

Yelp
Great food & service & loved the atmosphere & decor. If you like wings, theirs are excellent

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. We have been RVing all over this country and this was without a doubt some of the best food we have had. First I must say we are true foodies... so we are not ok with JUST OK! I had read the reviews for Scoula and knew we had to try it. The lasagna was the best he has ever had.. it was a combination of Italian with a hint of cinnamon which is in a Greek Lasagna called PASTISIO! Absolutely blew him away.. he also enjoyed a red Greek wine. I had the pizza and it was equally as good... our server Savannah was spot on too.. loved her.. not pushy but checking back to be sure all was wonderful.. and it was!! Please please please TREAT YOURSELF TO THIS FABULOUS RESTAURANT.

Yelp
I haven't love-loved every meal, but tbf, I'm not a huge fan of Greek cuisine. HOWEVER, best fricken chicken sandwich I've had in Gainesville. Amazing. Chicken sandwiches are important to me. Oh-- and I can't forget the owner. Kindest man ever, great conversationalist. If I was hungry and nearby, I'd eat at Scuolo's just to say hello to him.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
We went to Scoula for lunch one day while on this side of town. I had the Gyro which comes with a few fries on the sandwich and beet salad as my side. Hubs had a 12 inch pizza with sausage and reminded us of V pizza downtown with double zero flour! Very good. The decor is very cute but I don't know that it fits the style of food they serve but that doesn't necessarily matter to us. Lunch was about $35 for 2 meals and 2 drinks but very good! We would definitely go back

Ted F.

Yelp
Good food and good service. Pizza and gyro are both good choices. Really like the sweet potato waffle fries.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Scuola Pizza. I must say I left a bit disappointed with my visit. I saw they had 2 tortellini dishes that I believe were new menu items. One was listed a tomato tortellini and the other was called Pestortellini. I LOVE pesto tortellini so that's what i ordered. When it was brought to my table, I was confused because it wasn't green. I picked up my plate, walked toward the kitchen and asked the waiter to make sure that she put my order in correctly as the pesto one. She confirmed and said it was the pesto. So I sat down and took a few bites. I could not taste any hint of a basil pesto at all. When she asked how everything was, I told her that I didn't taste any pesto and that the menu said there was chicken as well, but that was also not in my dish. She told me the pesto was "mixed up in there", and stated that during lunch they remove the chicken to adjust for lunch price. I didn't see any mention of this lunch special clarification on the menu, but I understood. The dish overall tasted ok, but I most certainly wouldn't have ordered this if I would've known it wasn't basil pesto. I have never seen a tortellini pesto dish that wasn't green :( I also ordered the baklava cheesecake and didn't care for it. If I plan to try this place again, I think I'll try the pizza instead of pasta.

Yelp
I looked at reviews for pizza and Scuola showed up as highly rated so I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered over the phone. The process was simple and the guy on the phone was polite. I appreciated the phone courtesy. It took 25 minutes from order to me walking away with 2 pizzas. Fast! The pizza made the van smell great on the drive home. I ordered the Bianca Bacon and a Scuola pizza. Both were fantastic in taste. I was disappointed with the amount of toppings on the Scuola. I ordered it with 3extra toppings and I could still see the crust from the top. Smell and taste were great, it just needed more substance. The Bianca Bacon was great. I would not have expected anything else from a 4.5 star reviewed pizza place. My daughter said it was one of the best pizzas ever. The restaurant looked clean to me, so that gives me some comfort in knowing that the kitchen is likely clean as well.

Yelp
Food quality is okay, can be hit or miss. Their pizza is solid overall, and I like the chicken souvlaki. They have made a couple small mistakes with our order so I would make sure to double-check your order before leaving.
google avatar

Sara T.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today. We ordered the chicken souvlaki comes with a salad and one side for 14.95, Keftedes comes with a salad and one side $13.95, kids meal chicken tenders for $5.95. Food was good but still needs some work on presentation, prices slightly high.Looking forward to coming back to try their pizza. Would like to see a lunch menu. I would definitely recommend you try the Baklava Cheesecake.

Yelp
I was excited to finally get an Italian place that was locally owned. My husband and I visited a few weeks after they opened and really enjoyed our meal. The décor in this place is amazing. I love the nod to the philosophers and all the great astrology theme. The floors ad tables re beautiful too. Menu items had a great variety from salads to pizza. i loved that the pizza is coked in a stone oven it gives a better flavor. We got the teak and cheese pizza on this visit and it was delicious. It even had real steak on it. Prices and portion is a great value and taste was mouth watering. My only complaint was service. It was a little slow even though they were not busy. My waiter didn't really pay close attention. I asked for napkins several times before I got them. Plus I asked for a refill 3 times which I never got. Other than service this place is amazing and I look forward to many more visits.

Teresa S.

Yelp
Delicious and amazing fast service I enjoyed the Greek salad and scuola pizza. The server was so sweet and good came out fast and very fresh. The pizza had a nice crust and a large amount of toppings.

Yelp
Enough for 2 ppl or two meals If you have sides. I wish there were purple onions, oregano, or greens for more Greek flavor. Meat and feta were generous. I would like to try it with tzaiki next time. It's not quite a thin crust. Which is nice. I got it for takeout but the service was still good.
