Where do I begin? This isn’t your average hotel restaurant serving just hotel guests. This is a million-dollar, five-star dining experience with stunning views! It deserves to be a destination in itself, attracting visitors specifically for the food. From the ambiance, music, and jazz nights to the exceptional cuisine and staff, everything is top-notch. Make sure to ask for the complementary bread, to die for.. we ordered it twice. Plus, you get validated parking! Enjoy a meal in La Jolla without the hassle of street parking—just luxurious convenience! This is my 3rd time at the place. Never disappoint!

Wow. Amazing food and what a view. Recommend getting a reservation 1 hour before sunset to really enjoy it. Very upscale food and service. Very nice bar area. This would be a perfect place to have a date with someone you really want to impress. It’s on the top floor of the Hotel La Jolla so you have to park there. They charge for parking but will validate if you eat there. Denis was our server and he was amazing. Recommend the strip steak, scallops and crab cake. Had chocolate mousse for dessert. Wow. Very pricy dinner but totally worth it! Highly recommend. Will revisit.

We came up to the restaurant to use our food credit from our hotel stay, and wow—the view was absolutely breathtaking! I wish I had known about it sooner because we definitely would have dined here the night before. We were seated right away, but unfortunately, it took over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Other tables around us were seated after us and managed to place their orders before we did, which was frustrating. That said, the food made up for it. Breakfast was delicious, and sipping coffee while taking in the stunning view was the perfect way to start the day. If the service had been quicker, it would have been an all-around perfect experience!

I recently visited Sea and Sky in La Jolla at its opening weekend on May 17 and was thoroughly impressed with the multimillion dollar penthouse restaurant renovation. The ambiance is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, with stunning views that elevate the dining experience. The seafood is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, particularly the sea bass. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. Whether for a special occasion or a casual dinner, Sea and Sky is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

What a great addition to the culinary scene of La Jolla! We heard about the opening of the newly renovated Sea & Sky restaurant, so we had to try it. We ordered the crab cake appetizer (lots of crab and great flavor), and for the main dishes the scallops, and what had turned out to be the best snapper I’ve ever had! The whole experience was exceptional. Definitely coming back, worth visiting.

Great food. Great flavors. The dungeness crab cake is a favorite and is bigger than your typical crab cake. Yellowtail crudo had a fine sweet, tart, and spicy element, but the fish was still very present. The fried squash that came with the salmon had a great seafood element inside. We ordered both the chocolate mousse and the strawberry floating island with every intention to have a chocolate-strawberry bite. Drinks compliment the dishes well, staff is attentive and positive. A little on the pricey side, but it's in a hotel and has the La Jolla tax. Can't wait to try more dishes here.

This restaurant has an amazing view and wonderful renovations. 5 Stars for Location! We've eaten here many times over the last 20 years. 5 Stars for bar staff! The bar staff is amazing, very welcoming, professional and well trained mixologists! No complaints. The Hostess (5 Stars) was wonderful and she gave us a great seat for our celebratory meal. The waiter initially was good, friendly and the crab cake appetizer was delicious! Then the downward spiral began. No second drink order. No entree order for 30+ minutes - we finally asked a busboy. Then another 45-60 minutes for the entrees to come out and when they did, COLD! This was an over $200.00 meal and we got late, cold entrees. We said nothing because we were starving at this point and didn't want to risk another almost hour wait. Worse: the waiter never acknowledged that he's ignored us, was late or asked how our meals were. So we asked for the check and left and ended up ordering desert from room service just to get out of there. We were their to celebrate our anniversary with no mention of it and felt very, very neglected service from appetizers on. We're happy people so we didn't let it ruin our evening but Sea & Air broke our trust for ever celebrating anything there again and we'll definitely caution our friends & clients - as we are locals. I'd go back to the bar only, too expensive to have another bad dining experience in the restaurant.
