Sea Captain's House

We arrived to celebrate our anniversary parking was easy to park. The hostesses were friendly we did make a rsvp in advance we had no wait for our table. They provide us with hush puppies to start our meal which was delicious. We order cocktails while we look at the menu. Appetizers we order the Bang Bang Shrimp that was yummy. For the main course we both order Seafood Platter which didn’t disappoint it tasted so good and we were so full. Overall we love the restaurant vibe in this place the only thing that was little disappointing was I put down its was our 23rd anniversary and nobody said anything about it which was okay but that was only thing I could find that needed to be improved just a simple gesture on a celebration. We would definitely would return such great place and staff thank you everyone!!!

The Food was great everything about this place is great! They give you an opportunity to go buffet or just order from the menu. The buffet is like a standard hotel menu so I dissed it and ordered straight from their menu. I got the Bacon, Egg, Cheese sandwich with fries w/seasalt. Then the 5 French Toast with Strawberry on the side and I ordered a side of eggs! Everything was great the Fries were amazing and cooked to perfection! I recommend this to anyone and it doesn’t hurt the pocket. To add the hot chocolate was also the best I’ve tasted in the US so far, I’m talking about hot chocolate served in restaurants…

I rarely yyyyyyyyyyyy give bad reviews. However I was not pleased with my food at all. The bang bang shrimp was so salty and so was the Ceasars salad dressing. We ordered crab dip and it was so thick, not hot and not flavorful at all. That was my meal. We were their for our 1yr wedding anniversary and talk about being disappointed. 😔 Here on vacation i guess I picked the wrong restaurant this time.

What a cute find! Looked up best places to have breakfast after getting off the airport. We had to try a bit of everything. French toast, 3 egg breakfast, and the crab cake eggs benedict. All was really good. Highly recommended the crab cake eggs benedict.

Wasn’t too sure after reading some reviews but we chose to try it anyways. We have been in search of the best blackened mahi mahi and we found it here! It was phenomenal. As well as the crab dip appetizer. The hush puppies were the best we have had as well. Will definitely return. Our waiter, Hayden, was great! He made the experience a perfect one.

We had lunch, and it was a great experience. Our server, Dave, was very friendly and attentive. The Gruper Ruben was very tasty, and I would recommend it. My friend enjoyed the bang bang shrimp and raved about the hush puppies. The crab dip was a little more cream cheese than I prefer, but she also really liked that. If you're an espresso Martini person, ask for no heavy cream. Get a table with a view if you're there for lunch. Enjoy your time at the Sea Captains house, and don't forget to tip your server.

Highly Recommend! We came for our 22nd wedding anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! Our server was May, and she was so wonderful, attentive and gave great recommendations. The She-Crab soup definitely deserves to be Award Winning! And the Hummingbird Cake is Must-Have! The views of the ocean were beautiful. This place should be visited if you're coming to Myrtle Beach.

What a delightful place to eat! We brought my mom to Myrtle for her 81 birthday. Of course her main thing is eating out. We looked for different places with lots of atmosphere and this was among the best! Mom got the Jambalaya- loved it! My husband and I both got the Seabass. It was delicious. Mom got Key Lime Pie- her favorite- delicious. Hubby got Coconut Cream Cake. While it did taste good, we thought it a bit dry. However, we both love moist desserts. If you like dry cake, it was fantastic. Will definitely be back. Sorry- dove into dessert without picture.
