Other reviews mention that this place is overpriced, but I have never had an issue with the price of the items here because when you buy vintage, you are paying for the item, as well as the resources it took to acquire the piece and the restoration. A lot of the booths are perfectly curated and have a lot of cool, one of a kind pieces.
Now, to add to what all the negative reviews mention about the customer service and the employees here, I agree 100%. I have been coming here since they first opened a few years ago and I have purchased several home pieces and clothing from different vendors. I have even gone to several of their outdoor events, so I have been coming here regularly for three years to know a lot about it.
For a while, I've noticed that the employees are very stand-offish and rude. It has never been a big factor to me since I like the items that the shop sells, and I'm not the kind of customer who expects store employees to cater to me. However, every interaction that I have had with several employees, I've received condescending remarks, dirty looks, loud sighs and rolled eyes, which I wouldn't expect from people who work part-time selling used furniture. A lot of the employees do that weird thing where they will stare at you, give you dirty looks or follow you, but not acknowledge you ( you know the drill). Some of the employees are nice, so it's not all of them, but enough of them that it's a problem. I have seen that they definitely do have a specific type of customer that they actually do cater to.
My experience at the store today is was finally pushed me over the edge with this place. My review is based on my overall experience with Sea Hive over the last three years, not just the interaction today. I will no longer support this shop, and I recommend that no one else does either. This is not the only shop of its kind in the area.
