This place looks like it's a pretty normal sized store from the road but the building actually goes really far back and is packed with vendors. Lots of artwork, vintage books, jewelry, hats, and of course clothes (both men's and women's clothes). Soft leather jackets in perfect condition, cashmere lounge pants - just so many treasures. Editing to add the staff was also lovely and kept taking things to the counter for me so I could explore without knocking things over with clothes and statues I was carrying.

Accessibility: there is a large parking lot with plenty of space. It is located on flat ground, wheelchair accessible. They do have a restroom inside, but im not sure if that is wheelchair accessible. There is a changing room/dressing room inside (see photo). Experience: such an awesome place! They have something of everything! Clothing, hats, jewelry, cards, trinkets, antiques, furniture, candles, oils, soaps, lamps, home goods, notebooks, records, crystals, everything! I could spend 2 hours looking at everything, but unfortunately I didn't have that time today. I'll have to come back soon! The female employees are all so sweet.

Went there while on vacation with my mom and aunt. Like Doctor Who's Tardis, it is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Fun and creative crafts, artwork and vintage items of all kinds throughout the store. They also play funky music! I was dancing in the aisles. We had a great time, and found several items to purchase.

Google
I really love this place! I've been a couple times. The second visit though I was hounded quite a bit by multiple workers taking the items I was putting in my basket every few minutes to the front and it gave me a weird vibe as if I wasn't a trusted shopper. It was a little over the top and didn't give me the most comfortable experience.. The main babe I was in contact with was amazing and very helpful. The vendors and selection is great for personal shopping but also great for getting gifts for friends. Definitely recommend! the building is also huge so there's tons to look at. There's also an AMAZING record vendor and looooots of vintage clothing and goodies.

Google
This place is so much fun! It's bigger than you think, so come when you have a little bit of time to shop. I bought a vintage ring and had a great time looking at everything!

Google
Love to support small businesses but but come on the prices, wow. Businesses knew to realize customers can use Google lens and see the Exact price of their merchandise and see how the merchandise is way overpriced. Merchants need to negotiate, please remember a sale is a sale!

Google
Nice marketplace filled with various vendors. The workers were nice and helpful. Pricing was all over the place and seemed reasonable. Nothing felt too overpriced. I found some good home decor. But you can find anything from new to vintage. Worth the stop.

Google
Fun, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Restroom available. Social distance/ masks required. A combination of Vintage, contemporary, Modern, and mid century vendor spaces. An Assortment of items keeps you moving through this store, and when you think your done. There's more to see. A creative and pleasant place to shop.

Yelp
This is my favorite seahive location. They always have a great selection of good here. Customer service is always good and the place is nice and big.. you don't feel overwhelmed even though there's so many things to look at. If you are looking for something vintage and special, you've come to the right place!

Yelp
Never in my life have I ever been closely followed around by an employee throughout the entire store. My daughter and I were simply browsing, and she bought a small $11.50 item. I guess this lady thought we were going to steal it. She was beyond obvious and funny if she thought we didn't notice. She definitely deterred me from wanting to buy anything. Good thing this marketplace wasn't as great as I had hoped, because we for sure won't be back. Your loss!

Yelp
Meh, I went in looking for treasures and actual 100 yo antique furniture, but too much of what they have is new or recently used merchandise. Too many useless tchotchkes. The one piece of furniture I wanted to purchase had no price tag, and they had no way of contacting the booth owner in a timely fashion. They left a vm but I couldn't just stand there indefinitely waiting. I would've bought it on the spot. Oh well. There's always more treasure to be found elsewhere. Seems popular among the gen z and hipster crowd. Not my vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
You need some time to browse and shop at Sea Hive, we did put some time aside knowing that it's a big vintage market with lots of vendors, merchandise to check out. They do have a lot of everything: clothes, furniture, home decor, books, vinyl, jewelry, trinkets and so on. Mostly in pretty good condition, some on the new-ish side. Pretty good customer service, but the drawback for us was the higher prices, hard to score a deal here. But if you are in O'side and enjoy vintage merch, Sea Hive is worth a visit!

Yelp
Place was really big and had a lot of options . Of course the prices are a bit high but the selections are nice . However this places needs retraining on how to be corteuos and make people feel comfortable. When we walked in we were not greeted by a single person which is not required at all , ( I have 0 preference between a very interactive shopping experience or a very dead one) , but what followed afterwards feels absolutely targeted . Pretty much 5 minutes into the experience I noticed me and my partner were being followed, which would be so different if they were saying hello/making conversation or trying to help . They were simply just staring and walking by, a multitude of employees . It felt suffocating and rude . They should hire security people instead of this creating overwhelming feeling towards many customers, it seems I'm not the first to experience this based on the reviews . Hope they can change this aspect of their business.

Yelp
So overpriced. It's cute and a good idea but some of the vendors are taking advantage of the trend. I wish i had gone to a thrift or vintage store instead but unfortunately i fell for it. Bought this tray for $28 and then found a tag for it for what the vendor paid for... $7. I understand finders fees but that's ridiculous.

Yelp
Seahive is a gem of a vintage marketplace that's much bigger on the inside than it looks. It has countless well-curated booths filled with cool items, vintage pieces, and unique treasures. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore because there's a lot to see. For a lot of the booths, prices are on the higher side, so don't expect thrift store bargains, and keep an eye out for seasonal sales! But if you go hunting, you're sure to find some really cool stuff.

Peyton S.

Yelp
Selling this stuff at retail price is a bit odd at a store like this, but to sell above retail is just plain gross. Oh, no returns or exchanges either.
google avatar

Julius M.

Yelp
Prices were very high and staff was not very helpful. Two pf the staff followed us around the store and made the shopping experience very uncomfortable and annoying
google avatar

Norma N.

Yelp
So many great finds! Love getting a coffee next door and than browsing for a new piece to hang on my art wall or wardrobe. So many incredible vintage pieces for photoshoot styling as well. I also love coming here for gifts as more booths are growing with those items and they have a large selection of greeting cards in the front. It's easy to spend a good amount of time in here and kind of impossible to leave empty handed.
google avatar

Anne F.

Yelp
I was already a fan of the smaller Sea Hive mall location in San Diego so I knew I wanted to stop by the larger store next time I was in Oside. I'm glad I did- I loved browsing the variety of treasures in this store! They have multiple rooms filled with treasures separated by different booths. Everything from fashion to home goods. The also had some non-antique crafted items from local sellers. I look forward to returning again to see what I find next!

Kelly L.

Yelp
Beautiful selection and friendly staff. Would spend hours if I had it!! Definitely take a look!
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
So many cool things, but...... all overly priced. I was hoping to find locally made products. Unfortunately, most are local vendors who buy non-local and mark up the price to make a profit. Kudos to those few vendors who actually make their own products.
google avatar

Tucker L.

Yelp
It's fun to walk through and see all the different items from all different sorts of selections, but the prices are way too high for everything. People are nice and talk to you if you need help.

Margaret N.

Yelp
Friendly shopping helpers all around the store. Be there never be boring anytime. There are many vintage items for your collections, Also there are many new trending items for your learning experience. It is very reasonable prices some of are lower than the market prices. Keep your eye perked!!! See you there!!!
google avatar

Paula B.

Yelp
Very fun to browse around in here. I've passed by so many times and finally stopped by! Cool collection of vintage, hip, hippie and tourist goods.

Yelp
I can't get enough of sea hive. It's a local spot that's walking distance from my house. I probably should walk there because it would make me stop buying things and putting them in my car if I had to carry it back I would think twice about buying.... Every time I visit those new items. It's pretty incredible from the vintage items to the keychains made of license plates to the greeting cards to the record shop to the blue jeans shop to the jewelry shop to the local Oceanside shop to the trading cards in the 50s furniture shop there are just like fifty different shops all under one roof!! If we need to kill any time we end up here and we love it. They also have baba coffee in a little trailer outside.

Jaylene C.

Yelp
I always loved going into SeaHive and looking at all the new items in the store. After today, I will not be returning. My friend and I experienced being followed multiple times by staff as they made intense uncomfortable eye contact with us. I walked up to the front counter to use the restroom. I heard staff conversing about the whereabouts of my friend and I. As if our presence in the building was an inconvenience. What a disappointing customer service experience and for all the vendors who have their items in store. The customer service is preventing customers from wanting to purchase. Which is upsetting because a lot of the vendors do have really cool stuff to offer.
google avatar

Jess R.

Yelp
I love stopping in here to see the new stuff they got, lots of cool and different vendors
google avatar

Yelp
Put on your walking shoes! This place is large and filled with endless vintage and new merchandise. There is plenty of parking space since this spot was a car lot at one time. You will find a mix of things here. From greeting cards to vintage furniture. And fun and unique things in between, including some unique plants. The day of my visit there were a few employees (friendly and helpful) covering this large floor plan, making sure everyone was doing fine while browsing. I found the prices to be on the higher end, but you may find that to be the opposite. You will have to judge for yourself. I must say that the merchandise are in great condition though. They have a great selection of jewelry too. On my visit, I walked away with a small plant (4 inch Peperomia Rosso plant), a different looking plant that I haven't seen before. Also a small, tin planter for the plant and a pair of replica vintage sunglasses. The place is definitely worth checking out.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
This location has an awkward floor plan, and I don't think I have been there once were it didn't sound like someone was breaking something. Lots and lots of random kitchy items, and a decent amount of vintage but the quality does not meet the price points. If we are bored and driving by we will stop, but it is definitely not a place I go to with an intended purpose. Employees aren't the friendliest, and getting assistance is difficult. For instance the last time we were there it was an inconvenience for the person to ring us up to pay, kind of turns me off from even wanting to stop in the future.
google avatar

Jenna D.

Yelp
Such a cool consignment shop. First, this place is huge! But it isn't overwhelming because it's a collection on curated rooms, each with its own theme. Rustic cabin (clothes, decor, Knick knacks), mid century modern, beachy, zen, psychedelic, etc. It's a mix in terms of price. I got a gorgeous Ralf Lauren tweed jacket for $30! Some great finds await!
google avatar

Bup W.

Yelp
A wonderful place to find great treasures and beautiful items. The workers are always very friendly and a polite to talk with. So many one of a kind items under one roof.
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
I purchased a "plant" that turns out after MUCH care research, to be a hoya LEAF with roots and NO NODE for $26 There was NO disclosure that these leaves do NOT grow into plants but rather stay a single leaf sticking up in the soil that you have to care for for several years and then they die!!! I asked if I may exchange for another plant of same or lesser value. The manager returned my call stating that the grower dies this as a profession, they said the leafs do turn into plants and i have to be patient. So I checked, and as EVERY SINGLE professional website and article states, NO they grow roots and stay a plant, there is NO NODE ON THIS LEAF! I think this is absolutely unprofessional. I will no longer frequent a store that allows vendors to sell a product without such important information at an above market price and tell me basically tuff crap you git rooked buying a "plant" that'll NEVER BE A PLANTyou gave us your cash and we're keeping it no matter what!
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
Always sooooo many items to choose from! This location is close to other vintage shops which i love. Some of the items are a little overpriced for what they are, but you can always find some gems for a really good price!
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Seahive has quickly become my go to for gifts and finding unique home decor. I love how curated each stall is and it's a place anyone can find anything to love. One of my favorite things I've found from this location is a swedish paper doll print WITH frame for only $38! It was in pristine condition and my only regret is that I didn't buy all of them.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
There are a lot of stuff in this place... each local business have a small showcase spot and its almost like ikea where there is one flow of traffic (could just be the pandemic but it makes sense to do it all the time for you not to miss the displays). Some things are unique to each merchant but I found it pricey. We got this ring that was 90% off... and still paid $20. So, it made us think that is could've been marked up? But super cute arts, jewelry and decors. Fun to walk through. You write down and pick what you want and you pay for it at the end. Check it out!

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Lots of fun! Great time doing karaoke with friends! I loved it because you are singing with friends in a private room rather than on stage in front of strangers.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
When you enter into Sea Hive you might get the same feeling as me... Am I in Mary Poppins endless bag or walking into merchandise Narnia?! It's kinda wild how every single room you walk into seems like it might be the end.... But it isn't! I loved every carefully curated area of merch. Most of the areas are themed so if you're looking for a certain type of vibe, it's here. I purchased the most random bunch of items and left feeling complete. Sea Hive is such an excellent way to support small businesses and artists. They do events and have another shop set up in Point Loma at Liberty Station.

Firas B.

Yelp
Be ready for employees to follow you around this store. They treat everyone that walks through the door as a shoplifter... mentioned to the cashier how uncomfortable it was to be treated that way. Purchased two albums from this store to add to my collection.
google avatar

Rose P.

Yelp
I went to this place looking for inexpensive jeans,to find expensive items. It's quite pricey. There's a lot to look at,something for everyone to walk down memory lane, the music is also nostalgic. But if you're looking for inexpensive clothing look elsewhere.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Rad vintage marketplace with over 100 vendors! We came in, grabbed some coffee from The Captains Grounds, and shopped! Sea Hive is packed with amazing finds but without the cluttered feel you get in some antique stores. The layout is easy to navigate. You get the sense that there are a ton of fun treasures to see without feeling lost. The employees in the black aprons are super friendly and helpful, so it doesn't even feel like the vendors are all separate businesses. This place is especially fantastic if you are into vintage jewelry. There were a ton of beautiful turquoise pieces. This is a must-see stop during a trip to Oceanside!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Oh Sea Hive, where do I begin? This huge antique mall looks so unassuming from the front, nestled into a corner of a big parking lot off of Coast Highway, you'd never imagine what treasures you may find inside. Sea Hive has everything from art to vintage to collectible to handmade - there truly is something for everyone inside this unique haven. Each vendor has its own space, and you can mosey about and take your time (trust me, you'll need time) to browse. The first time I checked out Sea Hive several months ago, I just couldn't believe it kept going and going, there's so much to see! My favorite finds so far have been authentic turquoise jewelry, small animal taxidermy encapsulated in resin, vintage (still working!) microphones and various handmade candles, soaps, etc. The vendors really do their best to put a personal "feel" into their space, which I love. The staff is always incredibly helpful but in a very non-pressure type of way. They hang around in case you need them but don't hover. I appreciate that, as I tend to get a little lost in my own world in this place. On my last visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Tracy and Aprill, both of which are wonderful, talented ladies that are really active in the local community. If you are in the area, definitely check out Sea Hive and discover some treasures for yourself!
google avatar

Mariano R.

Yelp
Other reviews mention that this place is overpriced, but I have never had an issue with the price of the items here because when you buy vintage, you are paying for the item, as well as the resources it took to acquire the piece and the restoration. A lot of the booths are perfectly curated and have a lot of cool, one of a kind pieces. Now, to add to what all the negative reviews mention about the customer service and the employees here, I agree 100%. I have been coming here since they first opened a few years ago and I have purchased several home pieces and clothing from different vendors. I have even gone to several of their outdoor events, so I have been coming here regularly for three years to know a lot about it. For a while, I've noticed that the employees are very stand-offish and rude. It has never been a big factor to me since I like the items that the shop sells, and I'm not the kind of customer who expects store employees to cater to me. However, every interaction that I have had with several employees, I've received condescending remarks, dirty looks, loud sighs and rolled eyes, which I wouldn't expect from people who work part-time selling used furniture. A lot of the employees do that weird thing where they will stare at you, give you dirty looks or follow you, but not acknowledge you ( you know the drill). Some of the employees are nice, so it's not all of them, but enough of them that it's a problem. I have seen that they definitely do have a specific type of customer that they actually do cater to. My experience at the store today is was finally pushed me over the edge with this place. My review is based on my overall experience with Sea Hive over the last three years, not just the interaction today. I will no longer support this shop, and I recommend that no one else does either. This is not the only shop of its kind in the area.

Yelp
Lots of beauiful high quality items throughout this antique mall/store. One can find old records, southwest jewelry, succulents and candles, and houseware decorations, as well as Scandinavian Mid Century furniture. All sales folks were friendly and offered to help find certain items, if needed. My friend was looking for a jewelry box but didn't find the perfect one for her. Instead she found a beautiful 10 strand turquoise beaded necklace. I found a fossiled shark tooth! If you see something inside a case, just find a sales staff who will open the case for you. Once you find what you want to buy, just bring it up to the front . We asked about the turquoise necklace and the front sales person called the actual vendor while we were there to find out more information! Now that is VIP treatment! Sea Hive is wheelchair accessible. My friend is in a motorized scooter and we also saw another customer in a wheelchair. Free parking lot on the lot.

Yelp
These guys are KILLLLLLLLING IIIIIIIIT! If you're into vintage/antiques/hand made/art/unique finds, this is your joint. We walked in thinking it was some small, quaint shop and nooooope, this sucker keeps going and going... Spoke to the owner and in the coming months they're expanding to include coffee and donuts and then in about a year putting in more food/wine/beer. I'm in love already but this place sounds like it's just going to keep getting better and better. I WILL be back to check out what each vendor (over 100 represented here) has to offer week in and week out, but already anticipating the future of this place.
google avatar

Joanne K.

Yelp
This place is a haven of vintage goods. I love bohemian home decor, and always find new pieces for my eclectic and cozy apartment every time I come here. This shop is comprised of many local vendors, so each item is individually priced by the vendor- not the owners of the shop. Therefore, you'll find some pretty marked up pieces in some parts of the store, and great deals in other parts. Some vendors do have sales going on, so make sure to look out for any signs indicating so. My only complaint is that they don't have any shopping carts or baskets, so it makes it a little cumbersome to shop around the store. However, the staff is more than happy to take your item(s) to the front and hold onto them for you while you continue to peruse. I just wish this store was closer to me!
google avatar

Maya Y.

Yelp
I'm not an antique or vintage shopper, but I kept hearing about this marketplace from a wide range of age groups so I decided to go check it out. I'm so glad I did because this is now my go-to place for home decor, house plants, birthday gifts, Mother's/Father's Day gifts, clothing, beach gear, records, accessories, cooking spices, kitchenware... you name it. It's so much more than just an antique mall! They have the store separated into different sections by seller, which makes it super fun to walk through. You'll spend hours in this place - make sure to walk through all of it, the store goes waaayy back!
google avatar

Jerome L.

Yelp
This review is more so for the service than the items. Tiffany is awesome! She is helpful, courteous, and kind! She made our shopping experience at SH enjoyable! Thanks Tiffany!

Avalon E.

Yelp
Absolutely love Sea Hive. They have a huge variety of vintage and handmade items. Lots of different vendors to checkout. I have found some amazing finds every time I've gone

Yelp
*******Discrimination *******Below average just because 0f the offensive following me around the store.... I am completely offended & disappointed...the nerve a minority worker following me around the store, obviously because I am minority myself...is absolutely disturbing!!!.. I know he was following me because there was a Caucasian lady in our vicinity &. Didnt bother with her. He went out his way to keep behind me turn his body & bent to see what was in my hand. I finally turned to him & asked if he wanted to take it to the front because he was following me...he said sure...no denial, no apology nothing. My daughter even noticed his stalking behavior...UNPROFESSIONAL I have been a resident of Oceanside & spent hundreds of$$$ in this store...can actually afford to buy whatever I want in that store & to be DISCRIMINATED like that is appalling & unprofessional...they lost a customer & lots of $$$ from me & I hope that whoever reads this
google avatar

Esther D.

Yelp
An antique mall that's bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a pretty big variety of items. Vintage jewelry, vintage clothes, shoes and bags, furniture, house decor & plenty of kitch. It's set up with booths, some with different themes and styles. There are some art items, collectibles, a few great surf boards, and some craft & repurposed pieces. The prices seem reasonable, not bargain but not outrageous.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
Kool place Lots of stuff to see Stuff is reasonably priced for the most part Bring your comfy shoes cuz this place is huge The staff could be a little friendlier
google avatar

Mari P.

Yelp
This is a great place to spend on a random day off or especially the weekends. My husband and I love hunting for goodies with stories and this place has all that and more. It's very hard to describe because I truly feel like it's a place to be experienced. Just know to give yourself a lot of time to really explore and don't worry they have a restroom so bring your coffee, you'll probably need the energy!

Lydia W.

Yelp
It has a very interesting collection and is deceptively large. Many different venders and cool vintage retro stuff, displayed in interesting ways. Densley laid out. I went there with my sister who is here on vacation from Seattle. We were met at the front door with a loud hello, from a young guy who got up in our faces. It was weird but we brushed it off as someone being overly enthusiastic. An older lady who looked like his mom, immediately started following us and watching our every move. I think they were some kind of security team. They fixated on us and made us very uncomfortable. This continued ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE HIVE! There were many customers flowing in and out, so we were wondering why we were targeted in such an obvious and rude manner. The young guy kept popping up to loudly ask how we were doing numerous times. It was really bizarre. We bought a couple pairs of sun glasses that we love, but WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! Those two people ruined our experience there and probably let a lot of shop lifters get away with theft, because they focused all of their attention on my sister and I (we have never stolen or even had a need to steal anything ever). It was depressing. I will tell everyone I know about this unnerving experience at this expensive second hand store with bad service.
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
Came here with high expectations and was pretty disappointed. Most of the stuff is wildly overpriced and the selection is pretty narrowly focused to mid century modern and kitsch. Tried on only one dress and unfortunately it didn't fit and I didn't find anything else worth the price. The tiki items were priced outrageously so if that's your thing, don't bother.
google avatar

Leanne D.

Yelp
First time visiting the Sea Hive Market. Very nice antique market. More organized than most and a little pricier. They sell coffee here you can enjoy while browsing the booths. Very nice touch ! We did leave with a small treasure and will definitely return.
google avatar

Alisa M.

Yelp
Best antique mall I have ever been to. Very nicely organized and displayed and some really great stuff. Especially love the contemporary modern items and the tiki culture items. I would say this place has something for everyone. You don't realize how huge this place is until you walk around. Another place I could spend hours and big bucks in.
